Hello everybody is Scott Amado and this is going to be another video that’s answering a question from the FTB Reddit and what we’re gonna do here is this guy has the FTP revelations vibe pack and he wants to disable cheats so he’s not tempted to give himself items okay but When he does it through open tool and then when he goes back in he can’t still set the game-mode so whatever he was tested from that all right but I’m gonna show you how to do it permanently if that’s your situation or the more common situation that you download a map and You want to enable cheats so let’s first look at the problem here we have this new world when you create a new world if you’re in game mode survival under more world options you’ll see allow cheats and that is off by default for a survival world for a creative world it’s On by default okay so if you created the world in creative then your flag for allow cheats will be set if you did it in survival then you would have to choose it to have it on and if you didn’t choose it then it wouldn’t be on Alright but what I want to show you how to change it permanently and what cheats does is it allows you to set game rules and like set the time of day and the weather but also you could give yourself items you could change game modes like creative and survival and stuff like That alright but I’ll show you how to to change it for a world that it’s already been created either one way or the other alright so what you want is you this application called MBT Explorer this is the link I’ll put it in the description it’s for Windows or Mac and here’s the Download links on the page and they’re still active at sussel Linux as well the Windows version work for Linux it’s a java application so you could just download it here and these don’t have any ads or anything so you’re good to go and then there’s the github page you Need to go to that alright so once you’ve downloaded then decompress it or whatever you need to do and run it as a java application so here’s the npt explorer alright and then what you want to do is you want to go out you want she’s open then browse to The folder where you save is if it’s a twitch launcher or something that’s going to be in your instances folder the name of your profile and down into the saves if you if it’s in your regular minecraft directory then you could choose open minecraft saves folder and it will take You there your saves folder alright but you want to go into the saves and then you want to open level dot data inside the saves that you want to change be sure that it is not open in Minecraft that world is not open in Minecraft because you could corrupt it so don’t do That because the time is being set like you know the time of day the world time last played time all these kind of things they’re being set don’t so that’s why you don’t want to work open there and also play your data so anyway open the level yet alright and here it is Then I’m gonna go to zoom in so we can see and then you’re gonna use this arrow to open down to the next level you want to go to data then the first entry there is called allow commands alright and that is basically allow cheats its name differently but it’s called allow Commands alright so then you want to edit that there’s the edit button right there it I have to zoom out to get it goes to here so here’s the edit level okay and you want if you want it off change that to zero if you want it on Change it to one in this world it’s on so it’s one but if I change it to zero then it would be off okay so like if I just went ahead and put in zero and said okay and zoomed out and saved it you want to save with this button right here Then canceled out and went back into here then it would see its it says cheats is not enabled anymore on that world okay and then I you can’t really see it but it did say cheats enable before but now cheats is not enabled for that even though I’m in creative you can actually Toggle the mode from that so if I went in there and I said you know game-mode s that it wouldn’t allow me to do it because I don’t have permission but if I went into the open to land I could allow cheats and start the land World and then I could do it temporarily until I saved out like this and basically relog then it would be in a different thing okay but if I went back into the am BT Explorer right here and again just did the same thing at it and Won and okay and save and then came in here cheats are on again see so now could easily just open it and do whatever commands I want and anyway I think you get the point of that but that’s how you could do it either permanently or temporarily and toggle Your mode for the actual world itself to be able to do that but anyway I hope that’s helpful to you and I hope that answers this question again I have an easier time showing you on video how to do stuff than writing it down big long Instructions on how to do it so anyway this is Scott all muddled thanks so much for watching guys have a great day buh-bye Video Information

Use the java application NBTExplorer to edit your Minecraft world to Allow Cheat or not.
Summary
Important: Your world should not be open in Minecraft while you are making these changes.
Open it and navigate to the folder where your world is saved.
Open the level.dat in the saves folder.
Once open, click arrow next to the words level.dat to reveal the entries below until you see the Data group.
Expand the Data entry with the arrow. The first line is allowCommands. Select that line with your mouse and click the pencil icon in the top toolbar which is the Edit button.
A new window will pop up. In the text field in that window change the value to either 0 or 1 as needed.
0 = cheats are off, 1 = cheats are on.
Close the pop up when done editing and click the save button in the top toolbar.
Quit the NBTExplorer app and open your world. Your change should take effect.
