Spiderrichard – Max Speed Rails – Minecraft

Hey guys what is up I knew I said I wouldn’t be doing any more but today we’re doing another achievement in Minecraft now I know it’s one of the older ones but I thought thanks to the new title update this has been made a lot easier to do solo so I thought I

Would do the on a rail achievement now for this achievement you need to travel 500 meters by minecart in any sorry in one direction before the update this achievement used to take ages to do unless you knew someone who had already done it and built all the track

Themselves but it used to take so freakin long because the materials required work quite hard to get a hold of but like I said thanks to the recent update that has completely changed so here is how you do it to start off we are going to load up the

Tutorial level of Minecraft and we are going to skip past the tutorial and we are going to run out underneath the little bridge evil whatever thing this is and head into the little tutorial village first thing we’re going to do is we are going to go to the enchanting

Hood and we are going to grab ourselves a pickaxe and a hatchet so we’re just going to get them out the chest Oh missed it that’s the hatchet and then we are going to take this to the beacon and we’re going to mine ourselves some iron blocks

So go to the beacon and mind yourself 25 iron blocks then once you’ve got the last one you are going to change them into iron ball iron bars and you can do this in the little crafting menu if you go to this last one and then they see

There it’s going to change one block in a nine iron bars so do that until all your blocks are gone after this we’re going to return to the enchanting hurt and we’re going to take apart one of the walls to get ourselves some wood to make

Some sticks so I think you need in total 18 pieces no 18 blocks of wood so now that we’ve got our blocks away we’re gonna turn them into sticks and I think we need 2 more so just gonna chop down 1 2 more blocks no no just one and then

Change it into a stick so now that we have got ourselves some sticks and iron we are going to look for a crafting table and we are going to make ourselves an iron pickaxe this will become clear as to why we are doing this in a bit but

We’re going to there were also got myself and in pickaxe now just to get the rest of the equipment head down at the redstone tutorial area and you were going to go to the chest in the center of the room open it up and grab yourselves a lever a

Stack of redstone that’s 64 and a stack of the redstone torches after this head back outside and you’re gonna go towards the little stone doorway that has the minecart on the other side go to the chest inside and grab yourself a minecart next we are gonna head to this

Building in the tutorial world which is in the bottom left hand corner of your map so here I am next to this ship and I am looking at the building that I’m going to go inside and these are the coordinates on the map should you need

To look at them so you can find out where it is then we’re going to run along the pier and we are going to go up the ladders to our right and we’re going to get off at the first exit and then we are going to go through the double doors

That are there and then we are going to go through the door on the left hand side into the library and you see this fire at the end we’re going to go to the left of the fireplace where there’s a little lever we’re going to flip that

And then we’re going to go down into the secret passage don’t go down and into this lovely little room at the end once inside we’re going to mine ourselves two blocks of gold and then we are going to change them into gold bars you can do

This in the same tab of your menu that we did for the iron blocks to get them in the iron bars once you’ve done that we’re going to head back outside and we are going to start building our material stuff our rails once the door lets me

Out freedom with the materials you got you’re going to build yourself 18 powered rails and about 496 normal rails just keep building rails and toll you run out of materials now what we need to do is we need to build our track and to keep this as simple as possible I have

Just got a load of cobblestone and built a nice long straight line down one of these sides of the map just in case you do actually want to mind a load of cobblestone and do it the same way that I have here is a little tutorial on how

You can get a lot of cobblestone quite fast by using a cobblestone generator if not you can just build this on any land as long as it does travel 500 blocks in one direction now very important thing to remember is to make sure that you travel the

500 meters by minecart so that means that we need travel 500 blocks because one block equals one meter so you can see here on the map I am looking at it and I have the coordinates 430 64 and 400 this is my starting point for my

Truck I am working along the z axis so you can see I’ve added a couple extra blocks here to go back to four zero three so I’ve got a bit of extra room just in case I go under 500 so I need a walk in this direction until the z axis

Says minus 100 so I’m going to walk along here and then eventually when I hit minus 100 on the z axis I am going to place my last block and that will be the end of my truck 500 blocks long so let’s just walk along here doo doo doo

Doo doo doo doo doo doo so here we are at block minus 100 and you can see I put an extra one on the end just so I’ve got a bit of wiggle room just in case I’ve made it a little too short and you know what I’m going to build my starting

Point here so for my starting block I’m gonna place a powered rail down and I am going to place another rail after it and I’m going to keep going until I reach this 30th block at this point I am going to place another powered rail and this

Is just so the minecart keeps going on the flat surface and you don’t have to worry about putting hills or anything in and then I want to put a redstone torch beside the block with the powered rail on it because I want the power this rail

So I do not stop if you don’t power it it will act as a brake and slow you down and I’m gonna do this every 30 blocks down the track a bit of an easier way to space the tracks out rather than counting 30 blocks which is a little

Time-consuming is to look at your map so you can see here I’m a block three five zero so I’m gonna walk along there until it which is three eight zero and then I want to place another powered rail so doo doo doo oh I’ve already placed it

There but you can see here I’m at three eight zero I want to place my redstone torch and the other powered rail so there we go done so just do this all the way to the end of your track and you should be good to go so I’ve returned

The first block and I’m going to make a little ledge for the lever to go on which will power the rails that are down on the floor so you can see yeah I’ve switched the lever on powered rails are powered so doo-doo-doo shiny red dude not shiny right so this

Is my finished station platform I have put the lever there and I want to put the minecart on the track there and then I want to press the button and it’s going to work all that is left to do is return to the starting point get yourself your minecart in your inventory

Place it on the D powered powered rail and then flip the switch I know where we go and you can see here I’m doubling over the powered rails and I’m going like the clappers so when I get to the end of here the achievement should pop but unfortunately I actually

Got this achievement a while ago so you will not see a pop on my thing but you can see here on the z-axis I am travelling quite fast and I will get to the end and then nothing will happen but anyway this is exactly how I got the
