Hello everybody and welcome back to the vaults we have a very big update on our hands today shall I do a little bit of a patch noting I think I shall all right so what we have got here today is we have got um it has been Our intention since the

Very start of alpha to enhance the pickaxe system making a fifth of alter’s gameplay more in update seven we have aimed to do that um all initial values have had minimal testing uh and mega tweaked over the coming days we have started quite conservative with the theory that we’d

Rather buff than Nerf old pickaxes will remain in-game as Legacy items but they can no longer be crafted or repaired additionally the old modifier Immortal no longer works um yeah so uh we have gone away from the singular pickaxe to the Vault tool players can craft a base tool of their

Liking pickaxe shovel Hammer sickle in the new tool station block okay so we need to make a tool station there are seven tiers of Vault tools they are gated behind your Vault level higher tier means more repair slots and more capacity Jewels are uh still used to enhance the

Ball tool to your liking however we went from 11 joules to 10 million 66 329 joules because we thought it was cool joules can be found in gilded chests from Level zero Jewels can be crafted slash re-cuts in the vault Forge Jewels come in four different Rarities chipped flawed Flawless perfect the Rarity

Determines the modifiers they roll I assume that my current jewels in the system probably don’t do anything now Jewels also have a size implicit the bigger the size the more tool capacity it will consume when applied and can we break pickaxes anymore um living gilded ornate and wooden chess

No longer care about the vanilla break type axing picking shoveling farming Etc instead the player will need an affinity of the correct chest type on their tool for mining speed and efficiency to take effect um so we’re gonna I’m gonna have to make the block and just kind of figure things

Out because I don’t know that I fully understand and um I think we have to run a vault and get gilded.js before we can even really start to do anything um so yeah okay so uh added new Fast and focus possibilities added a new difficulty fragged mob steel double

Damage compared to Impossible I believe that this is one of the local difficulty things this isn’t a modifier for the vault it’s just like if you want to set your game to be double damage impossible you can set your damn it you can set your game to that difficulty if you’re

Playing like single player on a server with other people I think that’s what that is um a brand new POI system affecting four common rooms these pois have um I I saw a little bit on a skull stream earlier it’s just like basically new pois that are more built into the room and

Um so we’ll check them out and then added legendary bounties these bounties are activated by finding a lost bounty in a treasure room legendary bounties yield much more rewards than normal bounties but the task is rolled from the same pool as normal bounties so you have

To go into a treasure room and then you get a better Bounty um reward Yi without having to do much like a different task but they are not set up yet so there’s disclaimer don’t do it yet um mending doesn’t work inside the Vault anymore so we can’t mine room pickaxe

Uh base costs for Spirits was heavily lowered to put more focus on the gear and items recovered rather than the player level um okay so Rez has got cheaper interesting or at least the base cost maybe the items themselves are more expensive but yeah treasure rooms refocused removed

Any modded block the only modded items that remain is backpacks and pick a rings R.I.P the dream of ever getting a mechanism wind generator rip um change of all gear to roll from common plus to Omega instead of Scrappy plus to Epic the weights of getting better Rarity is the highest loot table

In the game um added jewels and the chance for these jewels to be better cut than any other loot table in the game added a common chance for netherite ingots uh changed roles from 12 to 18 to 14 to 14 data more consistency and more effect from item quality and Rarity

Quantity and Rarity I assume um there is still very big Variety in what you can get and some treasure chests will still be garbaggio is that using my word um okay added lost Bounty is a chance to treasure sand reach trolls on Idols have been decreased reach is dead as a talent

Um again it was because of I guess being able to outreach spawner spawn Zone which we weren’t at but I guess Pete was at so um we’ll have to get new pickaxes and stuff like that um update a recipe for survival spawner and I guess that’s pretty much it

For the stuff there you go that is the patch notes mainly the pickaxe stuff so was it tool station that’s you know what I was expecting to have to pay an Omega POG or something like that I am impressed not bad not bad at all on

The cost now where are we gonna put this probably better to put it down here for today just because otherwise um I need to use this left actually no this pickaxe is gonna suck now because it’s not going to be able to break chests inside the Vault

Um so the only thing it’s good for actually is just breaking blocks at this point I think I just need to make a little bit of space here yeah uh let me I’ll put it over here but let me do let’s put um Okay so interesting whoa

Requires level okay so melded so it gets better and better as you go huh so I assume that the further down the better it is right so there is a thing that we could do um which had 24 volts uh there’s a thing that we could do which is you know how I

Have said that um it’d be you know I I don’t like the fact that when you vein mine like a gilded chest or you mine a gilded chest or something like that as soon as you’re done breaking it it just you break 50 blocks behind the

Chest so there is a thing that you can do where you make like a sickle or something like that right and you give the sickle the ability to break like the wooden chest the ornate chest the Gilded chest and that’ll be basically all that it can do

Um and it won’t be able but then when you finish breaking the chest it won’t overshoot and like break everything around it so I honestly kind of wanna do that but I think that’d be cool but anyway um let’s see so what is the difference between oh they all basically cost the same

Okay the same cost for anything um apparently wind generators are still there iscal forgot to add you mean remove or add that they’re still there not removed from the pack I don’t know anyway um let’s see I’m not I don’t think I’m terribly tempted still to go into treasure rooms

Um it’s hard to tell whether it’s a buff or a Nerf to treasure rooms I’m not entirely sure uh it kind of just sounds the same I’m still not terribly inclined to go into them and spend the echo so um but I mean I guess you can get an

Omega guaranteed piece of gear which is cool so okay uh do I wanna okay so I don’t know maybe I want to try to craft one of these sickles but like my jewels that are in the system here I assume are just useless they probably don’t do anything now um anyway anyway okay

Um so I don’t know like what do we get I guess I just have to make one what should I make to start with do you guys think should I just make a pickaxe or should I try making the sickle and doing this like targeted thing uh all five dude that’s wildly expensive

Okay I’ll just try I’ll just try a pickaxe first and then see kind of where it lands so Driftwood and then I also need can I over stack in this thing please tell me I can overstack good good good um so Driftwood and then wudo dick silver

That is going to be a very expensive thing for us to do because all this silver is we don’t have much of that at all like this stuff is really rare to find um uh sickle would be kind of sickle wouldn’t it yeah okay anyway I guess Frick dude

I can’t even make a stack of this stuff it’s like crazy dude Prometheus thank you for the five sub gives very much appreciated you will be in the Gladiator Arena um oh you get more when you recycle gems you don’t use okay that is good

Um how about our wudo good thing we have a decent amount of ore kind of in reserve here that is good I should just use all this up basically um you guys are probably gonna have to guide me through some stuff here because I’m not gonna fully understand it I

Think today is probably a good day to maybe put some gilded Catalyst to use though because otherwise we’re like not gonna have anything that we can do um so gilded wild gilded oh you know what gilded chunky could be good or gilded triple chunky and gilded one Furious Maybe

That could be a good one to run I think that’ll be good um and then we try to hit up like basically as many gildeds as we can and I don’t know if we’ll be able to use our item Rarity gear or not but we’ll see

We shall see okay so let’s see what we got here um I could Phoenix it too so yeah okay so we got wudadick in there and then we need Vault alloy it’s a good thing I’ve been saving my Vault alloy I guess and who to Dick a lot of wooted dicks Happening Here

Um well yeah I think we’re like 400 Alloys so I guess some of that can go in and then the wudo dick mass is these how many was it I don’t remember but I’ll just make like six of them it was four okay well let’s do two more then okay

Oh yeah safe Zone would be a good one to apply on that for sure for sure I’m with you there but then we wouldn’t get Phoenix which is a little scary but also to even safe Zone would be nice it would be very nice I concur

Um you can make a Paxil once you get the right gems to put on a pickaxe shovel okay but a Paxil is not gonna be able to break all the chests that’s different right like you need a different modifier I think to be able to break every kind

Of chest like a Paxil would basically just be good for the Overworld if I’m not mistaken which Um hmm all right well it’s going to be interesting we’re going to have to run a vault basically but yeah okay Affinity Jewels got it so let’s do that and see what happens so it has four repairs nine mining speed and it has picking well so how do I know like um

How do I know like how many joules I can add to the thing where does that come in huh oh capacity 250 okay got it got it got it so there’s no sockets there’s no breaking it is just capacity is like the only thing that I need to worry about

Oh I need Vault gold let’s see um I guess I’ll put some in here what I did not want to do that I did not want to do that I wanted to put you into here okay so then I’m gonna do the sickle and I’m gonna like see if we can work

Towards that as a thing hell I don’t what what is go huh what are you doing I want the sickle there we go that was weird reaping okay plus reaping I don’t really know what that does probably just Harvest stuff in a big AOE or something like that but anyway Um so the reason why I am doing this is because I want to use a sickle to mine chest but we need the affinities is there any reason for me to bring in this pickaxe to the first Vault because I I feel like there’s no real reason to

Bring this in actually there’s no real reason to bring either of them in until I have Jewels right um level 60 is the next one no no it’s not no it’s not level 65 is the next one um it’s ways away it’s a ways away oh mine’s wait does this thing not work

On mining spawners only the new pick can minus oh my God so mining spawners is going to take ages bro what what do heck I gotta figure out what to do with my skill points as well Um wait so this uh can old pickaxes not properly mind spawners so all the jewels are still listed here but I I guess it’s just the ones that you get out of vaults are not listed um hmm how do you wait how do you craft jewels

Uh oh just Jewel no that’s just in a loot table um a hammer mine’s three by three okay got it yeah I don’t I don’t know about this who texted the old picks don’t have the tag so do do they do anything other than I guess mine some stuff in the Overworld

So I need to do efficiency I guess I just need to do the stuff that I would normally do here Unbreaking and silk touch on the new pickaxe Vault Forge can craft oh okay let me do I guess I need to do um efficiency And Unbreaking on the pickaxe as well all right so the Vault Forge can craft oh it requires gemstones which I don’t think I have uh I do not have these you need to find these in the volts I would assume or by scrapping other things so I still need

To go and do that Um anyway nobody knows I guess on that um Unbreaking efficiency and silk touch no not another anvil rip actually should die And then efficiency and Unbreaking How the frick did that thing only have two charges getting doo-dooed on here oof um oh yeah I checked the black oh there’s a jewel that’s that seems extremely expensive I don’t think I will I don’t think I will yikes uh all right by the way let me just uh complete a

Crystal here that one’s kind of been sitting for a little wee bit and then nice and Seed that that’s cheap that’s cheap bro is that gonna be like do am I gonna find like one inside of a gilded Catalyst run but like I need to find I need to get three different gems

On this thing in order to get the ability to mine wooden ornate wait do I need a specialization for coin piles too oh is there a coin pile there is a coin pile specialization wait I’m gonna find lots why would I if I’m gonna find lots why would I spend 500 on this

Iskcon got 15 in a run with a cube room oh okay there’s wooden living gilded ornate coin is it possible to fit everything onto one pickaxe I guess the priority is Commons really because everything else we’ve manually little Commons and coins I should say Commons and coins is what we want most I

Would assume I don’t know what it’s like is it what’s it like mining coins now if you don’t have a coin Affinity is it terrible um hmm it sucks so a dragon room without coin Affinity is is like complete doo-doo now okay this is gonna take some real getting used to then um

Got it okay okay well um so here’s what we’re gonna do we are going to build a gilded Crystal now good thing I haven’t uh good thing I have not um used up my gilded Catalyst because this is important all right so I am thinking maybe triple chunky and

One Furious or something like that is probably a reasonable balance oh unless I could get gilded trapped or something god dude my uh my dream stone is is not in a good good place but let’s do safe zone so um what is it called safe Zone oh yeah the uh eye of amorous

Wait I have one of these right I do already have it cool I can’t Phoenix if I’m gonna do eye of Everest that’s the only thing it’s the only issue okay anyway so um here we go and I’ll ask if others want to join you know there’s no no

Reason not to have some more folks in here uh okay can you add wait can you add uh this after the crystal exhaust or no like I have to basically right oh no you can’t because now I’m thinking back to when Pete and Abe were

Doing the 9x Prismatic it was like do I want to risk adding another thing or okay so I might not be able to get well we’ll see how it goes I may not be able to get this applied if I get unlucky so we’ll see I’m gonna just I’m gonna run quickly

Save the other catalysts because we can always do another Crystal Run in the future and add more gildeds to that so it’s like versus we don’t versus if I do it again then maybe it just exhausts the five but I get a bunch of traps which would kind of suck um

Okay I’ll ask would you go for 5x gilded or apply loser’s dream hmm oh so what is this uh how much more gilded is it it’s 25 more gilded hmm well if that is the case I don’t know let’s see gilded another chunky Gilder well I don’t really want wild I think wild

Leggings to get more implicit armor in the hopes that I can actually uh you wear them all the way through because like these are reasonably good to the point where I think I could wear them through the vaults um how much health would I lose I still

Have my six Health there I don’t lose any health there I get more Health there I lose the four Health there but how many I have enough Xboxes I think to do it I have a seven and I can make more um yeah probably it might not be the worst

Study in the world the only bummer is we lose we don’t have Mana region at all like no Mana region so I don’t know well hopefully we don’t need to heal too much let’s give it a try and see what happens foreign cool that was nice that was very nice they’re

More protective than my current base roll on my pants cool um alrighty then let’s what do we need to add we need to add aqua affinity then don’t have Aqua Affinity do I have any respiration I do I’m gonna also need to oh God I can’t go to the freaking End to restock

Um I will ask everybody if they want to join I’m just I’m not ready yet I gotta I gotta make sure everything is all set up foreign I am very glad that I didn’t spend all my gildeds before this patch though all right so

In there for now I’m gonna ask if I can just run this pickaxe with my or run this Vault with my previous pickaxe and or if I need to have something else on me I don’t know dude um we’ll see if the new Vault pickaxe that doesn’t have any modifiers is

Better than I’ll run with that but anyway so for gildeds we want to be running with this one I think right I think horde is going to be better for gildeds it’s the ornates that uh are better with um item Rarity and then okay so I just need yep and then I need

These ones are gonna be running um do I need to repair these that’s uh probably not 250 Dura and I’m gonna take in the chromatic powder so yeah we’re probably okay dude oh Jewels are better with Rarity because it’s an epic item okay then cool noted I will get the treasure magnet

Okay and then let me just go to h-bomb really quick oops it’s gonna be a real bummer not being able to reach for these chests when I’m looting them though oof I’ll have to see if Pete recommends my taking any other uh talents before we go into

Repair boots since you’ve chunky well no chunky doesn’t affect damage chunky is their health so like chunky doesn’t make it scary uh Furious would make it scary um let’s see okay so um we’ll do that book and what are we doing efficiency amending uh Unbreaking silk touch a looting

What else respiration very good and then aquafinity anywhere oh yeah we should add some wait do I have feather falling on my boots I do okay Aqua very cool foreign And I think that is Everything E I’ll still bring in the other armor just uh in case I end up getting doo-dooed on um but otherwise I guess we will switch over to this stuff hey I end up with more Health my Mana region will be in pain and I have significantly less

Armor my defense is 79 not it’s not terrible it’s not terrible could be worse and we’ll run with our Shield definitely uh okey dokey I wonder what the next wall crystal is going to be not terrible not terrible Mana region on idol uh I am me and I don’t have an idol that

Has Mana region and um yeah I don’t know I don’t know I think it’ll be okay we’ll be okay run Mana Shield solves the Mana region Mana Shield costs Mana yeah I don’t think that’s how it works pretty sure that Mana Shield drains Mana to give you uh protection I think that’s

The opposite of what we’re looking for here um it redirects a per uh wait redirects a percentage of incoming damage to your Mana pool doesn’t that that that drops your Mana I’m pretty sure that drops your Mana instead of you taking damage so the opposite effects opposite effects um okie dokie

So any other stuff now that look at that hole there where reach no longer exists yeah I could uh I could do if I unspect a lot of stuff I could learn a lot of crit strike it’s honestly tempting at this point but I don’t know

Oh yeah I need to unspec these I absolutely need to unspec this now that I’m um not gonna be uh now that you can’t do many inside the Vault um so so long to this one unlearn and unlearn now I have 18 skill points Hunter go Max Hunter with 14 points

Oh boy and then uh my vein mine is also like really high right now I think we can scale that back a little bit um let me get some regrets going I don’t think I need maximum vein mine at the moment oh spec into gilded um hmm

It’s not the worst idea in the world and not the worst idea I already have freaking antenna these things I will bring it back down to four all right okay now we have 24 unspent skill points um okay let’s see what we got here so Stone skin reduces knockback um I’ll do I I will do a level in Hunter is there even our use in doing Hunter

Get there’s so many around here that it’s there’s so many around that it’s like if I’m not seeing it then I should just go to the Next Room unbreakable is it’s so it’s seven percent it’s so bad bro I’d be better off taking crit strike for those costs

And then just like I will defeat mobs quit more than seven percent quicker and I will take less damage as a result I genuinely think that Unbreaking is a bad idea um a really bad idea yeah I don’t know dude because if mobs die faster 50 faster

Potentially then it does it’s like way better um I don’t know I could do two levels in crit strike I could do two levels and I’ll have eight skill points left over you know I’m going to ask Pete if he would spec into Hunter for a vault like this if it’s like worth

Um yeah I just think unbreakable is kind of knockback hasn’t really messed me up sure it’ll allow if I got 100 knockback res then I’d be able to pillar up and I guess you know not get bricked which is kind of nice but it hasn’t really been play style so

This will increase my DPS significantly and I can unlearn if I need to in the future I’ll just do it I’ll just do it there we go I’m 50 crit striking now boy oh boy and now I will uh wait for the remainder to hear from Pete oh you know

What is it worth doing oh it’s probably frog dude frog is we actually want to run frog here don’t we because um it’ll just will move around quicker and Pete was saying if you’re in a fast like looting Vault then absolutely uh frog it up because you’ll save time so yeah dude

Unless other do I have any other things um trinkets I still have this 50 Max Mana uh I don’t know or I could run windar’s hourglass instead of chromatic powder hmm do we want to get an extra two minutes and 30s oh no but it’s not even gonna be

Useful on me because I don’t have all the relics set up and they’ll have that much more time anyway maybe I could give the windows hourglass to somebody else I give it to somebody else if they’re yeah maybe I can do that that’s probably a good idea I’m sure somebody will be

Receptive to it and um okay cool well I think that’s pretty much it um let’s see bring three more gold just to have and let’s hope that I don’t die in here otherwise it’ll be a very very disappointing time all right wait trinket costs have changed I didn’t see that on the patch

Notes what a heck um 64 volt alloy 20 24 extraordinary Alexandrite two drink it’s great it takes two trinket scraps to make a new trinket what it takes two of them 48 volt gold 12 volt diamond blocks what the heck is this trash dude I can’t I’m never gonna make a trinket again

Hello hi I just got informed of a new trinket cost so now I’m never gonna make another trinket yeah the trinky class um you know a little high but you know we’ll see we’ll see how it goes a stack of alt alloy 12 volt diamond blocks 48

Gold but to buy a res basically 24 so hold on extraordinary Alexandrite is is that’s 16 Alexandrite right so that that’s what what’s 24 times 16 it’s like over 300 Alexandra what and in two trinkets gray I like how it’s gone almost 100 Alexandra

God why who has the who can what who can do that yeah yeah I don’t know I don’t know uh alrighty then um cool well I’m really hoping that I don’t die in this one because I’m bringing uh I’m running my looters armor but if it does

Get dicey I want to bring my normal armor in and then I’m running Grog and chromatic powder so if I die it’ll be everything oh gosh mm-hmm oh oh my god dude guys the Unbreaking skill does not apply to trinkets they’re just they’re just one use per Vault if we feel like we

Still work on gilded and on common chests and stuff the way that it did before just telling me it won’t work that way though okay oh yeah yeah I won’t why does the melded pick just look like a stone pickaxe dramatic they get rid of all the chromatic ingots

Huh I have no chromatic ingots so is it even worth my bringing the old Legacy pickaxe into the Vault then oh I can break blocks I guess okay so can the new one so all right yeah I have no chromatic ingots like at all whatsoever [ __ ] does somebody want to run with my

Watching abstreams you should be lucky that they even have a soul value that what has the sole value oh God the old jewels oh I mean I I only have um honestly eight of them apologize or six of them no one no one’s going to get anything back um

Why is nobody gonna get anything why because Wu tax doesn’t give me anything back so if I don’t get anything back no one’s getting anything back got it got it uh what’s the best thing to make right now I mean you can do the uh melded

I I don’t know how any of this works provide the requested materials melded altaright melded okay wait should I make a pick or a sickle or a hammer or what my child was telling me not to make anything until I get some Jewels because that’s kind of how you’ll know what can

Go on what and you need to be able to break spawners yeah yeah I literally made a chromatic iron one just like really yeah just a basic one for now before yeah what I made the melded one what the frick there’s no difference in mining speed

Well the Melt is better though yeah yeah but why use it if they’re why use it until I get jewels you know that’s a good question why would you is it wait nine mining speed nine might oh my god dude yay Cool let’s make sure I’m making a new one chromatic iron okie dokie I still put on breaking on it or something if you guys are old angels from the black market yet uh I dude why would I why would I spend 500 Souls when I could just run a vault true okay okay

True and people were saying that they they thought that no no no so people in chat were like 500 is a really good deal I’m like what 500 for one Jewel that does not do nearly as much as before good deal it’s still pretty good I got a
