How can you make your world more detailed more better more amazing well with invisible item frames that’s how so here we are inside of minecraft you guys know item frames you throw them onto a wall or something you put something into them you can rotate it all around

But they’ve been around for a while you can put even them in the same block which is pretty rare that you have something that you can actually put into a block that already has a thing inside of that block you could even sort of stack them on top of each other they

Kind of go behind stuff so like this torch although it’s not actually in the item frame is on the item frame and you can put something in the item frame item frames are super awesome and if you didn’t know all about item frames well now you do in the newest snapshots the development

You and now i have two because i already had one but that command can be used to give yourself an item frame at the moment this is a java only command because java is the one that has the invisible out of frames i haven’t seen this on bedrock yet although a lot of

Things are coming to both java and bedrock so in the future you may be able to get this if you’re on like a nintendo switch xbox or any of the bedrock versions so let’s go explore this world and find some inspiration wherever it may be oh oh this tree oh oh

You can throw down some sticks make sure they’re kind of all in different directions otherwise they’ll start to look too much the same but also gonna be an apple tree and maybe it is dropping the apples the apples don’t far fall far fall far from the tree why is that so

Hard to say you could put apple way out here and people would say uh that is not realistic apples do not fall that far from the tree that is a cringe joke and i know it okay moving on down this pathway whoa pebbles on the ground this inspiration comes from bat

Tom 06 on reddit and this uses basically the same thing as item frames on the ground and in this we are using blocks that would represent some type of pebble add some definition to your pathways along with all the variety of actual blocks on the ground that’s nice

But also the item frames will add some a little a little bit a little pizzazz you know i’m i’m looking at this i’m like oh man i might stub my toe on these on these rocks on this pathway it’s not very smooth and and nice but i think that this is just

Great over here in these grass pathways you could also add some type of dirt or you could add some type of jungle log like this jungle log looks a little bit like the texture of dirt so you could add in some of that or you could even add some logs so that it

Would represent sort of like sticks and stuff that’s still inside of these pathways let’s head more into the village now and whoa whoa what is going on in that house i can’t see in it’s like they’ve drawn the curtains or something that is suspicious we’ll have to check

That out in a moment but look at these torches too here we are using lecterns as a way to sort of anchor the torch onto the wall these are the best way to anchor torches on a wall this is from sm bro on reddit and i think that this is nice because

Normally torches that’s unnatural like what is that what is there a nail in there that i can’t see what’s going on so this will add sort of a a reason some type of motivation to actually keep it attached to the wall a bracket to keep that torch there which

Is really nice you can also maybe you’re going for a different style use an anvil instead and all you have to do whenever you do this technique is you you can kind of see the hitbox how it changes from the block and then it disappears if

It’s on the invisible item frame so just make sure you’re clicking the face on the block and then bam now you have the torch there or in the opposite direction you can go ahead and just put the torch down then stick the item frame onto the block

And then put whatever you want into the item frame right there so maybe you’re going for a more industrial look and then you can use an anvil instead and you could even flip it upside down for whatever reason you liked the way that that model looks a little better okay

Enough about these torches you’ll see them throughout the rest of this map let’s go and check out this super suspicious house why is there wait a second well now i can see out did did they pull the blinds back ever since wait huh what okay now i can see out

Okay well this is uh this is something i didn’t expect also look at those torches anchored to the wall so gorgeous this is sort of a one-way mirror type of situation where people cannot see in but you can see out of this window which is really really cool i have another

Example of this right here get out of here horse we’re trying to record this wall and so you can see that you have a completely black screen and then on the other side it is completely see-through which is just really really really cool so obviously this is using

Invisible item frames if we get a normal item frame you can see what happens here so we’re going to stick a normal item frame we’re going to come around to the side and this is just a map that is completely black completely black map we

Can put one there we can also put one right there and you can see that the item frame fills up the entire block whenever you do that that’s what maps do that’s how you can kind of have connecting maps it makes it really really cool but the invisible item frames not only

Don’t have that texture but for some reason they put the texture right on the block which is super convenient and then on the other side if it wasn’t invisible it would look like a super duper weird stretched out item frame look at the difference there you got that out of frame

Stretched item frame it looks it looks weird it looks just super weird so using invisible item frames we can pull off this really really cool technique of a solid color and then invisible on the other side now how do you get a map that is fully just one color there’s a few

Different techniques that you could do if you have a ton of blocks at your disposal you can create a map see where it is and just fill that map in you know just a big area just with a solid layer of blocks and then it would

All be one color also in the past this is a fantastic tool the nc map item tool where you upload your own image so you could even try to fake a texture if you wanted to like cobblestone or something like that and upload that and then

You’ll just replace the map file that it gives you with the one that is in your safe if you’re playing on a multiplayer server and you don’t have access to the world save well then you probably just need to build this actually in your

World and just fill up a big area and of course you can also just always use like the fill command if you if you if you’re lazy like us you know like you know just like use the fill command to make a big old blank map or you can use a real map

I mean you know you could just more power to you if you just want to you know throw an actual map on onto the the thing like boop oh i just i broke that oh man that was bad actual map there we go bam so you could do that it’s still see-through if

That’s what you want to do and you have like a secret window that people think is just a map room this map looks funky what is wrong with this world the map invisible wall thing was inspired by alien 51 and i did not trap this cat here this cat was spawned into this

Village this way and i don’t know why it has not decided just to jump a single block to get out but it’s been here the entire time i’ve been setting up this uh world for recording inside of this house we have a nice little dinner table set up with a

Come over this crafting table and craft up a sword as it is just lying here on the table it’s very very cool and if you get bored of that you can head over to this enchanting table and then actually enchant it with a sword isn’t this cool i love all the different

Ways that you can add invisible item frames and just make stuff look so epic this this is how enchanting should be these are inspired by tragic hero and hanger them this is i just i just don’t think it’s so fun i i like i’m almost like okay

There’s a bookshelf right there we could actually maybe add a book grab a book maybe a book and quill oh i just realized can these be added to signs oh look it’s my bookshelf with the little book it looks like a new texture way the heck up there that is so cool

These are my this is my enchanted bookstore hang it signs will cover this up see look i put a sign right there it’s completely covered darn it sign why are you so thick this is still pretty cool i it kind of works as like a like a hey

You know this is what this place is it’s a bookstore a very classic thing to do with item frames was to sort of make a nest using a coral fan this block that it’s sitting on is waterlogged so that that doesn’t die and then you have your item frame underneath with the egg

Inside of the item frame to make it look very much like a bird’s nest what’s interesting is when you try to recreate this with an invisible item frame so first we’re going to water log that block so it has water coming out of it then we’re going to take our item frame

This time it’s an invisible item frame and then stick an egg in it and then you take your crawl fan stick it on top what what what is going on we’re just gonna stick an item frame here you can actually see that the egg is like

Taller in the one with the actual item frame instead of the invisible item frame than the one with the invisible item frame so you leave all that extra space so there are some classic things you used to do with item frames which are no longer possible and then i assume that

There are new things that are possible with the smaller thinner item frames which is pretty cool and there you have it a whole bunch of inspiration and techniques for you to use with these new invisible item frames i find this so neat i love all the details so you can

Pull off with item frames sort of reimagining what blocks are and what they look like and what they can be used for in a crazy way like rethink the models and the textures and put them next to something else so now they look like something completely different i love
