A fashionably late space hippie it’s complicated anywho’s on my dudes season 8 is in full swing as you can probably tell and i’ve spent the last few days with doc hanging out and playing minecraft on the new server here in our shared base area and we’ve managed to make some pretty decent progress

So far grinding our way through some of the early game necessities like stocking up on food iron and diamonds and setting up this giant-tastic but highly effective storage room in a hole and on a side note doc did a great job organizing and labeling all of the chests in here one

Evening which makes me feel like we’ve chosen the perfect base buddy for season eight nice one doc so what’s the overall plan for season eight then i hear you guys asking well it’s pretty simple us hermits have decided to live on a relatively small continent and it seems

Many of the hermits are basing together in small groups all over the island this season i mean that’s about as much as i know i’m going to be honest with you considering how badly things were explained by our beautiful mumbo jumbo during the first few minutes of us jumping on the server um

Oh wait so this is it this is it this is it again so you guys i’ve clearly obviously very obviously been put up to this um uh and because everyone thought it would be much funnier to have me bumble through it without really knowing what i’m talking about and that’s definitely

To ensure both doc and my brains are properly fed for whatever shenanigans are sure to come in this season but we’ll get to that chicken build a bit later for now i’m just chilling here at my rv that doc helped me build this week and enjoying a bit of lovely down time

After the insanity that occurred in tattoo ren at the end of season 7. although i’ve not just been catching a much needed tan and sipping on some pina coladas so far in season eight my friends oh no i’ve been on the server bright and early every single morning

This week attending to many grindy tasks including such delights as herding hordes of derpy animals playing tag with grumpy creepers dogs sitting for fellow gorgeous hermits planting crops to feed derpy animals late night caving with my buddy doc dying while trying to cure the infected burning to death in the fires of the

Nether angrily destroying ghasts for revenge in the nether boating and swimming with dolphins convincing a parrot to be doc and eyes official base pet trading useless items with hermits how about a villager head Um i actually i actually strangely enough need that oh perfect joining sleepy unsuspecting villagers joining dragon bones from the nether and enchanting some sweet gear oh and of course during all of that our base buddy doc helped me build this wondrous rv to live in as our first base

And that’s pretty snazzy i freaking love the thing man all in all a pretty successful start to the season i’d say okay this is where i came to find the goats uh green’s online though so can you see him oh yeah yeah oh actually oh there he is

Basically we dug a perimeter around a chunk all the way down to bedrock because that’s how doc interpreted that weird code that was in the book that we found in the pirate ship he’s still trying to work out what it’s all about but yeah we spent the entire

Evening digging we’ve got a ton of resources and a very janky looking perimeter hole uh you got to go watch doc’s episode to see what i’m talking about but guys i’d like to get cracking on our own project for season 8 which is going to be a pretty simple chicken farm

To help keep doc and i fed while we do all of this work around here now the idea for this chicken farm is pretty simple what we’re gonna do is plonk around 15 chickens or so on four hopper chains feeding a central dispenser that is basically going to trigger each

Time an egg laid by one of the chickens passes into it the dispenser is then going to launch the egg into the sky and when the egg lands it will have a chance to spawn a chicken and yes we could have just made a super simple chicken lava blade farm that’s been done

A gazillion times before but i think this design is far more fun and at least gives the chickens a lovely life on this well chicken island before doc and i arrived with fire aspect swords to stock up on some tasty roast chicken dinners so yeah there’s quite a bit of

Work to do to get this infinite chicken farm up and running my dudes so tell you what i’m gonna get myself a cup of coffee get down to the grind this morning baby and get this farm pushed out so that doc and i can have infinite chicken dinners for the start

And guys i logged on to the server this morning and i realized whoops i haven’t really taken a moment to show you guys the starter base that we’re going to be living in in this season so i think i’m going to try pull myself away from the a poultry machine it’s working

Beautifully as you can see there’s chickens all over the show doc and i should be fed pretty well the parrot’s looking after the chickens so everything is good uh let’s talk about the starter base it is of course an rv we’ve seen this rv before of course during many many

Seasons i love the design and it’s you know it’s your bog standard rv really i mean look it’s got a hyperdrive attached to it yes it’s got wings sure it’s not exactly your run-of-the-mill grand pond grandma rv but it is of rv and we love it don’t we

Kitchen area here too we can cook some sweet jazz wash our hands watch out wash our cutlery and whatnot we got a fridge over here which apparently opens the door which uh you know i mean look but dudes some rvs come with problems okay this one’s got some technical difficulties

Some good technical glitches this is supposed to be a fridge we got some stuff in here well i mean we’ve got some white dye in here uh yeah not even edible so not entirely sure where that came from but it’s a fridge it’s supposed to have food in it okay

It’s not supposed to have white dye of course over here we’ve got our beautiful bedroom where we spend the nights when the the sun goes down here in season eight we got a record player over here we’ve got a chest with uh well a whole bunch of

Nonsense in it and probably my favorite room in the rv is the bathroom it’s the toilet where we come and do our business we come and get ready every morning you know to do a bit of recording on the server we do our business we wash our hands

All of this to create a hopper that is not working anymore and you get kicked when you click on it that can’t be it man so basically what happened was you read the book you made a broken hopper somehow and this jank base that’s what came out of that book doc seriously

Yeah that’s what i accomplished in three days of work okay well i guess we’re missing one piece of the recipe which is a server restart so maybe we should just contact the zuma and ask him to just join the server just restart it for us real quick see what happens
