ChosenArchitect – Best Seed Ever | HARDCORE Minecraft 100% Advancements Challenge Ep1

Hey guys and welcome back this is chosen architect and today we’re gonna be diving into a hardcore minecraft let’s play but it’s not just that it’s also a hundred percent challenge which means i need to try and complete as many achievements as possible so i’m gonna send this over to you know

Past chosen so as future chosen just said we’re gonna hop into our first world now this is going to be hardcore so keep in mind that that’s exactly what this is so chosen first we gotta give it a name chosen’s hard core that sounds like the perfect name survival um no hardcore

Of course in this mode it is locked into hard and we also have cheats off by default it looks like we are in uh a really nice tiger biome so first things first well we gotta harvest some wood right um so yeah speaking of this being in hardcore so hearts do

Generate i know a lot of people think that um because i’ve seen other people play in different styles of hardcore this is pure hardcore which means hearts do regenerate when we eat food however if we die we die like our world is gone like it’s just gone

Completely like if we had a project that was going on that project’s gone so uh pretty straightforward when it comes to that now getting started right off the bat usually i like to just plop down a crafting table and do the first thing which is usually make about

Uh make a few sticks and then make a pickaxe so we can get ourselves started um pull this off get this going and then also build ourself a simple sword um and the sword is gonna be hopefully for finding sheep uh and i’ll go ahead and pick this up as

Well it’s not like i’m speed running or anything just uh kind of the the way that i play look at that we just got stoned my goal in this is to hopefully be able to complete all of the advancements that exist that’s my challenge and do it

While in hardcore oh there’s a skeleton down there don’t want to mess with that guy i am not ready for a skeleton now that we have some stone i should probably upgrade my tools that perfect see only well i could go ahead and i guess

Make a sword as well now we don’t have to worry about these other tools right i hear that skeleton and it’s really bothering me oh here’s sheep right away that’s probably the number one thing that you want to do in a hardcore world is get yourself a bed as quick as possible ooh

And grab some of these berries because that’s going to be food early on oh man perfect yeah this guy that’s the last one perfect now we have a bed um all we gotta do is find a place now to stay hmm man we are we are really rushing along here

Um let’s go ahead and grab this i’m not liking that my meat sickles are kind of dropping but this will give me a nice little vantage point so i can see the uh the surrounding area hopefully be able to nab something nice a nice place to start building a little area

I usually like to build in the first day that’s something that i really enjoy doing let’s see if we can get higher up here and see what this seat has to offer it’s usually the good part about these mountains at least we have a lot of

Gravel here that’s a that’ll be a great resource later on all right what do we got what do we got that’s a nice looking area over there with the the wall hopefully there’s some water i might try and head that way looks like we split off into a forest over here

All of this looks really good like splitting off into a forest i’m i really like that we have spruce early on because spruce is so nice but before we go caving there’s a few things i would like to do like get a little bit of a place settled in

So we can uh have a place to go back and forth and i’m kind of liking this ridge and is that a village i think there’s a village there is a village over there oh that’s perfect hey just wanted to sneak this in real quick if you haven’t already clicked

It really helps the channel out a long way so guys let’s get back with today’s video so if you didn’t know the last time i played some vanilla minecraft in this way was back in 113 to 114 sort of that area in between and uh man minecraft has just completely blown

Up since then like the the fact that the updates have come out so quickly is just absolutely insane man it just blows me away at how quickly vanilla minecraft is moving i might want to grab this smoker i don’t want to call this place home i don’t like calling villages home

I would like to kind of nab some of these things oh man does this guy have well they have pumpkins here pumpkins instead of wheat i could have really used some wheat but potatoes i guess are okay they’re okay actually i probably want to take the stone cutter

That’ll be nice later on early on nabbing some of these early crops oh perfect perfect like having a village is perfect for this lots of chests um lots and lots of chests which is really really handy i did go ahead and grab a bed from here

That is one easy way if you find a village early on before the first day ends you can always grab a bed from one of the villages sort of makes it a little bit easier wow this place has a lot of chess look at that lots and lots of stuff here so i’m

Leaving that village off to find another place wait a minute there’s another village right there okay the sun is going down so we definitely need to probably use our bed right as that sun starts to touch the bottom there we can actually sleep anywhere we can sleep here in the middle of the

Night sky and i guess have a little bit of a camp out this will be our first night wow there’s a villa there’s a little hut on the top of that mountain how cool looking is that yeah so sleeping definitely a thing now spawns is is kind of weird in

Uh hardcore like we don’t really have to worry too much about where our central spawn is at uh so long as we have a bed saved somewhere not too worried this place is kind of nice though look at that we got a smith right here oh iron right off the bat

And an iron pickaxe you can’t beat that iron armor yes please and some apples i will take all of that oh my goodness yes i’ll even take this man we’re running out of things to store i probably don’t need so many i don’t need ferns or anything

I will however grab as much of this as possible now the the proper tool for harvey’s harvesting this by the way is actually a hoe um that’s probably gonna be one of the best tools for harvesting hay if that’s a tip you didn’t already know i’ve got to be absolutely losing my mind

What is going on here is this is another village this is our third village we’ve come across that’s that’s not normal right what a crazy seed okay uh by the way speaking of seed like i said that seed will be released as uh the episodes go on

I kind of don’t want the location of the ender dragon and stuff like that spoiled and revealed to me or things like the fortress in the nether i kind of want that to be discovered as we play and with me streaming this on twitch it becomes a

Little bit harder to not get things spoiled to you so that’s something that i kind of worry about and i’ve never really released the seeds on these worlds until later on don’t mind me just killing some cows don’t mind me oh we’ve encountered our first beehive look at this

Need to be careful not to sort of mess with these guys but uh at least we know where one’s at we can always come back to you look at you little fella yeah i’ll sell i’ll leave you alone i don’t want that stinger to come after me always grab the sugar cane

If you find some Like i’ve been literally stranded so many times just trying to find a tiny little bit of sugar cane and i look for hours upon hours and just can’t find any so if you ever find any be sure to grab some right away because man you’ll regret later on

Not picking up some of that omg yes this oh my oh yes this right here is exactly where we need to call home this biome right here this is a flower forest this right here a hundred percent flower forest this needs to be my home yes okay so we

Need to find a good spot though in this flower forest oh look at that there’s more beehives oh inside one of these mountains would be a great place to call home what mountain though i think this would be the perfect spot to potentially call home like right there in the wall

Somewhere we dig something out and we call that our starting base i think that is going to be a fantastic idea first of all though we definitely need a hidey hole so we can end up creating our i guess mine shaft down we need a place to to call our mine shaft

And i’m thinking right here might be the perfect spot for this and then have our mine shaft go directly down building ourselves a very simple mine shaft going down and then later on expanding it to make it look a lot nicer but this is going to definitely be the

Uh the way to go early on um now setting up a little bit of a base i’m probably going to dig myself a little bit of a hole make myself a door and put a chest and stuff in here so we have a place to call safety because with it getting dark already

I don’t want to be left here stranded and a creeper just fall and bam world over like it’s happened before creepers are your worst enemies uh believe that believe that creepers can end the world in no time uh been there done that it’s it’s not ideal

Uh so just to get started a little bit of a little bit of wood here just to make it look a little bit neater perfect build this out just a tad bit just enough to get a little bit of a door here and we’ll become a caveman sooner than

You know it so i think the best thing to do here to better my odds of potentially finding diamond and immediately getting upgraded is uh yeah to go ahead and take this one piece of iron and turn it into a shield um i don’t know if immediately it gives us

Everything to make a shield it does perfect so we can pull that up i love the little like auto crafting thing this will show you everything you can craft i love the little crafting book it does make a world of difference um so i have a little bit of sugar cane

I did go ahead and sleep i’m gonna go ahead and plant some of the sugar cane right here like i said i want my actual base to be inside this wall but we need a few materials and i would love to kind of get started with uh getting some iron axes and stuff

So i’d love to find some more iron and to do that we need to do a little bit of mining and just like that our first iron ore also we have some uh some coal ore here i’ll take some of that all of this iron ore is definitely going

To be nice hopefully we find a little cave system or something it’s always nice when you find a nice little cave to kind of explore as well so here we are at y level 11. this is where i love to mine for diamonds and of course that f3 menu is definitely a tool

So you can definitely use it uh knowing your coordinates is a pretty integral part of minecraft in my opinion knowing exactly where you’re at can definitely help out otherwise you’re gonna have a hard time finding a lot of things especially diamond mining down at the very bottom of the

Earth will end up covering you in lava and causing all kinds of other problems i got to be careful by the lava but this cave up here should be really nice if you notice it’s uh the lighting updates and things are changing that’s because i have optifine on that’s also what allows me

To zoom in so if you wondering what was that uh well it’s optifine optifine is definitely a mod that really helps with performance but also adds a lot of like neat functionality things as well i’m really scared to go up here actually um i might actually try and scale this back wall instead

Because that this is just asking for a creeper or something to fall from there oh that is it’s so terrifying actually the more i get up here oh but good there’s iron and stuff up here which is great i’m just scared that something’s just going to pop out of nowhere

Okay good wow that was that’s actually the end of the cave looky there we managed to find some gold that’s not bad at all so i managed to find another cave that is right over here i think it might be worth it like every time we enter into a cave system

It could mean life or death so you never know if it’s going to be worth it or not there was some loose gravel you never know like you don’t know what’s on this other side it could be a creeper and like you just don’t block in time and you’re gone lapis okay maybe

And sometimes you can just get super lucky and find some really nice resources look at this there’s a there’s some lapis right there which should be really helpful later on when we get into some enchanting perfect that was actually quite a bit of lapis so i’ve officially ran out of

Picks which means we need to go back up and take our 55 iron and start processing this stuff man we should have grabbed that blast furnace i knew we were going to eventually need one um what i’m gonna do is go ahead and stack two furnaces

In the wall here and this will just get it twice as fast as if we had that blast furnace um and yeah we’re gonna work our way towards getting a blast furnace that’s definitely the goal and we’re just gonna go ahead and split up the iron that we have here

And that should go twice as fast as if we just used a single furnace now we could go as far as filling this whole room with furnaces what’s to stop us um nothing nothing at all actually i mean it is minecraft i mean you do whatever you

Want to do right i mean so long as it’s not going to get me killed like i do whatever i want right i’m i’m the uh you know i’m in control at least i i think i am i mean this basically just allows me to you know just

Cook things even faster at this point it’s it’s definitely tool upgrade time uh i think it’s about time we make pretty much everything that we’re going to need uh later on including a hoe i think at this point it’s probably gonna be best

That we make a hoe so that way we can go ahead and make some farmland getting ourselves some renewable crops and also things to trade all those villagers that we have uh just hanging around us which is probably gonna be one of the the nicest parts of this

Oh and before we get to that let’s go ahead and make that uh yeah that blast furnace i was talking about it’s as simple as smooth stone and a few iron and bam we have something that can cook ingots or cook ore twice as fast we throw this in here

We can now cook this gold down pretty quickly it goes a lot faster this guy just straight up teleported to me and scared me so much um and i mean i’m not asking to die or anything but i mean could we potentially get an ender pearl early on from this

Oh my this is a risk the holy grail and we ended up getting a grass block oh that’s the holy grail right there giving herself a little farm is definitely going to be a must and uh well i guess we can place it pretty much anywhere now keep in mind farmland will

Reach out four blocks but you don’t have to do that if you want to keep things looking kind of nice you can do it however you want you want to do two rows do two rows you don’t want to extend it all the way out you do you right

I’m gonna kind of make it look like this a little bit a little bit rough around the edges it doesn’t have to be perfect by any means um i just kind of want it to kind of stand out okay so plant and i wanted to be functional i wanted to actually work

Like i want to be able to use some of these uh materials so i need to grab some seeds from our little little hut here here is our seeds right there and i could plant some potatoes or i well i guess i’ve already planted potatoes i could plant some pumpkins that we do

Have so i haven’t gotten any watermelon and it is getting dark it’s kind of worrisome and there we go we have a few spots that are you know going to be left here but i think we should be fine now another thing we can do is cover that with a trapdoor

Or we can even put a slab there as we can water log things so but i think at the moment i’m just gonna leave it as is and hopefully let it grow up nice um now the only thing i would like to do to it is probably decorate it a little bit of

Course i’m not gonna just let this look just plain jane you know we gotta decorate it a little bit you know add some leaves of course i already added the fins posts which honestly make it look a lot better than just setting here by itself but i do like to

Add the little bushes around and it just gives it that just a little touch just a little touch even around our little base area here which i’m thinking about adding some dirt so we have a little bit more room and then of course right here this honestly might end up becoming our

Little mine shaft and then we probably will have some sort of walkway to get up to the area that i eventually want to call our main base i bet i know what would just make this look so much better is if we took some iron nuggets surrounded that

Got ourselves a lovely lantern and sort of built ourselves a little light post here in the middle of this so if we place this in here it should be waterlogged as you can see placing that and then a couple of these hopefully i can get to it oh without stomping on the

Crop of course i stomp on the crom um can i reach this there we go can i not land on that there we go perfect place that one more and then add this here yeah that’s that looks great and of course we can just fill that back in and

Perfect look at that you never would even know kind of helps cover up that water there i’m back in the mine i’ve mined quite a ways down there so what i’m gonna start doing is doing some branching so i’m just gonna start branching off

And i tend to do it this way i’ll tend to branch and peek in every few blocks as i go down and i skip three blocks this is kind of interesting i don’t know if this is how everybody does it but this is how i tend to do it

Um though my thinking around this is one two three and then i start mining the reason is is because there’s a high chance that this ore that the the diamond ore that i’m looking for or any ore is going to be potentially a two by two

Uh that’s the way i look at it so if it falls within this area i’m probably going to be able to see it there’s like really no in-between and same goes for the roof um so that’s kind of my thinking and what i do miss i mean i probably would have missed it

Anyways no matter how i was mining um i just find that this is probably the most efficient way that i tend to mine yes this is exactly what i wanted i wanted to find a cave a bit larger of a cave look at all these bats there are bats literally everywhere oh

This is a dangerous cave i should probably be a little bit more on edge yeah this is a and i’m asking for a creeper oh boy to fall on my head cave from all directions at least if this guy is in water it won’t blow up blocks but then again stone doesn’t really

Get super blown up by creepers anyways it’s mostly dirt oh thank goodness yeah that area is just asking for it oh there is so many bats kind of crazy what an interesting cave there’s a zombie oh i heard that okay i’m prepared i think i have my sword i am ready to fight

Right here though this is where i’m mostly worried is i i don’t hear anything but then again creepers can just sneak up on you before you know it okay good and also skeletons skeletons are pretty dangerous as well here this water oh speaking of skeletons get correct i would love to have some

Bones though because i would love to get myself a little doggo that would be great oh man all right let’s let’s uh let’s block that off so we have less water to deal with which is kind of a pain also yeah i’m just asking for it and i

Why am i down here this is this is where it becomes really dangerous make sure we eat by the way this is a super useful tool the axe is actually probably the best weapon that we have at our disposal right now it is super high damage

Pretty slow though on the uh the reload but it is definitely the best as far as damage goes we can get away like with a creeper exploding by using our shield and it can save your life so a shield 100 percent like can take a creeper blast but you got to be careful

Because other things can go wrong wow this is so interesting i wonder is this gravel okay man i tend to like to place my torches on the right hand side as well but in a cave like this it’s so large that it’s hard for me to know like where i should place things

But i definitely know that i want to prevent creepers from spawning on my head oh boy um like i said with the explosions that’s where that’s going to come in handy if you guys are not on the edge of your seat i don’t know what’s wrong with you

Cause i’m on the edge of my seat i am running away from that creeper he’s watching me i’m just trying to light as much stuff up as possible so you don’t have to worry about as many mobs but this right here how you doing mr bat

The creeper’s down there now so this is yeah like i said abs that’s absolutely horrifying um i have no more wood which is okay i think we’ve lit up most of the cave oh okay i think it’s about time we work our way back probably avoiding that creeper that’s probably a good idea

Oh it’s down here now um great uh that’s the way we need to go can i block this water off here that would make things so much better especially when it comes to fighting this creeper uh let’s do this okay it’s gone it’s done it’s done all right

And we got this cleared out so now we can harvest all of this iron and we’re good this is still part of our cave system this is just one branch so at least i know now this is also a great way to find caves by the way

Is to sort of branch off and then uh down certain branches you’re probably gonna end up finding yourself some caves so i think so far today man it’s actually turned out quite nice so as a start to a hardcore world this is actually turning out pretty pretty nice
