What’s up everybody my name is cap the everyday gamer and I’m going to show you how to use the new hatches added in 1.6 of the game to create a trap door death pit see I have my going into lava now I dug out this little hole here so if you Wanted to put you know your main home in an area like this and then make it as a place for mobs to fall into this is what you do now I’m using the fly mod just so I can navigate easier now drawbridge can only be two blocks wide one two like This they can be as long as you want so you can make it however big as you want to but only two blocks wide now what you do is just dig a hole as big as whatever size pitch you want see I have mine going up this way you need to actually Put two more in there okay now what you’re gonna need to do is after you get your hatches here you’ll fill in the hole like this now you got to have a block on both sides so see right now we’re good to go I can turn off the Flying and I’m good to go on these you can right-click it it’ll open and close now you’ll get your redstone Sark all the way around it now this oops need that there now this is the sloppy way to do it if you wanted to use a series of gates and hidden Repeaters and all that other stuff to make it look cleaner then you know by all means go for it this is just a demonstration and I’ll show you what I mean so after you uh after you have your gate in a hole the size of the trap that You want see mines only four by two make sure you have an area just one block wider than the door is so like this since you can’t place blocks right on top of where roads don’t is you’ll place the barrier right above it all the way around not there Okay so you got your whole the same size at that’s what they’re now I’m using a stone pressure plates but you can use wood as well and just place them around the outside and voila turnouts flying’s you can see see right there the door is Open so anytime you think steps on it if they were to walk towards the light down here basically it would open the door and see you there you can see it closed again well then close and that’s how you make a little trapdoor and then if You’re just bored to tears then you can wait till nightfall go down into your little pit here and wait for the magic to happen I went ahead and put stone all the way around mine one so I don’t actually catch on fire by the spark Shoot now the lava and two that way if it’s a spider and it comes in at just a little bit of an angle it won’t land and just instantly be able to come out and get me so anyway I hope this little tutorial helps you guys out and as I Said this is the most basic way to do it there’s a more complex ways you could do it so that you can’t see the Redstone and all of us hidden which ended up using a lot more redstone and probably some torches there may be a few different kinds of gays or repeaters I Don’t know this is just the basics so hopefully you guys like it and I will talk to you later Video Information
