Alrighty welcome to a little tutorial from minecraft education edition on the ipad what i’m going to show you today is how to add a custom skin to minecraft education edition when you are running it from an ipad so if you’ve seen my other video it Shows you how to add a custom skin to minecraft education edition using your computer a little bit different on an ipad a little bit of a trick to it so let’s have a look so you can see i’ve got minecraft education open here at the moment the custom skin that i’ve Chosen is this little green guy from the among us game so i’m able to use that skin when i play minecraft on here so minecraft education edition it’s not like the full minecraft it’s not as easy to add a custom skin as it is in minecraft itself but here’s how You do it and here’s how you do it on an ipad so let me switch to the web browser the first thing you’ll need to set up a custom skin is you actually need a png file of of a particular skin so i find minecraftskins.com they have loads that you can download And i had a quick scroll before and saw a spider-man one here so i’m going to use this skin the spider-man skin in minecraft education edition so i really like this size nice and easy open up there’s the skin i want you can see on the right hand side here the Download button so i’ll just click that downloader it says do you want to download yes i do so i tap download and it saves it onto my ipad now one of the problems that the ipad has is when it saves it onto the ipad by default it won’t let you Install it into minecraft so you have to use an app you have to download an app called documents so you can see the icon here and in the description on the video here and on the instructions on my website i’ll put a link to this particular documents app it’s a free download To enable you to do this so if i open up the documents now this is a file a file browser if i just go to recent where’s it gone files there it is there so it’s gone to files and downloads let me just go back So when i click browse and i can tap downloads you can see there that’s the png file saved so by default it’s saved into my icloud drive this downloads app sorry this documents app is really useful because it will actually put the downloaded mc pack into minecraft education edition which the default File app on the ipad won’t do so let me just go through that again and close that go back here so documents remember i’ve downloaded the png file so if i go documents uh will it sharpen recent no okay so some files and downloads so they’re sitting there All right i’ve got the png file but i have to create what’s called an mc pack file to upload that into minecraft education edition so to do that there is a there’s a form on my website that you can go to this one here the mcpat creator Again i’ll put the link to this in the description but scroll down and touch on the page minecraft skin pet creator so here we go we just need to fill out this form so um now what skin do i hope this spider-man so i’m just going to call the skin itself spider-man Uh the template name i’ll just leave it the same no need to be extra creative here version number doesn’t matter i’ll just say 1.0 choose file okay so click choose file i’m going to browse and by default it goes into recent so there it is there so i’ll choose choose that Image and then click submit now when i click submit it’s going to create that mcpac file and it’ll ask me if i want to download it so click submit do i want to download yes download okay so i’ve downloaded that mcpeg now if i go back to docus files All right so there’s our original png of the spider-man and that you can see it’s just the skin kind of exploded that’s just how these things work and then i’ve got next to that the spider-man mcpac file which i created now if i tap that okay it says can’t open So here’s the trick we say open in another app tap that and one of the options we get is minecraft education edition so if i tap that there we switch over to minecraft and it starts the import for that mcpac file import started successfully imported spider-man So now if i go into the skin settings there’s my current one for among us these are all the default built-in ones but down the bottom down here will be spider-man so i can choose that guy to be my custom skin in minecraft education edition on the ipad So there you go that’s it there i’ll put any links in the in the um description as as normal but if you go to my website cdsmith.com just click on the minecraft category and you’ll get this tutorial and any other tutorials around minecraft education that i’ve created if As always that was useful give it a like give me a comment it’ll help the video get found a bit better thanks a lot Video Information
