Okay so I’m doing a follow-up video to my minecraft performance video the first issue was that I had vsync turned on so you couldn’t see the true framerate that the surface pro was running at I keep in mind this is a core i5 Edition 256 Gigabyte SSD so I was I was only showing the 30 frames per second because it was be sinking to that rate but it’s really going at you know 50 I look sometimes over 60 even at full resolution right now so 45 frames a second after just Turning it on you know getting about 75 frames per second looking up at the sky and you know a low of about 45 so I’m just gonna let this run for about an hour and see if it starts to thermally throttle that was kind of the big Question also you know as wow it gets pretty good performance but how long are you able to to run that effectively and I’m still even it plugged in because I feel like if you’re gonna be playing games probably shouldn’t be running that off the battery anyways personally and you know I wouldn’t it’s It’s pretty high drain on your your battery I might do a test if people really want to see that but I wouldn’t you I wouldn’t do that normally you know if you go somewhere to play game usually have an outlet so I’m not too worried about that personally so I’ll just let This run for about an hour and then we’ll look at it back at the well and see where it’s at in terms of frame rate after it starts to throttle maybe okay so we’re back I do see a little bit evidence of throttling here you know we First turned this on if I looked at the sky I would get you know about 85 frames a second now it’s about 45 and it’s going through this grass and things it’s down to about 23 frames a second down from 45 so yeah it’s taking a hit On on thermal throttling the fan is running you can hear it slightly but really the fan is I mean almost sounds like a little whisper I mean it’s not a loud fan by any means at all okay so the other thing I wanted to do was take a Look I’ve got in the background some temperature monitoring software that we can take a look at so all in all it is it is appear to be thermally throttling although still pretty playable just not as good as it is when you first turn it on fresh you know took a hit from going About normally you know the lowest I ever saw well when we first heard this song was about 45 frames per second now that’s hitting you know 27 or so so if I back out of here I’ve got core temp loaded up here you can see the well the CPU is not even too Hot at 60 degrees Celsius usually you can see those things up to 90 but it may be the actual graphics chip that’s that’s doing the throttling not the CPU so it’s kind of interesting but anyways hope this video helps you out making decisions and thanks for watching the Channel please subscribe and we’ll see you later Video Information
