Building a VILLAGE in Skyblock, But it’s Hardcore Survival (#2)

You too my friends are gonna make so many things possible it’s the village of the sky episode I have survived thousands of days in an infinite Hardcore Minecraft world where I have access to an endless supply of blocks and materials so I asked myself a question what if it all disappeared and

Start off my journey to build a mega base in the sky on one life before we can do anything today I’m gonna need a villager breeder for those two which means we need some beds and hopefully I have enough string yes we do as I’m gonna need four beds and a few other

Random goodies that uh we’ll see how it goes before I get building I want to replant all of the carrots over here so we can keep Gathering as this is going to be a bit of a manual farm with the extra wool I’m gonna need car carpet but

I need four oh no I know how to fix that one there was a chicken in there I killed a chicken again how’d you get out here oh no no no no no no no bad baby zombie problem solved I recently received a tip from my friend Gemini Tay who is a

Skyblock professional that I should be building on the spawnable Block layer and using torches to light it up as we move into assembling a village this is gonna be really crucial so we can get wandering Trader spawns you know this over here we will work off of later

Since I’ve already got this down let’s take some time to tear off the roof I want to keep this base as compact as I possibly can with keeping everything really close to the mob spawner so we can keep building around it so I think I can actually fit the village operator

Right in here with the platform created I started assembling a simple villager breeder by zinji that should be enough to get us started I just need to get off of the roof now and wait for night time so that my villagers will want to get into those bits where hopefully this

Pathway up to the top won’t get them killed because that would be very sad make sure that the villagers don’t kill themselves when they fall let’s put some water right here we got a good while to go until nighttime gets here so let’s grab a few Cobblestone slabs and I think

I can fix up and it really improved the cobblestone generator today I think on the far side of the mob farm from the Villager section is a pretty good place to have it we just need another platform on this side to make it happen now if

I’m standing right here I can break one two three four blocks back trying to leave some space in here to upgrade it later with hopper so we can really collect everything and the lava won’t destroy it taking all the stairs crafted and filling them in with some water so

We get it flowing here into the center and then if I box in this entire top section I should be able to take the lava and hopefully not ruin everything by placing it directly here on top we have stone with no way to collect it quite yet maybe this will work that’s

Really not good okay we desperately need iron to make this happen I’ll leave you here for now I got a good amount of Cobble I think I can finish it all before we desperately need that working this should be a lot safer to work with

Now and we can leave it there as is as it’s finally night time meaning I think it’s time to move the villagers up let’s block them in here and definitely blocking off from the nether portal okay boys who’s feeling a little sleepy and wants to go to bed you are amazing look

The neighboring islands and get the new wood types and especially the dirt you know what I probably want some water for this here we are the spruce Island they’re sweet berries oh amazing what else is up here we’ve got ourselves a pumpkin unlocking a brand new item and sweet

Berries now if I place some water down here I should be able to jump down underneath and I hate this so much already but we can place some slabs along here getting the water back because that’s too spooky for me I can create a large platform that we can use

To make sure that if any saplings do drop we can keep the most important wood for safe keeping let’s plant our Sweet Berry down here and make ourselves a brand new shovel and a munch on a few apples we have a second baby oh that’s

So good we can almost get an iron farm set up I’m not sure what I need snow for but I want to make sure that I can get all of the resources I can just in case I yeah you know I do need it that’s enough for whoa we’re one snowball short

And there’s none on top of this tree oh no that’s not good let’s hope for a sapling at least to get something out of this Oh yes we got one oh I was getting so worried there are only three leaves left two saplings perfect and there’s all the dirt gathered up we’ve got 28 more pieces that’s huge I’m Gonna Leave just one torch on this far side so if it does

Start snowing we can get that back here I am churning through food because we’re moving around so much here so I gotta take a bunch of Bones and see how much weed I can get to get even more bread to keep the Villager breeder going I’m also gonna need a lot more carrots That brings me up to 18 more bread I can eat for a while and some more carrots for the villagers you two are doing great we’ll get you out of there soon the two villagers on top of the breeder are the only ones that I’m gonna be able

To zombie cure easily inside of this world meaning I want to give them jobs soon so we’ll have to get them down from there after a while and trade some of the new ones back up top under the safety of daytime I want another pinky workout here so let’s head all the way

Over to the birch tree this is so fun my pinky doesn’t hurt at all right now I swear no I’m not thinking that if I were to accidentally lift up my pinky this would mean the end of the series no no this is great I’m having a great time

We’ve got four villagers oh oh oh it’s iron farm time for a really simple iron farm I’m gonna be building the design by Waddles which requires a lot of fences I mean walls and a good amount of building blocks but unlimited iron is gonna go

Super far in this world for this I want to take a Wing off of the Cobble gen that we rebuilt earlier and turn this back half here into where all of the Villager things happen step one of all Skyblock builds is creating a platform to construct it on my hope is for the

Killing chamber to be somewhere here right in the middle off of that I need to take myself up and over here so this platform is totally worthless as the Farm’s gonna be hanging out behind nice good job me for this we’re gonna have to go uh pretty far into this guy so that

We don’t get any iron golem spawning down on the ground so 13 blocks should do it and I really should have thought of a way back down oh no okay we’re just gonna do this for now that’s my safety measure yep feeling safer already first and foremost I need some stalls where I

Can hold villagers in and a place to hold a zombie here in the center so zombie goes here villager villager villager and this one needs to actually go back one more block right I kind of forgot I need beds for these guys so back down we go drive enough string in

Safely about to now in place we can keep going with the sun setting next up I want to get a zombie here into the middle which should be pretty easy as we have the mob farm right there if we use the same walkway for the villagers

Zombies should try and walk into here I can flip that and he will fall right inside I just have to get one to follow me all the way up here oh boy hear some zombies inside so let’s go ahead and close this thing up for now clearing out

To move the villagers up top and I think using a composter workstation instead of waiting for the next night time is probably my best option oh you know what I should start this thing again because that’s very loud every time it scares me every time let’s make sure the villagers

Are being a little safe and giving them some break points we can always make more villagers but this is gonna be a little spooky I need one of you to come to this composter anyone you our first victim friend my nope nope no okay okay friend friend come on buddy yeah he

Villagers to the top of the farm and then creating another platform on top where the Golems are actually gonna spawn it now to help the monstrosity look even better I need to go get some water I can’t wait to have more iron think of how many buckets I can have

Because as always I need multiple okay back done we go I’m just gonna borrow this one it’ll be fine do you create an unlimited water source where now I need to fill it in along the back and that should get the Golems going all the way over here there’s the other villager

You’re still alive that’s amazing good job ooh a wheat trade right I turned it all into bread okay uh he’s worthless since I only have one lava source and that’s needed in the Cobble Gem and I don’t have Hoppers yet for now I’m gonna have to use campfires to kill these guys

It’s gonna be a little slow and then to make the Rings where they’re falling through let’s use Cobblestone slabs so I can upgrade to Lava later without worrying about it burning getting rid of my safety water for now we uh we have to build the killing chamber right there I

Didn’t line it up on this thing at all I want the Golems to land here so I have some space to put the hoppers in below those will eventually be campfires but I don’t want to burn my toes while I’m building this so for now I need to make

A giant box here out of cobblestone walls foreign make it all the way up but this I think I’ll do now I’m really hoping this beautiful box in the sky works out for me has a bit of an eyesore the only remaining thing you’re here to do is

Grab an ax and break down all of these temporary ones without killing my zombie buddy our first iron golem look at him land in it yes we’re getting iron this is a massive moment in the hardcore Skyblock World getting our first pieces of iron well I guess I already have

Gotten a few of them but this here is the first pieces of automated iron bring that to me we got four again again please it’s a start but it’s a slow Farm allowing some time for the iron farm to run and checking up on it to loot all

The iron I could get I spent some time clearing out the oak tree zone to gather even more logs for my next project as well wait where the heck did you come from there’s a cat no buddy I have no way of taming him I have no fish in this

World but I do have more iron come to flippy I’ve got 49 iron to my name now and if we take a bunch of these planks we can craft ourselves a bunch of chests for Hoppers first and foremost I want to update the Cobblestone gen so we can

Actually have some Hoppers to collect the Cobblestone and hopefully that means it should work now yes it is amazing I think what’s next most important here is setting up the Iron Golem Farm to be automatic so I don’t have to keep watching for more iron so we take some

Down the middle and on the sides it’s almost at full efficiency I just have to wait a little longer for more to Pile in with a load of the technical stuff out of the way for today I need to refocus on actually getting resources to build

With again so first planting all of my Oak saplings back down next up I want to use the 56 dirt I acquired from the two far Islands to create homes for the Birch saplings as well as the spruce saplings keeping 40 dirt to me I’ll have enough space for 20 Birch saplings and

20 Spruce saplings I’ve got less than two stacks of cobblestone to my name currently so taking iron from the iron farm I can craft myself a brand new iron pickaxe with this in the new cobblestone generator I have Gathering Cobblestone is an absolute joke now look at that I

Got some pants with all the cobstone I gathered I branched off the main SkyBlock island to create two more sections for chopping these new types of trees a few torches over here to help keep this one a bit safer birch trees are gonna go here spruce trees on the

Far side and our first one is grown just gotta chop all these trees down and hope that some saplings come along with them taking a quick peek at the iron farm and oh wow look at all that the Iron Golem Farm goal has been completed we’ll like

Gather some saplings I’ve got an idea for a massive upgrade here first it requires an iron sword goodbye stone sword you’ve served me well next I’ve got to clear all this out and I’ve already blocked it from above clearing out the last spider on the inside items

Keep getting stuck in the middle here so if I clear out all of these slabs I can build a double chest off to one side throw a stare above it so the mobs can’t get out but I can open it and then fill in Hoppers going across which has

Actually blocked my view inside didn’t think about that new plan poppers are able to pick up through a slab so instead I can just lower those down and put the slabs back on top every time I come through here and kill all the mobs the drop should be

Automatically picked up this is gonna help so much oh wait wait I forgot about the spruce settling please tell me there’s at least one sitting on the ground up here no it didn’t give up no it did yes oh good we can keep going another spruce tree ready to go and we

Chop it down three more saplings have been acquired I’m gonna space these out as much as I can to maximize the drops let’s try and jump start the birch trees over here too and get a few more saplings if I can that one tree gave five holy cow that gave five saplings

Look at where I started today I’ve already created a villager breeder an iron farm updated the cobblestone generator and built two more islands for tree farming with all this I can take some iron and craft up a full set of iron armor except our very got some cool

Pants so we’re keeping them now it’s time to advance even further with the Villagers for this I’m gonna need a lot more carrots three stacks of carrots should be a great start oh no don’t fall off the lights buddy hold on more iron for me have some carrots my little

Villager friends hopefully we’ll have a few more of these very soon wow that was quick so I’ve been doing a little thinking and planning with the iron farm up here unfortunately if I put villagers along this section which was the plan the Iron Golems might spawn down here

Because they’re a little too close which means the villagers need to be pretty far away from the farm and probably the Villager breeder for this I’d like to expand the base and create a large outer ring around the entire SkyBlock island specifically for villager training you

Know what going up one by one is kind of everything we’ve done everywhere else so let’s do a little something different ah new stuff up by every two blocks so fancy and I want this ring to be a touch higher than any of the other platforms

So right here should be good now it’s gonna be a test of how good are my Minecraft circles spending another two blocks over there and then I think the total platform is gonna be 5 five six seven it’s gonna go right through there uh we’ll fix that when we get there

That’s fine I’m just gonna kind of freehand this one and see where we can get throughout it just start and then we’ll go replicate it on the other sides this is all gonna be spawnable so we can hopefully get wandering Traders so I need a lot of torches recreating the

Same shape on the far side so I can get a better idea of where we land this is gonna take absolutely way too much Cobblestone to finish so here we are back again at the Cobble John the third side is now done as well and I

Think I can just link these up with a straight diagonal here yes we’ve done it my circle is yeah half decent well at least it’s consistently wrong so at least it’s consistent the fourth Far Side over there I will fix this mess later as I really need these trees to

Grow major beautification will happen after I have the resources you know build stuff with all three tree plots are nearly nearly filled out on saplings which is very nice from here I’d like to thicken up all of the Rings that we’ve created Our first segment of the ring is now ready to go few carrots later and we can continue it around the far sides Okay so the ends here are a little sharp for a circle but for free hand not bad I have two Cobblestone to my name currently so I think we work on beautifying this place with something else as I’ve been Gathering up a ton of spruce I can first create the railing

Going all the way up to the top here using the oak slabs to continue that along but when we transfer to this corner I want to move into some Spruce planks just because I can now to ensure this all stays mob proof on the railing and that our villagers can’t get out I

Want to take all of the oak planks I have and make a extremely stupid use of resources at the ends we’re gonna have some slabs then the rest of the way I want trap doors this way I can still jump up if I need to but the villagers cannot foreign

You know what this is actually looking pretty cool so far it’s Skyblock ugly cute and I kind of like it okay I put up moving the villagers for long enough and first and foremost I need to get the two up at the top out of there since there

Are zombie cured ones and then we’ll put two of the bottom ones back on top oh no look at that wow I don’t have any oak logs and I specifically need oak logs oh I guess I have to do it another distraction and uh put it off for a

While and chop some more tree Stone to get started I think we can come back over here and bring ourselves up by a few slabs and then create a standing layer for the villagers I thought as we have our job station right in here and we bring some Spruce logs up the sides

And planks going around the back for our villager to hang out stripping these guys down you keep it simple the roof can just come out like this and work its way back I just need to somehow get a villager in here first and foremost and

To keep them alive we do have access to a ton of iron now which means I can get a little fancy and make lanterns grabbing some composters and I think it’s time to grab our first test subject maybe I can get one of you to walk out

Emeralds trading once again for more Stone hoes and tossing them into the void this is gonna unlock a massive trade where I can grab iron that we get automatically for one iron for one emerald and with that we’ve unlocked a diamond ax with efficiency 2 and Unbreaking two that is a massive upgrade

Goodbye iron X and diamond pickaxe look at that with efficiency two or five emeralds before I can move the second zombie carrot villager into a trading Hull I need a lectern which is going to require leather to craft a book for leather I can either work with cows or

Hoglands and I’m gonna choose cows for now to get started on this it really wind about way of getting cows I’m gonna need some gold to craft some gold boots put those guys on and put my iron ones back in here as well as using my brand

New pickaxe to mine some more Cobble turning a ton of this Cobblestone here into some Cobblestone slabs and grabbing my leftover boats we can head into the nether as we know I can use piglens to get gravel which then we can make coarse dirt to give ourselves a bunch of stuff

To work with with a big old grassy field we’ll be able to spawn in all of the cows we could ever need would anybody like to get in this boat okay what if I move the boat closer will one of you get in the boat he’s in the boat excuse me

They give leather I don’t need cows but I do need to get rid of these goodbye clearing out the pickles one more time to collect all of the gold that it could get on I really should be keeping the gold swords but they’re filling up my inventory anybody have gravel to trade I

Would like gravel please well the piglets think about if they want to trade me gravel or not I decide to extend the back of the gold Farm out another five slabs before I run this thing too much with the unlimited Piggies running in at me I need an

Automatic collection system so I don’t have to go on the inside ever where some Hoppers running into a chest along these front blocks should do it oh we have another piggy in the boat cool I gotta figure out a better way to get rid of these dudes but let’s give this a shot

The gold Farm was working great until all of the respawns were taken by piglens these dudes are stealing all the gold that’s dropping off my zombies wait what okay we got a decent amount in here which gives us another five have some gold boys have some gold give me gravel

We want gravel think gravel nobody gave gravel I got quartz that’s a big win I have another if you give me what I want you get more gold no I didn’t want that at all but thanks yay Marcel sand I need to be extremely careful about not making

The pickles mad because they have crossbows and that could mean the end for me oh I hit one oh no oh we’re okay there goes another iron sword and still no gravel okay last three come on just anybody gravel please gravel we got it I’m out of here no I definitely am gonna

Need a lot more than 13 down the road but I’d like to borrow a few of these for now as finally in this hardcore world we have a way to double the amount of dirt we have by creating coarse dirt we can place all of this down in here

And use the hoe to turn it into regular dirt now animals can only spawn on grass blocks meaning that I need to take this grass line all the way over here and bring it to its final home at the end of this point where it’ll have its own

Island but first tech grass ooh one already grew so well we are literally watching grass grow I can take a little bit of the leather that we got grab my sugar cane turn this into paper to craft ourselves some books using the books we can make a bookshelf which can craft

Into a lectern I’ve got another trading Style built out over here for our lectern in the future with our librarian villager so we just need to bring him over I think I’m gonna need a few more emeralds to trade with him potentially so let’s grab a few more okay buddy it’s

Finally time you can come on out now just don’t try and push me off like your friend did follow me over here follow the Lecter look at it yes yes in the Box yay you do have the trade I’m looking for for bookshelves here so that we can

Get unlimited emeralds but I really want to see if I could get a good enchanted book with it too rerolling the trade and we’ve got oh my what that that’s the combo we get yes police I love you oh this is the best villager I’ve ever had

Breaking that down right there we can buy ourselves a mending book or two or three I was expecting to sit there for hours let’s see if we can get three blocks of iron to craft an anvil not that this is gonna really matter I think

I just buy new ones I kind of like the idea of having mending on my tools and Skyblock already it’s just like a little subtle Flex you know just that little flex and also I’m gonna be smart now and craft myself finally Shield much better next up we need to get the Villager

Breeder back up and running otherwise I can’t really do much else I currently have three villagers in there which means I can actually take one of them out and I’m thinking another way to get even more emeralds is probably the best bet right now Who wants to make two two this right this right here nope not back with your friends I like your spirit come on first one nope try it again they do say your brain works a lot when you’re sleeping so let’s try snoozing in any other bed than that one

There we go finally you get the villagerbreader back up and running yet again I need more carrots which means more farming a little under three stacks of carrots I’m Gonna Save a stack just for safekeeping and get the other two stacks to our two happy villagers happy

Villagers right so happy you know what I have an idea here if I take these Fortune One shovels combine them inside of the Anvil this year I believe can become my gardening shovel it gives us 10. carrots dogs are through the roof oh that’s gonna be good iron farm is up and

Running leading to a source of emeralds for the villagers and finally a way to duplicate dirt using gravel I have been at this for a while now and I am up to 57 gravel now I’ve got 13 more ingots that I can trade away maybe we can get

The full stack maybe yes we get the sick I like these Piggies they’re giving a lot of gravel the grass is moving a good way down here so I’m thinking I just start using the dirt off of the end of this side just to be safe I’ll leave a

Little extra here at the end but now we can craft a bunch of 48 course dirt yes I’ll definitely get a place to actually convert dirt later on but for now this will do returning the original dirt back to the spruce Farm we can once again

Craft the new dirt we just got back into coaster and convert this into even more dirt not sure what I didn’t think of just farming dirt on the Outer Circle I’m not using yet but this is going a lot quicker now there we go a full stack

Of dirt next up I would like to do a little bit of farming so I’m gonna take back some of that dirt and we’ll continue growing that as I can later also grabbing some shears right here because I need to start decorating the ugliness of Skyblock is starting to lose

Its charm I’m actually gonna need a lot more logs to this project too so back to chopping since I’m focusing on nice looking builds I gathered up the spruce trees too as next up I’d like to build an auto carrot Farm to help me not have

To spend all my bone meal on these guys grabbing a little more Cobble four slabs I think the perfect spot for this Auto carrot Farm is gonna be right next to the farmers back here where again I’m gonna raise it up a few more blocks so it’s above everything else the idea I

Have here is to kind of make a bowl where everything comes back down into the center where the mob farm is just a few slabs up to the top we can have a little border and then one two and three we’re gonna have the field starting in

Here that’s gonna be nine blocks across about this wide next filling everything in three more blocks around the entire square with the base platform in place the entire Center is going to be made out of dirt for the farmland and I want to make the rest look pretty good so

We’re going to have an area right in here that’s going to be for collection where I’m going to need a chest and a hopper pointing down into it next stripping all the logs down around the entire thing I’m gonna need to figure out a way to have one villager on top of

This slab and another villager here inside of the Farmland on the Middle where we have just enough dirt to make it around in the center we add water and a hoe down the rest of it for the Villager hanging at the end they can have a little Shack where we’ll just do

Some more strip Spruce and then planks going up on all the different sides for the farmer themselves I would like to bring in a bunch of oak leaves increasing the pillars on the corners some Spruce fences to connect it all so the Villager can’t break any Farmland

Like that I also want to add in some trap doors along the top it looks like a little bit of an outdoor fighting arena but it’s okay before I forget though I do need a composter in the center we will put a blank on top and some torches

Going around to help keep everything lit up in here which should help the crops grow a little faster throwing on a simple slap roof to the middle of this guy should help to kind of finish it off for now okay you know it’s not my best

But it should work I added an outside border with a little hedge wall here too and I think it’s looking much better next I actually need to reopen the top of this and build a track so we can get some mine carts running because I think

It’d be much easier to move villagers I do need to get this path down though so that’s a bit of a problem this might be able to work it’s gonna be a little wonk got a mine guard in here you know what wait I first and foremost need a hopper

Minecart and a piece of redstone to make a piston I knew this was too easy any witches nobody no witches oh wait I already have one in here here we go our first piston first I’m gonna need a track for the rails going all the way

Back to the farm go to the hopper mine cart on top of the hopper breaking this guy and taking the piston and flicking that in place the hopper Minecart is now inside the block and anytime our farmer villager tries to throw crops to the guy inside the hopper mine cart should pick

It up first now if I can lure a villager out here with the composter anyone you look like you want to do and craft another mine cart I believe I can slowly push him up even though I don’t have any powered rails just a little bit farther

Buddy you’re almost there and here we have our farmer look at your nice composter behind you pull yours oh I hate villagers so much sometimes now you walk down after I leave oh come on now you know what you’re trapped in here now have fun enjoy your life gotta find do a

Friend actually I realized he kind of needs carrots so I should go plant something American Plant and here the quicker this Farm should get up and running as they just need to grow and then he’ll do the rest and we’ve got ourselves a full field of carrots nice

With that sorted I need one more villager to jump inside the minecart yay subject number two has arrived and will be sitting very beautifully in the hole but you do get a roof over your head I just think that’s nice with that I’m done with the rail for now so I’m gonna

Clean it up because it’s making the island look even worse how the heck did you get out here buddy into the void with you your farm has been running for a little while and I want to see if we’ve gotten anything yes we’re making carrots don’t have anything to pillar up

On me but look at that that field is fully grown in there villager trades are set up iron farm is built Cobblestone gen upgraded villager breeder gold Farm in the Nether and now a carrot Farm oh boy we’re really set up here I’m way the heck out of time for this episode here
