method – Minecraft Polyworld – Episode 42 – Swamp Hu(n)t (1.4.7)

Hello everyone and welcome back to more of Minecraft poly world today we’re on 1.4.7 the final 1.4 version and we’re going to be in this one for uh quite a while so buckle up because we have a long journey ahead whoa that took a while

Uh okay all of my settings seem to be good I did actually spend some time yesterday to uh set everything up although Madness is Extremely Loud as usual there is apparently a button underneath there for matmos but I can’t really get to it uh wait unless hold on

As the plan because I want to take a break from fighting with the skeletons in the nether so might as well do this to get it out of the way question is where’s my nether portal that leads to the new chunks as my question I should also take some uh take

A lighter and some obsidian with me to make another photo let’s go and do that I’ve learned my lesson I’m always going to be carrying a portal with me portable photo at all times when I’m traveling because uh the world has gotten so big to the point where actually traveling

There’s a cat next to you nice cats are awesome a big fan of cats my cat is almost never next to me though especially when I’m streaming I don’t uh let him into my room often because he tends to do stuff he’s not supposed to like get

Under the bed and chew on my clothes because I I have one of those beds where it has like two departments underneath it for clothing and that’s what I keep most of my clothes so my cat loves to hide down there and then chew on my clothes so that’s why I don’t

Yes in fact I have more than I need I don’t need a second stack of arrows because I won’t be doing any heavy combat this cat behaves how old is your cat because ours is three years old by this point but he’s a maine and Maine Coons are known to be quite playful

They usually chill out when they when they’re like five years old so I would give him about two more years until he’s fully settled in one years old is it a female because if if it’s a male and it’s one years old that is impressive because cats in general are very playful creatures

Yeah I’m not a big fan of these shaders because like look at my arm it’s like fully lit and now look at the the floor like the ground especially with with the fire over here it looks very jarring because it looks like it’s supposed to be dark

Like it’s raining or something and the fire you would expect the fire to produce light but no this is like fully bright and it just looks wrong to me I really like the god Rays though of these shaders but that’s pretty much it yeah everything’s dark and I don’t know why hopefully the

Someone told me I forgot who who it was but someone told me that uh once I get to 1.6 that’s when shaders are gonna start getting really good so we’re almost at that point and this is still better than no shadows in my opinion I just find it so curse to actually play

Modern Minecraft to about uh about shaders a lot modern but you know release Minecraft hold on uh oh it’s X 462 actually and the Z minus 17. so I should actually be going back um all right let’s let’s head back it’s a good khaki just does stupid

Things yeah I know what that’s like I only play with cheaters once and I was on a copy of the journey interesting I used to not play with shaders because my PC couldn’t handle them but now that my new pc can I’m definitely gonna stick to playing with only shaders

Nether actually looks pretty cool with this shaders other than that that’s a bit too red for my liking but like this cave over here looks pretty pretty sweet with these shaders pretty warm stark contrast to the overload which looks dark as heck the nether actually looks brighter than the other world funny

That makes sense or either aren’t many Shader options for console cat died in 2021 I’m sorry to hear that I hope uh he or she had a long and fulfilling life oh my God the freaking guests I’m gonna need a new bow soon cause I got a category when I was three

There Goes My Water yeah electric cars can be very silent especially Tesla cars like the Tesla cars are the biggest defenders in that regard So Silent that you can’t hear them coming they should add like noise filters or something just to you know for safety sake to alert nearby people and the animals

They’re good for the environment don’t get me wrong but uh they still have a long ways to go until they become a viable alternative to regular cars I also get some glowstone you can never have enough of that especially if it’s so easy to get here

They also explode I’m not I am not familiar with them exploding I know that the cars with like gas that use like old school gas are the ones that explode yes I know I need a swamp Jonas question is chunks new or not I don’t think they are new this looks Vaguely Familiar

But then again all of the beta 1.83 looks familiar because it’s it’s all the same really okay honestly Clear Water it looks even worse like this hold on or not well yeah these shaders are not great not great at all what is this yes okay so we have a jungle there

How can I tell if I’ve already generated these chunks now that that is my question no I I guess I’m just gonna keep going uh this way because uh my Z coordinate is going down I guess that doesn’t really mean anything though because that means that z0 is over there somewhere

I have no idea where home is either because the compass no longer shows me the right path I’m I’m completely lost here I’m not gonna lie because I’m just gonna head off in a random Direction and hope for the best if only um that one program

What was the code again there was that one program which you could use to actually uh look at your world and and what bios and structures generate nearby amidst yeah that’s the one if only a Mist actually worked for me but it doesn’t I would actually

Look up my seed and see where the closest swamp cut is but I I can’t do that I’m afraid at least underwater it looks pretty pretty spectacular actually underwater looks the best with these shaders so I want to clean off it was before it was the worst

The battle is the punch exploding I guess that makes sense it also fit perfectly with the beta biomes I’m gonna have jungles in infinity plus eventually they’re going to be very similar to these jungles slightly altered with the terrain but overall kind of similar okay here’s a swamp

Is this a new Swamp I don’t think this is a new Swamp I got some music fading in same as 1.12 I doubt that didn’t they overhaul the train back in 1.7 Oh look The Glass moves as well and the leaves that’s pretty neat okay I think I’ve actually already been

Here in this swamp as I recognized that there was a a swamp right next to some Extreme Hills and also close to a jungle so I think I’m actually heading back home in this direction yes if I’m to believe the compass I indeed am also there’s new swimming sounds I’m not

Sure if those are from mapmusova or from vanilla foreign to me uh in there for 20 generator probably and now I’m gonna use the 415 generator for the extreme health so like mountains or whatever I’m searching for a swamp cut GD I need to find the swamp cut that’s the

Mostly industrial mods and had some other things as well like some weapon mods and maybe more creatures I don’t remember exactly it’s a very old mod pack especially ticket classic dates back to like beta like the beta days but the version that I played the most was for 1.2.5

It was a lot a lot of fun it was my favorite things too is my favorite mod pack I like it even more than my own mod pack for beta 1.7.3 I haven’t missed much Jonas I am currently in a new Swamp these are bland new chunks and I’m hoping to find this

Uh witch hut I don’t know how rare these things are I hope they aren’t too rare but so far I don’t have much luck by the looks of things but this is a fairly sizable swamp so who knows maybe I’m gonna spot one though it’s only it’s been less than an hour

So if I find one so quickly it’s gonna be a bit underwhelming now this really is a big swamp damn ether is a very good mod ether is probably my favorite mod of all time to this game it’s just so iconic and so well made

Like at the time keep in mind back then there was nothing like The Ether mod at the time it was the first like truly major and uh Innovative mod it was quite a big deal back in the day I’m gonna take a lot of inspiration from it for info Dev Plus

My mouth pack is just peel fixes but it is special because the Homie used it in the video yeah you said that before right I’m still waiting on that guy to make a video for legacy Plus he just doesn’t get it I don’t know what to do there there’s a

Lot you can do in The Ether uh there’s three dungeon tears there’s a bronze silver and gold Dungeons and each dungeon tier has its own unique boss and unique loot what I like to do in the ether is I like to explore as many dungeons as I can and get one of every

Special dungeon item some are actually very powerful so there’s a lot you can do in The Ether I’m hoping that he does make a video on Legacy Plus and maybe some other mods as well he he made a video on BTA which is definitely good because BTA is a fantastic mod

Probably the best right now but other models of recognition as well I would say enter the Western Legacy Plus Lee in-depth is probably not a good idea to promote that mod in its current state no hate on Silver but it’s uh has some serious issues uh NFC kind of the same thing although

Its issues aren’t really performance it’s more just the content in the mod it’s way too bloated and overwhelming and N triple S’s kind of mid I know I say that a lot but it really is there isn’t like a whole lot in that mod to actually want a full video on I feel

Like does he know about it already that’s that’s who you’re shooting Penguins mod I don’t know what you’re talking about didn’t even know there was a penguins mod oh okay I’m still in the swamp I feel like I’m moving around in circles and still no swamp cut how rare are these things geez

I just want to swamp at please whoa there’s a forest fire over there huh let’s see these swamps look really pretty with these shaders I gotta admit okay I don’t know why I still have my F3 menu it’s a known fact that the F3 menu actually slows down your game

Your mod I didn’t even know you had a mod what does it add only penguins and for what version is it it’s playing extremely in-depth sometimes so we’ll see if that goes well oh boy that’s gonna be interesting if I can I would like to see that 1.16 I see

Probably made a data pack for it then I presume foreign probably you didn’t even test it I always test my mods I’ve learned my lesson since Classic Plus because the development of that model is a total disaster so in-depth plus I always run a series of tests before I release every update

To make sure that everything is working as it should be 100 000 blocks for a swamp but geez that that is a lot that is way too much could ask you that YouTuber though for not giving up I’m also not gonna give up I don’t care how long it takes I’m going

To find the swamp wedge even it takes me a week every stream is going to be a exploring stream if I have to if it has to be yeah even if it’s not buggy it does perform very poorly and again the terrain is a complete downgrade in my opinion

The worst part is that the developers primarily silver just refuses to address those issues here we go look at that wow that looks uh kind of weird actually I don’t remember them looking like this how do you even get up there hold on um well there we are I guess uh swamp cut

But might as well fill it up with with Walter okay well that’s cool what do I do now I found it I should have written down the coordinates of my portal actually I was a dumb move on my part now I’m gonna have to make a new one

Oh well uh actually it’s better that I’m gonna that I have to make a new photo because that way I can continue where I left off when I have to explore next time so I guess that’s fine I’m gonna keep the house as it is though

So there we go we now have uh one of every generated structure in the entire in the entire poly world we have the all of the village type structures we have uh the obviously regular dungeons we have strong codes we have mine shafts what else is there

Desert tempos and jungle tempos we have those as well desert well and uh the swampcut is the latest one no witch inside though it is empty I think witches are supposed to spawn but from what I recall there is a bug where they don’t so yeah okay so this is a perfect place

For a portal let’s build it here oh like the house and rebuild it at your place no I’m gonna keep these as where they they generate the whole point of a poly world is to keep it as uh as vanilla as possible not as vanilla as possible but like
