Hi everyone and welcome to another how to build tutorial. In this video, the content creator Spudetti will show you how to build a large overgrown survival tower using lots of the new 1.17 blocks. The tower is designed to include everything you’d need for a survival base, but feel free to make changes or add anything you’d like.
The floorplan for the tower is 7 blocks long on all sides with one block in each corner. To start, 4 blocks with a stair on top are placed on the first block at the front. Moss blocks are used for the first few blocks with mossy cobblestone or mossy stone bricks above to create an overgrown look. A mix of these blocks is used for more texture, but the moss blocks are kept at the bottom.
On the next block, a moss block is added, followed by 6 blocks with mossy cobblestone or mossy stone bricks as you go further up. Window spaces are created by adding upside-down stairs in the gaps on either side. A doorway is created in the middle, and oak logs and spruce slabs are added to the front wall. Iron bars are added to the window spaces, and a spruce fence, trapdoor, lantern, and door are added to the doorway to finish the wall off.
The same wall design is repeated on the remaining sides of the tower. The next layer of walls is added by coming inside the tower and adding temporary blocks behind the stairs, next to the oak logs, and then adding stripped spruce logs on top. Sideways facing stairs and blocks are added on top of the logs to complete this layer.
Crafting and Smelting Room
The tower’s first floor is dedicated to a crafting and smelting room. The content creator uses moss blocks, mossy cobblestone, and mossy stone bricks to create an overgrown and natural look for the room. The room is equipped with crafting tables, furnaces, and chests for storage.
Storage Room
The second floor of the tower is a storage room. The content creator uses the same overgrown design for the walls and adds barrels, chests, and item frames for storage and organization.
Bedroom
The third floor of the tower is a bedroom. The content creator uses a cozy and natural design for the room, complete with a bed, end tables, and lighting.
Enchanting Room
The fourth and final floor of the tower is an enchanting room. The content creator uses enchanting tables, bookshelves, and lighting to create a mystical and magical atmosphere in the room.
