Building with fWhip :: SHAPING TERRAIN #101 MINECRAFT Let’s Play 1.12 Single Player Survival

Hey everyone and welcome on back to building with whip so episode 101 that’s insane we’re in the triple digits now i know we just said the world tour of 100 and that was super awesome thank you so much to mythical sausage for joining me on that that was super fun

Having him but anyways it’s time to get back to some doing some work here so i’ve talked to you guys a little bit about kind of the end goal of this area and what it’s meant to be looking like and kind of how we want it all going and i

Want to start this off by just showing you guys a little bit of what the plan is from above what we can do so we have this row that is going to come through here i want to go ahead and bring it all the way through this area

Have it coming out all the way back into here kind of up this way and then it’s going to loop up and create almost like a heart shape and come back into this area and kind of loop up with this guy now that’s going to kind of create like

This rounder area right there and our nordic city is going to be sitting on both levels of the cliffs so it’s going to be kind of up back in this little canyon valley area that we’re going to make here so it’s going to be like a

Wall right there and then it’s going to be up the cliff and then the wall is going to go from there into the mountains wherever we end up doing those so i want to go ahead and start working on getting this lower area here finished out i think what we’re actually going to

Do to get started though is i want to go ahead and get this cliff line and the dirt line kind of going all the way back for as far back as we want to take it so as similar fashion for how we do these terrain videos of what we’ve been doing

So far it’s time to start off with another good old-fashioned time lapse so we’ll see you guys on the other side of this here welcome back so we got this whole wall here or cliff face i guess you could call it set up ready to go and we can start

Finally adding a lot of the extra details and actually placing down all the dirt in this area so we can have some space to build the town on quickly before we get into that though first i actually oh no i got a little bit dirt on me we’re good to go

Uh but yeah sorry for the notification there in the background that was me my work laptop but yeah so what we’re going to be doing here for the next little bit it’s probably going to be placing down a lot of dirt trying to make this area

Look a little bit more finished off so we can actually get to building here soon is my hope so we want to go ahead and really start bringing back all this dirt and kind of creating this valley feel going on that we want to do with um

So you can see as it’s going to be night time we have this kind of coming up that way i want to have the dirt here kind of coming up and kind of coming into a skinnier point off in this area we’re going to have to bring a road through of

Course but we’ll bring the road through later on but anyways while we’re here real quick just placing this dirt down i want to just give you guys a quick heads up so the day after this video goes out i think this is going out on the second

Or the third i i don’t know whatever but anyways the third fourth on fifth i am going to be gone in eastern washington for a little bit we’re going over to the wine country to go wine tasting for a little bit uh me and my girlfriend are

Headed over with uh my dad and it’s gonna be super cool we’re gonna go over and just kind of hang out go to a few of the local wineries and i’m super pumped for i’ve never been over there for that so i’m really looking forward to that um

And yeah i’m gonna be out for a few days and that’ll make the next week’s recordings a little interesting i’m hoping it won’t mess up anything with the schedule or anything like that i think i should still be able to manage and get four videos out they might be a little bit

Different style or something we might do a mining one and just go hang out for a bit and get some resources and chat for a bit but yeah so i just want to give you guys a quick heads up on that where we’re going right there uh for next week

If the videos are a little light or a little bit different that is why but yeah i came up here and i went ahead and laid out the base outline of where i want the river going so you can see it’s going to come up this way it’s going to split

Ignore this i need to get rid of that part but it’s going to split here off into two sections we’re going to have a little bit of a land strip in the middle and it’s going to come back together and it’s going to split off into another little skinnier land section right there

Don’t that’s not the perfect line but then that road is going to end up coming over across here and we’re going to have a bridge over the river and then that’s gonna go all the way over and loop up back down in the end with our little area that we

Have kind of set up where the road’s gonna eventually be coming across here and going all the way across that stuff that’s a long long ways away i’m hoping that by like episode 110 we can have this little area up here finished off so it can be looking pretty cool but

Anyways i think we’ve done quite a few time lapses recently where we’ve done a lot of dirt placing so i think i’m gonna go ahead and spend like a solid hour hour and a half in here just kind of getting the layout done for where i want

The dirt and kind of having the general shapes of it and then i’ll come back with you guys and then we’ll probably run time lapse mode like crazy and place in a bunch of dirt but we’re actually almost out of dirt again we’re down to four more shulker boxes and i gotta

Clear out a lot of this as we go forward and because as the mountains go back i want to be taking the dirt from here and basically moving it up in the sky because it’s really helping save the rest of the terrain because we’re going to cover this whole

Thing eventually anyways i’m just blabbing on at this point i’m going to go uh mine up some dirt hang out kind of get this place laid out here a little bit better and i’ll be back with you guys all right guys welcome back so before i turn around i just want to just

Want to take a quick second here to look at our statistics page so before we turn around before we see any of that go here go to stats go to blocks time use 141 000 almost 142 asmr 60 blocks off of 142 000 dirt placed now

Let’s go look at the planning that we have done just you can see a little bit right there poking around the corner just remember this is all planning we still got to fill in these lines look at this this is freaking insane i love the look of this from down below

You can see the height really sloping up so each one of those blocks stepping back is one block higher so you can kind of see the general idea of what the shapes gonna look like from up here but you really got a grand scale of this starting to really look like it’s

Sloping up into the mountains from the base so up here we’re gonna have kind of a flatter area then these lines are gonna start slowly going out that way and that way in that way and then they’ll kind of curve there and really start coming up because this is where i

Want the cliff to end we’re going to slowly kind of idle it out and just slowly kind of bring the dirt farther up it until it’ll eventually swoop around but anyways the good view besides you know looking off into the distance right there because that’s pretty dang good

View too but right down here just check this out you can kind of see almost what it’s going to look like when it’s all filled in look at that that is so freaking awesome imagine that all being grass and this is eventually going to be a town on this i

Love using a lot of height variation when we’re building up our towns and things like that so we can make them look super super cool but yeah before we went before we fill all this stuff in first i’m out of dirt this is the last dirt we have to our

Name that’s not placed on the ground right now so we got to go ahead and fix that problem and you can see all these shulker blocks no we actually have a little bit more we got two we got a little over a stack more but all of these guys over here are empty

This these are our last two shulker boxes of stone one’s empty one’s almost empty so we got a lot of resources that we need to start farming up and gathering too so plan for a resource gathering episode here in the near future anyways i’m gonna go ahead and

Finish planning out that area get the last of our dirt placed down and we’ll probably have to go mine some more because i do want to get most of that guy filled in in this episode so i’ll be back with you guys in a little bit all

Right guys welcome back so you can see above us we got these weird technical thingies that are kind of actually planning out where our landscape is gonna be going for what we’re gonna be doing for the rest of this i went ahead so far and we got a zombie down here i

Went ahead and killed off two of our shovels that we had we gotta go get those guys were paired up and we have these two shulker boxes filled and a little bit more you can see in here we got two shovels that are at five durability and 24 durability i’m going

To work on clearing out that this shovel right here and trying to just take out more and more away from it because i realize as this area is clearing out there’s a lot of dirt on here that we’re going to lose if we don’t grab this now

Before we fill it in so that’s what i’m kind of working on now doing a lot of the little dirt gathering and we’re falling through as i was going to talk about what’s up here but yeah so all these little scaffolding things you can kind of see them really

Starting to come together it’s going to have a lot of larger flat areas it’ll be really really cool i’m hoping when it’s finished you can kind of see here where it’s going to kind of flatten out right in there and then it’s going to start sloping up with a few larger flat areas

Like there we got one there there and then up here i’ll probably start to flatten out quite a bit i haven’t really figured out what we want to do with the mountainy border on that edge we’ll figure that out as we go but the view from down here that we looked at before

Is going to be even cooler especially from over in this area i went ahead and brought this stone up right here so we kind of have that ring that we’re working with this is gonna be a little bit of a mountain area right here and

It will lead to a small little gap area up here where we’re gonna have like another section of the wall i don’t have any dirt on me but we’ll probably bring this out to be like 7 long or seven wide or something right through here i think

That should be pretty good maybe we’ll have like seven along right through there so we have kind of a diagonal wall to work with make a little bit more interesting but check this out though this is really really cool i love the height variation that we have going up

Here you can see from way down here all this is really starting to come together if you look at where we can’t really see any of these lines it’s just so smooth going way up there into the distance it really looks like that’s drawn out really really far

Back there i’m thinking we’ll have some larger houses in the front and smaller ones there and smaller ones up top maybe with like the larger uh keep longhouse or whatever we’re gonna do up there whatever no idea what we’re doing for the town yet all i know is it’s gonna be somewhat

Of a nordicky style so that’ll be pretty cool because we got that guy right there that’s kind of nordic we’re going to build off that similar style there and go for the rest of this anyways i’m going to get back to farming up some dirt and i will come back with you guys

After i hopefully fill up a lot of this stuff so that should be pretty cool anyways i will see you guys in a little while all right guys welcome back so today we have a great site this right here totally cleared out and look at all that

All of these are completely full of dirt i believe that’s ten shulker boxes which means we are more than ready to go ahead and start filling in this area but before we do that i want to show you guys something i’ve actually did this a little while

Ago and haven’t quite shown it in an episode quite yet so i went ahead i’ve done a little bit of new texture work stuff going on you can see that’s japan’s new gravel there’s another there’s our old gravel so that’s kind of mixed in there now to

Make it look a little bit cooler a little bit better i’ve been starting to mix in a lot of japan’s new textures that he’s been doing while also keeping in a lot of the old ones and kind of just mix matching as we go through so this is his new uh grass path

Uh textures i actually really really like this one i think it’s really cool you can see the gravel in there again we got a lot of the other stuff uh the new spruce leaves texture pack stuff is in here that’s all in there looking really freaking awesome i love it i’m really

Happy with all this going we got the new birch leaves in here we just got a lot of the new stuff going on and it’s starting to look really cool we’ve had the old oak leaves in there for a long time the ferns and all that good stuff

We had a few of them but i’ve been starting to add a few of them i think we’re going to go more in depth into those guys as we get into another episode here in a little bit we’ll probably look at everything that i’ve ended up changing because there’s a lot

Of new things uh the new download is out right now i believe it’s updated on in the download in the description if it’s not let me know and i’ll go ahead and make sure that’s updated that’s what i want to show you guys right there before we get

Into this stuff but wow just check this out look at this as it’s loading in the back there it’s so grand feeling i can’t wait to start building a town on this i mean this thing alone right here would look really cool if we turn it into like

The forest like what we’re doing over there but with a town there oh i think it’s gonna be freaking amazing so what we’re gonna do here is we’re gonna kick this off into time lapse mode for the second time in this episode as we commonly are doing two here in these so

Really cool from above but down here on the ground it’s freaking amazing just kind of walking up this whole area and we can see all the dirt kind of turning into grass as it goes and i think it’s looking really really awesome i love actually looking up it is really

Grand but also going back down towards the lake you can just see that height elevation that we were able to accomplish through just terracing all this terrain going way way up into the sky and smoothing around coming all the way down to this area and i’m really

Pumped to get starting to work on this upper area up here with the rivers and all that stuff going forwards but yeah this is looking really awesome but we’re gonna have to end the video off here for today i do have an idea of what i want

This town to look like i’m thinking like the central road’s gonna come up and we’re gonna have a bunch of like little arms branching off of it off to either side going all the way up through it then going up the sides we’re gonna have spruce trees and then some and on this

Side as well so we’re gonna have both sides of spruce streets then some dot in the middle making it look super forested and we’ll bring in a little bit of snowy features to it and turn this whole upper area into more of a snowy tundra type place where there’s little bits of snow

In all over the place kind of like it’s winter is like just now coming or something like that and then the tops of the mountains will have their snow on them and everything it should look pretty freaking cool once we get there but guys let me know down below what you

Guys think we should be adding adding into this area what we should do especially with that rock over there i’m trying to figure out how we want to kind of level that guy out and level it out because i want to come up a little bit then have the
