Hey guys and welcome to the first video on my brand new channel Jam does Minecraft so today I’m starting a new project I’m going to be building an automated Metro System I’m on a paper server with a few plugins most importantly train carts Link in the description and also welded it as a First stage I’m going to be linking this Harbor down here to this little Hut up on the hill so I’m starting off by just building a really basic platform down by the Harbor now I’m tunneling into the side of the Hill because the station for the Hut is going to be Underground hi I’m also extending the line away from the harbor as in the next video I’m going to be extending this line to another station so hit subscribe now if you don’t want to miss out on that however there’s also a reason that I’m doing this right now instead of Waiting until the next video and that will become clear a bit later in this Video now I just need to link the two stations with some tracks and once I’ve done that the fun can begin Right so now we actually need to create some signs to control our mine carts and how it’s going to work essentially is we are going to put a train cart sign under this rail to create our trains they’re going to go all the way through here to the har station turn Around and then back again and then they’re going to be destroyed so that’s the reason why I built this extra little bit of track that just goes beyond the station for the little house on the hill um and the sign that I always create first is the destroy Train sign cuz Otherwise if we start creating them first it is a pain in the neck because we end up with Trains being created that just survive forever which is no good so I’m going to go ahead and add a sign and to destroy train so we just Want to put it under the track like that and so train in square brackets the little plus means this is always powered we don’t need to give it a redstone signal um and then destroy if I could actually spell this destroy there we go destroy as easy as that Cool and then we just cover that back up with gravel and add the track back in we also need signs for our stations to actually stop the trains so yeah we just want to do this in the middle of our station here so one for each Direction So again we start plus train and square brackets then the word station then on the next line how long we want the train to stop for so 5 Seconds um and then continue because after the train has stopped we want the train to carry on moving in the same direction and this One it’s going to be exactly the same so train station five continue cool then our station over here so this one’s going to be slightly different again it’s going to be train station and again let’s just hold the train for 5 seconds but instead of continuing in The same direction we want our train to head back the other way so we’re going to type reverse just like that click done track back over right so that’s all the Train control we need apart from actually spawning the trains but before we do that we want to Make sure that all the chunks that the trains will be traveling through are always loaded I think train carts is actually supposed to keep chunks around moving trains loaded um but in my experience it doesn’t really do that properly so I’m using a plugin called keep Junks and we can actually use this in conjunction with world edit to Mark what we want to keep so just mark an area so I’m just doing this straight back bit of track first and then it’s can I remember it SL casc keep region and then bu edit there We go so that’s going to keep all of those chunks that that track passes through in memory and then we can just do the same for this section over here exactly the same command once we’ve marked that area with our world edit wand cool and it’s probably not strictly necessary For this Railway as it is at the moment because it’s so small it’s right by the spawn point you know this is all going to be loaded at once but I thought I’d show you anyway uh because it’s very useful and it will be essential once we expand our little Metro System So I think we are ready to start spawning trains so one final sign under our track plus train again then want to spawn and this time we have a few things on the same line so interval so we can actually spawn trains over and over again at a set time Interval so I’m going to choose 30 seconds um we can choose a launch velocity just type one and then on the third line it’s the type of carts you want so let’s have trains that are eight carts long so eight and then we’re going to Type M uh Which just means use normal mine carts for all the carts in a train so we can click done on there and you can see we’ve got a nice little confirmation message there and with any luck after 30 seconds we will get our first train appearing and there we go and there it Goes reversing just like we on the side and you can see our second train coming along there amazing And it’s gone so there it is a fully automated two station Railway in Minecraft I’ve got big plans for this I’m going to be adding more stations more lines announcements Maps so if you don’t want to miss out on all of that then hit subscribe now also don’t forget To like this video because that will really help the channel right I think I’m going to get on a train and take a ride see you next Time Video
