What’s up everyone how you doing blue nerd here and welcome back my friends to our minecraft how to build a nordic village i sure hope you guys are having an awesome day now today guys before we get started i just wanted to say thank you for all the Support in the last video the amount of comments and likes and stuff like that was just insane so thank you so much for all the support guys it really is appreciated now today we’re going to go ahead and we’re going to start building the wall it connects onto the main gate here now The design here is actually pretty simple it’s not too hard to follow along it’s kind of a repeated pan all the way across and you can even curve it around the corners like this to make a nice little kind of finish to it um and it fits in perfectly i think it works Really nice with the wall um and i did make a very slight edit to it from my original design but it’s very small um but it makes it much easier to build and it gives it a much nicer flow throughout so it’s a much better design in general Now with that being said guys i have been working on a design for the village as well now this house here is just a quick sort of mock-up this is nothing sort of permanent at the moment i’m just trying to work out sort of a design for The village so i’m not too sure what you guys would prefer would you prefer seeing a bunch of smaller houses large houses a combination of them all i mean there will be a lot of different sort of sizes for houses anyway um but i think this design kind of blends in really Nice with the water we got going and i think this will work really cool with the village um but it’d be great to hear some feedback from you guys let me know what you think of this design would you like me to continue with this design or Do you think we need to go in a different direction so any feedback guys would be much appreciated but with that being said guys let’s go ahead and take a look at what blocks we’re gonna need to start building today okay guys we only need a few things Today so all we’re gonna need for this one is some dark oak logs dark oak stairs and slabs some spruce fences some stone blocks stone bricks and some lanterns for a bit of light in and that is pretty much it okay guys before we get started let me Just apologize for the last video being a little bit dark for the underside of the gate so before i get started on the walls let me just come over to the gate and as you can see guys we’ve got this on the underside now before i just quickly talk you Through it just go ahead guys if you want to pause the video here either take a picture or pause it and have a good look so you can see what’s going on here and it might make it a little bit easier for you guys to replicate I’m also going to go ahead and i’m going to move back just over here and again guys if you want to pause the video here so you can get a good view from the front here then go ahead and do so now okay now that we got the two angles out Of the way guys i’m gonna start by letting you know where this pillow over here is okay on top we’ve got a slab then we’ve got three more slabs making four in total and each one goes up by half a block at a time behind it we got more slabs to come down By half a block okay each time and then on that second one there we also bring the slabs right across the top with where we connect to the other side okay so the very top part here where we’ve got the uh log sticking out there as you can see underneath there’s A gap it stays at the same level then we go half a slab down that one block back now we come down again a half a slab more again and we bring one up towards the center there leaving that one block gap in the middle there to create an Arch and again that’s going down so we got one row of slabs there this row of slabs here is one block lower well half a block lower and then the next row is again half a block lower the very middle of it we go half a block Up okay and that’s where we got the lantern on this side and this side right in the center part of the walkway and then for the other side it literally just reverses so it’s pretty simple and it isn’t a sort of overly crazy design um and again guys i really do apologize For the dark video i really was supposed to take a night vision potion and it completely slipped my mind and while i was recording the video to me looked quite bright so i didn’t even sort of think to myself about taking the potion so do apologize For that guys but with that being said let’s go ahead and start getting the wall in place okay for the wall guys we’re gonna start on the right hand side and we’re gonna make this will come out at a bit of an angle okay so we get a slight bit of an Angle to the wall now i’m going to show you how to make it an angle you can also go ahead and make it straight if you want and then i’m going to show you how to curve it and you can curve it whether it’s a straight wall or a slight curved wall So first of all on the right hand side here we’re going to use this pillar here and this pillar here as the main sort of first pillars of the wall so right in line with this pillar we’re going to come up here we’re gonna leave a three block gap and we’re gonna place A block just there which is our dark oak log okay let’s just place one on it for a minute just so we’re one block above the ground over here now we’re gonna place one diagonally forward here and then we’ll get from this one leave a three block gap and Place another one just there place one diagonally forward leave a three block gap and place one there okay diagonally forward so we’re going to come to there leave a free block gap and place one there okay so basically we’ve got five blocks each time okay so there’s three blocks in the Center and this one this one on the corner make five corner across to here corner to here and it’s just a repeated pattern then i’m gonna just bring it up to this one go one two three and the next one would realistically be in here okay Now i’m gonna go ahead and i’m gonna raise these until they are level with the floor here okay which is that high there now from the ground that is gonna work out one two three four five six okay so six blocks from the ground um But if your ground or level is like this and it kind of goes and slopes up you want to just make sure that you keep it this height here which is the floor height so once you go ahead and you get your pit once you’ve got your pillow you want To just literally join like that three blocks in the center bring your next one up to the same bit bring it three plugs across and join it to this one bring your next pillar up three blocks in the gap and then join your next pillar up and again moving over And just joining it upwards so just continue that same pattern all the way across as far or sort of as sort of wherever you want wherever your destination is for the wall or to where you want the corner point okay i’ll show you how to turn around the corners in Just a bit but for now just go ahead and do something like this for the opposite opposite side over here it’s going to be exactly the same so again from this pillar here leave a three block gap and we’re gonna go one there go one in front Now if you want the wall to go at the reversed angle rather than coming outwards you want it to go backwards you would literally do the opposite so you would did you start doing that so you’d go back three block gap to there then go back and three block gap But i want it to come forward so for me i’m going to place it with a three block gap one there go there leave a three block gap and then it’ll be one here okay and then we’re going to just continue that pan leaving a free block gap Between each pillar like so and then once we get to about here that’s going to be roughly where the wall is going to stop it’s going to go into this mountain at the side here so again we’re going to raise this one up until it is at the floor level and Connect it to here we’ll do the same down here and just keep connecting them up and making sure that we stick to the same height okay it’s very important we do that so that we can keep a consistent flow for the floor over here i’m just going to do that for Now and we’ll leave the rest to uh because we’re going to basically bring it over and later on we’re going to maybe work a tower or something in over here but for now we just want a short wall at each side just a section of this part of the um Of the actual gate now once you’ve done that you want to do exactly the same on the opposite side so over here we’re going to come round to the side here we can break these three stairs in the center here and again now this time we’re going to work from this Pillar we started from that pill up now we’re going to go here so leave a free book gap we want to go here and this time we want to go forward that way because we want to make the angle the same as the one at the front So again we’re going to go forward that one you can see it goes there and then forward so we want to go there and then one forward three block gap to the side one here one forward okay and then again you just want to raise them until they are the floor height so There’s your floor height bring three blocks across here bring that up to the same level and then bring this one to the same level three across and just continue that pattern all the way across and what should happen is you should have a free block gap between everything Here okay so we should have one two three as you can see over here one two three everywhere should have a free blood gap all the way down okay it should consistently flow all the way through so let’s just join up this one here we’re putting out next one here and then One two there and then we’re just gonna break that put a couple of logs there and then we’ll just get rid of some of these let’s break those two and we’ll do that okay now that’s a nice simple kind of design it’s very easy to kind of follow along with Now from here what we’re going to do is place a pillar a log on here sticking outwards and then one every other block across here and then when we get to this pillar we want to put one on this pillar as well so as you can see we’ve got two here Okay place two like this one on this pillar two across one on this pillar two across and then officially would be one on this pillar here over to the the back here repeat the same thing one on no pillar there one on the pillar there you’ll place one in the Middle on the two pillars and one in the middle two pillars one in the middle and just repeat that all the way across your build and you should get something that looks a bit like this and again don’t forget to go ahead and repeat the same thing on This side okay so let’s bring up this one at the back all right guys so once you’ve got that all in place let’s go ahead and we’re just going to get our stone for the moment and basically in between our gaps of our pillars we’re literally going to Just fill them up with a stone like this okay fill it all the way up with the stone once you’ve done every gap so in between all of these gaps put your stone once you’ve done the ones on this side you simply want to go around do the same on the opposite side Like that and because this was going to be hollow guys it’s going to be a good idea to go ahead and put some lighting in here i’m just going to stick some lanterns for now but it’s probably just best to just put in a bunch of torches or Something like that something that is less expensive um just fill it up with some lighting of your choice um and then once you’ve done that you want to make sure that you put your stone stone blocks in all of your walls all the way across And then what you’re going to do is just get some stone stone bricks and just give it a little bit of texture not too crazy you know just make it quite minimal really something like that and nothing sort of nothing really more you don’t want to Over texture these um you know just a little bit it’s just to kind of slightly break up the design you know something like that and make sure that each wall looks different you don’t want it looking like it’s just a repeated pattern everywhere so just make sure they all look different Um you know make sure that nothing looks like it’s supposed to sort of fit with each other so something maybe like that let’s go like that and just keep switching it up as you go along so go ahead fill in all of these gaps and then put in a bit of Texture in it like this and i’ll catch you guys once you’re done okay guys once you’ve done that on both sides of your walls like this we’re going to head over to where the walkway is and literally just on the top part here we’re going to place some slabs in Like this you could use full blocks if you want but slabs will be less expensive of course and we’re just going to fill all of this in for the walkway again guys just make sure you light up underneath because the last thing you want is any mob spawning Go ahead do this across this side and go ahead and do it across the opposite side of the wall as well and make sure that you fill it all in and make sure that they’re all at three blocks gap there shouldn’t be there shouldn’t be anywhere that has a four Block or a two block or a different block gap everywhere should be exactly three blocks across like this okay okay once you’re done we’re gonna come over to the wall again here at the bottom and in front of our pillars down here we’re gonna place two dark oak logs okay Now here guys it depends on the terrain now as you can see the terrain starts to slope up here but over here is flat at the same level as the gate so here i’m gonna put in two here two here and then i’m gonna put in a stair on the top of Each one now as we move over you can see the terrain comes up so now i’m only going to add one here because i want to keep it at the same level so again we’re going to do one and keep our stairs on at the same level like so okay We’re also going to go ahead and add an upside down stair underneath all of these three that stick out and we’re going to place upside down stairs in the little gaps at the top there like that okay and we’re going to repeat it across the wall now again as just as the Terrain starts to slope up if you have that where you’re building you’re gonna end up wanting to sort of skip some of the pillars so for instance let me just put my snow in here so for instance here i’m gonna put a pillow and a stair to keep it at that Same level but over here i’m not gonna be able to do that so i’m just gonna put a stair on top like that and then this one here goes up even higher so here i’m not even gonna put it because it’s gonna look like as if it was sort of buried Under the snow or something okay so don’t go ahead and don’t place them anywhere that takes them out of that alignment you want them to stay all at the same level and then again guys just continue with your upside down stairs making sure you put them in the gaps and underneath Those sticking out logs once you’re done make sure you go ahead and you want to repeat it over this side and over the back side on here of the walls as well okay so go ahead and fill in all these areas with exactly the same pattern Okay guys that is the lower part of the wall all in place okay so now we’re going to start working on the next part of the wall so for this part here guys let’s start on the right hand side here and what we’re going to do is where we got the Pillar below we want to put a pillar above but on the log that sticks out now over here as you can see we’ve got this pillar already set back here so i’m not gonna put a pillow on this one i’m gonna leave that as it is so we’re gonna Skip this first pillar but from this one down here we’re gonna put a log on there and then one on that corner one here one on that corner one here one on that corner one here one in the corner one here one on the corner and then we’re going to raise these all Of these until they are three blocks higher so we’ve already put one down so one two more on top like this all the way across okay once you’ve got that let’s start by putting in some fence across here now this one will have four fences like this okay coming across The rest of them are only gonna have a three they’re in the gaps okay and the only reason this one has four is because we’re skipping that first pillar purely because we have this one behind it and because we already have one here so It would look a bit funny if we made it too thick so we’re going to keep going ahead go across and we’re going to put our fence in the gaps like this once you’ve done that guys again you want to go ahead repeat the pan on the Opposite side over here and i have missed out some upside down stairs under here so i need to go ahead and fill those out as well um but again you just want to make sure that you come to where you got your pillows below and place them on these ones here Missing that first one very important the one by the side of the gate here you want to miss that one but make sure you put them on the tops of all of the other pillars on the log that sticks out as you want them to be three blocks high in total All the way across okay guys once you’re done you should have something that looks a bit like this now if you want to you can come up onto the walkway here get your dark oak planks and you can actually remove this back row here of the um of the logs because this won’t Get seen from the other side so if you want it to look a little bit more like a full flooring on the inside you’ll have five blocks going across that way um it’s entirely up to you you haven’t gotta do this but i’m gonna just go in And just basically fill all of this in with my planks okay once you’re done guys you should have a walkway that looks a bit like this so as you can see the logs are all gone out of the way and you’ve got a nice clean sort of dark oak floor that Goes all the way through perfect okay guys right we haven’t got too much more to do now and this is shaping up pretty well so again we’re gonna start over on the right hand side here and what we’re gonna do is we’re gonna start from the pillar at The very top here so where our first pillar is place a dark oak slab and then run a straight line across until you join up to here right against this um cobblestone wall okay then we’re gonna place one on there we’re gonna bring that all the way Across across until we touch this pillar do the same across here until we touch the next pillar go to this pillar bring it across to this pillar and just keep doing that pan all the way across here like this okay now here obviously it will join in to my Um whatever i build at this side at some point i’m probably gonna put a tower there so i’m gonna stop just in fact i’m gonna go one there two three four five okay because that’s officially where the next pillar would in fact be would be there So i’m going to keep that to that let’s go around to this side here which is just opposite and we’re gonna do the same thing so put one in front of that pillar and then we’re gonna stretch it all the way over until we get one block next to the cobblestone wall there Then we’re gonna go in bring that all the way across till we touch this pillar one here bring it across till we touch this pillar one here bring it across till we touch this pillar and just keep repeating that pattern guys all the way across like so Okay until you join up with wherever you plan on connecting it to once that’s done you’re gonna come over and starting from the inner edge so we’ve got a bit coming across here for the roof and a strip coming across here go across one and up by half a slab Place one here and you can also do the same on this side and you’re literally just gonna stretch it until you get onto the pillar there this side here stretch it until you end up on top of the pillar then we’re gonna go up half a slab again There and we’re going to bring that across to the same point one there bring it across to the same point again on these two here and bring them back to the same point and then finally here we’re going to place one just in there to join that all The way across and then bring one all the way across the center like so now because this has an angle here um a lot of people get a little bit confused here but it’s quite simple we basically repeat exactly what we’ve done there on this side so we’d go from the Top of this log here join it across to this log top of this log join it across to this log then we just place one there and we come up by half a block if it does that you can break it like that and bring it in like that um you Know it’s just playing around to get it to get the block in place or you could literally just stair step it up like this if you wanted to on both sides to create that angle each one’s gonna go up by half a slab and you just bring it to the next log Again up here to the next log to the next log and this one down here to the next log now if you want to get rid of this sort of switch in the pattern here that’s looking a little bit sort of messy all you need to do is break this first row Once you’re done like that and then you just basically face the piece going across like this and just attach your single slabs like so across and then when we come back underneath here there we go we’ve got our normal pattern that just kind of moves one over each time So i’m going to go over this one more time guys and then i’m going to move on and finish the top of this roof and i’m going to repeat this same pattern over on opposite side so again from the top of the log here we’re going to just simply come across And join to this log this one here across to this log then if we place one here one here one on top of those one on the inside one there and there one in the middle there and one on top of it okay and if we just you just place one on the Top parts of all of these you can then break these five i think it is through the middle here like that make sure you’ve got a gap and then you just want to reconnect and without breaking it that would have been better like so and just reconnect your blocks like this okay And that way all the only reason i do that is just so you get a sort of clean pattern underneath the roof here okay so that you don’t get them extra blocks coming down that ain’t needed okay and then again just bring that down until you are in line with this next log Here okay and then we’re just gonna repeat the pattern again guys and it’s just a repeating pan all the way across so go ahead repeat that pan all the way down to one end and then go to the opposite wall and repeat the exactly the same pattern that we’ve done for this wall Starting with the little edge but it would be reverse this time so it’d be one on here you bring it over to here one on that log bring it across to the next log one on that log bring it across to that log one on this log and bringing It across to this log and you know so forth you get the pattern guys repeat on the opposite side and then you start your triangle roof nice and simple nothing too sort of awkward about it so now i’m going to quickly go and finish off the rest of This roof guys and i’ll be back with you in just a minute all right guys once you’re done you should have something that looks a bit like this now one thing i think i forgot to mention at the beginning guys it was you need some stone buttons as well just For a little bit of detail so all we’re going to do for this is on the front of these logs that are sticking out just go ahead and stick a stone bun on the front like so i’m gonna do that all the way across this side All the way across this side as well and then of course we’re gonna go around to the opposite side and do it all the way across as well okay looking good then once you’re done go ahead and get onto the gate just up here and we’re going to walk through to this Side over here and just add in a few lanterns so i think we’re going to just go ahead and where we have a fence here right in the middle i think we’re going to come right up to that middle one there and what we’ll have to do for the middle is We’ll have to put slabs across to turn it into a full block and then find the center one and put a lantern so it will be at the center of the walkway okay and we just have to bring a slab down to even it off so again over here we’re gonna come over To where the center is place some slabs in this little groove here find the middle one again which is just right there of that fence and then right above put a lantern in fact it’s that one there right in the middle as you can see there’s three Blocks across there you want the one in the middle and again just make sure it also lines up with the fence we’re just going to keep doing the same thing all the way across okay and then we’re going to go ahead and do exactly the same over on the Opposite side of the gate so again guys first of all i’m just going to put a slab right through the center in the little gap there and what i’ll do is i’ll create a little free block sort of gap in the middle here okay so go ahead and probably just Easier to just go ahead and just put slabs all through that little center gap in the ceiling first and then where you have your fence just find the middle block and put it onto the ceiling just like so there one in there and boom i think it’s that one perfect And just keep doing that same thing all the way across unless you guys have a better idea to do the lighting you can go ahead and do anything you want guys you don’t have to follow the same directions here for the lighting but i think this just keeps it evenly Spaced out pretty well and there you go Now one last thing you can do if you want to it’s not uh it’s obviously not essential is if you want to you could go ahead and get your iron bars that you use at the front here and just round at the tops here you’ve Got a little one block gap you could put an iron bar in there like that and do it on the opposite side over here as a well like that so that’s entirely up to you you haven’t got to do it and guys that is the whole wall done Like i said it’s a very simple design but i think it looks really cool with the wall and it fits with the style of everything now like i said you can turn the walls on this so let me just quickly demonstrate exactly what i mean over Here so for instance each each wall or each section is repeated so this section between this pillar and this pillar is basically repeated all the way across okay the entire design it would just be pretty much just move one block towards us each time that we do it so if we go ahead And we just go and put in one of the designs okay so let’s go like this bring it up to here it would be something like that we would have our stone in the center here like so we’d have our blocks down the bottom with our stairs We have our upside down stairs there logs like so logs like that one in the middle then we bring these ones up and these ones up now if i won’t bother with the roof as well we’ll just mark where the roof would start let’s do this so the roof is Going to start something about here okay something like that now what you would do if you wanted to turn the corner all you would need to literally do would be to simply come around at this side so say you wanted a this to be the corner and you wanted to turn around This side get your log repeat that design you got there on this side like that so that would be your first log leave your three block gap one there raise it up connect it across and repeat that same pattern that we done down on that one so just like this Fill this bit of your wall in just like that your upside down stair there then you put your log on here log on here and then your roof you’d place one on that corner one here and then obviously stretch it across to here then you go lock it to log and then this One will be through the center and that would be how you curve it around your corner okay and then again you just continue repeating it down here so again if you wanted to go sort of at a back angle you’d end up having a a pillar here and a pillar here And just repeat that pattern across like that that would be your pillars coming across so i’m not going to sort of fully detail this guys i’m just kind of showing you what you would do then you’d come across this would be your next points you’d be coming across like this Joining up to this one here and that would be as you would literally repeat your pattern as you go so you carry on you’d fill your walls in you fill your walls in you get your patterning down at the bottom and then again you’d have your upside down stairs like this Then you have your log sticking out and that’ll be it guys you just keep repeating your pattern and then your next one would be coming up here and then again your slabs would go in by one just from the front of that log to the front of the next one And then your roof would just go one back you’d end up with something along these kind of lines guys let’s go ahead and just put those in so you’d end up with something like that around your corner you’d have your wall coming down into this one and then you’d Slope it around as you please around that way and again you don’t have to slope it inwards you could slope it outwards um it’s entirely up to you if you wanted to keep it as a single pillar right so you want a very straight wall you could literally remove this block here okay And have this wall here be in line with this wall but it would start from here so you’d have your next wall here your next pillar here then you have your three block wall your pillow here okay and you just repeat the same pattern but you just basically remove one of the pillars Um it’s very simple to repeat you can repeat it in multiple ways you know and come up with any design of your choice it’s really easy to kind of twist this sort of design around and make it fit for whatever you’re building around so i hope that’s helped guys and i hope You kind of understand the layout that i’ve gone with for this one and hopefully you really like the style of it as well i think it fits in really hit really well here with this nordic village and um i can’t wait to see how this one shapes up So we’re gonna wrap it up just there guys please don’t forget to let me know in the comments what you think of the design of the house that i showed you the beginning do you think it’s a good fit for the village um but other than that guys i think that Is just about it so as always thank you so much for watching if you really did enjoy it and you want to see more of the nordic village don’t forget to smash that like button and if
