LEGO Minecraft 21256: The Frog House Review
O set 21256: The Frog House is the latest addition to the LEGO Minecraft series for 2024. Despite being the most expensive, it doesn’t have the most pieces. Priced at 54.99€ and containing 400 pieces, it will be released on January 1, 2024. The set features 3 minifigures, including a new “skin” for the Swamp Explorer, as well as common villains like a Drowned with a trident and a zombie.
Building the Frog House
The set’s main objective is to construct a house in the shape of a frog, complete with accessories such as a bed, table, workbench, furnace, chest, cake, and honey. The house also includes 3 figures, each in different colors, with a new green color introduced in 2023. The building process, despite consisting of 6 bags, is quick and follows a familiar sequence: laying the foundations, constructing the exterior walls, adding the previously created accessories, and finally, closing it with a removable lid for interior access.
However, the final appearance of the frog house may not be as appealing to some due to the open-mouthed entrance. Some may have preferred a full mouth with a side entrance.
Exterior Features
Outside the frog house, players can cultivate beetroot, wheat, and flowers in a farm, as well as fish in a lake using a dark oak boat with oars. The set is a typical addition to the theme, featuring an animal-shaped house filled with accessories and characters, composed of basic pieces in interesting colors. While the small frogs are adorable, some may find the price surprising, especially when compared to other sets in the series.
Conclusion
For fans of the LEGO Minecraft theme, there may be other sets that offer better value, such as The Turtle Beach House and The Nether Portal Ambush. Despite this, the Frog House set still offers an enjoyable building experience and adds to the imaginative world of LEGO Minecraft.
