The 4x4x4 Slowest Flying Machine Challenge | Minecraft 1.12.2
Hello, the Minecraft community has been lacking challenges lately, but a new one has emerged. The goal is to build a flying machine that is fully contained in a 4x4x4 obsidian box, flying in the north direction as slowly as possible. Here are the rules and how to participate:
Rules and Participation
To participate, download the world from the provided link and use Minecraft Java Edition 1.12.2. The flying machine must be buildable in survival mode without command blocks. It can contain entities that stick outside the box, but no actual blocks of the flying machine should be outside the box. To start the flying machine, blocks can be placed on the outside. There are three categories for submissions:
Categories for Submissions
The first category is perfect timing, where the flying machine flies the same amount of time for each block without any randomness. The second category is slightly random, where the difference between the slowest and fastest possible time it takes for the flying machine to complete 100 blocks is less than or equal to 1%. The third category is for flying machines that rely on something super random. More detailed rules can be found in the provided Google document.
Submission Process
To submit your creation, upload the world download and specify the amount of time it takes for your flying machine to move 1 block. Submissions can be made in the Slimestone Tech Archive Discord or by uploading a video on YouTube with the hashtag #4x4x4SFMC. The deadline for submissions is 11.12.2023 (DD.MM.YYYY).
