ChosenArchitect – Minecraft Mod Showcase: Cyclic

Hey guys and welcome back this is chosen arctic and today we’re taking a look at the minecraft mod cyclic and be sure to give some love and support the mod dev lothazar and let’s go ahead and get on with the mod showcase so what exactly is cyclic well it’s a

Mod that strives to add tons of stuff that should technically be in minecraft or at least stuff that we wish was in minecraft um it can do everything from adding ores to the nether and the end to doing things such as wireless fluid energy and item transportation yeah this

Mod can do just about it all of it so let’s go ahead and take a look at some of the basic items that exist inside of cyclic so at first we have armor and tools so the armor and tools here is actually really nice what it does is diamond armor itself is actually

Reduced in its ability um so the emerald armor is now better than diamond and then even better than this we have crystallized obsidian and this stuff is a bit more expensive to make as this does require some in-game materials um so this is definitely what i would

Consider in-game cyclic armor and it is very very powerful um can considering when you pulled it up against diamond i mean this stuff is going to totally beat out diamond some other useful tools may be these cakes we can actually eat these cakes this is an inventory cake

And when i eat that i now get this little button here that turns it into a crafting table so now i can actually craft on the fly wherever i’m at that is a handy feature on top of that we also have an inventory upgrade if i eat this

We now unlock an extended inventory and now we have even more inventory slots and not only are these inventory slots we can actually swap armor slots we have two separate armor slots here and then we also have these hot bar rows which we can hit x and we would be able to swap

Out our hot bars using this inventory that’s pretty sick we get basically an entire double chest worth of storage on our own person you may have noticed these scythes that are inside of my inventory and each one of these sites do different things this one can chop areas of weeds and flowers as

We can harvest and replant and this one is massive leaf removal so this one will work great for removing all of the grass this one will work great for harvesting crops and if you noticed this is a very special seed we’ll talk about it in a second and this one will remove leaves

And it just removes them doesn’t give it to you but fully removes it um so if you noticed these magical beans here yes this is a plant that is added from cyclic as well and it does grant you a lot of vanilla uh like dyes flowers uh and all kinds of

Stuff and all of this stuff can be changed inside the config so if you’re a pack developer you could technically have these seeds do just about whatever you want and it can spawn them in by default it usually tends to give you vanilla based items it can even give you

Diamonds um so it is a very nice crop to have running and you can eventually set it up to be automated with the mod itself which is super handy cyclic has many fun tools to offer and just a couple of them i’m gonna take a look at

Right here um so we have a few different items in my inventory this one right here will take flowing water and will convert it into solid blocks so for example if this was broken here and we have flowing water it can turn that flowing water into a solid water source

Making those pulls that you mess up fixed which is really really nice also if you wanted to pick up a mob you could use the inverted stirrups to pick a mob up and put it on your head yes this mob uh is on my head how are you doing pig

Very very nice to have you on my head the block exchanger this right here the exchange scepter can do things a little bit different as you can see we can punch the block to change its size and direction we can go with a single block whatever block is in your inventory can exchange

Can be exchanged with the item that you’re looking at um so for example if i want this dry peat bog to be exchanged with dirt i put the dirt in my inventory and we swap it out and vice versa if i want to swap this out again

There you go if a tree is ever too tall for you to shear well you can just throw your ender pearl shears at it and just go crazy and harvest the whole tree from a distance oh i love this one another insanely useful tool is going to be the player launcher the player

Launcher has some neat features it can pull you and also push you so right now it’s set to forward which means i should be pulled forward and i get this slime effect which makes you actually jump faster and run faster while jumping it’s pretty fast and can be kind of dangerous

Especially when you combine this with other mods but if you click on the ground you can see it’s set to reverse now which means i will be pushed backwards would you get pushed a lot further when you get pushed backwards so let’s go ahead and shoot myself up in the air

And you can see we go quite the distance but you can also jump and let this release and get even more distance so another really useful tool and definitely is uh great when combined with uh some slime boots from uh i don’t know a mod called tinker’s construct

So let’s just say we want to take a trip mining well we have a little bit of gear here that we can take mining with us and there’s a lot of gear to go over so as you can see we’re going down in this dark tunnel and there’s a couple of ways

We can combat this one is a night vision helmet yes as long as you have this helmet on you will have night vision it is fantastic but let’s just say you don’t want that you want your full armor to protect yourself well you can also use a thing called an automatic torch

Placer so you can see as we stepped into darkness it automatically placed it now you can right click on these in your inventory to turn them off and then any torches you pick up will be consumed by this but if you want to do it manually there’s also

A torch launcher so we can actually shoot this torch all the way over there from a great distance this is a very very useful tool as well for getting around a cave now you also notice i have some dynamite this right here is combat dynamite which we can throw and

It doesn’t really do damage to us but it will to everything else um and it doesn’t destroy blocks now this is mining dynamite yes this does destroy things but it leaves the blocks behind which is kind of what you want unless you get stuck inside of a block like this which uh

Happens from time to time some other useful things well how about all of the other levels of dynamite we have dynamite tier one which pretty pretty lackluster pretty small then we have dynamite tier two a little bit better that’s actually doing something right and then we keep going up

That one was a little bit more dangerous uh yeah that one hurt a little bit back up about that yeah that still hurts we can take it up even further and yeah so let’s just say the top tier one acts a little bit more like an in-crystal as far as how much

Explosion damage it does and uh all of this is super super fun to mess with now let’s talk about some of the other stuff that we can do over in the cave so what if you want mobs to spawn a little bit faster or maybe more

Mobs to spawn i know that sounds crazy but if you light this water candle that’s exactly what it does it will cause mobs to spawn more frequently and sometimes that’s a useful thing now to protect yourself of course you can use a slingshot to protect yourself from mobs

But what if you’re looking for something very particular i don’t know maybe a mob spawner or you’re looking for a cave well the cave finder has the potential to do that and the spawner seeker has the potential to find spawners right and what do you do once you’ve found a spawner well

You probably want to pick that spawner up and take it with you and there’s also a way to do that so after we’ve located the spawner let’s take a look as you can see cyclic stuff does also spawn in chests um so if you want to find some cool things you

Can find them here um i’m kind of waiting for this mob to spawn let me go ahead and remove some torches this boomerang is really cool um yes that’s exactly what it does it confuses the mobs spins them around and allows you to do some damage to them while they’re doing that

Uh which is definitely hilarious but it can also bring items to you which is another use for this item and you can see it just brought those items to me all right let’s go ahead and torch this back up and we’ll get this area by the way the torch launcher also

Can knock mobs back um which is another uh hilarious feature um we can also pick up the mobs so this is the pokeball as you can see i was able to pick the mob up with the monster ball and there we go we have a mob stored

Inside this ball now i was talking about picking up spawners right that’s where this empty sack of holding is going to come in handy we also have a storage bag which allows you to store items in it we also have an ender sac which accesses our ender storage from anywhere

And uh the sag of holding lets us pick up blocks or chests that have data stored in them and it will allow us to place it back into the world just like so so we can actually pick up a spawner by doing this and we can take it

Wherever we want to get ourself out of this cave well we might as well use our mannock this is a three by three mining machine that mines dirt and everything else it is just an insane tool it is very great and is is wonderful when you pair it with the

Automatic torch placement as you can just keep mining and mining and you don’t have to worry about it when i said it mine’s the dirt totally does so like i said it’s a mining machine and of course our torch is just going to be placed

Right behind us and so we don’t have to worry about mob spawning so now that we’ve covered some of the basics of cyclic let’s go ahead and dive into some more advanced features that this mod has to offer and believe me this is some of my favorite stuff to do

With cyclic so this is going to be a little bit more advanced and i’m going to try my best to explain this the best way possible so what we can do with wireless transfer is we can set up a thing called a gps and we have nodes so

Each one of these nodes can do different things we can transfer energy we can transfer fluids and we transfer items and i’m going to be transferring water just to demonstrate because there’s not a great source of energy in this uh this mod so let me go ahead and demonstrate so if we

Have a source of water for example such as this right here i can place down a fluid extraction cable and when i remove this this actually can pull water from the source um as if it’s an infinite water source right here i can have that transferred into a fluid

Transfer node in here and you can see i can increase the transfer rate right and the water is built up in here you can see there’s slots for these individual gps markers let’s go ahead and locate a gps marker tell it where we want the

Water to go i wanted to go into this tank so if i shift right click onto this you can see it saved that location into this gps marker i can then open this up and place that gps marker in there and what would you know it

Fluid starts to build up into this tank because this is now sending fluid over here this is super super fun to set up things it works with items as you can see and energy so we have items or we have energy right here that can be filled up

And we have a slot for items so all of this is fantastic it works infinite range i believe it’s infinite range i don’t know if it’s cross-dimensional but uh it does work infinitely as far as range goes and it is absolutely amazing so another great feature is let’s say your tool is

Looking a little bit grungy we’ve done lower the durability on our tool and we want to repair it we can do that with a couple different kinds of anvils there is a magma anvil and there is also a power anvil right here this one requires energy to repair your tools this one

Requires lava so i put my tool in here and i give it some lava by right clicking the lava onto it it should start to slowly but surely repair the durability and if i hit f3 and h i can see how much durability is on my

Pick you can see 24 out of 131 hit it with another bucket of lava and you can see now it is fully repaired so this will take lava and repair your tool the other one will use energy it’s a useful useful thing you don’t realize how often you would like to repair your

Tool quickly without needing some kind of special enchantment to do so so let’s go ahead and now take a look at some of the useful blocks that exist in cyclic as well these are very very useful machines and uh we can go ahead and take a look at

Some of them um let’s go ahead and place this one down uh what we have here is a controlled miner this will allow us to put a tool in here and give it power and it will actually mine in the area that we have defined which we can set it

Up to be a one block a space or whatever we may want it to be and this will set the mine height you can also show how big of an area is going to mine and this will mine it this will take that tool and will start to harvest with it

Super super amazing over here we have an automated user this pretty much works the same way except for instead of a tool it’s going to use a sword and basically you can set up how quickly you want the sword to be used or item to be

Used set up the size and whether it’s being used or it’s going to be attacked you can also change the vertical offset which just changes uh what direction it’s facing whether it’s looking down looking up or looking straight on right here we have the uncrafting grinder this basically is an uncrafter

Uh and it literally does work as an uncrafter it’s pretty crazy and uh usually is disabled in most mod packs as it is pretty broken um there’s a lot of things you can throw in here that you can just uncraft and yeah that’s it it could be yeah pretty

Broken a forester will harvest trees for you and plant the trees um i believe it will harvest them it definitely plants the trees for you and you can of course define the size um the item collector is a vacuum it will collect items in a given range the harvester will harvest

Your crops for you and replant them um but if this does if this inventory does get full it will start to spit them out on the ground so you do want a way to definitely make sure to pick this up this is usually the cause of a lot of

Servers we’ve had this causes a lot of issues because of that simple fact it will not shut off once it’s full it will keep going and then the items just get spit onto the ground the structure builder basically will allow you to define a lot of stuff this is a super advanced

Uh builder as you can see i just defined this giant ring around a square that’s 26 blocks but if you set this further down we now have a square that is that size based around this you could do a solid square you can do a dome a cup there’s all kinds of

Different useful things that you can uh put in here so pretty crazy um you can also define where you want that location to start using a gps marker um also we have a block miner this is will mine the block that’s directly in front of it um

So long as you’re you give it the proper stuff to do um so that was the item collector i believe that picked this up you can see uh but if we put this here block minor you can see it’s gonna break the block um and then of course this picked it up again

Over here we have a block placer if you place an item in here it’s gonna place the block down and over here is a fire starter and if you give it power it will place fire directly on this right here and you can define it with redstone uh

You have dark fire you have frost fire and you have fire so you can basically set up different fire types that are related to this mod so some really useful items that you can kind of mess with other mobs with um for one is going

To be this one this one will mess with us if we eat this it will give us step up like a horse so then we can just instead of jumping we can just walk up and it’s not like auto jump this is auto step up which i’d actually prefer i

Really like auto step up um because it really does add it feels like natural just like a horse as if you’re walking around but this right here this infected carrot will do a couple of things this one will turn your horse into a zombie course this one will change your horse’s

Color this one will upgrade its health this one will increase the speed slightly this one will increase the jump height so yes you can make an incredibly overpowered horse with this setup um this one will change the color like it said and this one will convert it

Into a zombie horse and if you want to tame this zombie horse you can of course there is another um fruit or another vegetable that you can give to it that will allow you to tame it and yeah it’s it’s pretty crazy i love some of this stuff So last but not least on my item list is going to be the super overpowered items that exist in cyclic as you can see i’m floating in midair i am floating and i can drop down just like so what is giving me that is going to be the wing charm

This charm right here you can keep in your inventory or if you had bobbles enabled you can put it in a bobble slot um this right here gives you the ability sorry not this one it’s the air charm um the air charm is what’s allowing me to fly you can turn this off

And you can see i can just jump normally but when you turn this on when you jump you basically it’s like putting a block underneath you and you can then walk in the air i mean it’s straight up it’s like flight um and you hold shift you can go down a block

Or you can hold shift to just go straight down it’s it’s pretty ridiculous now what you’ve seen just activated there was the wing charm the wing charm if i turn this off when i’m in the air and i jump down the wing charm activates and i get slow

Fall as you can see right here and you can go quite the distance with slow fall it is uh it’s very handy and also pairs very very well with that player launcher by the way another thing we have is the speed charm this allows us to go incredibly fast

Um and run insanely fast it’s it’s super super useful in itself um so that’s the speed charm the wing charm we have the fire charm this will help us take less fire damage also says fire protection while carrying the sailor charm increases boat speed while

Carrying so if we’re on a boat we can go a lot faster in the water and this one saves you from falling into the void which is very nice in the end dimension uh so i recommend having one of these on now some of the other things climbing

Gloves basically you become a spider you can climb up walls um and it’s super super handy and you can also jump and scale the walls it’s it’s very very nice um it’s a it’s a wonderful tool for that um now on to the last two very very overpowered items and i mean

Very overpowered one is the glowing chorus fruit this will give you a little bit of flight time um so i have now create a flight not slow fall i think the thing is covered up i think you get about two minutes of creative flight something like that some small number uh but you

Can add this the more of these you eat the more time you’ll get you can see in the top right hand corner i have two minutes of flight that’s where it’s showing it um and yeah the more coarse fruit you eat more of this you eat the longer that

Duration is going to go now that’s not the most overpowered item you would think that would be but honestly this right here is the end-all be-all of super overpowered items it gives you spectator and allows you to go through walls for a short period of time

Yes i am doing this in survival i can go all the way to the bottom of the world i see gold down here and i want to mine it i just wait for a second until it wears off i get a slight bit of weakness and blindness

But i am here i am actually underground and it takes me exactly where i want to go super crazy powerful and especially when you have mods that have dungeons that are hidden underground this is a very useful tool for finding those dungeons well guys i hope you enjoyed today’s video i know i
