Kyouda guys bird here welcome to episode 21 of thaumcraft for add-ons just take a quick look at what’s going on here in the middle is anything looking a little bit different to you anything at all yes we’ve cleaned up the vase relays the v3 laser go on I decided to go ahead and Put them on the underneath of the path here just doing a bit of housekeeping look so we can’t actually see most of these guys because I take my armor off and we are still having a few problems here I still need to work out the stuff here because um these v3 lays across This whole hero like connecting together and I don’t want there to happen because I want the hole through the middle of a basica to be clear so the whole bees are going to have to go around I’m still working it out a little bit this though These relays two seem to be one of the more glitchy things here in the game and not just you know with all of these extra add-ons that we’ve handed just and thorn crumb vanilla phone craft in general I mean having this weird Bullet Seed whatever the egg this is False-color real anus with something going on there and we can see the normal relay stuff just find not sure what’s going on there that but today oh man so we’ve done 20 episodes of this thing and we were doing one mod 1 add-on rather now we’ve added a second add-on And that add-on is automata in Altamonte adds its own tamper kind of took a little bit of a tease at it at the start of yesterday the start of yesterday I mean in the last episode rather for those who are watching chronologically yes so we start off with two things Discovered here in this tab already redstone theory magical technology we took a quick look at that and I kind of got a little bit a little bit of wham boozled by that guy and we’ve also got here discovered ax slivers of magic fragments of fragments let’s just turn Around to increase the frame rates hello piggies they’re still down there it goes sorry alright then so I get some good hit and get started I kind of want to do this one first because the last one actually a massive wall of text incorporated okay dokay you’ve developed A process to break down the various shards of primal magic to even smaller pieces this is helpful when using a whole shard that shouts can be described as being cold wherever would be unnecessary and even wasteful for the task at hand okay unfortunately putting the pieces back Together as and quite as easy it will take significantly more visas to produce a shard than break one down right so you take your standard there’s chance auto chance all that fancy stuff and you I came workbench duster here’s a petal DPO and it breaks down into some slivers Okay so one gets four I see and I take it you take four and give one that is the case just so you need a bit of order dough in the aspect in question and you get yourself back your shelves so that’s kind of cool and you can also oh that’s Kind of cool you take that and get three of those if you take eight of those just try to do the math you take eight of those and a full one so the maths is the same and you’re getting nine so I think this way you actually do get more bang For your buck if you spend eight stone this way let’s see that’s Turtles four four times is 12 and then just the normal way would be nine so that is a yeah so doing it this way getting more arcane stone is actually kind of handy yeah so that’s kind of a cool little Addition by automata right off the bat if you need some arcane stone for one of your builds very nice very nice I can see there’s a whole bunch of stuff here right off the bat oh my gosh oh my gosh there’s a heap of stuff here already holy can walk a moley Look don’t say guacamole that didn’t really work what the heck is that thing that’s awesome alright let’s go ahead and read this massive wall of text magic or technology it’s a wall of text written in theory redstone possesses of many unusual characteristics its ability to transmit signals and form circuits has led many To believe it is a form of mundane technology indeed writs powers the foundation upon which all sorts of technology relies however one who is versed in the arcane arts knows that red stones unique properties are invaluable to all manner of Magic’s potions perhaps being the most well known example for these reasons red Stone is often viewed as a natural bridge between magic and technology and so it is but the formative knows that it is much more at the fundamental level red stone is no mundane material at all even when functioning is part of an elaborate circuit or mechanical device a more careful look reveals since Behaviour can be described only as magical you aim to take full advantage of this wondrous substance into this end you have designed some simple devices to help you better incorporate redstone logic into your everyday thaumaturgy you ascertain that future studies will yield greater and more diverse inventions in Fact this may even be the basis version torture the redstone torches ability to invert a redstone signal is very useful but you cannot help but notice that it Inverts only in a binary manner even the weakest signal that reaches the block the torch is attached to will cause it to turn off and when it’s on this is always a full strength but what if you wanted a truly inverted signal not just From 15 to 0 but from 10 to 5 3 and 12 and so on utilizing basic form a tactical principles you have created a more orderly less all-or-nothing redstone torch Wow you take a redstone torch and a sliver of order and you get yourself a redstone inversion Watch nice what else is the Scott the hourglass up next the redstone hourglass is a simple but versatile device allowing you to regulate the timings of redstone signal transmissions hmm we’re in activated by right-clicking or a redstone signal ah the glass turns and the sand starts to fall Redstone pulse is emitted once the sand has settled if the rear of a redstone comparator is next to the hourglass it will output a signal which increases in strength of the sand falls the hourglass outputs to its left and right sides it accepts activation signals from any other side Right click the hourglass with your wand or a stick to adjust the time is length the timer is quite precise but unfortunately only allows adjustments in 5 second increments and Peaks out at 60 seconds but you know this device is only the foundation upon which you’ll build Better things okay cool so that I guess we have here is like a basic hourglass perhaps we’ll get better our glasses as we move on Wow very cool so the recipe for it is two wooden slabs butter looks bit of any type now we need sand either You normally you rinse sand very nice I am in the Mesa two glass panes and a redstone repeater to get yourself the hourglass oh this is kind of a year redstone device so it puts out a signal a redstone pulse is emitted once the sand is settled rawrr okay suppose admitted once the Sand is settled so you right-click it to put the sand out the top at which point he reads no signal stop I think so that’s what it seems to say right here anyway so kind of kind of interesting we’re gonna have to go ahead and miss Around with there once we get some more of these redstone devices out of the way so there is pretty much the basics to get us going here with all Tommy gee there are a few other things here that we can also get right off the bat we Have slivers for travel when one’s far enough that kind of looks like the OL are paving stone travel and then we have these letters warding oh okay I take it you can make these things with these slippers now kind of cool very interesting addition minister we have we have the red crystal Definitely magic definitely definitely we also have in Tripucka refining turning it up to 11 all right and we also have glowing amber encased needs water all that sounds really fun I’ll go ahead and get their next and fishing and Chapman’s fishy infusion ooh so we get that’s a participant as well Yeah I really want to get this one actually set that sounds kind of like does something that I actually need at the moment for a little bit of a building I’ve got going so that’s just a bit visible for to Luke’s feeling cheap go ahead and get that data hasn’t Unlocked anything as far as I can tell and it says encasing a neat order and amber allows for a simple light source all right so you take glowing amber oh that’s what that’s what you get and you take four pieces of amber and meet order as well as some feel the cheap Aspects that’s kind of cool I think much rather now just a little second here and we also get your glowing ember bricks by making these four things okay and bricks but if they’re amber bricks in this game it’s a okay so it’s pretty much the same except the embers On the corners here hold the phone hold the phone are you trying to tell me that there are and the bricks in this game I do have a decent amount of anderstorp doesn’t buy now by the way from all the money that we’re doing down there So far you let’s get some amber out and right so that turns into an Amber block like they’re buff I took for that oh my gosh and the bricks is this a vanilla recipe there are amber bricks of this game nobody told me this okay how do they Just a little bit of the base goes I’m not too sure if a bricks mind blown I actually just wanna quickly grab some neat ordered as well a test this one now this I think this is gonna be a fairly fun one let’s see oh we don’t have the v3 lays over here Sarah this thing is not going to be able to charge up we’re gonna need to take four of these students will go ahead and make a piece of glowing ember and sure why not we’ll go ahead you can’t need to scan that well yeah we’ll go ahead and scan that as well Scan Stan rule number one a thorn graft and get ourselves glowing amber oh my gosh where is my scans Stannah Tron there it is so let’s give these two down let’s see what’s in the Sun well I guess we can send that while we’re at it as well Amber brick Winkle uman wheat reals dwelling amber Wow a lot of stuff in there and the same can be said for that as well that’s a lot of stuff so I guess what this is gonna do is it’s gonna have like neat order inside I thought it Would have like a neat order in fact in there I think I can see it I’m not sure it just gives a flight I think is all it really does like is that neat hark I can see the neat or Thor and everyone I thought that was inside of it no ok I Thought you’d be able to see neat or it in the slider but apparently not yeah I’m doing some changes here I’ve got the switching out the blocks here on the I came bellows to something a little bit more nice and doing neat or on top of it So and maybe something like this one will be too useful holy crap there is a block in this game that I never knew existed couldn’t reminds me of the Yolo triple me treats got Sarno and then we’re just kind of fun but there you go there is the that’s to get us started Here with automata you got some new buildings stuff there’s a whole lot of automation but it looks like it’s sort of throwing a building stuff at us for the beginning here we’ll just go ahead and I will through how basic amber back in there and we’re gonna have to do Something else with this stuff can you turn this back and I okay you can leave yeah turn that back so that’s fairly cool and these dudes you probably can’t turn them back they are once once you go there you can’t go back not sure I was trying to Do the and Oh neat order throw that back beer alright so well that’s that’s one thing out of the way for this episode getting started here with Ultima G our short guy will go ahead and get the red crystal Nexus sounds like it’s gonna go off in all guards of crazy directions Get ourselves a upgraded hourglass probably or we’re gonna need scrubbing tool some paper for that low so let’s go ahead and rush over here and get it out scrapping tools and paper pick up that research no very cyan color this time kinda reminds me a pole tent here a bit There again this is a fairly simple one port India we trails and pray you can’t RTO right now let’s get started but it’s so that player can talk to actually connects to port into your bed so we’re gonna have to use walk what’s right there and then we’ve got we trails least with more tools yeah that’s a good plan and then I’m thinking a nice over here As well I connect those guys up and then Luke’s so a fairly simple one very cool definitely magic red crystal what does this got to say for our holy crap I also learned about amplified red crystal apparently in dim red crystal oh my gosh and tense red crystals is there anything Else I learned about game no that is it holy cow there’s something hidden over there looks cool we also got a risk to this hungry more greedy jazzed greed is good now chemical boy oh my gosh and the one focus of crafting and that’s the thing That I was talking about in the last episode they had the key conflict advanced no jarring oh man I want to learn about that this would actually be really nice because we need to get onto node bullying fairly soon and yeah definitely need to get some bright notes I know we’re a couple of bright nodes are in the world but we’ve got a couple of things here to read about first so let’s go ahead and check those guys out you’ve discovered that some materials once crystallized a certain way become more susceptible to magical control the new crystalline Structures can then be rearranged and in some cases instructions can be imprinted upon them this discovery came to you during your experiments on redstone powder the resulting redstone crystal or red crystal can be oriented more easily in a chosen direction it can be placed on any side of a blog very cool Right-click on a section of red crystal with your wand to add or remove the connection to its neighbors right so you take one piece of redstone and one-way trails and you get one red request or hooker one for one for one for world sweetness is there anything else here we Go in addition to passing its signal to other red crystal and adjacent blocks it will also pass a signal around corners when the two red crystal clusters aren’t directly touching so long as both of them are attached to the same block and there is an empty space in the adjoining Area right so in and it’s got the picture right there to sort of say to you hey man that’s gonna work and is that gonna work – I think I might that’s pretty sweet it was pretty dang sweet actually I actually might need something like that For the sort of the new piston build over here I didn’t actually show it did I it’s it’s fairly basic as know we’ve just got like double inversion no this is one that’s like double inverted and in this one isn’t just like an same power of it if that can not go upside Down if it can go upside down that it actually even more useful because then I could remember that right there you know well let’s actually just finish off this episode by trying that out actually we need a bit of where redstone and a weak trill so let’s go ahead and say go let’s Take 32 we’re probably gonna want a decent amount of this stuff 32 is good and my wheat reuse jars are right here let’s just grab the bottom one yep there we go let’s bring that over to the sky the format aureum and we should just need to bonk that in There and that wants to make red crystal so let’s go for it that should work fairly quickly as well because that’s actually on the one that’s right next to it’s some weird lining issues right here on you might have noticed as we came in here as well Folks that I have put an alchemical furnace back in here which allows me to stock our essentia system back up with essential stuff or when another update that I did to this thing as well as I put some filtered tubes in on top of these these jars right here as well Which is particularly useful when you’re dealing with things like empty jars right here which have an untyped suction the typed and untyped suctions work in sort of slightly different ways if you’ve been playing with on craft for a decent amount of time you probably know what I’m talking about but just type in The suction like this should hopefully speed the system up but that should be all the red crystals out of the way now as well we’ve got 32 of those dudes it’s kind of a bit of a bland to texture right there they sort of definitely look interesting in the hand they’re kind of 3d looking actually and they look like to come in out of the thermidorian picture there is well what’s up with the lighting on the stood in a sense about this chest and lighting around here has been a little bit strange of things it’s gotta be something to do with this guy Probably more than anything else anyway we’ve got some red crystal right here just overlooking the fact we’ve got this whole new redstone mechanic mechanism Gilmour ghoul device okay throw that on the ground it’s a kind of a tiny little thing I guess I need a couple of levers As well to have a look at what’s going on here I have a few redstone lamps to demonstrate what this is well very cool let’s just quickly try this and see what happens so if I put that there and I put that there okay and that lights up That’s very cool and apparently it said that wasn’t your wand that you can use to get rid of the stuff rearranged and printed upon them re-entered right click on a section with your wand to add or remove connections okay so you take your wand I say okay so I’ve got these tiny Little crystals on the outside of the big guy and I guess yeah okay so it needs to have these little modules like enabled that’s really really cool I don’t have a second one do I but I think that’s just quickly demo like this so let’s say let’s see if we turn that Off and I would go tune these two opposites kind of reminds me of the essentia tubes actually kind of cool but yeah so you can pretty much to put two redstone lines directly next to each other that is pretty sweet can you actually just use a basic redstone as Well let’s get some of that as well I just want to see if I can put redstone next to and red next to this red crystal a buddy’s to that name did I scan some of this I didn’t scan it so we’ll just quickly Do that as well I just want to see if I can put that here right yeah there’s gonna connect like rats haha oh no okay that’s not getting power because yeah that’s not getting power that makes sense I see so they do kind of integrate with each other I see I see And that has to kind of delay there and that won’t get juice I can actually input right there I think if you just said a basic redstone no yeah okay that world breakfast of us just yeah that won’t power the block right there so again it’s actually another really nice Thing red crystals pretty damn good for making your things a little bit smaller and that’s all here and all Tommy G predicts weeds let’s just quickly finish off the episode by going ahead in following rule number one alarm graph that we didn’t really follow right there Cuz reasons now let’s see it adds a little bit of wheat Reyes but otherwise that keeps the aspects normally with the flown craft you actually lose an aspect or two it’s it’s you don’t need you don’t profit well you’re not profiting here there used to be a loop in the game where you Could um I gain aspects by making a lemon tomb but they just reminded me of it well I think that’s a pretty good spot to end this first episode here of form craft for add-ons with automata installed we got some really neat new stuff off the bat a whole percent with our Redstone we actually have a whole lot of these other
