Are you starting a new Minecraft world? Or do you need inspiration for your next project? Well today I’m taking you through 20 plus Minecraft build ideas, so let’s get into it. First of all let’s get cozy and comfy in this valley cottage. I wanted to go with a calming palette for this Build, and some of my favourite features include the bay windows, where I used both glass panes and full glass blocks, to help round out the window. The leafy vines spreading their way all over the build, to really bring home that rural feel, and of course the roof, where I used mangrove roots, Backed by dark oak planks, to give a thatch style to it. For the garden I wanted to focus on lots of foliage, with raised flower beds, ramshackle walls, a calming pond and gazebo. Overall I’m incredibly happy with this build. If you want to keep with the cozy vibes, but go a Little more fantasy, then this Mushroom House could be ideal. For this house I really wanted to bring in a touch of whimsy. So it features a variety of mushrooms of different sizes, shapes, and colours. The stoutest mushroom acts as the main entrance, on this raised platform, leading Up to the pink and cyan towers. While the large red mushroom, to the side, acts as an anchor to the build. And I’m very fond of the small windows and weird balcony area that helps you traverse up The build. It was great fun working with organic shapes, and a lot of colour. But keeping with those organic vibes; you could conquer the jungle with this mighty custom tree and treehouse. So I went with this rather mystical looking tree using primarily Spruce Wood and then a mix of Jungle and Mangrove wood to add to the texture of the tree. This is all topped off with a variety of leaf types. I find this helps to provide a bit of definition to a tree canopy, rather than all the Leaves merging into some kind of blob. Then we have a very basic t-shaped house primarily using materials from the jungle itself. This build is surrounded on all sides by a supported balcony. So you can enjoy the wide range of views and the shade from the tree. Sticking with the fantasy Route I’ve got the perfect Elven house for you. I find that Elven builds are often represented with quartz, supported by strong colours. However, that’s not the route I wanted to take. I wanted to stick to a much calmer nature-based palette, with some added pops of colour From the complementary oranges and cyan. One of my favourite features of this build is the windmill, which I’ve curled the sails of, which I think adds to the fantasy vibe. Then of course you also have the large crane to help with the movement of raw materials. Probably a task better left for the Dwarves, but the word mine is literally in the game’s name. Sticking with the fantasy vibes, but increasing the grandeur. Let’s become our own Saruman with this epic Wizards Tower. We’re gonna be going very tall with this build. Starting with a wide squatter base, Made primarily of tuff and mossy cobblestone, with dark oak woods shaped around the outside to add some detailing. We’re going to continue a gradient up to the very peak of the tower, while breaking it up with pops of colour from Crimson, leaves and bamboo. To support the main tower I’m adding three Different White Towers, which again is a gradient from diorite, through calcite, into white wool. We’re also going to add a canopy for an extra bit of colour and finishing off that colour theme I’m gonna add both an orange and a cyan Tower high up on this build. Helping to improve the shape of The build overall, whilst also adding some focus points. The tower is complemented by an enchanted forest, featuring some colourful custom spruce trees. Now if you have enjoyed the video so far make sure to hit that like button and by the end of the video let me know what your favourite build Is in the comments. Next up we have a lighthouse on its own custom island. Which I think adds some cool terrain like this tunnel under the build itself. The island is adorned by a large weeping willow and custom spruce trees while the build itself was a fun opportunity to play with shapes And add some interesting detailing options. If the lighthouse was slightly larger we could easily fit in a rotating redstone lamp display, but for now I enjoy the scale of the build. Sticking with the seaside vibes but upgrading the fun. You could have your very own Minecraft beach house. Well I certainly went uber colourful with this one, but I think that makes sense for a nice Beach getaway, plus generally the colours pop nicely against the water of the ocean. The build provides plenty of Options for viewing out across the sea. And on the beach I did some very basic terrain and added some custom palm trees, and a fun campfire party area, with a huge slab of food ready to be roasted. From down at sea level let’s move up into the mountains with this Lantern inspired hanging Mountain House. This build was actually my starter house on a server prior to getting into content creation. It has since been updated with this use of cherry wood and a little bit of bamboo. I was also inspired by a Mythical Sausage video surrounding a hanging Mountain House. I added A lot more suspension and went with a very different vibe as far as the house itself. Overall a very fun build to see peaking out of the distance high up in the air. Now we could stick with the mountains but take things in a slightly different route. Let’s say an Industrial route with this steampunk Factory. For this build I wanted to go for a mix between an oil well and a steampunk Factory. There is a reliance on the copper piping and water steam vats that you Might see in steampunk but the copper and andesite machinery gives off a distinctive pump vibe to me. Before being brought back around to the steampunk aesthetic with the huge chimneys at the top of the Build. This could be used as a base, but was also primarily designed as a trading hall for the likes of armorers, weaponsmiths Etc Or it could even be used for a furnace array. Plenty of options. Sticking with the steampunk vibes how about we launch ourselves into the sky itself with A steampunk airship. There are a lot of things I’m fond about in this build; the palette, the cogs, the whimsical chimney, the almost helicarrier-esque fans and of course the huge hot air balloon. But the best thing about getting a general shape down for a build like this is you Could take it into a variety of directions such as this cherry and crimson Airship, with a fairly unique sail, which I used as a nice starter base on the Channel 64 SMP season 3. By The way that is an ongoing series still in its infancy so if you fancy checking it out I will be putting a link at the end of the video. Before we head completely back down to earth let’s visit one more mountain and this lovely Observatory. Although cold colours, in a cold environment, Can certainly work well together I think bringing a bit of a warmth to these mountains is a great idea. It helps to stand out the build as a real landmark in an otherwise desolate environment. Also you’re not going to need to worry about the likes of the city drowning out all the stars in a mountain such as this. But be careful while spending time at the observatory. You may come into contact with an extra terrestrial being, and experience a UFO landing. UFOs are often depicted as sleek and slender grey blobs in the night sky. I prefer to think in reality that they would be audacious, over the top, and kind of glamorous, while retaining that standard sci-fi grittiness. One of my favourite aspects of this build is that I got to channel My inner Final Fantasy nerd and reference the rings around Balamb Garden when it flies. Plus considering how spacious the build is it could be a hub for any experiments you wish to perform, or maybe just some Redstone gizmos. I guess. So that’s some of the weirder stuff but how About some options as far as the standard houses go. Let’s head back to the Tudor period with the Stable Masters house and barn. Amongst the rolling hills of wheat, vegetables and flowers, you can find this Tudor house. Overall it’s a fairly basic house but that is sometimes what you need is a Jumping off point. Plus using Spruce slabs and stairs, in interesting ways, plus a lovely leafy trellis can add some much needed detail to a build of this nature. You can also make this build feel more situated in the land with additional builds such as this Silo and horses stables. On the Other hand with the barn I went very monochromatic and heavy on depth and detail. This is more posh than your average barn of course. Plus the barn comes with its own pair of silos, which could be perfect for hiding away storage, while adding a bit of contrast to the rest of the build. Now are you ready to move out of the Medieval Age and into something modern with this cliffside house. It seems in recent years modern houses have started to move more into the realm of adding colour and wood materials to the otherwise slightly lifeless concrete. So I took big advantage of that as well as adding foliage and of course it can’t be a modern build without huge windows and a swimming pool. In my opinion the key with these builds is a variety Of shapes, depth and height to make the build more interesting overall. Okay with modern out the way let’s head to the East and the great country of Japan and try out some more traditional building. Japanese building, especially in Minecraft tends, to lean towards the more traditional builds and I Wanted to honour that whilst adding my own spin on it. The heavy emphasis on a variety of rooves and the colours red, orange, and green, which are often seen in these types of builds, are all here. I’ve also added a nice balcony area and an emblem of a dragon made out of bamboo. It’s always fun to play around with trap doors slabs and stairs and see what shapes you can create. This build Would look even better with some trees, maybe a bridge, or a pond and a tea room. Maybe this is something you could take on yourself. We’ve really injected some colour into the build and let’s keep along that vibe with the Bavarian inspired house. Bavaria is a region of Germany and from all my Research typically has houses with exposed beams, colour and a lot of flora. So I’ve done my very best to replicate that here. Bavarian is actually one of my favourite styles to build in. Often people can feel trapped in one style of building but I highly encourage trying out a variety of Styles, like in this video, to increase your range of skills. While also it’s circumventing boredom. By the way if you are enjoying this video make sure to subscribe. My channel has a heavy emphasis of Minecraft building and on channel 64 we have a lot of Storytelling. So if you enjoy that kind of Thing I hope to see you around more. A lot of these builds have been surrounded by a lot of greenery so how about we bring a touch of that to this Desert Oasis house. Desert builds often seem To have a very muted palette. Considering a lot of it is based on ancient Egyptian architecture it is worth considering the use of colour as this is something they seem to rely on. In an environment like the desert these aspects of colour really make the build stand out. And when you combine it With the Desert Oasis foreground the builds can be an event in a biome such as this. Also make sure to consider the use of a variety of height and shape to the build to make up for the flat Rooves and provide a lot of opportunity for shade. Now this has been a great journey but we’ve yet to face the perils of the nether. So let’s take a look at this grungy cyberpunk style house. I have to admit this is my first ever time working in a cyberpunk style. I highly enjoyed this build and think it works particularly well in the nether. It’s always fun to take the opportunity to Use blocks that you are less familiar with such as Basalt, red nether bricks and frog lights to make unique builds. The ominous glow this build gives off seems to work really well in this environment, and it’s certainly a build style I’m going to approach more in the future. Okay we’ve come to The final build of the episode. So let’s end with a bang and the second biggest build of the episode with a huge Viking longhouse. In my opinion asymmetry can be a often underutilized friend in Minecraft building but I have to admit when a symmetrical build works out it can certainly be Very special. This arguably would not be a simple habitat for a Viking and gives us off more of the vibes of a feasting hall, meeting place or maybe a mansion. Pretty certain Vikings didn’t have Mansions but anyway. The rooves were one of the key aspects of this build allowing it to expand Into the sky from its simple rectangle buildings. Although I did add some offshoots to either side to provide some depth and improve the shape once again. The build is fairly monochromatic but that felt appropriate except for a few splashes of red to add some extra interest to The build. I hope you enjoyed. Thanks so much for watching.
