Hey everyone welcome back to the channel hope you’re all doing well out there it’s time for another roundup of psvl news so let’s get cracking okay so first up i had planned to give a mention to the upcoming minecraft live event happening on the 3rd of october As i figured if there was going to be any announcement about the much rumored minecraft psvr update then that would be the place they would do it well they only went and announced it yesterday didn’t they that’s right it’s no longer a rumor but it’s now solid fact that minecraft Psvr really is a thing and even better the psvr update is due out for free later this month so no need to wait until october for possible news instead we’ll actually be playing it in vr before the end of september from what we’ve heard so far it’s going to be dualshock 4 controlled With no move support likely at launch at least however as a lot of people have pointed out if the mining aspect was done via the move controllers then you’d soon get pretty tired arms so it seems to make sense that it will be using the dualshock 4 at least initially I have to say they may provide move support further down the line they haven’t outright said it’s not supporting move yet it’s just a bit of an assumption but even if they were to implement move controls in the future it still seems likely it would rely on some kind of Button press for certain actions like mining they say it’s the full minecraft experience so it’s not a cut down mode or anything like that it’s 100 full fat minecraft uh it’s also mentioned that there are two ways to play the game in vr with what they’re calling immersive mode or living room mode The living room mode puts you in kind of a virtual living room environment where you’re playing minecraft on a virtual tv and the immersive mode is obviously when you’re fully immersed inside the world of minecraft you’re playing it from a fully first person perspective there’s no exact date as yet It’s just later this month but we will keep you posted and be bringing you some gameplay as soon as we get our hands on it now that minecraft announcement came out via the official playstation blog and shortly before they announced it they also published another blog post which mentioned that playstation are Having a spotlight on psvr this week so they’re going to be having new reveals and updates on upcoming games of which minecraft was the first they’ll be releasing new updates each day around 3 pm uk time so we’ll see what else is revealed throughout the week they’ll also be kicking off another psvr Promotion on the playstation store with discounts on certain vr titles Although releases have been a bit quiet since vader immortal dropped there are a couple of other big titles due to release later this month the first of these is the previously delayed budget cuts which should see a release on september the 25th budget cuts is a stealth game developed By neat corporation where the aim is to escape from an office building whilst being constantly pursued by robotic enemies and was well received on the pc so hopefully it should be a good one if they’ve managed a decent conversion now the game was originally due out in May and it was then delayed to july and then subsequently pushed back again to september so hopefully all being well this will be the final release date and it will be out later this month assuming all goes well with this release date we’ll bring you our first impressions nearer the time The other big release for this month is of course walking dead onslaught from servios now personally i’m a big walking dead fan and i really enjoyed saints and sinners which set the bar pretty high for walking dead games and psvr games in general [Applause] it looks like servios have really Stepped up to the challenge with onslaught and it looks better and better with each new trailer and the gameplay footage that we’ve seen of course saints and sinners were set more around the comic book universe whereas onslaught is based more around the tv series with characters from that world So it’d be interesting to see how it compares saints and sinners made great use of physics and user interactions and was really tactile so hopefully onslaught can match up in that respect the walking dead onslaught is due out on september the 29th and again we look forward to bringing you our first Impressions upon release another release we’re expecting at some point in september is traffic jams now while not quite as big in scope as the other games this looks like it could be a fun little diversion with a unique premise you’re tasked with directing traffic an increasingly busy crossroads with a lot Of distractions along the way and a nice range of cartoony style characters and visuals the game also includes some couch co-op gameplay where the people outside of the vr headset can use their mobile devices to send traffic hurtling along the roads couch cult games can be really good fun In psvr so it’d be great to see how much they’ve implemented there again no specific release date for that but it’s due out later in september finally a couple of announcements to keep an eye out for the decidedly stabby looking swordsman vr released a cinematic style trailer last week And have suggested they’ll also be releasing a new gameplay trailer this week the physics based sword combat we’ve seen so far looks promising in this game we look forward to seeing more of it soon there’s also been some teasing from free lives the developers of the always entertaining gladiator simulator gone Now on twitter they posted an image from gorn showing a bunch of vr headset wearing spectators and a cryptic ish message saying they’d be making an announcement soon guesses for what this might be include a spectator mode where you’d be able to watch other people playing Or some kind of lobby type system for queuing up for multiplayer online matches some people just suggesting it might be the release of an oculus quest version we’ll let you know as soon as we have any confirmed details okay that’s it for this news roundup thanks as always for tuning in If you found this useful
