Hello everyone this is mumbo here welcome back and today we’re going to be doing something just a little bit silly we’re going to be taking a look at a bunch of micro elevator designs now i don’t know about you guys but i get in this situation far too often i’ve got an Elevated area of my base that isn’t quite tall enough to merit a full-blown elevator but it’s not quite small enough to allow me to just hop up there now i know what you’re thinking you could just build a staircase that’s a pretty good solution to the problem but here’s the Issue occasionally staircases don’t fit in those sorts of areas and more importantly i’m a redstone guy and i like to solve my problems using redstone so what i thought i’d do is show you a bunch of redstone contraptions that will push up the player maybe four or five Blocks so that you can reach that area in style so let’s take a closer look this first design i actually feel a little bit guilty about it technically isn’t an elevator it is in fact a playable launcher but here’s the thing it is so good at what it does i just Felt the need to include it so this is the only designer inside this video that is going to be using slime blocks the rest of them use old-fashioned redstone but as i say this is a very simple mechanism that launches the player five blocks up into the sky all you have to Do is walk over this pressure plate and as you can see we get bounced upwards we land on the top and that definitely solves our little problem to build it is of course extremely simple all you need to do is track down a sticky piston on this block here with A slime block on his face then redstone on either side just like that repeaters it said two four ticks running across into these blocks on either end like that with a piece of redstone dust next to that piston then these blocks up at the top here are Going to be your input so chuck down some pressure plates on there and then surrounding your slime block you actually need to place it in movable objects because otherwise the slime block will grab the blocks and pull them back down which weren’t particularly good but anyway if you just stand on the Pressure plate you can see the slime block launches you upwards and you’ve got yourself a pretty sweet design one quick thing that i want to mention is if you do want a few different designs for slime block launchers for example ones that shoot you higher ones that are Completely hidden away so that you can’t see the slime blocks or removable objects then i’ll put a link to those down in the description but anyway moving on to the next contraption this design is one of the simplest ones i’m going to be showing you in today’s video But sadly it doesn’t push you up particularly high in fact it only pushes you up a measly three blocks but anyway if we just stand on top of this piston hit this button you can see we get extended upwards so then we are on top of the platform and the way that it Works is actually really quite cool this button here is what is powering this piston so that it extends above the ground and allows us to reach the platform which i think is quite nice despite the fact that this design doesn’t push you very far as i mentioned Earlier it’s very easy to build in fact you can see it on the screen right now in all of his glory that’s all you need to know it is one block wide that is all of the mechanics you can see the button off to the left that can be wooden or Stone i prefer to use a wooden button because that gives a longer pulse all it does is it makes the piston extend powering the redstone which powers the bottom piston which pushes at this piston here upwards which is then of course powered by that button there so That’s how all of that works it’s very nice and easy to build this final design it is considerably more complicated than the other two but it is definitely the fanciest it pushes you up by four blocks and most importantly doesn’t have any exposed redstone immovable object or Anything like that however it does use a sand or gravel block for you to stand on so anyway we just hop on here hit this button you will see we get pushed upwards nice and quickly so we’re on top of the platform and everything gets retracted down back into the ground very Nice so to build this thing you want to get things started with a 4×3 area the first thing that we’re going to be doing is chucking down our pistons you want to place two sticky pistons then a regular piston on top then a block of sand and some smooth sandstone or whatever blocks You’re using i just happen to like the look of sandstone then you want to go one two three four to create your four high wall just like that next up you just want to place a button on this block here then grab a regular piston place it Facing across like that and then a sticky piston facing downwards with a redstone block on his face to create the activation circuits to wire all of this up first off you just want to place a block next to that piston and then a block down like this with a repeater set To two ticks obviously that will be powered by the redstone block then you want to place a block here redstone dust on the top and redstone up running down into that piston then a repeater set it to four ticks running into a block next to this piston right here so that is Your abba gate down on the bottom your pulse extender that will keep this bottom piston extended now all we have to do is the falling edge monostable circuits that involves placing redstone dust right there then you want to place a repeater set it to three ticks running Into a sticky piston facing upwards with a block on top to create the falling edge monostable circuit and you want to chuck a repeater down like this a block up like that and then you want to place a block here with redstone dust on top Just like that and as you can see if we hit this button we got ourselves the triple extension and also the entire attraction so there we have it ladies and gents that rounds up today’s video on micro elevators one quick thing that i just want to finish on is that if any Of you guys have developments on the designs that i featured in today’s video then i would love to hear of them for example you could recreate this design that you see in front of you but instead of using sand it uses solid blocks or perhaps you’ve made it extend even Further than the ones that i featured here whatever happens would love to hear your feedback but anyway that is all i’ve got time for today ladies and gents i hope you enjoyed this video if you did please sure hit that like button and if you really loved it then make sure to Subscribe but thanks for watching guys this has been mumbo and i’m out i’ll see you later You Video Information
