Insane Minecraft Tree Farm & Coal Coke Automation!

Between episodes what I’ve done is I’ve gone ahead and done a bunch more wood cutting I’ve done a bunch more you know wood smelting it’s you way to charcoal and I put up onto that charcoal into our cook ovens at the way now we have just

Shining over two stacks of a coal cook as well as a whopping 80 buckets worth of creosote as well as a lot extra in some of these tanks here and on top of that we also now have a nice 48 book it’s worth of lava in our portable tank

As well which will hopefully and make it a lot easier for us to make a blast furnace at some point in at today’s stream and hopefully therefore be able to get steel much much easier going forward so what we could do now right chat is we could take all of our coal

Cook we could grind it all down in our crusher we could put it into the squeeze that we could make some more hot graphite ingot we could make another piece of TNT and we could try to blow that hot graphite up to try and get the diamond nuggets again and then maybe

Look at making a simple refined storage network but instead I want to take a bit of a detour because I want to make it a little less painful when we don’t get any diamond nuggets and the way that we do that is by automating the process right if we could automate the growing

Of trees the collecting of wood the smelting of wood into charcoal and then the putting of that charcoal into the coke oven to get cold coke and then potentially even you know alternate the whole pot that the whole point of taking the coal cook pushing it and then

Squeezing it it’s gonna make life a lot easier because then we can just kind of let the pack run get a lot of hot graphite and then blow up like a stack right and then we’re kind of not guaranteed but significantly more likely to actually get those diamond nuggets

And so that’s kind of the plan of for today’s episode but to do that I think we’re going to need another seven by seven by seven compact machine because this one here is quite full and you do need at least a seven by seven room to actually grow trees I don’t think we

Have enough space in this room at a set of the automated a tree farm that I do have in mind and the tree farm I’m gonna make is basically this one here now there is a quest for automated wood but slightly tweaked so this one uses a

Sight oh girl or fight ogre max you’re not quite sure how that’s pronounced mine has a slightly different method of accelerating at the growth of trees but in general and the idea here is it’s gonna be the same so I think that the first thing we will do here is make

Another seven by seven room for this tree farm we should that have what it takes to make the yeah new 7×7 fantastic I think I will for nill at least put this maybe like right here yeah we can always move that in the future and like I said thing I

Would you want to redo at this room at some point fairly shortly but so for now we have this new 7 by 7 by 7 compact machine which is wonderful and hopefully we can get a tree if I’m going here now before we do that I do want to finish up

The second compact box here and I think I’m probably chance going to maybe we use one of these cubes are gonna be empty this cube out or potentially this cube but could only move this much more easily right yeah they’re gonna move the small compactor and then reclaim this as

Like a new a new power box so yeah we now have a new compact machine brick of power ready to provide power to our tree farm which is going to go in this 7 by 7 a compact machine here now in order to actually make this tree farm let’s get to work

We need a couple of things as I mentioned earlier the tree farm is pretty much exactly the same tree farm as is listed in this quest here it says if you want ultimate wood production you need a bit of redstone magic clickers and fertilizer I’d recommend a selection

Of items like these all you need is to supply power and keep a steady stream of items to plant fertilize and harvest with these seven easy steps will teach you how to set it up and they tell you how to set it up using these items here

Now I have a slightly different plan to the plan that they’ve laid out here but for the most part the plan is almost exactly the same so we would need a 6 Auto clickers we’ll go ahead and bookmark those yeah we need to not gates

For those who don’t know a lot gate will basically invert the signal so if it’s got no signal on you’ll see em if you can kind of see it here but if it has no signal on the backside that it’s going to send a signal to one of its other

Sides if it has a signal on the back side that it’s gonna not send a signal to all the other side so basically just inverts a redstone signal which is nice we need oak saplings which we have we need phyto grow which I’m not gonna make

Because my system doesn’t use it we need red alloy wire which I’ll go ahead and bookmark as well how easy is this to make I actually don’t know it’s very easy to make it’s just redstone lion fantastic we then need for ball one Sano’s which I think that’s how that’s

Pronounced these are made by crafting iron with a ball on her axe shovel pickaxe and sword all of which should be easy enough to do we in fact did make one in the last room because it was part of this quest here and we do have it a

Fall and I think to get all of that going in fact we should probably look at starting to smelt some of that born up fairly easily here I’m actually not quite sure what I did there to get fragmented carboneau ice melted planks I accidentally put planks in the end the

Wrong spot there that’s fine I’ll be a little awkward now we have to use even more very slots and on top of that I think we are premature up to go yeah there’s nothing else in here that we actually need I think I might need seven

Oh no that’s fine it up we still eat six clickers that’s all good so the clickers are easy enough we need stone I am and machine kissing now I actually don’t think we have that much stone I also know that we have a super easy way of

Making stone outside of just smelting it we could switch over our English extruder but I think that’s a lot of work that’s probably unnecessary so I think chat is once again a time to engage the vast power of our 10 furnaces that we have here to hopefully get this

Chugging away I gonna grab some more well first of all gonna fill all this up with with fuel and I’ll go grab some more cobblestone from a little a little compact machine I think we have enough copper for now so that we’d have to worry about that too too much for one

Stops melting away iron and we’d asked worried about either we have iron being smelted forests lies oh good we’re very quickly running out of space mostly due to them in the number of ingots that we have just of all all shapes and sizes and let’s go grab some

More cobblestone real quick the couple stole all tricky to get I guess I can subscribe from here right perfect all right I think I should be enough right that’s it like a lot of stone and then what else we need here so we need the the bond specs holes which are

Easier to come by our specs will hose the read le wire will go ahead and make that real quick I guess redstone and we’ve all got the iron honors fantastic so I think it was just like this it was and but we only need I think 12 red

Alloy I was gonna be more than enough and now this looks like it’s a little bit more of a pain to make but thankfully just requiring that red alloy wire so now let’s go ahead and just make I guess three of that and that starts marking that up over here while we wait

For that I think these also do need stone yeah you smelt the stone into circuit plates and every single one of these needs circuit plates and so I guess we’ll also go ahead and start smelting some of the stone that we have in these furnaces into those circuit

Plates over there and then other than that we just need redstone torches redstone and more it’s done okay nice they don’t seem too difficult whatsoever alright I think that’s everything chat to make the six Autolycus it is indeed I’m only gonna make six for nail although we can make seven I’ll come

Back to that last one if and when we need it we should have what it takes to make that red alloy wire as well we do indeed fantastic I also think chat we pretty much have everything that it takes to make our to not gets as well we

Need at least six redstone torches because we need six of these thankfully they do stack which is very nice we need two of these really sets of three fantastic read one conductive sorry to even conductive plates I think chant that gets us to not gets and also a very packed invent we are

Missing one one plate boom nice alright so the point here chat is inside of our seven by seven by seven room it does need to be a seven by seven by seven room because for one trees can’t grow in smaller rooms and two if you make it in

A bigger room if you try and make it in a nine by nine by nine room then the trees will go too big right we won’t be able to control how big the trees grow so that we can break them down effectively because the idea here is

That we’re gonna have a piece of dirt in the like so we’re gonna have a sampling on that piece of dirt the quest book mentions pulling you know stone all around the the bottom here I guess we can do that just for effect like so and we’re gonna have one auto clicker right

Here and this guy is going to be set to sneak and to right-click that’s going to place the saplings down and all of that to work you do have to have a block here so that it actually knows that it can shift right click so for example right

Now if I put that there nothing’s gonna happen but if I put our other clicker right here eventually this guy will you know finish its timer and actually place down a sapling nice so we’ll come back to this auto clicker in a second but then we’re gonna

Have to not gates we’re gonna have one here and we’re gonna have one here so the kind of both facing in this direction the idea with this is that right now you’ll see that on this side there was no redstone signal coming in and so on this side there is a redstone

Signal coming out this side has no redstone signal coming in and has redstone signals coming out so right now this is sending out a redstone signal the idea is that as soon as this tree grows a block will be placed because it will turn into oak wood at which point

The redstone signal from here will pass through disabling this redstone signal and the reason we want to do that is because the auto clickers that we have here will work if they’re if they don’t have a redstone signal the way these work is the by default they’re clicking

All of the time as soon as they get a redstone signal they stop clicking so the plan is to have four of these Auto clickers up the walls we’re gonna have one here here here and here all of these will be set to left click and all of

These are going to have a specs all her inside of them careful not to stand in that line of sight because otherwise they will hit you but if you have them all down like this basically the tree will only have wood going up to here

Because we’re in that 7 by 7 room and the top two blocks will only ever believes I believe so we have this lovely set up here we they need to run our read our wire up like this so right now because they have no redstone signal

These guys are working if we were to break this block the redstone signal will be sent all of these right now are not breaking anything which means they’re not going to break the sapling until it turns into a tree now we do also need to make all of the bow on

Specs on hers in here which we might have enough bow on to do potentially we got 35 on here and we already have one of the other ball on specs all hers ready to go so let me put one of these in at the bottom here now I do think

I’ll get back to this in a bit extinct there’s some things we might have to do with the timing of all these also clickers to make the whole system kind of as effective as it can possibly be but it’s up for now how much ball one do

We have well we got to the 54 there fantastic so I think we definitely should have enough to make all of the specs all hozier I think we’re gonna have to make one of them out of time because they take a lot of inventory

Space so we need an X takes a huh a shovel and a sword like that and then we also need the iron ingots which we have so doing something like that gets is our first one now the system isn’t technically you know fully automated because of the fact that the system only

Works whilst there are bones Maxell hers in the clickers you do have to use the ball on specs on her specifically because if we look at this quest here this very special tool has a ship that will make auto clickers able to use it well with them acquit they can mine

Leaves wood and cobblestone that is the key there because these can break leaves I think me to make a motion on there and they can break wood and they can break cobblestone a couple stud doesn’t matter too much but we do need to be able to break leave somewhat which other tools

Just can’t do so something to bear in mind at the X and then the salt I think it’s all missing here beautiful alright so let’s go ahead and throw all of those into our clickers that’s not the right box Isaac we want to be up here so two

Three and four beautiful and I might end up powering these to make them a lot faster because right now they are very slow working only once every 100 ticks but that’s why we have our new thermoelectric generators up and running to hopefully provide power to the system

Now the way that the quest book recommends that you do this is using phyto go by they recommend crafting up 64 fighter girl and I assume that the log is that you want to automate the production of fighter girl and they just have it constantly be pumped into this

Auto clicker so they can then right click the fighter girl onto the sapling and those trigger the growing of the tree however I don’t really want to have to automate the phytochrome it’s not impossible we do have the sawdust the nice is not too hard to make but the

Slag is a bit of a pain we would if you want to also mate a Foley we have to have like a constant stream of iron being smelted in the blast furnace and we would be limited by how fast the blast furnace can smelt iron into steel

Which I don’t think is particularly fast I think I’m much better way of doing this is a kind of harkening back to something I’ve tried at the beginning of the series and that is utilizing this also clicker here with a watering can so what I’m gonna do chat is I’m gonna

Point this auto clicker down at the floor like this I’m gonna create an infinite water source here and I’m gonna put my watering can into this auto clicker well that should do is it should continually right-click the center block of water the infinite water block pick

Up the water and then use that to actually speed up the growth of this sapling here now it’s not gonna be super fast to start with because the auto clickers are notoriously slow you know when they don’t have power but once we get redstone folks in there it should be

Calm now hopefully quite fast and then once we have that say it’s all right click show it to a sneek and then put the watering can in and so now every so often it should pull the water add a bomb block like it just did there and

It’s gonna use the water in the watering cam to hopefully speed up the growth of this sampling so the idea is the tree is gonna grow once it grows all of these clickers will be enabled and they will begin breaking down all of the leaves in

Wood at between the make up the tree once they’ve broken all of the blocks over the very least once a block broke in the bottom block they will all get turned off again another sample will be planted and the whole system will continue so this is basically the whole

Setup you’ll see right now it’s not working very quickly at all because our sapling is not growing that’s because our water clicker here is not very fast or at all um however we can speed it up with our new tiny compact machine which is holding all of our thermo electric

Generators now hopefully I can kind of just jump up to grab that I can indeed fantastic so let’s go ahead oh I might have to hmm I might have to change this a little bit because I’m right now we have our power tunnel in here is

Currently set to the bottom I want to break this and then I want to right-click a few times here to set this to up like that and then get out before I suffocate and that way the power is going to come out of the top of this as

Opposed to the bottom basically because we don’t wanna pull this up too high we don’t want to build anything too high otherwise we’ll block off areas where the trees can grow right we want to make sure the trees are growing as fast as possible do we have any the last is always a

Question that I’m asking and always a question that I am disappointed to find out the answer to and I actually think we only need a one more glass see if I wanna make more let’s dump fucksticks Oh Mike she don’t need any more okay nice I always think it’s too glass but let’s

Not work til it’s not just the one gosh these are like circuit plates and anodes are also not helping with the old build space issue won’t we have more of those what we can do is we can head back kids here we can do something like this

That’s good we get to power this and then if we set this to like gas b8 you’ll see that grew very quickly right now of course speed 8 is a little unreasonable we’re producing I think about 240 redstone flux per tick in our planning compact machine and tr8 uses

500 RF patek so maybe tier 4 is a better choice here now there is a new problem and that problem is that if the bottom auto clicker breaks the bottom block before the other clickers have broken the other blocks the system breaks because you’ll see now the oak lock was

Broken and we replaced with a sapling and so now all the auto clickers have been turned off and so I think the way that we combat that is essentially just by speeding up all of the other author clickers and making them faster then the bottom block right so I’ll do something

Like this to kind of hook all these guys it with power we are going to need more flux hooks to actually connect that off we could move this but I think it’s talking we don’t have enough that’s ok we can make more but some if we do that

We can hopefully get this to be the last one to break and therefore the system I think should work just fine so now all of these clickers should be filling up with power that’s good these new passively use the 25 hours particular they claim so I think this is all fine

We could Poli now speed this up as well potentially even further as well because if if if this one’s using zero and again we might end up upping that to maybe like one or two let’s say it’s a one for now but these are all using 25s at 75

Hours particularly in those three this guy’s using fifth day says 125 and then this guy’s using three and we do have 240 so we can bump this up even further maybe it’s like tier six here and that should hopefully work now I don’t know how fast it’s gonna be okay it happens

Very quickly right but yeah hopefully I see once again the woods not gone high enough the wood is fine but this brought to faster let’s slow this down again I’m gonna maybe speed these up I don’t know if if 50 hour takes maybe too much and in the final situation chat oh that’s

Right if it works it’s only look at that okay so he was found out new sapling is planted tree grows the other also clickers they get to work they break all the saplings the last one is the bottom one the bottom one is destroyed give it

A second it’s very slow it’s on tier zero right as soon as that ball was destroyed another sapling is planted so long as worse happens in there the watering can is going a bit too fast right now because it’s pulling out power but if we lower it it might grow

Eventually and they should find the tree the tree should grow and the whole cycle should continue so I think chant that this is pretty much good to go I think in an ideal world we maybe have like another tiny compact machine because I think in an ideal world this auto

Clicker here can be set to speed eight and let’s go you know as fast as it needs to go but I think this is pretty much working as intended the final stage of the process is of course setting something up as to actually harvest all of the drops so everything is just on

The floor right now and of course if you’ve watched any of the previous screens you’ll know that much like with this little compact machine over here we can just use the vacuum you later which is a so in the middle from thermal expansion to pick everything up and then

Potentially even just pump it out into here you know we got a lot of cash maybe here and here to collect all of the wood as it’s going out of there and that should be checked and Ultimates it treefon I think I’ll ever look back

With it being here that should never break my idea of putting it here is because I want to put four caches on all four like a sides of this I want to set all these sides here two outputs and I want to put a cache for each item so one

For logs one for apples one for sawdust and one for saplings and then want to send basically everything apart from the saplings through one tunnel into our main room and everything that is a sapling can obviously go back and get pumped down into the altar quicker

Yeah so I’m gonna make for caches here and I believe we should be able to go ahead and craft up for almost four caches so we’re gonna have one here one here one I got killed by myself gaming on caffeine with Slam by a gaming on

Caffeine let’s try not die here I’ve got my stuff back which is always nice but I think these are not on right now only on its off I think I got hit like just at the wrong time there these are only on when this trees are sewed on right now

As soon as this goes away I can I can say if we pass I think I’m gonna move saplings into like the bottom one now makes a lot of sense so let’s quickly grab that last cash there we go let’s try not to the hot guy as we head

It might not be a tell by the actual ad I don’t think this is gonna overflow but what might be a little bit safer is if we instead use our retrieval nodes or aka the retriever instead so instead of like pulling the saplings give a second there selectively give it a second come

On now you waste them out where’s our power what is happening there we go we can place the retriever right there and have this whitelisted – it does need to be whitelist it because that’s the only thing it can retrieve we just turn it on it should go ahead and um poll the

Saplings from the cache it’s clicking the wood cache Oh oh it’s like oh he’s taking wood out of the cache oh I see okay that’s that’s a little awkward it’s silly but it is also a little awkward yeah it’s sucking the wood out of the cache I like picking it out and

I’m getting sucked back up by the vacuum you later let me try speeding this bottom one up someone these are at five so these are going every 10 ticks so these are triggering twice a second whereas this is only triggering once every like three seconds so I think it’ll be fine yeah I

Think making that a little faster should it should help quite a bit now you can put solve it by moving the vacuum layer to the side I like symmetry though I’m contemplating like just putting a block of obsidian in front of the cache left but I also don’t

Think it’s a problem really like it is a bit of polymers go occasionally it’s gonna take a little bit of wood out of that cache but I think now with this at speed one this is actually working quite nicely is this working it is that’s got all the

Saplings beautiful yeah I think this is working pretty well it definitely could be optimized well we might look at that you don’t soon but for now we have 93 locks and all that is working out quite nicely so now chat we need to I guess send those items well ideally now what

We do is we we pump all of the items from these three caches into I guess some kind into a tunnel and then have that tunnel lead out into the main room because if we have all of those coming out else was gonna require some piping

Right look like I have a pipe here we have a tunnel there we’d also have to have a pipe I’ve gave time have a pipe doing something like this but basically just extract out of all three of these and have everything pump out into the real world I guess actually we probably

Don’t even need to do that simply due to the fact that all we’re really interested in is the wood so we can probably do chat is we can probably move this compact machine the tree farm into here so the wood is automatically made the wood

Is the only thing that comes out of the tunnel and their ever we have like a tunnel here or we have like the comment machine here and then we have that word being pumped out into the coke ovens I guess it has to go into a furnace first

To actually smelt it but we can have it go you know into a redstone furnace in here we could put one like up here somewhere have the wood it’s melted at the charcoal and then send it straight through into the into the coke ovens and that could work out quite nicely and

Thankfully this tree farm is all nicely self-contained so we could just pick all of this up like so I do think it’s super cool that you can just pick up like a whole room like that and then just come and like whack it down like this and

It’s still all there just do its thing all right so we have the redstone furnace in here what we can do is we can head on into our tree farm again we can put I think the redstone furnace I guess maybe like oh I think actually maybe

Like here because you can alter input so we’ll turn this off we’ll turn this side to input or turn also input on it should hopefully pull the wood from there it has been that fantastic well then have I guess actually we’ll just have the back

Of this feed the tunnel that goes a help we’ll do that now we will set the output side to north I need to honor I’ve made a great mistake chat I made a grave mistake I need that I think I picked up the redstone furnace there I did okay

Start smelting the oak logs into charcoal charcoal should then gets sent through out into here also so close to death that’s where I should probably go and grab don’t do it again dang it oh no can’t that’s twice in one episode now geez hold on here we go

The charcoal is being made all is good the charcoal should then be been sent out to here so at that point all we really to do is I think something like this I don’t know if that altar pushes out or not I’m a fool I don’t know why I

Put wood in here that’s not how that works if that’s not the case I think we could just push oh it does work nice okay cool that’s working so we have the charcoal automatically coming out into our coke ovens getting turned into coal coke I guess we could also do the same

Thing here where we got like a cache let’s do it so cash and we’ll have a cash for the cold coke and how hard is the I think the retriever requires blaze powder we have any blaze powder we drove nice okay I’m gonna make another make a retriever here or two

Retrievers you make them into which is nice we need one glass and to iron nuggets I know gets nice and easy a glass also fairly easy in the grand scheme of things I do like again oh my hi all my list of things to do is ultimate in the

Production of glass because or do we need it nice and then back in here we can go and put retrieve all no we go but the cash down I guess basically anywhere I think I’ll put it like here that’s fine and then if we do this and this we

Can put the retrieval note down right about there and so that – I guess white list coal coke I don’t think that’s strictly necessary because I can I hope it’s gonna try and pull anything else but for the sake of safety will go ahead and white list coal coke there and say

That – ignored that should then start pulling the coal cook out of these coke ovens I believe and sticking it in the cash it does indeed fantastic and I think Chet we now have automated Pocock because the trees are being automatically made in here it looks like

The water that is still working which is great the vacuum you later might not be able to reach far enough to pick these up I guess we could potentially move this forward by one and how everything how to push out by a item books if that

Is the case but looks like for the most part taking up almost everything there’s just a few roadblocks end up over here and those world walks might in fact be the ones that are being clicked by the click oh well it’s on but for the most

Part I think it’s working just fine we have 171 logs and they’re being made faster than they’re being smelted which is always good and they’re being smelted sent to to here I believe that yeah we’re producing charcoal faster than we can use it in the coke oven so even

Though we could if we wanted so speed up the redstone furnace with something like a hardened upgrade kit and then maybe some augments I don’t think it’s necessary because as you can see you know what getting more charcoal then we need it might be a bad idea to put a server up

Here I know we don’t strictly need it my thought process is that if we do put a server on that we can set it to round-robin like that which I believe hopefully should send like one charcoal here then one charcoal here then one charcoal here then one charcoal here
