Hey youtube in this quick tutorial i will be showing you how to connect and play with your friends in minecraft on pc i have a video similar to this on my channel where i did a similar process on a mac so if you are using a mac be sure to Check that one out this tutorial however is a process for windows users just a quick disclaimer this method only works if you and your friend are both on the same internet connection so that means you’re both connected through the same router or in the same house etc so the first Thing we want to do is open up the world that we want our friend to be joining which is going to be single player world so i’m just going to open up this world okay once you’re in the world um the first thing you got to do is press Escape to open up the pause menu and then just click open to land and you can change whatever settings you want them to be in so survival spectator creative and sheets on or off and then you just say start lane world and you can see it started the land world All right so now that i’ve opened my game to land i’m now on my friend’s minecraft now we’re going to open the multiplayer tab and it’ll say scanning for games on your local network and you can see here this land world so if i just connect to this I am on my friend’s account on my worlds there you can see there there i am oftentimes you won’t see this option here for whatever reason i’m not sure why so there is another way to do this so you’re going to want to open your terminal and to do this Go down here where it says type here to search and type in cmd and press enter and type in ipconfig and it will show all this information but all you want to know is your ipv4 address so whatever number is right here extra ipv4 address is what you’re going to want to remember Okay once again i’m on my friend’s computer so you’re going to want to go to multiplayer again and then go back down to direct connect and here you’re going to type in that ipv4 address that you found and then after the ipv4 address you want to put a colon and then the lan Number that we saw when we open our game to land and once you have this all like this remember the ipv4 address with the dots and everything and then a colon and then the land number and then you’re going to click join server and as you can see once again i’m in my Friend’s account um there i am so this is just an alternate way if you know you didn’t see your friend’s game when you were in the multiplayer time which for whatever reason happens quite often if you like this video i’d really appreciate if you could give Me a thumbs up and subscribe it helped me out a lot and thanks again for watching Video Information

In this video, I explain how to play Minecraft with friends on a PC (Windows) by using a lan server. Keep in mind, this is all done with Java Edition. There are two ways to play Minecraft with your friends in Java Edition shown in this video. The first, is to look under the Multiplayer tab, and you might be able to see your friend’s local Minecraft world, using a LAN connection. If this way works, that is awesome! It is very simple and easy.
If connecting to your friend’s LAN world isn’t working, check out this fix: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=duR_G8b0NGw

The other way to be able to play Minecraft with friends using Java edition is to, once again under the Multiplayer tab, choose direct connect. You will need to have opened the Minecraft game you want your friends to join to LAN, by choosing the “Open to LAN” button in the pause menu. Next put in your IPV4 Address, which can be found in the terminal by typing in “ipconfig” followed by a colon, and the number you received when you selected “Open to LAN”. Then click “Join”, and you will now be playing in your friend’s Minecraft Java Edition world with them!
**This process works for all versions of Minecraft, and will most likely not change in future versions of Minecraft.
Have fun playing with your friends! #minecraft #minecraftwithfriends #minecraftlan
