Assignment today we’ll be going over five different biomes of the earth we will start our guide off with the cave guide the content that we are going over our biomes the great level will be seventh grade and the adjectives are in any particular biome the number growth and survival of organisms in population Depend on biotic and abiotic factors all right so this is our cave that is our cave guide he’s gonna explain like what’s all in the cave uh what the students should be doing so in this cave we have some dirt some rocks uh we got wolves in there And then over here you see some lava some waterfalls you know and then we’re gonna go on to our aquatic biome so over here we have fresh water it’s just some cod and then if we keep going and around the corner we’ll make it to the saltwater portion of it So you can already hear the dolphins there’s some sea turtles there’s a dolphin over there there’s a puffer fish there’s some other tropical fish like clown fish so they’ll just be walking through here looking at all the animals and then if we go up here we see our aquatic guide And she just tells the students a little bit more about the different biomes in the water and then we’re gonna go on they’re gonna walk through this corridor and head on over to the arctic biome so this is the arctic biome it there is A lot of snow and ice since that is what it is like in the arctic and there are also a bunch of polar bears in there there is also an arctic guide which will give the students information about the different animals in the arctic so next we will head over to our desert Biome so the desert volume is covered in sandy soil vegetation that lives in the desert bottom are cacti that reserve their own water llamas also are the animals native to the desert biome and then to our right we have a desert guide who gives us more information about the desert biome And then last but not least we are going to head towards our forest which is the largest and most complex terrestrial biome so in there you’ll see some fox and rabbit hopefully they’re not eaten by the fox but um they’ll just explore there and then usually what you’ll see in the Forest will be different types of animals like deer foxes bears bobcats and students will be learning about um how the forest placement is a significant role in the production of oxygen and global intake of co2 which is a big part of our unit so this is the end of our minecraft tour Throughout this activity students would have a worksheet filling in different questions according to what they learned from each guide thanks Video Information

During this lesson, we will be traveling along with the different biomes present in our mine craft build. If we were to use this in a classroom, then we would divide the students into groups of 5. Each group will explore the built biomes. There will be an NPC with an added dialog that explains each biome they are present at. They will listen to the NPCs as they explain the biome and animals present. They will take notes on each biome on the worksheet that is given.
Created by Group 1 3021 1001 Subject: Science Content: Biomes Grade: 7th grade Objectives: 7.LS.2: In any particular biome, the number, growth and survival of organisms and populations depend on biotic and abiotic factors.
This is the different text that the NPCs will say Desert: Deserts cover about one-fifth of Earth’s surface. There are various types of deserts, so each has different types of soil that include sandy, gravelly, or stony. Each year the amount of rainfall it receives is at most 20 inches. Plants in deserts have adapted to conserve water.
Forest: Largest and most complex terrestrial biome. Dominated by trees, plants, and other vegetation. The forest is home to many animals such as Rabbits; Foxes; Deer, bears; Bobcats, and many more animals of all sizes. The forest plays a significant role in the production of oxygen and the global intake of CO2. The forest needs water, air, nutrients, sunlight, and space in order to thrive. Without forests, life on earth would seize.
Arctic: Arctic tundra is a very cold, windy, and treeless biome. It’s snow-covered for much of the year. It’s found in the northern hemisphere, mostly the north pole, and going south to parts of Alaska, Canada, Russia, Greenland, Iceland, and Scandinavia. For most of the year, the tundra is a cold and frozen landscape. Shrubs and mosses are mostly the plants in the arctic. Polar bears are found in the arctic circle and are the largest existent bear species along with the largest land carnivore.
Water: has both freshwater and saltwater biomes. There are different types of fish that are living in the biomes. Sea Turtles, squids, dolphins, cod, and salmon. The water is warm so that the fish are able to survive. Water ecosystems are found all over the world and take up most of the surface on the earth. Water biomes create most of the oxygen that we breathe. Water biomes can be really deep and get colder. In real life, there would be a lot more fish species and other aquatic animals in the biomes.
Cave: There are several different types of caves in the cave biomes. The caves we are going to explore are underwater caves and section caves. Biodiversity in the cave biomes is made up of small organisms. Since there is little to no sunlight, there aren’t many plants.
