silentwisperer – Mojang Added INFINITE ARMOR TYPES To Minecraft 1.20! Minecraft Snapshot 23W05A & Beta 1.19.70.21

Mojang’s been busy they released a brand new beta for Minecraft Bedrock Edition today and a new snapshot for Java Edition for the 1.20 update this time they’ve added basically infinite types of armor to Minecraft with the ability to put armor trim onto a leather armor and of course this includes dyed leather

Armor so there’s basically infinite combinations of armor available just with leather and the dyes so that’s what Diamond looks like on leather netherright on leather and netherright on plain leather armors if you didn’t see last week’s Snapshot video on Armor trimming you should probably go watch

That because there is a lot of depth to this mechanic assuming that you’re all caught up there’s been a couple of nice changes to the armor trimming so for example you can now put the same kind of material onto the armor so if you have diamond armor you can put Diamond trim

On it and that applies to all types of armors we got iron on chain mail iron on iron gold on gold diamond a diamond and now the right on netherrite this change absolutely makes sense even Bell it does look a little bit weird in some situations I think that this was

Probably introduced because of an issue with the previous snapshot so if you had another right trim on a diamond chest plate you could then upgrade that to another right and then you would have netherrite trim on another right chest plate so I think they decided just like

You know what ELO let’s just make it so you can put the same trim on the same type of armor if you feel like it because why not right so the snapshot really only changed a couple of different things with the actual trim feature itself the big one being of

Course the leather armor and that essentially adding infinite different combinations to the game because you got essentially infinite different colors of leather armor itself and then you combine that with the 11 different trim patterns and the 10 different types of material and then you just got like mini infinites it’s bigger infinity now

That’s right there’s different sizes of infinity Mojang has also changed the enchantment once again and basically getting rid of it entirely I mean it is so subtle now this is a fully Enchanted set of armor next to an on Enchanted set of armor and Enchanted a light strut

Next to an unenchanted elytra and you can like hardly tell that it’s got a glint on it at all it is so subtle now if you go into your settings and go to accessibility settings there’s actually a new one for glitch strength and you can turn that all the way down to zero

And then it just completely turns it off so I think if it’s set at 100 it should be like it was you know two snapshots ago where it was actually like visible even if it’s at a hundred percent it’s still barely visible I want my stuff to

Be shiny like I want to be like blinging out here you got to put on sunglasses if you want to look at me while we’re on the topic of armor trim so why not add a lytra trims to the game because like you know why not I do think that they want

To keep the capes as uh as unique as elytra as you can get it but armor trims before the elytro would still be a very nice feature and also you can put the carved pumpkin on your head I want to put netherrite trim on a carved pumpkin

And there’s no reason Mojang should be able to stop me we can already put it on the turtle helmet itself like why not come on Mojang what are you waiting for over here I mean you can already enchant the carve pumpkin with uh cursive binding and I believe curse of Vanishing

As well so there’s no reason that we should not be able to put this thing into a smithing table and like get ourselves some netherrite on it we’ve also gotten a little bit of parody today so now if you have an elytra or a chess

Play or other piece of armor on your hot bar you’ll be able to right click that and automatically equip it this is something that’s been missing from java Edition but this was on Legacy console edition and a Bedrock so now you can hot swap your armor which is actually

Incredibly incredibly useful in so many different situations and it saves you a lot of time from opening your inventory and actually manually placing it there so as you can see now you can quick equip all types of armor and that’s super handy there’s been a variety of changes to the smithing templates for

The armor patterns so the century Dune coast and wild armor are now gonna be a lot more common so when you find these and the Pilger Outpost desert temple shipwreck or jungle temple you are guaranteed to get two of them instead of just one a lot of people had some not

Great feedback on the netherright upgrades that you find in the Bastion remnants but these things have now been made twice as common so getting another right armor isn’t gonna be as difficult as it was in the previous snapshot you will still need to find these in a

Bastion but now they’re going to be twice as common as those bastions and of course keep in mind once you find a single one of any of these templates you can make a copies of them in a crafting table all you need is the seven diamonds

And a block of choice and then bam you can easily copy those and it gives you an actual use for diamonds now so you don’t need to hunt down like a thousand bastions in your world to get some of these netherrite upgrades you only need

To find one and then you can go home and make infinite of them strongholds have had their loot chests upgraded for the eye template so whenever you find a library the chest in here is guaranteed to have one of these eye templates that way even on the most unlucky of

Minecraft worlds you’re still gonna get one of these and you’re actually probably gonna get like two or four per stronghold because this chest also has one as well and yep the other Library also has a couple of these templates as well so it’s gonna be pretty easy to get

A full set of these from the stronghold you’re also much much more likely to Now find the Vex armor template in a woodland mansion and basically all of the armor trams have been made a lot more common across the entire Minecraft world there’s been a very nice change to

The effect command so now you can put infinite duration as an option along with you know setting the amplifier and if it has particles or not so now we have literally infinite night vision if we open up the inventory it literally just says infinity and this will never

Wear out unless you use like a bucket of milk or get rid of it with other commands or you know die I really hope that this comes to bedrock Edition because this would be so so handy and moving over to the newest Bedrock beta 119 70 21 I found a bug literally like

Fixed so anyway there was kind of a fun bug where if you had a dragon head or a piglet head in your inventory and there happened to be a powered one on screen that was moving the ones in your inventory would actually be moving as

Well which is kind of fun I I personally like that there’s a small bug fix to the crouching and you can now place the top slabs and when there’s an entity that’s slightly blocking the slab placement I noticed this in the last beta but you couldn’t place a slab right here

Previously but now you can I wonder if this is gonna have any unintended consequences because being able to place blocks inside of entities might might cause some problems I guess we’ll find out though if fix the bug where they build lament message would get displayed even if you were just like accessing a

Chest at the top of the world like previously if we were opening this from above World limit it would actually say World limit is 320 blocks and now they didn’t fix it where it’s still just completely spams your screen as you can see uh that’s that’s a lot of messages

For just trying to place one block there’s been another nice bug fixed to the 1.5 block tall sneaking mechanics so now if you are sneaking in this Gap and you’re not holding the sneak button you can actually interact with all of these standard blocks that you would be able

To previously this was a little bit broken and you had to be holding the snake button to interact with any of this stuff Pikmin will no longer spawn in the nether if it’s brighter than a light level of 11 and I’m not sure if this is necessarily in a parody with a

Java Edition because I know on Java you could spam down torches literally everywhere and Pikmin would still spawn at least as of a couple updates ago I don’t know if it changed on Java Edition at some point either way this is now feature on Bedrock so you need to have
