Ultimate Witchcraft Power-Up!

Hello and welcome back to episode 2 of the Minecraft hardcore bewitchment mod series to make any progress in this mod we’re going to need an alter and a cauldron so we can make our potions and such and I did a little bit of digging online to get a better understanding of

How Alters work basically in the bewitchment mod there is ambient magical energy just floating around us at all times what an alter does is it funnels that magical energy to a single point where it can then be used for various magical tasks here we go a mossy cobblestone witch

Alter now that looks cool so we’re not going to put it here we’re going to put it under ground beneath us because uh I’d like to be able to use the power generated by this alter but we don’t really need to see it because to power

It up we’re going to need a lot of blocks the more organic blocks surround the altar the better the more powerful it is but that might lead to some rather ugly uh ugly builds and we don’t want that so I’m going to shove it Underground I need to uh replenish a

Little bit I used up a lot of resources constructing this house I burned through pretty much all of my iron the last of it’s right here uh I broke my axe my diamond pickaxe is almost busted because off camera I actually goofed and I started constructing it over there

Before I realized I did had I had forgot to hit record so I tore the whole thing down and rebuilt it over here because I thought this would be a better spot all right I found more iron that’s good let’s collect as much as this as we can

Whoa hello I see deep dark over there and I see this the tentacles of a squid poking through the ceiling that’s weird more silver can’t say no to that hello creepy you just got annihilated oh snap oh it pays to be accurate doesn’t It okay I’m not sure why that creeper was just hopping there all right we’re now just above the the Bedrock let’s go this direction I feel like I’m finding more silver than I’m finding iron well the durability on my pickaxe is taking a toll and I have not found a single diamond

Oh I shy I spoke too soon look at that as soon as I have to finish down here I’m going to round up some cows and start breeding them up get some sugar cane going so I can get bookshelves oh I just realized I also need obsidian to do

This I need to build a enchanting setup so I can power up my tools oh look more diamonds all right so in the last episode I almost walked right into some lava there it is so if I can dig up and around it I can pour this water on it and start collecting

Obsidian what is it 10 seconds per block with regular diamond oh I could get an obsidian alter all right 22 obsidian should be plenty for now let’s unload all this fabulous stuff stuff that we got for now we need to craft ourselves an enchanting table if I can find do I have any

Leather left oh no I don’t have any no okay we’ll deal with that in a minute but first I need to start rounding up huh what was that I heard a ghost oh there’s two ghosts this is perfect actually I can build the last of my shelves not well poppet shelves not an

Actual bookshelf a man he didn’t give me anything could I perhaps bar borrow your uh ectoplasm it didn’t give me anything what I flattened out a spot let’s uh get some kind of pasture worked out I have fences I think I’m going to build a barn

At some point but right now I just need to get the resources so we’ll put that off for later come on to your new house where you will definitely be safe and never be eaten as steak come on inside my friend okay we’ll breed these two up and while they’re doing their thing

We’ll find More Cows cuz I know we had more somewhere come on fellas all right everybody come on inside yes sir get get why are you all bunched up get out of the way I’m basically planting a whole freaking Forest because I’m going to need a lot of blocks for uh

Powering up my altar this is an absurd amount of trees what have I done this is this is going to take forever to cut down why am I at the seashore you may ask well I need to find a magma block because uh witches cauldrons require a

Heat source to do anything so I’m off on a quest to find oh look there’s some right there to find some magma blocks I sure hope there’s no drown over here with Trident hello okay that’s what I came for I’m out of here oh a desert I’m

Going to head over there and look for rabbits cuz perhaps as I pass through this Forest on the way home that way I could find myself an owl oh wait that’s not a desert that’s just a beach oh don’t mind if I do I’ll take that and uh

Put that back cuz I missed oh cauldrons hello Mr Mason I’ll take those thank you and free blocks I believe in free blocks and I’ll take this thanks do these provide alter power oh they do interesting oh wow I found a badlands biome look at this the skeleton doesn’t

I centered yes replace that with this so that’s where our cauldron will be where we’ll do all of our brewing and such and that’s not centered what am I doing no aha now we get that really nice ambient bubbling sound craft up a book now I can craft my enchanting table let’s go

You know what may be faster it just occurred to me is if I can find a desert village that has a bunch of bookshelves already I can just steal theirs I don’t have to grow my own sugar cane or my own cattle I should probably just go on a

Little adventure and find some bookshelves to take for myself man I have to cut all of these trees down because I planted them oh this is going to be such a big chore aha there’s the bad lands and another Village and now hopefully adjacent to these bad lands we’ll find a

Desert bookshelves yes yes maybe I don’t need to get to a to a desert town now I still want to check out the bad lanch just because there might be some goodies over there bunnies oh that’s not a bunny that’s a toad oh wow can you do that

Again what the heck I wonder if these are neutral like the Ravens let me hit one uh he doesn’t seem to care oh my gosh that is is so creepy let me not tame any of those I don’t want that noise in my base let’s see what’s Beyond the Horizon aha a desert

These man hard to satisfy there it goes this one was playing hard to get I see a barn owl there’s a good option whoa whoa who’s attacking me hello uh little Mr barn owl there we go now we have two owls and two Ravens and they seem to have annihilated these

When I played with this mod about a year ago before 1.20 I think I was playing at a 1.17 at the time I think I chose a black screech owl to be my familiar cuz I liked the I liked his ears but I think I want to do the snowy owl This Time

While you know what I could do is just time lapse chopping all these trees down so let’s do that All right tools Brewing rituals I’ll get to that in a second oh oh my goodness I’m not going to read all that on camera let’s just look at the basics the Fine Art of Brewing is a core discipline of Witchcraft to get started with Brewing you’ll need a boiling witch cauldron

Some alter power as well as other miscellaneous ingredients to start a brew first add a mandc rout to to the witch cauldron after adding a mandric root you can add other ingredients each ingredient will increase the alter power needed to bottle The Brew by 150 and having insufficient alter power while

Brewing will cause the Brew to fail immediately so keep that in mind ingredients can be divided into potion ingredients and modifiers no matter your alra power you can only add up to four ingredients potion ingredients add effects to your Brew you’ll always want to have at least one of those the exact

Effects provided by certain potion ingredients are outlined in other entries more ingred can be added though that comes at the cost of space for modifiers modifiers will enhance your Brew Redstone Dust increases the duration while glowstone dust makes it more potent lastly you can postprocess your potions using a regular brewing

Stand also note that when the water is brown it usually means you failed your Brew there’s Elemental oils and mundane Brews and then all these individual potions and their various effects uh let’s look at Elemental oils Elemental oils are essential crafting components in witchcraft they are made out of a

Type of bark and other components to craft a few bottles of oil first throw a piece of bark into a boiling witch cauldron then add the other ingredients once it reaches a pleasant matching color you can bottle it and now mundane bruise while a witch cauldron can be

Used to make much more incredible bruise some witches May at times prefer to use more subtle Brews so it says these are mundane but these are some really powerful effects like invisibility and haste that is really good so we’re not going to bother with those right now

What I need to do first of all is this cauldron has no magical energy because I don’t have an altar anywhere so I built an alter let me see if I can find where I put it so here’s the alter I have now I need to place this somewhere and

Surround it with Organic blocks I was thinking I might put it directly under this ow directly under this maybe I don’t know 10 or so blocks down and then excavate a large Cube around it and we will fill that in with all of these that we’ve been working on we could

Potentially make a very powerful alter but it all depends on the radius that affects the alter but for now what we need to do is excavate that space I was talking about so we can start placing organic blocks in so we’re going to time-lapse that as Well well shoot it looks like I broke my diamond pickaxe it had efficiency three on it darn it well this is about as far as we got four layers down I forgot that right here we have a river so I can’t actually knock out these blocks oh I can

Knock that one out I can’t knock out these blocks or else I reveal the river so something is better than nothing so I’m going to start filling in what we have dug out and see how much magic energy we can generate from our altar which is right here all right I have a

Sword a pentacle and a wand on but I’m not sure how I place them I’m confused I don’t know how to place stuff on here I’m going to start filling this space in with leaves and logs just so we can get something out of our altar I don’t know

If there’s a right way or a wrong way to do this but I’m going to do like this I have no idea if I’m doing this right I’m just going to stuff this all in here and hope for the best I think this project might be too big for one episode so what

I’m going to do is I’m going to fill in the space we have dug out and perhaps get one of those haste potions which will very much speed up the process of digging out the rest of this oh I know what’s going on it needs a carpet on

It and we want a white carpet on it oh now we get a little meter on the left that indicates how much me we have okay so we put a candle loer there our sword and our Pentacle there we go and now you see on the left here you see

That meter starting to fill up with magic energy but yeah let’s keep filling in this area until well until we run out of stuff to fill it with and get as much out of this altar as we can and then in future episodes or maybe off camera I’ll dig

The rest of this down all the way down to that level hey down there and increase the power of my altar all right we have filled in the entire space that we dug out but for now I want to brew some potions and see what we can do I

Want to see if we can make a haste potion so I’ll grab a dandelion although I don’t have any glowstone so I can’t I can’t amplify it I we’ll just test it out so let’s put a Mand Drake in there we go put the dandelion in oh look at

That it’s still working we have room for one more ingredient which should be glowstone did I pick up I have glow stone I forgot from the witch when I killed a witch it gave me glowstone oh I killed it oh oh no I probably don’t have enough uh

Organic blocks down there to power that oh well well that sucks well I’ve been doing a little bit of work off camera I did a bit more work here in the interior you can see I add a added a cauldron behind me and a campfire and the campfire is important because I can

Turn bark into wood ash which in turn can then be turned into chalk you see I’ve moved my cauldron off from the center here because it was kind of in the way so now we have this kind of a witchery Brewing Station thing going on here essentially I’ve pretty much

Accomplished everything I meant to accomplish in this episode but I don’t want to finish this episode yet because I haven’t really built anything and I feel like it wouldn’t be right to finish an episode without something to show for it so I’m going to build that Barn I was

Talking about to house all of the barn animals we have and I may do some other Farm related infrastructure around that and I’m going to do all of it in a more medieval style so let’s go [Applause] Why did I have to design this to look so ominous well here goes nothing all right what do we get o another waste nice all the glowstone we could ever want or need and now from this high vantage point I think it’s a good time to give you all a

Tour of what I’ve built we we have a pasture for all of our sheep and our cows we have this beautiful barn and I’ve got my barn owl perched up there we have a crop field with lots of wheat potatoes and all kinds of stuff also something more subtle that I changed is

I updated my tree I didn’t like the way it looked from the previous video so I went ahead and fleshed it out made the trunk a little thicker I filled in some of the bear patches up top and yeah it’s a massive Improvement all right moment

Of truth can I create a haste to potion put the dandelion in now the glowstone dust so now it’s haste to now can I amplify it oh look at that look at that haste two for 3 minutes wooho that’ll make the project under my feet very very fast or at least it would
