Insane Minecraft Mod Adds Celestial Objects

As you may or may not know recently I overw myself by spending a month straight on this really cool dimension mod that I made for a video so after that I needed a break I needed something like a hobby project what’s this hobby project you ask well uh overworking

Myself for a monstrate in order to add stars and planets to Minecraft and as a result I can now present to you astronomical this little cool space mod centered about stargazing stars planets and many other space things and today I figured I’d show you a list of the

Features that I coded during this hobby month we’ll call it a hobby month yes overwork myself but let’s keep it a hobby all right so in order to show you the features from the ground zero I hopped in a new world which is a lie it’s not actually a new world it’s a

Debug world that I’ve used many many times but pretend it’s a new world so the first thing you’ll notice by gazing up with this mod is um absolutely nothing at first glance it doesn’t seem like the night sky has changed at all but trust me it has you just need to pay

A little more attention and if we search around there’s one as you can see there’re still the normal Minecraft stars but additional to these there’s now these cool twinkling stars but they’re really hard to see so we’re going to need a little bit of extra help before we start stargazing the first

Thing you’ll want to acquire are these marshmallows now you can craft them following that recipe and you can put them on a stick to make well as you guessed a marshmallow on a stick now you also noticed in the tool tip that it says uncooked now with any fire Source

We’re going to use a campfire uh you can do with lava or a regular fire you’re now going to be able to put the marshmallow over the fire and as you can see now it has a cooking meter and depending on how long we spend cooking the marshmallow it’s going to go through

Different states slightly roasted we can get to regular roasted and if we spend the extra time and as you can see it’s going to be a quick one there we go you can get perfectly roasted but naturally you can also burn them and yes I see you already

Typing your comment in the comment section yes this this whole mod is just an out of world reference I get it yeah I made the mod I know thank you now when you need a roasted marshmallow you’re always going to get the star gazing effect that will last until the sunrise

Now the better you cook the marshmallow of course the better the effect is going to be so slightly roasted is going to be stargazing one roasted is going to give a stargazing two and perfectly roasted is going to give a stargazing three and now if i gaze up with the stargazing

Effect you may be able to notice very easily or not depending on YouTube compression that these new stars are very easy to see as they’re very much brighter and twinkling a little bit so if we Zoom as you can see yeah they’re they’re just much brighter now and now

That you can more easily spot these Stars this is where I build the plot twist they’re actually interactable in order to interact with them you’ll just need to use a spy glass and look at them through the lens of the spy glass enjoy the show look at them

Contract and go supernova now I can also look at this one which is also going to go off now this one was white there’s a whole variety of colors for the Supernova this one is red and look at those oh my God they’re absolutely gorgeous if you keep looking at stars

And making them go supernova eventually you’ll be able to trigger second phenomenon there we go that’s the second thing I want to show you see triggering supernovas has a chance to in turn also trigger these shooting stars to fall from the sky now these fallen stars will land somewhere around your position but

Sometimes like this one here as you can see it’s it’s a bit hidden they’re going to be a little bit hard to find so if you’re a good enough cook and you manage to get a roasted marshmallow on a stick and eat it you can now see the position

Of the fallen stars in your world so you can hunt them a little bit more easily now there’s still no use for the perfectly roasted marshmallow which is also really hard to get because of the timing so uh if you have any idea just just leave a comment now once you manage

To get to these fallen stars you’ll have the option to shatter them and doing so we well shatter them into multiple Asal fragments that will lay on the floor despite these being very pretty having twinkled particles that you can also play with in your inventory they

Actually have quite a few uses in many crafting recipes the first of these uses are star Mallows just like regular marshmallows these can be put on a stick and cooked near a campfire in order to increase that cooking value and also Grant you a new status effect whenever

They are consumed Starfall falling stars are pretty rare whenever you cause a supernova so with Starfall you can actually increase your chances and your number of fallen stars for each Supernova you cause as you can see here we got three but it can go up to four

For level three oh you know 256 for level 255 oh and I also forgot to mention for marshmallows so I’m just going to put it here but marshmallows and stows can be actually put in cans in order to make it more convenient so you don’t have to craft every time you want

To put a marshmallow on a stick or a Stow on a stick you can just get it from the Canon and boom and then just pack up the can and just bring it along with your travels the second use of Astral fragments are astral lanterns now these

Are just a little pretty block with a cool full inst stall renderer inside of it and as you can see you can use it to spruce up your builds with a little bit of a magical Aura but that’s pretty much about it the third use for astral fragments are to make astral containers

These offer a new opportunity whenever you find full install see normally you would have to destroy it but with astral containers you can actually now collect the treasure inside now just got to start but astronic has four four different Nano asteral objects that you can collect you have Nano planets Nano

Stars Nano rings and nanocosmos first planets they have a texture and two color parameters for the texture you’ll have to be lucky and hunt a few stars but for the colors you can actually interact with the item and customize the color and look you can just do whatever

Planet you want as you can see and we’re going to use a different texture here look Cher Planet Batman now I’m not going to go over all the textures in this video but eventually hopefully maybe there’ll be a Wiki to list all them second our rings with a texture and

A color parameter and just like planets texture cannot be modified but the color parameter you can absolutely go to your hearts content third off Stars which have a temperature parameter that cannot be changed ranging from 1,000 Kelvin to 10,000 Kelvin that dictate that color going from red to blue and finally a

Nanocosmos you can see on my right which have a texture parameter which as you can guess cannot be changed you also have to be lucky in addition to all these parameters every nanal object also shares one common parameter and that is the size which as you can see very

Varies a lot that is going to regulate how big they display once once we get to that part and like the color parameter you can actually change it for every single Nano astral object but it’s going to take a little more than just interacting with the item if you want to

Modify the size you’ll have to find a fullen stall and interact with it with the Nano asrol object this will put it in the middle of the full install if you want to shrink the nestal object you’ll have to reset the size to one in order

To do that you’ll have to hold an estal container and attack the star with the astral container and boom that will put the Nano Asal object back into the astral container size one as you can see and drop all the extra sizes as additional shots and if you want to

Increase the size you’ll have to follow the same process but instead of attacking with the astral container you will increase it with astral fragments which I’m in Creative right now but it will consume them and whenever you’re done you can get it back in the astral

Container as you can see right now size 15 now the fourth and final use of Astral fragments are where it gets interesting see let’s pretend we’ve collected quite a few fallen stars gotten stars planets Rings nanocosmos pretty much everything and now it’s it’s time to display them well all you need

To do is to craft an astral display place it down place your prize inside and once you power it up you now have a pretty planet and with these astral displays well you can display pretty much anything you’ve collected like nanocosmos which are going to wrap an

Area around and make it look really pretty so this one is stars or maybe you know an actual star and as you can see you have up to five items you can put in this which allows you to combine multiple things like rings and planets and maybe nanocosmos and maybe you know

Another ring which will be inside the planet the the the possibilities are endless and there’s really a lot of cool stuff you can do with this or you can do my favorite which is combining planets and stars and make custom called it stars and also another thing that I

Should probably mention is that the order seems to matter in the way it displays things as you can see this is very different from putting this planet first and then the star uh yeah there’s a lot of things you can experiment with there’s really endless potential and

This may surprise you but this is actually the simplest way to use these displays so if you want to learn how to use them properly and get real complex you’re going to want to listen carefully when you place an astral display you’ll notice that it can be oriented in

Different directions but for now we’re going to focus on the facing upwards Direction when facing upwards an astral display we have two parameters first the height at which it’s displayed and the rotation speed of the thing it’s displaying so if we trigger this one as you can see the star will be rotating

And it’ll be a bit up but we can naturally adjust that to be more or less and same for the speed we can make it very fast I’ll just stack IC no no movement at all now it gets interesting the moment we start orienting displays towards another one now we’re going to

Have this Central display facing up and this one facing towards the central display and respect that order it’s very important now in this one we’re going to put our nanop planet and the moment we power it as you can see there will now be a beam going from the child astral

Display to the center astral display and when we interact with that child astral display we’ll also notice that there’s two parameters but the first one is a little different this time around it actually controls the speed at which the astral object alits around the Center

One so we put it to 07 but we can put it to the max as you can see yeah that that that or bits you can put additional child displays connected to the center in two ways the first way is to Simply get another Direction you know put it

Here align it put another planet set the rotation and then boom you have another planet which collides with this one which if it doesn’t rotate will also have a different position uh on the axis but the other way to do it is to actually connect it and extend the range

Like this we’re going to power power this one and then we’re going to put another planet here and as you can see if I power this one it will also orbit around this star which allows you to have this Center display right here and we’re going to put two additional

Displays with two stars around it and then we’re going to put the orbit to 09 here and then 09 here and then we’re going to increase uh the height of this one there we go like this and then boom we have two stars orbiting around each other now this is already pretty cool

You have things that can orbit around a center display and you can have entire solar systems that way but it gets crazier than that if you put a horizontal Asal display behind another horizontal Asal display it’s going to connect to the center one like I showed previously like this going to put Planet

Here and then boom as you can see it’s going to orbit around the star but if you put it perpendicularly we’re going to put a planet here power it as you can notice this planet we’re going to increase the orbit speed actually orbits around this planet instead of the center

Star this planet now has a moon but see it gets even crazier than that because you can do that infinitely so we’re going to put another astral displays connecting perpet inally to that one power it and then I’m going to put you know another nanop planet and if I

Increase the orbit speed a little bit so you can see a little better as you can see we now have this Moon orbiting around this Moon orbiting around this planet orbiting around this sun and you can pretty much do this like I said infinitely you can have a moon orbiting

Around a moon orbiting around a moon orbiting around a moon orbiting around a planet orbiting around a sun orbiting around another Sun the possibilities are truly endless I can show you a little more of what we built on KMP with Blake silver and Lux

Uh as you can see here we have this very much outer Wilds Observatory with a lot of cool astral lanterns and when you flick this lever like I showed at the start for those of you who’ve played out of Wilds this is a construction of the

Solar system as you can see uh with the ash winds as you can see with the sand pillar in between the two planets with the sun with giants deep with dark Bramble uh this random planet we had it for fun uh as you can see another moon

With a ring around it my my favorite part is just this look at this look at this beautiful sand pillar going between the two asns and yeah there’s generally a lot of cool stuff you can do with that mod so you’ll be happy to know I’m releasing it for free it’s available

In the mod I lied there’s actually a fifth secret one in order to get that fifth secret astral object you’ll need to get both stargazing and starall level three so that means a perfectly roasted marshmallow and a perfectly roasted star mallow and then get an under ey in your

Off hand and with the main Asal container in the main hand you’ll collect it now if we go and place it in an Asal display that is powered as you can see it’s still going to say out of wat spoiler even though you know it’s just inverted but in order to fix that

All you have to do is get mod menu scroll down or search astronomical ignore the fact that there’s still no icon to the mod head to the configuration options on the right have you played and finished out a world I have so you turn that on and there you

Go you have a beautiful eye of the universe just for yourself and let me just say I went above and beyond just for this one tiny thing look at this the symbol the storm flashing the fact that it actually curves and looks like an eye the fact that the storm reflects on the
