Hello welcome to my minecraft tutorial this is episode number 12 in my how to survive and thrive series and in this episode we are going to complete our cozy cottage project that we had started in the last episode but were unable to complete due to time constraints and as You can see here I don’t have a roof and I’m feeling a little exposed so let’s rectify that over to the work area and let me show you something I’ve had a few comments about the cobble choice for this home and as well as the birch now the birch I had to choose Because there is no dark wood typically the original build for the cozy cottage calls for darker wood here you can use whatever you want if you want to use that light brown material use light brown if you don’t mind the birch then use the birch I happen to like the birch So I’m going to stick with that and as far as a cobble goes well it’s readily available and I have a soft spot in spot in my heart for cobble because we go way back before the time of smooth stone and brick and stone brick and I’m going to Show you some of the additional options that you have just so that I mention them and as you can see here if you drop some cobblestone in your furnace and cook it up with some coal or other fuel you will get smooth stone it’s a 1 for 1 Ratio so mainly it’s just a matter of time and using up your fuel so if you have the time and additional fuel go ahead and make some and you may recognize this little guy right here it’s just the gray stone that you will find naturally in Minecraft like right There in a hill in caves and so forth but oddly enough when you mine this stuff you get cobble so if you want to have smooth stone or a different option for building if you don’t like the look of the cobble feel free to make this smooth stone and there’s one other thing You can make with the smooth stone as well and I’m going to show you how to do that right now now I am going to need the smooth stone to make half um half block slabs but if you take four pieces of smooth stone you will get stone bricks And let’s take a look at how the stone brick looks now this is not really new to Minecraft but back in the day when cozy cottage was originally designed there was no there was no stone brick so and that’s why this is originally calls for cobble anyway so there you have it That’s the stone brick if you want to take the time to cook up stone and make that and use it in its place then that’s certainly is your prerogative now what we need is half stone slabs and I’m going to show you how to make those Right across like so and that’ll give us a nice light gray stone slab we’re going to put those up on the top of the roof which we better get building right away because we’re running out of time I’m going to collect a little bit more Cobble so as you can see there’s lots of different options and there’s even a red brick that we’re going to make we’re going to use the clay that we had discovered and I’ll show you how to cook that up and make bricks and red brick And you can build at those as well so you have a lot of different options and as far as the wood goes you just have to go out into the forest and look for the other variety of dark wood so we have plenty of lighter wood available to us Oh hi I thought I heard some footsteps I like okay this is single-player I’m all alone let me just deal with this clown and huh yeah oh I almost bought the farm alright so much for creeper creeping creepers gonna creep people getting hungry too all right so let’s see we Have 46 cobble that ought to do the trick let’s see I’m going to need 12 of these think so that should do the trick yes 12 and we will need one more fence so we need some sticks I need four pieces and I’m going to make Another shovel too it’s the one tool I am currently lacking I don’t need that and while we’re building the roof let some I’ll wait I’ve got clay here done yes I do let’s make the clay turn the clay into bricks and I’ll show you another option For building we’re going to have to wait for that that’s we need four regular bricks to make a stone a red brick that you can build with and it will go back and check on that so right now we’re going to make our front stoop here our Our overhang and this is just my scaffolding so I can get up high and I do this so twelve temporary so I can hop up here and get up to the rooftop and do my work so bare with me now to do okay so here we go let’s wait them a little famished Smack my fish against the door and then I’m going to eat it a little flavor extra flavor their door flavor so take your fence and just plop it down right here piece on either side and make it double high and then we’re going to go over here to the scaffolding and excuse Me fishy but you are wooden stairs in your hand and just put one right on top of that it will glide over here and put one on this side as well then in the center X I do not need you for the time being grab some planks and just fill in That Center and then on the top of this you want to go stare there and a stare there and it looks a little pica schnell its pica Sh so there we have our front overhang and now let’s finish up this roof before it gets dark cause I already sense the Sun is falling It’s my minecraft survivor sense and I think I’m done with that so let’s get the cobble once again if you have the time go ahead and make smooth stone I bet it would look fantastic with smooth stone or even that stone brick as I showed you and I’m going to make some Renovations to this home it’s it is the small house but it’s cozy as I have said and I will probably build off to the side eventually and make some additional rooms and even a second floor but for now the idea is to get a house built as Soon as possible and again it is our first home I remember my first real home let me tell you it was about the same size all right let’s throw in the ceiling and that’s just going to be regular old wooden planks there we go so it’s all fully enclosed let’s go back To our stairs we’re going to put a stair here stair there skip to skip to the loo and then fill those up with regular old blocks okay I think we have everything we need now to complete this project so let’s find out I hope I made everything So now we’re going to put some cobble like that do that on both sides voila take your new lease melted half block slabs and let’s just cap these right off stand back and take a gander Wow so lovely now using the same material the stone brick as well as the As regular red brick which we haven’t made yet but I’ll show you momentarily you can also make half slabs and stairs with those materials as well so you can have stone stairs you know brick stairs etc oh we’re not done hold on I was ready to punch out but I’ve got a little More work to do okay stairs here here here there are and over thar same as in the back now we should have enough do believe we do now as you’ll see excuse me see every now and then one just wants to be a pest we’re going to have a little Bit of space here in our attic so we have a little attic being built and eventually like I said I may make renovations I may expand this home eventually and put a second floor up here and maybe like a little bit I’ll have a little loft with a bed but for Now we just want to get a house made and get in it because we have other priorities building up our home and putting equity into it is not a priority trust me surviving that’s the priority okay now we can get rid of our scaffolding I believe we are done with the roof and Just any time now we shall step back and look at our handiwork oh hey wait oh I thought that was a wolf darn I really would like a pet it’s gonna go show you how to capture a wolf alright now I’m going to just put some torches up here and oh Dear oh my gosh animal snorting at me caves beneath me okay so there we have enough light around us now quickly let’s check out our brick okay that’s I’m going to take this inside I’m going to put those bricks in my hand and I’m going to give you one last choice Building material for bricks equal bricks so we have regular clay bricks you can’t build with these they’re only used to make these guys and you can use you can turn these bricks whoops these bricks into half brick slabs or you can fill all this up and make stairs and we will we Will definitely get to that Shh in the future but I’m gonna take the stuff indoors now and get out of here this doesn’t matter what you take it with it doesn’t matter what do we have here oh I’m gonna have to come back for that Oh gosh okay sheep sneaking up on me I’m gonna head inside I’ll come back for that chest um we need some light in here don’t we and I’ll have to fix that I will not hear the end of it if I don’t go to that so I’m going to put my workbench down Here and make a few more torches and light up the interior we will decorate in here eventually but again one thing at a time so let’s light her up that’ll do for now and before we complete this project we want to go underground back to our basement make sure there’s nothing in There before you go down because we left this rather dark we should light that up so we don’t get a basement surprise you ever see the Evil Dead oh gosh yeah and I will make a hatch to get down there in a future episode I’ll show you How to make a hatch and a ladder and we’ll go down there and we’ll be using that area for storage okay let me get rid of those hello we will need a perimeter fence around this to keep the bad guys out you don’t want to walk out To a a mob waiting for you but there we go so cozy cottage is complete for the time being and will decorate inside and we’ll make a little okay I have a peeping sheep here great ah this may not be the best location huh you want to come in All right come on in come on I could use a friend tea and crumpets now this is your last chance to have any wheat I will actually eventually catch you so Jarrett you goodbye nosy nosy neighbors stuck a face right through the door hello alright I think we’re done here a roof Is complete and I’m happy safe and dry and now no longer expose so I think we’re done I’ll see you guys next time oh okay maybe I should have picked a different location all right I’m gonna go see you next time uh bye bye Video Information
