ChosenArchitect – Chosen’s Modded Adventure EP2 Ars Nouveau Wizards Journey

What just happened we just exploded I’m chosen architect and this is my modded Adventure now between the last episode and this one some of the things that happened I’ve done a little bit of bug fixing and hopefully by the time of this video going live you guys will have access to

This Modpack over on curse Forge of course I’ll have it linked down in the description below whenever it is available but it’s in the works it does take a little bit of approval to get this started but hopefully you guys will have a mod pack that you can follow

Along with me on which is gonna be super exciting now one cool part about this mod pack is you guys get to sort of follow along with me through its journey and progression and also follow along with me uh and one of those things is

Going to be quests now at the start uh there’s currently no Quest but it’s in the process and we’re currently working on quests they do take a long time to put together and I want the quest to sort of be more like goals that you reach uh not necessarily a must do thing

Or a tutorial thing just something that is going to be sort of like here’s the goal that you can try to achieve and of course that’s how my mind is working with this pack as I want this to be more of a build your own adventure sort of

Pack that uh you know leads you in that direction not necessarily to this ultimate goal called in-game uh now with that said I want to do some adventuring of my own and build my own path today and with that I want to explore the underground a little bit and get some

Resources that way now in order to do this we should equip some of the RS Nouveau stuff that we delved into just a little bit last episode and really get into it this early because I think some of the coolest things that are used in ours Nouveau are used early game so let

Me show you now of course one of the first things we need to do is going to be building ourselves a scribes table uh very cheap to get into so long as you found some of yourself some wood and a little bit of gold from exploring and

This thing allows us to make our own glyphs now glyphs are kind of like these little things that you see in here these are already the predefined glyphs that you get but you can also craft more and think of this like a program that’s honestly what this is this is basically

A tech mod disguised as a magic mod of course it does have Magic Properties but this is pretty much a tech sort of thing sort of you have this uh thing that you’re going to be assigning that is going to do something and so you have something that is going to for example

This is a project it’s going to shoot something but then we need to tell what that shoot is going to do what is it going to do when it hits a block or when it hits an entity well we need to Define what it’s actually going to do such as

Break for example and when we do that and we go ahead and create this we basically created a spell um or what it’s called in in this particular mod but in reality this is like a little program we’re building that does an operation uh so if we think

About it that way it’s a little bit easier I think to understand and uh we can actually create more glyphs using the scribes table and I tell you what there are some really really powerful ones that we can build early on for example the Mage Light by the way you

Right click on here to pull up all of the ones that you can craft now of course we have different tiers we have tier one tier two and tier three at the moment we only have a tier one spell book and this is related to the actual

Spell book that we have here and of course we can take it up to the major spell book and then of course into the archmage spell book which gets very expensive and the Spellbook can also be dyed which I do want to get into but one

Of the first things that I love to make is going to be conjure Mage Light this is going to require a lantern and a torch and when we do this we activate it you can see they’re spinning around up here and it already pulled from one of

Our nearby chests meaning that we had a lantern inside of the chest as you can see it can pull from nearby chests and we can also right click the items on here now it does take a little bit of experience when we do this and we get ourself a glyph that looks

Pretty cool this glyph can be used whenever we right click it we can learn it and now it should show up in here but it can be used in some really cool ways first of all let’s go to a new uh section here such as three and we’re going to call this light

And the cool part about this is we can say uh projectile or touch it really doesn’t matter which one we choose here I usually prefer projectile because we can shoot it and then we use Mage Light that’s pretty darn cool go ahead and assign this and now we use this

We can cast a little light on the wall but we can use this when we go underground but what I want to do is I actually want to change the color of this and you can change it to all kinds of different colors after you’ve assigned it there’s some predefined ones

Over here or you can customize your heart content the rainbow one is kind of cool whenever you place it down it does give you this like RGB effect which is pretty darn cool but if you’re if a certain style you’re going for probably want to choose one of these for example

Purple for me I kind of want to go purple we’re going to have a lot of purple themes going on in our base because of this mod so there we go now the other powerful parts and this is where this one thing is super powerful because if we think about this

Differently we can actually go huh what if I use this on myself now when you use this on yourself you’re gonna get night vision and this is pretty cool when we activate this now as you can see we get night vision for 30 seconds and we could also extend this

Later on but for right now that’s such a useful thing to have when we go underground now early on I’m going to be building a ton of these different spells using this really cool scribes table but now that we have this and we have some stuff that we can play around with and

We have this wheel that we can use to activate different spells and or assign hotkeys to very specific spell slots I think we’re ready to go and do a little bit of exploring and hopefully not die now of course before we fully jump into the mine there is one thing

That’s still left to be made and that’s a diamond pick now I would go ahead and use this towards an amplify for the Spellbook but I think we’re gonna be better off just having ourselves a diamond pickaxe ready to go and then also making an iron pickaxe for our

Journey because currently we just don’t have a whole lot of Mana to spare for the brake spell and that could leave us in a really weird position now I think leaving this little area and going right over here is going to be the perfect place to start our mine this is gonna be

Great so ride it first I’m just going to Simply go straight down uh you know build your standard mine but whenever we come back up after we gather a few more resources I want to make a more permanent mining location no way just wait okay we just mind ourselves into a mine shaft

I don’t think it gets any better than this oh this is fantastic this is gonna be full of resources but I’m also kind of scared because oh boy we could easily get lost here oh boy already we’re getting hit with oh I can’t hit him we’re gonna die to poison well I guess

We can’t die to poison but we’re gonna die because of poison oh goodness oh there’s a spawner right here that’s why um can I just light up the area to make it less likely to spawn them oh boy don’t hit me I think we can we get away with it there

Perfect and we get a bunch of string I want to save some of this because I also want these cobwebs so we might have to come back down here later with some shears because I didn’t bring any shears and we can collect these because I think there are some glyphs that do require

Specifically cobwebs so this is just this is amazing now this is the whole reason why I strolled through this place lapis we need lapis to be able to dive further into ours and so there we go we even gathered some diamonds it’s very nice but yes there

Are spawners that are sprawled out all through this more than just these spawners as you hear oh there’s a bossy boy up there um that’s kind of spooky and this looks like it’s a mob spawner is it oh oh no oh no he actually came through the walls no he’s gonna kill me

Oh no oh we’re dead we’re surely dead oh we’re surely dead I don’t know if I can I could probably place a block oh quick thinking that was a lot of damage this is a rare apotheosis Boss by the way and it must have spawned from one of those spawners

My partner what just happened we just exploded I don’t even foreign scared me so much well that was an experience um I didn’t expect it to blow up on me but you know what you live and you learn let’s head back down and hopefully find our our grave now I did between this

Episode and last change up the grave mod and I went with the corpse mod instead I I just like it a little better um and it does make it a little harder to find your grave but it does set a marker on death uh within the maps mod

Here with the f2b maps so yeah it’s it’s not super difficult to find we’ve just gotta head all the way back down bumping our head on every single piece of deep slight now to be fair I don’t honestly know how I died I think this is the same guy yes

Oh we barely do any damage but I’ve gotta get this guy down enough I still was it a creeper it just said I blew up it didn’t even say it could have been a creeper or this guy actually can throw things at you what just happened we’re blinded we just

Got hit with days these are all new effects that I am completely unaware of oh my goodness but I’ve gotta find my grave which is right here my body laying on the ground like this I knew I would end up dying eventually I just need to transfer my items and as

You can see everything goes into place I’m actually gonna re-socket These Boots which were a bit nicer oh boy that means that there’s a chest in here that should hopefully uh hopefully get us some nice things yeah there’s a there’s definitely a mob spawner up there

Oh I’ve got I’ve got to get to that yeah I’m not quite sure exactly what this is some sort of like dungeon area very odd there’s another apotheosis boss there don’t think there’s TNT here oh good oh look at all the Wild and spikes nice so we did get quite a bit of

Loot from that oh thank goodness believe it or not there’s like there’s more of these areas and I’m not quite sure exactly what these places are but like for example this spider here with this guy oh let me come on no no don’t I cannot die to you come on

No oh that was so close oh goodness I should probably not be fighting these guys like so oh man oh source berries very cool oh but yes there’s loot in here they’re like random spots huh that’s pretty cool but man that’s some really useful loot right there oh boy

Look who it is there’s a rat oh boy we don’t have any way of picking it up I’m gonna leave our friend because eventually we don’t want these guys to turn on us I want them to be our friend so I’m gonna leave them alone for now

But we can always come back and get a rat oh here’s one of these spawner loot chests that I was talking about so inside here they can be topped with all kinds of stuff like lodestones but this one has an anvil bunch of iron and then

One of those pocketbooks all that I was talking about this right here I can go ahead and put in my pocket oh and it’s so nice Okay very interesting oh so after all of that craziness I think it’s time to head back that was plenty of resources that we can

Use to get sort of started with uh with ours a little bit more get ourselves some rituals and finally get our stuff set up all we needed was a little bit of lapis so we can make ourselves some Source gems now something I want to do right away after getting back is plant

Some of these Source berries so that way we have more of them uh here soon because these are going to be very useful for us in ours but I do want to get into more of the basic crafting stuff that we need to do from ours Nouveau this episode is pretty much all

About ours Nouveau and how we’re going to basically get started with it and start to use rituals right away um now there are a few basic components that we need first to set up and that is going to be these imbuement Chambers and I’m actually gonna make six of them

Right off the bat they’re not super expensive but making six of them is going to be very helpful because we can just randomly place them around over here and we should be able to just simply Place some lapis into them and these are going to slowly turn into Source gems

And of course the more we have the quicker this is going to go and we are going to need several Source gems in order to really get started with this mod now once we get access to some amethyst it’s going to be really good because you can use amethyst as a

Infinite Source of these Source gems because instead of using lapis which is finite we’re going to be able to use amethyst oh it’s gonna be so good I do need a lot of stone and I really love the smoke coming off here that’s simulated and it flows around with the

Wind oh this gives a really nice ambient effect I I just absolutely love this anyways I need it Stone so I have all of the stone prepped up and ready to go and also some gold let me go ahead and pull out some planks from here so I can feed

This to keep the gold going because we need quite a bit of gold for all of these projects um and so the ritual Brazier this right here is going to require a pedestal but we’re also going to need ourselves an Arcane core and we’re going to need an enchanting

Apparatus which is another valuable thing and we need a diamond for that so we do have all of the components I believe in order to craft most of these things however I still think we need a bit more Stone uh because the Arcane core is going to require a bit but one

Of the first things I want to get set up before any of that is simply this so we can go ahead and use stone or we can actually use any of the diorite it’s probably best we get rid of the diorite this way and we just simply place this

In here we get several of these Source Stone which is a really cool building material but is the main like sort of building material for all of our little pedestals and everything that we’re going to be setting up so yes pedestal and let’s first get ourselves a breezier

Setup this is going to be very very handy because while we’re working on our other crafts we can have this doing that thing that I really wanted to do and I wanted to dig a hole an actual mine a little bit better of a mine and well we

Can do that with this all we have to do is make our first ritual now to do this we’re going to need a tablet of burrowing this is going to be a ritual that we should be able to use on our Brazier that’s going to dig four holes

And the holes are going to be dug here here here and here and they’re going to dig all the way down to bedrock and this is pretty useful because if you ever want a tunnel where you can just go ahead and get a water Channel going that’s probably one of the easiest ways

To do that because we can go ahead and set up the water channels on the sides now of course this is just going to be more or less an easy way to just go straight down to bedrock and also discover caves um so this was our temporary mine now I need

To find a sort of better location for this mine now this spot right here seems like it might be the perfect place so all we have to do is place this in and then right click to activate and what it’s going to do as you can see is start

To mine all the way down in all these four directions now of course we can make another one of these rituals and we can move this over and it would of course end up mining over time a big hole and if you set this up in the same

Way that is most functional to farm Cactus or sorry sugar cane then of course you can set up multiples of these that could just dig a giant hole down to the ground basically quarrying now the way we’re gonna have to get down there is of course with a water bucket

But for right now I want to build a sort of structure here because this is inevitably how I want to be able to get down to the bottom I want to be able to just simply drop down into a water Channel and then I could just make my

Way back up just swimming now of course I can’t just leave this here without building some sort of interesting structure so I’m thinking about building myself out a very very simplistic very simplistic little shed or Shack or are mine here oh and just like that with the time that I

Spent doing this it is now finished and so this is the little space inside of course I want to be able to break this and pick it up and I’m gonna block off these two sides here these are gonna be the sides that are really really important and of course we can decorate

The floor later but for right now I just need to Simply get to the bottom now I will place on the left side the way to get up hopefully that’ll make its way all the way down there and then what I’m going to do is this and use the glider

Now this could be kind of scary and hopefully we get this and uh we don’t make a mistake but I will go ahead and grab another bucket of water real quick from here just in case and we should be able to just simply Glide or way down uh and hopefully find

Some caves along the way that is going to be really nice oh look lapis that eye up yes the glider is going to be so nice for this letting us get all the way down to the bottom so we can put a simple blob of water down there and yeah this

Thing mines all the way down to bedrock level and uh as you can see I think we’re really close to that Bedrock right here and you know what I might just call this the place where I want our water to be located so I’m gonna mine a couple of blocks

And all I got to do is just simply place let’s see a little water spot right here and now we should be able to jump down here and always have a way uh to go so I should be able to swim up through this and hopefully we don’t encounter any spots

And we might run out of breath that is the only thing that is going to be kind of troublesome but this is a start to a mine and later on we will have better means of breathing yeah we take a little bit of damage but that’s fine oh man

Perfect then of course we can’t forget the signs so we don’t forget how we go down and I should be able to just simply ball all the way down now and Bam we have access to the perfect mining level oh this is so good oh look in another one of those spawners

Very nice and we get some loot from this while we’re down here All I’m gonna do is mine this find the spawner and oh oh my goodness icy Thorns step height we got some good gear oh man is it better than what we have though like

This may be decent in Diamond gear but um I don’t know we get actually some nice perks like speed and stuff from what we have so it’s gonna be a little hard to get rid of what I currently have equipped so with all of that craziness

Out of the way it’s time to get into even more craziness and that is going to be kind of getting into the actual crafting part of ours Nouveau and it is so beautiful it just requires the Arcane core and an enchanting apparatus and then some pedestals uh now this core

Places down first and then the apparatus on top and then what we can do is place down the pedestals normally like this or you can actually I think go up to two blocks away but here’s basically the the setup now you can actually take these and make them a little bit smaller which

Is kind of cool and I like to do this sort of setup where you actually place it on the side and it just kind of makes things look a little bit more interesting I don’t know I like it like this now what’s the first thing we’re

Going to craft in this well believe it or not we’re gonna craft a plant and it’s going to be a mage Bloom seed because this is an integral part of this particular pack and of course when I say pack I may mean mod yeah yeah the mod so

All we’re going to need is some Source gems so I’m just going to place them onto the platform so this is how the crafting works and then just right click here and boom Oh it’s so pretty so much going on you just you have to just wash it it’s so satisfying

And then complete ah very good and we have ourselves a mage Bloom now we can actually plant this normally or we can put this inside of a botany pot that’s all right we do have access to Botany pots and they also work with saplings it’s just going to require a significant

Amount of clay now normally I just use the regular terracotta but this time I’m actually going to sort of dye our terracotta I want to make myself a purple version of this uh we are going to need um some pots and I actually think I have some pots laying around Yeah we

Actually do have some flower pots that we got is Loot and yeah we should be able to put this together no problem at all just another chest and Bam just like this a botany pot now um what we can do is put some uh some dirt in here

Inside the botany pot and we can have it uh go on to any of these uh we can even put it on this I have no problem putting it here um and so what we can do is put some dirt as soil and then we’ll put the Mage

Bloom seed but we’ll take ourself a hoe and we should be able to till this dirt however we are going to need a hoe perfect so I just basically till the dirt in here and that’s going to give us a .05 modifier which is better than most

Of the things without getting into the farming mods now this should just simply grow while we work on other things and and that’s going to be great now we can also bone Mill it and there’s a mini there’s many other ways that we can accelerate this including modular

Routers but right now we’re just gonna let this do its thing now I still haven’t quite told you the importance of the seed and the seed is going to be very important for our gear that we’re going to craft it’s going to allow us to use more spells more effectively but

It’s also going to be a way that we can teleport around so we should be able to make scrolls using this seat there’s a lot of uses for this and it’s going to be very helpful throughout our journey here now of course I have to set up some

Saplings to go in here now there is a little bit of a problem as this mod does not have support yet for Regions unexplored so we’ll have to farm these manually for right now uh until we can get a nice little tree farm set up for some of these such as these Maple

Saplings which I absolutely love oh it’s going to be a work in progress but hopefully we’ll be able to get it done but I do want to get Source berries in here as well and then get all of these things started oh we’re gonna have so much wood

It’s going to be so nice now remember how earlier I was like man I really don’t know if I can depart from my gear well now that we have a good amount of this Mage Bloom I should have no problem at all departing from my current gear I’m

Going to need to craft myself some basic iron gear and that is going to allow us to convert it into some Mage gear that’s right we’re going to be getting our first fitment so now with the iron gear crafted we should be able to get ourselves into some really nice gear

Just by simply placing some of this Mage Bloom fiber which we got from the Mage Bloom we can go ahead and place that in here and then craft up our warlock hat is that what we’re gonna be yeah definitely warlock for sure chosen the Warlock the brave chosen the

Brave that’s what we’re named we’re gonna be called chosen the Brave and yes now I can turn my hat on and Boyle boy I love this but we get to customize the color on all of this all of this gear so like we should definitely do that once I

Get all of this wrapped it up foreign By default we look like this which is honestly really nice and there’s three different types total of gear that you can choose from there’s a battle armor which is a little bit more hardened which requires diamond and then there’s also uh sort of a lower Tier gear as well

Um all built into ours you can see we are in the middle tier but then there’s also the battle mage and there should be one more tier as well which is the sorcerer set now I’ve not tried all the colors but I do know white I really do

Like I also like the black setup as well but I’ve never tried the yellow setup and this may be a little bit weird but will kind of be sort of golden color and I think that could be very fitting since everything else is going to be sort of purple around us

YOLO we can even dye our Spellbook as well the to be yellow we look like Curious George I’m not in a rain jacket I swear that’s what we look like right now I love it wow after doing some more testing of colors I really like this red

Color as well oh it’s like a fight between orange red or white all of them are great colors you know what I think I found a good medium right here it’s like a mixture between the yellow the red X together I really like this yeah it’s

Also my favorite color so I mean it is what it is I mean just look at it look I mean it looks so good yeah yeah I I think we’re sticking with this for sure now some other awesome benefits of having this particular gear on is well it actually gives us some

Bass like uh stats towards our Mana like extra Mana region and extra Mana overall which is really really noticeable when we were using half of our Mana bar to Simply place a Mage Light and as you can see all you gotta do now is click that

Or this is the night vision uh but if we go to the actual Mage Light notice it only uses roughly a quarter a little less than a quarter of our total Mana bark and that’s significant meaning we can use this more frequently and look how fast it regenerates that also means

That mining is going to be much quicker as the Regeneration is super fast and of course this is only the beginning as this gear has multiple perks that we can add to it later on and I am pretty excited to be able to deal with that next episode because today we’re
