ChosenArchitect – Chosen’s Modded Adventure EP4 Ars Nouveau Early Storage + Automation

I’m chosen architect and this is my modded Adventure jumping in today we are starting off with storage like no like anything in between straight up we’re getting a storage system set up to make things easier but I did get a little bit of a villager here or a little bit of a

Visitor I mean the wandering Trader for once has a useful trade look at this blaze powder uh yes as much of it as you can give me five I’ll take it because that saves me a potential trip to the nether uh where I could actually craft something before needing to go to the

Nether uh anything that uses for example eyes of vender yeah that’s going to be pretty useful now back to storage this is the thing that I really want to set up today what I want to do is I want to have access to all of our crates and

Potential new crates uh and I want the storage I think to go up here meaning that what I want want to do is I want to expand my wall and I’m going to have a wall that sort of lines all the way up here and goes up to this Edge it’s going

To be a little bit easier for me to actually build it than to explain it so I hope that’s a little bit better of an understanding of what I’m working on now I need to bring this up but I want to show you a really cool feature of the

Construction wand mod um so I have a bunch of these random blocks that I want to incorporate into this particular build um including a lot of the stone and crack stones and things like that what I can actually do do is just take some items out of my inventory and align

These in the hot bar and uh then we can hold down control and shift and then right click this in the air and notice it pulls up a menu and we can actually randomize the blocks that are in my hot bar uh yeah it’s just as awesome as you

Might think and so as you can see every block we place here is going to end up getting randomized including when it does place in bulk like this so uh I don’t think it gets any better than that it is a really awesome way of placing in randomized blocks oh this build is

Turning out so good just look at this right here I went ahead and got the outside sort of wrapped around and of course it’s looks like uh don’t don’t look in there actually let’s keep that close uh but I do have access points so I can access the underneath section and

I made the pass through go straight through the middle here and uh believe it or not this is a 2X two which actually gives it this nice feeling I still am missing some foliage and stuff that need to go in here for decoration but for right now this looks perfect and

Then of course we have our other side here of course we can access all of our imbuement Chambers from last episode and then bam right up here is more room for storage and expansion and uh I’m pretty excited this little like starter base is really starting to pay off now back to

Storage yeah that’s the whole part of today’s episode uh well we need to get into the ours newvo storage now there are many many storage mods in this particular pack in the pack that I’ve put together but I think one of the earliest game ways of getting yourself a

Storage setup has to be ours ours new vau now that they’ve added this it is honestly one of the easiest methods to get a refined storage like sort of inventory now this is actually what you need to set this storage up basically all of the base ingredients that would

Be required of course that keeps in mind that we uh we actually needed an imbuement chamber and then we also need ourself an enchanting apparatus uh that’s basically all you need set up to get this now what we’re going to make is a tablet of Awakening and this is going

To require uh for Source gems in total you’re going to need six Source gems um but I’m going to go ahead and make the tablet of Awakening and then of course I need to combine the books here and we need to make ourself basically a uh book

And Qui right and that’s going to be how we augment our tablet of Awakening now we’re also going to need a ritual brazer for this as well um and this is one of our first steps so let’s go ahead and set this up so we just basically take

Our brazer and we go ahead and ignite this and then we’re going to augment this is the first time us doing an augment to do that we’re going to click an item onto here now it opened that up but uh it is augmented you can see the

Item consumed a book and quill and then when we right click it’s going to take all of that and as you can see spit out a bookworm charm so this is a bookworm uh very cute little creature and uh we’re going to find out exactly what it

Looks like here in a second but keep that in mind for right now the next part is going to be making one of the most useful tools in ARS Novo and this how you control everything and that is a Dominion wand um so in order to make

This we are going to need a couple of things we’re going to need a piece of gold which I do have several pieces of gold that is a big part of this mod is gold uh but we’re also need two Source gems and a stick and we place that in

And this is how we’re going to control entities we’re going to control a lot of things with this so this is going to be one of the most important parts or most important tools that we make uh getting into ouro so there we go we have that

Then finally last but not least we’re going to need four inventories or chests and then we’re going to craft ourself the storage Lecter which which is how we’re going to link all of our inventories and how we’re going to access this inventory it’s a pretty darn

Cool thing so now that we have all of these things let’s go upstairs and place it where I kind of want it um I kind of want it to be this like looming thing that looks over this area um and I think right here would be

A pretty good spot for it we could put it over here as well I do like the idea of it being there now the hardest part is going to be just figuring out where do I want to place this or do I actually want to just place it in the middle here

O I could probably do that and then just move the apparatus right so H this is tough we can even put it in a corner you know what we could put it like right here for right now and then move this upstairs in a nicer location for example

Right here yeah I think that might be the way to go now uh all we got to do is basic basically click that bookworm on here and this is going to be ready to go I’m I’m pretty excited I’m just like you can’t hear it my voice this is going to

Make storage so much easier and I may still move it I still don’t know if this is exactly where I want it so I guess now it’s time to let the fun begin let’s go ahead and activate this so we’re going to place a bookworm charm on here

And you can see the little Bookworm spawned inside of the book um but this guy has some really important uses it’s actually going to be the way that it transfers the items from one inventory to another um and so to link all we have to do I believe is click here and then

Select the inventory or is it sorry it’s select the inventory then link so yes you need to select the inv inventory by shift right clicking and then right click now one Bookworm is able to support up to eight inventories so no matter what the size of the inventory is

That doesn’t really matter it’s just the individual inventories so uh this will be three and we can always add more bookworms right so at the moment we have four you can see the little fella is going to be running around and I’m going to keep adding until we’ve hit our Max

And the cool part is is all of these inventories uh that are connected are going to be accessible inside of here now notice we have one more than we actually have so we are going to need to make more than one Bookworm now that’s something I’m going to have to worry

About a little bit later we do have plenty of storage right here and the storage that is missing just contains basically tools and things that we don’t really need right at the moment now another cool thing is if we’re going with the orange theme I believe we can

Dye this guy orange no we can dye them other colors though uh for example I think red we can definitely turn this guy red which definitely looks orange yeah and so let’s open this up without further Ado this is the storage and yes it looks very similar to refine storage

Um and then we can even open this up to see all of our items stored away it’s pretty neat right that we have access to all of this um we can scroll through here we can sync with our jei over here and we can balance the grid uh by

Sorting by ascending now keep in mind I did have all of these storages sorted as of right now but I don’t really think that as as we start pulling items and putting items in I don’t think it’s going to stay sorted for very long uh things are going to start getting mixed

And matched all over the place but I think eventually we’re going to be switching inventories anyways and going with a much larger solution and now of course one of the biggest chests in the game is the dirt chest 9000 so this chest is definitely worth linking I’m

Just kidding this is literally a dirt chest um yeah I mean it will store exactly one stack of dirt and I mean if that’s something you’re looking for now notice when we start pulling items out and crafting things look you’ll see the animation the actual guy carrying the

Items back and forth oh and I love this so now that we have the storage up I want to start the automation process of the imbuement chamber and and making our source crystals releast the the semi-automation of it so I want to use a frame drawer from functional storage for

This and this is going to make this super easy now to change the texture on these drawers you need to place it in this particular fashion so you can rotate depending on what you kind of want here but I want the block texture to be on the outside and then the uh the

Sore Stone texture on the face and we get oursel two framed drawers now this is going to be pretty straightforward but what I’m going to need to do is place a drawer for example here and here and they’re kind of cool looking right

And then what I want to do is I want to have my imbuement chamber in the middle now what these drawers are going to be able to do is send items in and then pull items out we just need to Define that inside of these puller cards um and

So for example let’s do a pusher card which is going to send from the drawer into the imbuement chamber uh and what we need to do is figure out the direction that this is going to be sending to it’s going to be in this direction of course you can access that

By just hitting the F3 menu and we’re going to notice it’s East so on here we can set this to East and now whenever we place this in the drawer uh it goes in the utility slot and goes east now of course we need to know what the opposite

Of East is for our pull air upgrade and this right here is going to pull we set this to the West which is going to be the opposite just like that so pretty straightforward um now we do eventually want to be able to lock this

But for right now uh what we can do is just simply have a item in here and that’s going to create the filter because these need filters so let’s let take a single source gemm and this is going to make sure that that drawer is locked um so now we can take our

Lapis and of course we’re going to be able to find more of this and I can just put this in here and as you can see the lapis gets pushed in and then whenever it is done it’ll automatically get pulled out because this is filtered now

To make sure these item filters never go away we can just make sure we have this set to uh locking mode and then we can actually lock these drawers now this I don’t really want locked because we’re probably going to end up swapping this with amethyst later on so for right now

This is what it is but we need to find an amethyst node yeah I think we should go do that and believe it or not this mod actually has a way that allows us to find those so we’ll be granted magic find scrying which allows us to be able

To see sort of where these things are at of course we’re going to make sure we have enough wood but yeah this does get consumed up so I’m going to make more than one I’m sure sure we’re going to potentially need more than one um as if

We don’t find it right away I don’t think the range is huge but it’s definitely worth making a few now um I think I’m going to have best luck if I go down into this tunnel instead of dropping down into my main that’s for my like basically mining diamonds and stuff

This area is more suited because there is a kind of certain y level that you’re bound to find these uh these amethyst geodes now if you don’t find the geodes underground the ocean is also another great way to find geod cuz sometimes geod will just be like out in the ocean

So let’s try this out I’m right at the start of deep slate which I think is the perfect area for this and when we activate this we need to kind of just look around as we continue to go down we may have to just mine in a straight line

Eventually to be able to find anything but for right now I’m not seeing anything nearby but it’s supposed to highlight once you’re uh sort of near geod oh speaking of that one’s right there apparently and this is what it will look like whenever you find a geode

So let’s go ahead and head over in that direction and would you know it exactly what we were needing this right here amethyst now these are amazing and all of this is great but we do need to pretty I mean we can go ahead

And farm what we have in here but we are going to want to farm this with a very specific mob from ours Duo that’s right there’s a Golem that can automatically Harvest this for us but not only Harvest it this thing has the ability to generate new budding amethysts anywhere

We want so this is going to also use that tablet of Awakening that you see right here um so we just need some Source gems go ahead and clear this perfect and we’re of course going to need our ritual brazer and all we have to do is perform

This next to a budding amethyst uh which of course there’s plenty of them there and as soon as we have this set up we get to place this thing in the Overworld and uh well we’re already in the Overworld but we need to place it in our base so this should be pretty

Interesting we just basically ignite it and then light it oh man all of the colors reflecting off the amethyst is so cool but the fact this is nearby as you can see spawns this little fella now we should be able to kill this little guy and it’s going to actually drop the

Charm now of course you could leave them in here to farm but what I want to actually do instead is Harvest as much of this as possible take this and actually if you place a block of amethyst like this stuff near it while it’s out in the open it will eventually

Turn this into a budding amethyst I think that’s pretty cool now this is going to be the perfect example of me talking about that Dominion wand and how it actually functions so let’s go ahead and put oursel a storage and we’re going to actually link the Golem to this

Storage but first of all we need to set aside um some budding amethyst now you need to give budding amethyst a little bit of space and so I think this area is going to be plenty this will allow us to have uh four but amethyst up here this

Guy will have to work with and for now the shape of course may change and let’s go ahead and spawn this little fill in this guy is a super happy little fella uh but we should be able to link this storage to this or do we have to link

This first so let’s go ahead and Link this there we go stored The Entity and then set the home so this is the place for which it is going going to end up placing the harvested stuff cuz it will auto Harvest but notice it turned it into Bunning amethyst and this

Little guy should do that for all of these he’s spinning right round now I think it’s at this point that I should probably explain something that is special to this particular mod pack and that is that geod are very important and there’s more than just amethyst geodes in this pack that’s right there’s

Actually resource geod so you may actually stumble upon a coal geode that when you break those you get coal shards basically and if we take a look you can see there are other geode Farmers uh that are related to those particular types um and there’s even quartz geodes

Diamond geodes and you basically do the same process on that geode to be able to get these particular types of charms and they will also be able to convert them like this and do the same process except they can Farm your diamonds your iron and all kinds of stuff now finding those

Geodes well that’s the difficult part because they’re sprawled out underground but I give a little bit of time and you’ll have some really nice tools that will allow you to mine effortlessly through the underground so now that I have a few things such as amethyst and

It’s in constant Supply now and it has been completely running uh as you can see right here they’re all converted and is now being produced I want to now send the converted amount that we’re getting here and I want to populate it into these and then I want to be able to pull

Out the results and then send them directly into our inventory here now to do all of this there’s only one mod for the job and that’s modular routers now don’t let this mod confuse you it is actually quite simple there’s basically a single inventory slot inside of the

Modular router and what we can do is we can interact with that slot we can basically say pull items into that slot and pull items out of that slot it’s pretty straightforward so we’re going to need these puller cards and these Cinder cards now the mark version uh basically

Determines whether or not it’s wireless or not or cross-dimensional um so the base card allows you to pull from adjacent sides of your modular router and then of course the MK2 or the mark 2 is going to allow you to send wirelessly to another machine up to 24 blocks away

Max Base 12 in some of the cases uh unless you use uh the range upgrades right but it can go up to 24 and then you have the MK3 the mark 3s which are basically cross-dimensional uh and allow you to send to any machine you know in another dimension I mean it’s pretty

Self-explanatory now I want to use distribution modules these basically allow us to have that max range without the upgrade right and we can go up to 48 blocks with this and get up to eight machines that we can interact with at once once which is pretty useful we’re

Actually going to need two of these we’re going to need one that’s going to send and one that is going to pull cuz the cool part about this is the distribution modules work basically the same way as a puller as well um so let’s not get too confusing and actually

Demonstrate so I think one of the simplest ways to show this off is just to go into this open crate here and send the items from here basically into this drawer and uh it’s going to be pretty straightforward all we’re going to need to do is of course gain access

Underneath here which I think is going to be the best uh the best way uh to put this so we’re going to put a modular router that is down here and you need to keep an eye out on the direction you have it facing for example this is

Facing this way with the red front and whenever we open one of our polar modules we’ll see that same interface here of course this is the back slot and it tells you all of the slides now we’re going to be working with the top we basically need to pull from here from

The top which is the up and then all we have to do is put that card inside here and we’re going to notice that amethyst shards are going to start to fill up there now we do need to send wirelessly to that drawer so this is where a sender

MK2 is going to come into play now all we have to do is simply shift right click on this and that is now locked to this drawer and whenever we go ahead and put this in here we’re going to notice these items are going to start disappearing and they’re going to be

Sent wirelessly over here and actually if we didn’t have these blocks in the way you’d actually be able to see the the items actually flowing across the screen which is pretty awesome so that’s about as straightforward as it gets now we need to take these items out of here

And I think what I’m going to do is put a modular router back here and then all we need to do is basically say I’m going to go ahead and pull from the face and then that is going to pull into here and we’re going to have s SCE gems

Built up and then I want to distribute the source gems and we can go up to eight different machines uh but we only need a certain amount right we only need seven I believe and so what we’re going to do is we’re going to select and

Making sure this is in the transfer to router or transfer out of router mode CU there is another mode that you can send into the router basically turning this into a multi-polar um and we’re going to leave it to round robin uh and we’re going to go ahead and start selecting all of

These so you just simply select all of the ones that we have set up and uh then the other one is going to be set to the poer so in reality I guess we could have done both of these cards at the same time cuz you can do uh the card stack

Together if you’re going to be uh needing that okay so all of those are put together and we can see where they’re all located uh now the shaders normally would show an icon of what side it’s connected to because it is side dependent um but in our case it really

Doesn’t matter now on the other card this is where things get a little bit different because we have to filter these I believe um so this is going to be a transfer into router and this is where we need to set up our Essence

Filter um so if we go in here and we search our Essence these are all of our different Essences that we produce and so we’re going to need one of each or we could just actually use jei that’s probably the best way to demonstrate this so we can actually drag these in

And that will make sure to lock these in uh but there is another setting that we need to do cuz this is currently blacklisting by default which will prevent these items from going in that’s not what we want we want these items to guaranteed to go in so we need to switch

This over to Whit list so all we have to do again with this card is go back and make sure we relink on all of these and I’m pretty sure it doesn’t matter what side this is pulling from cuz all sides can be pulled and sent from uh inside of

These uh these imbuement Chambers thankfully otherwise our other setup wouldn’t work with the source gems so we’ll just get all of these connected in and just like that we should have automation uh now this card right here is going to need to be sent into another modular router and I’m actually going to

Put that modular router back here believe it or not so let’s go ahead and set up this one just like that um and so we don’t really need anything crazy for this we just need to put that one that has all of the filters in here inside of this

And when any of those are done they should automatically get put into the buffer and that’s when we’re going to need a basic Cinder and so we can just use a very basic Cinder by the way it’s easier to just craft this with some bows instead

Of a piston um and so there’s a basic Cinder and we’re going to send to the front and that should automatically put that into our storage lecturn and that’s basically it let’s go ahead and put this in and we’re going to start to see the magic happen look at the items flow in

And they’re going to get put into the spot and uh these don’t have any Source just yet so they’re going to work very slowly but as you can see they are all filled and because they’re going to be working very slowly it should allow our source gems to somewhat keep up so of

Course now for the part of why I absolutely love modular routers and that’s because we can effectively hide these to make them look like anything we want so right here is going to be a camouflage upgrade I’m going to get a few more dye you do need a little bit of

Dye for this uh well we should have plenty of poppies for this perfect and I think the only we only need two of them for right now uh but I want to make it look like this Stone so I will simply shift right click on the stone and I can

Then place the camouflage upgrade in here and now you would you would even know this is a modular router unless you hovered over it and just like that we have wireless automation throughout our little base here automating our essence of course with all that fun if you’re

Getting tired of this little guy roaming around cuz he can kind of go all over the place well you can tie him up to a point and just let them sort of dangle here and it should still be able to interact with this and send the items to

This uh this crate uh because I don’t think it matters if it like it doesn’t actually walk up to it or anything cuz I noticed it was putting the items even when it was down here so just something to keep in mind it’s it’s a little janky

But it’s adorable so I think we’re getting there our base is slowly coming together we’re getting access to all kinds of cool stuff and I think next episode we definitely need to work on getting ourself some source as soon as we have that all of this stuff can be

Sped up and made a lot faster which is going to be very necessary considering the fact that we are going to need uh plenty of these Essences down the road uh but of course I cannot wait to get into some new mods such as create and
