Unveiling Chaos in Minecraft! Mod Madness!

Today on mod of the week for Minecraft 1.9 point 9 we are adding blood magic alchemical wizardry this is a magic mod that adds quite a few useful trinkets to play around with some that are that could be obtained fairly early on some that are more like game stuff to start

With a player will craft a blood altar as I’ve got here and begin collecting life points or life essence said you could do this in one of two ways first you could use a sacrificial dagger to sacrifice some of your own health hurting yourself but gaining Life Points

Second you could use a dagger of sacrifice to kill mobs on top of the altar to gain Life Points the altar starts office is a single block like I have here but can eventually be upgraded into this tier 6 monstrosity each layer of runes and other blocks adds an

Additional tier to the altar with each tier requiring more and more rooms than last and additional harder to acquire it blocks some of the useful toys we have in blood magic are essentials of different varieties the divination sigil allows you to see how much LP you have

In your network you can right-click it on an altar to see how much is stored in the altar the water said Jill allows you to create water using life points and the lava sigil allows you to create lava using life points the air sigil allows

You to fly it’s kind of a nice early game way of flight and the essential to Green Grove when activated will force crops around you to grow more quickly or you can right-click a specific crop to apply a bone meal like effect to it alright and lift the introduction out of

The way let’s get to the let’s play world okay back in the let’s play world let’s see what’s happened so I have a supercharged axe and pickaxe now done quite a bit of mining here’s my shinies chest as you could see I’ve got plenty of iron and diamonds to work with could

Be a bit better on the gold but I’m still processing some of my auras here a little bit annoying having to craft all the Nuggets into ingots but I mean it’s free extra metal so why not and of course most of these metals currently have no particular use or very few uses

But they do have some so I want to try and chanting something and kind of tempted do to do my axe first that I think the pickaxe would be the more reasonable choice and I’m hoping a certain little bug has been fixed by updating to a new a Minecraft version

But we’ll see ok so we’re guaranteed efficiency for let’s see what if i did my axe guaranteed efficiency for mmm alright I’m going to do the pickaxe and it looks like that bug has not been fixed and let’s see enchantments got an okay basic enchantment set yeah that

Bugs really nasty I’m going to have to look into fixing that on my own I was kind of hoping a new Minecraft version it would just be fixed on its own somehow but apparently not but we can just do that to get rid of the enchanted

Glow and I will repair this thing on my own time ok so let’s go and grab some materials here not quite sure what all I need I know I’ll need a couple of diamonds I think just to and I’m going to need some glass right so she go grab

Some sand I I think it might have to be stained glass that wasn’t previously the case but just enough items makes it look like you need stained glass so I’ll go and just take some sand from here for now we don’t have any way to make sand

At this point but this should be plenty so the farms have been expanded to a total of four plots and got one or two of them full entirely of late and the other with fluffy pots expanded the Sheep pen actually I may have built a soft camera I can’t remember but I’ve

Got quite a few sheep year to provide food alright so let’s see we need the blood altar and whoops okay this in cheap mode because i was in that creative world okay missing a stone and a furnace and course the dogs at the door as she

Always would be so i can i’ll just go ahead and get this sand and cobblestone cued up to cook and while i’m waiting for that i’ll go take care of the dog all right looks like I came back at a pretty good time so I have just enough

To go and make the altar and do that and a sacrificial dagger okay it looks like you can use regular regular glass that’s good and as you saw before in the introduction this thing can get pretty big for now I could set this here and we’ve got new textures on everything in

The mod so it looks pretty good unfortunately it doesn’t seem to show the blood in the altar so I guess that’s something a lot to look forward to in the future I mean rendering in 1.8 is a lot harder so i can understand alright

So i did a I did a update the health bar mod to one point eight point nine and add it in just for fun I kind of like to have it and of course the first sigil I’m going to want to make is the divination sigil

Some of these are kind of in a weird order unfortunately because I added the mod after the world was created but what else can you do alright blank slate stone in a tier 1 altar with 1,000 Life Points I think every click here is worth one or two

Hundred okay don’t kill myself that would be very bad and of course the bad thing about this is you’re going to need a decent amount of food to get started to keep your health topped off I think I might already have enough in there to go

Ahead and do this so I’m going to going to try it and that may take a while unfortunately the art the altar doesn’t produce any particles either oh but that did it sing very quickly ok so the alchemical array is something new and this is pretty simple so we’re going

To need glass we have glass now we’re going to need some arcane ash which means i’m going to need another one these blanks lights as well also going to need bone meal gunpowder flint and charcoal bone meal oh I venient Lee have one charcoal I have can’t remember how

Much of each gunpowder I have a little bit Flint I definitely have okay arcane ash are ashes ashes you used to draw an alchemical circle okay and we’ll need to go create another slate so with this what we need to do is right click on a block and that creates a little circle

And okay this thing is twenty uses by the looks of it so that’s good now we just need to add some glass to it but you have to start with the slight I’ve only done this once because sworn you just click the glass on it can I think this stone failed to

Become a slate must not have had enough Life Points okay let’s try this again this will be a bit easier once i get the divination said you’ll so i can see how many Life Points I have in here so I could have sworn it was just right click it with

The glass okay you have to have only one in your hand I guess okay now we just have to wait for this to do its thing and we get a divination signal so that this we can actually see how much is in the blood altar now so as before we

Learned stone requires 1,000 Life Points so I would definitely have enough to do another one and we can actually see as it’s using the Life Points you do have to be careful not to kill yourself when doing this is I forget what exactly does what the mod does

Apply a negative buff to you if you kill yourself alright so I’d probably like to make the sigil de Green Grove bro free agent boo apprentice blood orb okay so we’re definitely going to need to get into doing blood orbs so the apprentice blood orb that doesn’t that does require

A tier to alter that will probably need to start with the week 1 then the week one we can use to make love a crystal water reagent and blank rooms which we need to upgrade the altar alright will i may stop recording for a while and grind

Out some slights that will take a little while to get enough to really do anything so i will be back later alright we’re back and I’ve got enough blank slates to upgrade to the second tier of do blood altar so normally you can only put in one item at a time like

I was doing before but if you put a hopper on it you can put a stack in here and it’ll direct all the items in there and that I think that’s a bug how did I just break the altar by tapping it um okay I guess I’ll give myself a new

One okay and just to confirm yeah that just that does just break instantly and it gives you nothing so that’s a little bit troubling wait what really hopper is normally this hard to break I don’t think they are I’m discovering more bugs apparently so out of curiosity if I hit

This with a pickaxe okay that does give me the altar back okay oh yeah done don’t don’t tap the altar got it okay so what I was going to do is I I did make the weak blood orb and this is a diamond in a tier 1 altar 2000 LP and

With this you can then right-click to bind it to yourself and I will hurt you a little bit and this thing stores life points which you can use to use your schedules and probably some other things and right-clicking after you’ve already bound it to yourself you can add life

Points to it like that and if you right click with the divination sigil in the air it’ll tell you how much you have stored in all of your blood orbs put together and if you store your blood or bin and alter it’ll will absorb any blood that’s in there or

Life essence I suppose is the correct term okay so let’s go ahead and grab that alter you need to move it a little bit and make the runes that we need going to do the basic ones and these can later on be upgraded in two different rooms that have different effects on the

Altar like give you more Life Points every time you use the sacrificial dagger so I think I already said this but I did just publish the health bar mod on curse so you can download that and play with it if you want I’ve also published a whipped up here so you can

Use that if you want I think whele is available for one point eight point eight so it would probably work on one point eight point nine as well but if you don’t there if it doesn’t or you don’t want to use it for some reason you

Can use wit instead I’m going to keep using wit for now okay eight of these and again I’ll just keep the altar here for now Stalter nice go in the middle nothing in particular under it and eight bruns all around and this should be it

Yep it is a tier to alter now I’m going to have to go back into putting Life Points into it again and I could go ahead and leave the hopper here and I want the apprentice blood orb as soon as possible so we need five thousand life

Points for that I have not much why is why is it draining are you just draining your life points into nothing I gotta fix pickaxes not working on hoppers I don’t know what the heck is going on here you’ve stabilized at 1000 oh I think the blood altar might have some kind of

Internal buffer yeah so it’s just draining into that buffer whatever it’s used for actually I don’t even have an emerald do I know I don’t have an emerald so I cannot make the apprentice blood orb okay I guess I’ll stop recording again and come back later when I have some more I

Can do well I’ve got to say this world is pretty good i walked just a short distance away from where i was set up and I’ve gotten extreme Hills by um five minutes of caving and we got some emerald CA and I would like to point out

If you look at the health bar here you see I’m 19.2 health so it is actually possible to have non-integral health so in this case this means that i’ve got a little over nine and a half hearts but not quite 10 oh hi zombie hey goon so that that’s kind of interesting by

Default the health bar mod will display only one digit after the decimal place but you can change that to display however many you want even zero ok so I’m going to look for my way out of here there’s even an abandoned mine shaft oh and I should probably make a note of the

Coordinates the zombie spawner uh yeah and the f3 screen this is definitely changed since 1.7 so that your crosshairs turn into basically two axes of the coordinates so for example blue is the the z axis red as the XY or green as the Y and since we’re in Minecraft

Uses OpenGL it’s a right-handed coordinate system so that’s what the X goes to the left of the z axis lots of chaos so we’re over here the others even to an abandoned mine shaft here I love abandoned mine shafts but they are for some reason very hard to find in modded

Minecraft normally I guess it’s like the biomods that we tend to use interfere with the spawning of certain vanilla structures somehow i don’t actually know how to get back from here no wait here it is ok to thanks my lucky day apparently oh and if you’re wondering

Update 25 I think that’s actually a bit outdated but curse and Saul’s its own instance of Java and just does whatever it feels like so could be that’s using an outdated version but it’s probably ok but oh that must feed a treehouse that’s like what kind of weird structure is

That so in case you’re wondering that that’s up in the upper rights kind of what my hardware configuration is like I 747 90k which from what I believe is the best cpu for running minecraft gtx 670 a bit outdated but still more than enough for playing most games I mean if I was

Playing the latest triple-a titles i would probably be a little inefficient but for what I do it’s enough and 16 gigabytes of RAM just the right amount for what I need and the reason that the i747 90k is in my opinion the best cpu for minecraft is look at that clock

Speed 4 gigahertz is the base clock speed the turbos 4.4 so I mean minecraft doesn’t really care too much about core counts so you want just the most speed that you can get so the higher the clock speed the better and of course Intel Trump’s AMD clock / clock

The next Blood orb so we have that altar is full I filled it up on my own time emerald is still over here okay and this requires five thousand Life Points to do bright and very little else do if emerald set the moment just stuff from gems mostly

Want let’s see se fue lo de Green Grove I was originally kind of wanting that but I’ve already sorta got my farm under control so not terribly useful at the moment although it could certainly be a good thing to have something else that is consider making is the lava crystal

We wait to let you use life points for smelting and let’s see I just have to while the buckets left of course I could go grab some lava for that I think at one point there was a bug where the the metal furnace from fun ores would eat

The lava crystal or no it was the chaos pylons that we’re doing that I don’t know about the metal furnace never tested it I guess we’ll find out pretty soon actually seeing what looks like a bit of tearing on the screen but that’s a little bit unusual guess

Try turning vsync on see what that does I believe that did eliminate the tearing oh but then I get frame drops yeah think the best thing to do is to just turn up the frame rate limit okay it’s still tearing may need to install optifine at some point those we’re

Download my framerate is having trouble getting to even 60 at this point oh hello creepier okay lava crystals so we’re going to need glass a diamond and a little bit of obsidian doing excellent on diamonds probably have a few too many spawning in the world fun ores by

Default if you enable diamond spawns is two extra deposits where you normally get one having so much trouble finding stuff okay well we should be able to use the apprentice blood or peer but it’s not just enough items doesn’t seem be quite smart enough to do that I mean it

Is a pretty new mod so it might improve oh okay well it still doesn’t recognize that because it has different in BTW so we’ll have to lay out the recipe by hand all right let’s easy enough and no we cannot use the apprentice blood orb that’s odd

Huh I guess blood magic is at fault here they just still not recipe working quite correctly but let’s see I need to right click this to bind it to myself alright and let’s see how much I mean Life Points I have so 2200 so if i were to

Put this in the fuel slot of the furnace for instance and put like a piece of cobblestone in there it will cook that piece of cobblestone lava crystal stays intact consumed 25 Life Points to do so ok and this metal furnace it’s going to take a little while I before it finishes that

Blob a bucket I guess I could good and make another one and like I said last time the metal furnaces are a little bit on the pricey side but considering that’s like the only thing we have that’s any better at all at this point it’s a good deal

Once we get more and more mods in of course this thing will become kind of useless okay so let’s put you in and see if you eat the lava crystal hopefully you don’t but okay it does not alright and we even get the increased fuel efficiency so that’s good we can

Use a lot of crystals to smell things of course that does require life points so let’s see what else could we do how about the sigil of air little bit of flying ability so for that we need air reagent how how does one get air reagent don’t actually know

Well the sigil de Green Grove I know we can craft have to get back to you on how to do the air reagent okay one sugar three sugar cane for saplings and the apprentice blood orb like that makes the grow free agent and said you’ll will require a

Reinforced slate so that’s the second tier slate that’s okay we can make one of those see how we’re doing 7400 that’s plenty okay so we got a blank slate in there now and you can see it’s still draining life points or is that I called the blank slate I can’t remember as

We’ll see in just a moment it will transform once again there we go it’s very subtle change but it changed worst case scenario you could just tell by saying that’s no longer draining the life points if we’re going to need our ash again draw a circle down

There and we need the grow free agents or anything else that is to use for not the moment but it looks so that came to me is reinforced slate on that alright so here we go sigil to Green Grove so let’s see that’s how many Life Points I’ve currently and we can just

Right click on something to grow that particular thing that use 150 wow that’s pretty expensive or we could just shift right click to turn it on and see how yeah it also uses a hundred and fifty those things a little bit pricey but I mean it’ll grow growth why can I not

Talk it’ll grow crops faster which means I can breed more sheep kill more sheep get more food to make more Life Points and so on and so forth oh I know my frame rates kind of loads because i’m recording full screen that’s right ok so

This setup is all well and good but it would be nice if we had some better runes if i could spell rune so let’s see the rune of self sacrifice will increase the number of life points we get per use of the sacrificial knife so this lil required glowstone

Unfortunately which I don’t have any of at the moment i’ll have to go to the nether so i’ll probably save that for next episode depending on what I decide to do where what mod I decide to add next week but now though i might go ahead and fill

Up this apprentice blood orb that way I have some Life Points to use sigils and stuff if I 12 so let’s see what other stuff do we have to look forward to down the road ultra maker hmm I’m going to but that is maybe to auto build the

Altar that would be useful how does one make that creative only well darn i wish i had known that that was recording the first part of this episode see we’ve got bound tools which I probably well actually you need to bound sword to get the blood stone bricks to get the weak

Blood charge you have to kill stuff with the bound soared if I remember correctly and anything else that sticks out at the moment I don’t know it seems like there’s a lot less stuff here than there was before like I don’t see the bound armor or whatever it was called and

There’s some things here that just don’t seem to ever recipe at all so the this mod is in beta they’re actively working on it so there’s probably a lot of stuff that’s missing or incomplete at this point things that were in the 1.7 version but so far i

Would say blood magic 84 or 1.8 19 is looking pretty good and i look forward to seeing where the mod goes in the near future okay looks like I’ve almost finished smelting all my oars and stuff so I may go ahead and use a lot of crystal for that that should take two

Uses of the lava crystal no a little more than one use of the lava crystal to smell to nor it takes more because of the Nuggets it produces all rights next episode we’ll probably just do some random stuff and then the episode after that we’ll add a new mod

I’ve got a list of the few mods that I want to add one in particular is called care set or charset however you want to pronounce it I say care i had some professors that said jar who knows but that has some interesting looking stuff in it like pipes and Projekt RED style
