It is a totem smash kind of day welcome everyone to a brand new update for Minecraft Bedrock Edition this is the version 1.20 70/71 I will explain why in today’s video this is a full release and it’s rolling out right now for Minecraft on iOS Android Windows Xbox switch and Playstation the change log says a new update for Minecraft is available now bringing veral changes fixes and experimental features but please note some platforms may see this update as version 1.2.7 meanwhile others might see it as version 1.2. 71 although displayed differently they are fully compatible with each other and multiplayer so I’m On Windows and it is displaying 1.2.7 let me know what version you’re on and what the update says moving on to vanilla parity wolves can now withstand the same amount of damage as in Java Edition we have a bug report wolf armor doesn’t protect wolves from Creeper Explosion damage and here is a prime example of this so the first bit of game play you’re about to see is displayed on Minecraft Java edition if they light this creeper and it EXP explodes the wolves are completely fine on Bedrock Edition prior to this update they would Just die so I can confirm if you grab yourself some flint and a creeper and some wolves that do have the armor on and we light this you’ll see here that the Wolves can withstand the explosion and there’s a reason for it they said rather than having all damage dealt to Tamed wolves by entities other than players or arrows as currently done in Java Edition the maximum health of tamed wolves has been increased from 20 to 40 now listen up for people who already have tamed wolves in their world pre-existing tamed wolves will need to be fed to reach the new maximum health Now what’s going to happen in your current worlds is when you do have a wolf as you guys know if your wolf is injured the tail is going to be down now if you feed it it goes up slightly everyone on Bedrock Edition all of you Guys right now if you load up your world in the new update your wolves taals will be down you need to feed them in order to buff them to their new strength they said to ensure the healing rate remains consistent the health restored by feeding wolves has been doubled Java Edition will be adjusted to match the new Bedrock Edition implementation and this is probably coming in I believe the 1. 120.5 updates experimental features make sure if you’re checking these out to turn these on and if you’re doing this in your favorite worlds make sure you Back them up first so in terms of experiments we have the villager trading rebalance it’s been there for quite some time we have update 1.21 and armadillo and wolf armor the wind charge is now available when you turn on experiment become the breeze using a wind charge Will fire off a wind charge projectile similar to the breezes a wi charge fired by a player will grant 10% more knockback than a breezes just like the projectile fired by the breeze wind charges fired by the player also deal damage if they hit an entity directly The breeze drops between four and six wind charges when killed and no looting does not increase your chances of getting more wind charges have a Max stack size of 64 there is half a second cool down after each use wind charges can be fired from a dispenser just like this and Obviously when it hits an entity then as you guys know it will knock you back it also says players that launch themselves with a wind charge only accumulates full damage below the Y level of where they collided with the wind burst so if we kill one of these again looting is not Amplified I manag to get myself six which is the highest amount that you’re able to get now of course these guys are located inside of the trial chamber wait that that time that time I got seven is that actually a thing is that actually a thing how many can you get between four And six dude I just I swear I just got seven then maybe looting does increase the chances in this version yeah I got seven so that will probably change cuz I don’t think that’s meant to currently happen so they stack up to 64 you can hit entities with these to kind of make Them go in the sky you can also what I call Rocket Jump now in Minecraft which is really really crazy there is a cool down between each one so you cannot spam it but you can scale buildings so you can see if I was there we go I took Damage there if I land down there I can take damage but if I go up here I should be fine but if we go this way we should take damage because again this is the Y level that I landed on but you can go upwards with no problem at all they have Introduced the bogged this is a new variant of skeletons that shoot poisonous arrows they are faster to take down with 16 Health instead of 20 they attack at a slow interval of 3.5 seconds instead of 2 seconds has a chance to drop arrows of poison when killed by Players these Mossy and mushroom covered skeletons spawn naturally in swamps and mangrove swamps can also be found from trial spawners in some trial Chambers so here is what it looks like you can’t currently Shear these in the next update they will have brown and and red mushrooms on them when you kill these They can drop regular arrows as well as the poison tipped ones there you go perfect example right there they are incredibly deadly and let me show you the structure if you find them in a trial chamber if you find a trial spawner with a red mushroom podil and Bone blocks around it it will spawn the new bogged so we got a game mode survival here you will notice how many actually spawn now this can be incredibly deadly I still think the AI is a little bit messed up because they just start attacking and shooting each Other but trust me a whole bunch of these together can be incredibly deadly also available via experiments is the new Vault block found throughout trial Chambers containing the structures most valuable loot the loot is currently a placeholder vaults in trial Chambers require a trial key to be unlocked can Be unlocked by an unlimited amount of players now developers are currently still working on the texture of this it looks a mess on top so this will see a few more iterations if you’re holding a key you can kind of see particles go towards it in order for it to be opened Now you John Jeff Bob down the road can open this once and that is it this is a server related feature so if you’ve had your server running for like I don’t know 10 years and you find one of these somebody could join tomorrow and still open it there’s a high possibility that We might see more of these introduced in the future changes with Wolves the colors of tamed wolves have been increased in size making them visible not only from the front but also from other angles so if we just grab a couple of dyes here and we just tame a couple Of these we’ll you down and oh he’s okay we’ll just use you guys for example you can see the collar is a little bit more bigger and bulkier and that is because when the wolf was throwing wolf armor you couldn’t actually see the colors properly so they went ahead and made This a little bit better for players to see moving on to features and changes performance and stability fixed a bug that could cause the loading screen to get stuck for time around 40% we have a bug report so so here is the report right here been an issue in quite a few Versions I’ve experienced it myself and you can see here Minecraft would get stuck here it wouldn’t crash it wouldn’t close it would just be stuck here for a very long time anyone who had those issues go and check now and let me know in the comments section if they fixed it Fixed an issue where the game could soft lock while displaying the loading resource packs model fixed an issue that could cause the game to freak when changing languages on some platforms moving on to game play upward player motion will now reset fall distance allowing Rip Tide Trident to Break a fall this is a good change we have a BG report so this has been requested for a very very long time and you’ll see here what this player is going to do is they are going to fall down obviously you take damage right nearly died now this is currently on Minecraft Java Edition however when they fall next if they manage to look up in time and activates Riptide you’ll see here that the damage you take after that should be greatly reduced so this person’s healed thems they’re going to fall now and then they’re going to use Their Riptide going up this is basically to reduce the damage you take kind of a very similar way to how the wind charge works this was non-existent on Bedrock Edition as of today it is this is a lot harder than you think obviously if I’m to like use this Again I shouldn’t actually take as much damage as I previously should so this shouldn’t damage me as much as it should dropping from there would normally leave me at half a heart good news players can now Bridge blocks over water we have a bug report can’t continuously place Blocks while jumping when above water this has been a big issue for Bedrock Edition you can see here you just end up in water today they fixed it fixed Skylight not being updated properly when big gaps of air were present between the ceiling and the floor fixed a bug that Could sometimes prevent the stronghold portal room from being generated we have a longtime bug report this goes back to version 1.0.0 this is one of the oldest bugs I’ve ever reported and showed you guys is strongholds sometimes don’t generate with end portal I think we all discovered this in the older versions of Minecraft Bedrock Edition as of today your strongholds should always have a portal room fixed players not unlocking the beginning trophy on PlayStation for defeating a Wither even if they were close enough to the Wither mobs when fed baby mobs now emit both sound and particles all sounds emitted by Phantoms Are now audible even when the player is facing away we do have a bug report and this issue was also a problem with wardens apparently today it’s been fixed another longtime reported bug Phantom flapping sounds don’t work properly so basically if you are looking at a Phantom you can hear the flapping but as soon as you turn around the audio completely disappeared now this was the exact same for wardens you can see here it’s still flapping but the audio disappeared moving on to block fixes double slabs can once again be created when stacking two of the same slabs Together we have a bug report three 1.16 wooden slabs do not stack and you can see here when they were being placed there would be a gap I can confirm today if you had those issues in your older worlds it should now be fixed Sweet Berry bush sapling Now slows down players when walked through so if you try and walk through these even in Creative you’re going to be much slower cave Vines without glowberries no longer drop a glow Berry when silk touched so if we grab ourselves this/ game mode s and we try and harvest This you can see here no glow Berry is dropped blue and black candle cakes Now display and drop the correct type of candle so if you were to eat this or eat this it would drop just the regular basic candle now when you eat it it now drops the correct color patternless Banners taken from creative mode inventory will no longer reset when first placed sad news tall flowers are no longer affected by Fortune we have a bug report who be reporting these old school bugs Fortune works on tall flowers when aiming at the bottom half of the tall flower so if you silk Touched it you could end up with multiple sorry not silk touch Fortune you could Fortune this previously and get multiple of this flower you can’t do that anymore but also large ferns now have a chance of dropping wheat seeds apparently there you go we got a first Time I wonder if Fortune would enhance your chances with this but yeah that’s been added tweaked The Loot drop distributions for for Enchantment of melons redstone ore glow stone and Nether wart to better match Java Edition and I think you get more bang for your book if you Fortune these you actually Get more fixed a bug that made it so players could not Place multiple items while moving such as uh boats or fireworks we have a bug report so here is the report and here is the video and when this player does this and moves it does it in the same spot I used To have this issue quite a while ago apparently it was still an issue with fireworks and boats as a result of this fix we’ve had to revert the fix for slabs and stairs being placed inconsistently while continuously building we’ll work to reintroduce a fix for this in an upcoming updates let me Just read the book reports this is important so Minecraft and mojan did reintroduce a bug that they fixed and this was the issue so for players that would build in fast Motions like this as you guys know your slabs and stairs would glitch out that’s going to happen Again in this version Realms fixes and block sounds so here is the changes I’m referring to if you do have a realm these two changes have been introduced and in terms of sounds it says here all of these blocks now play the appropriate sounds and there’s a lot of them and Also some fixes once again for Realms item fixes updated Globe pattern on Shields to match Java Edition we have a bug report here is the report they did a comparison between Java and Bedrock Edition Java looks so much cleaner and Slicker compared to bedrock Edition The Shield just looked like a broken blob You can see the design there looks a lot better and on top of a shield it looks looks even better than before in Realms attempting destruction of one sea turtle egg on a stack of more than one in Creative modes no longer destroys two at once we have a bug report so yeah Apparently if you were to destroy a seed tal egg in creative on a realm it would actually break multiple at once instead of breaking one at a time spawn eggs are now called mob spawn egg instead of spawns mob so that players can more easily search for them in creative mode Inventory so if I was to type in creeper it says creeper spawn egg aha okay let’s go to uh phantom for example Phantom you can see here Phantom spawn egg just makes things much easier end portal frame has been moved to Nature category in the creative inventory touch control Players players can no longer customize touch controls while on the death screen graphical added 4K resolution support for Xbox series consoles so that’s X and S and a lot of you guys have been asking me about this change so if you do play regularly on Xbox x or S let me know if 4K res supports is finally here Android players listen carefully this is to do with storage settings storage location will switch to external automatically on Fresh installs if storage permission is granted via app settings prior to launching the game on devices running Android 12 or older certain files and directories will be generated in External storage on next launch when setting storage location to external via in-game settings on devices running Android 12 or older I’m not an Android User so let me know in the comment section if this is affecting you user interface fixes fixed chat messages initially rendering below the screen After sending them the updated death screen is now enabled by default even when resource packs are applied to the world if we go all the way up here/ game mode s and I die uh ironically enough though I am using a resource pack but this looks like the old died screen so Jokes aside I think this does get properly fixed in the next update and was slightly bugged in this version it does say updated the design of the reports a friend warning model and the reports limit warning model fixed a bug that caused cleared text to reappear in The inventory search bar we have a bug report resetting search bar doesn’t save After exiting creative inventory and I can confirm this is still an issue today and if you played close attention it actually happened before when I was searching in Creative so this person’s typed in stone they’re going to go ahead And type in Cobble Stone for example they’re going to exit out as you guys know a Bedrock Edition it shouldn’t actually save it currently does fixed text to speech narration for main panel text and realm feed button on realm slots screen technical updates let’s read the change log addon users make Sure you’re updating the templates to the version 1.20 .70 General changes commands add-on scripts blocks and so much more apparently this is quite an important players for add-on and map makers this version does not have
