CoasterCiaran – My First Time Exploring in Minecraft

Okay hello and welcome to another video here in Minecraft and as I’m sure you can already tell we are back now in my world where today as promised I’m gonna be taking a boat and I’m going to be getting a little look at the island from uh from the Seas and uh

Suppose it’s a joint episode of exploring the sea kind of and exploring the island kind of it’s gonna be a not entirely either but uh also a little bit of both uh but what I want to do before we start the episode is actually build like a little a little dock a little

Dock to set our Boats off because I think that’ll look nice here in the coastal Cove and it’s a it’s such a small little project that I can’t really dedicate a whole episode to it because I think that’ll be immensely boring so what I’m gonna do

It’s a just uh build a little dock out here and then we can then we can launch our boat off from that uh but before that what I would like to do is I get myself some wheat and I don’t believe it has grown out yet because uh I uh I

Punched it all before I closed the game last yeah it’s uh it’s not grown but I should have like 50 50 pieces and that’s just about what my wheat farm does so it’s good I think I’m at the point where I can sustain myself because by the time I’ve run out of this

My wheat farm is a is all grown again uh but I’ll uh I’ll try and make as much of that as I can there we go 18 pieces that should be enough I think my biggest uh biggest worry with going out to the Seas is if I find something cool that’s underwater I

Might almost drown and that’s the that’s the time I’m gonna need to eat but other than that I should hopefully be mostly mob safe I know you’ve got the drowned zombie so I’ve had one encounter with so far but other than that unless the skeleton clocks me from her from the

Shore I should pretty much be fine so what we’re gonna do is we’re going to take a boat and we’re gonna sort of sail around the outskirts of the island and I say it’s an island but I’m not actually sure that it is an island I’ve seen uh

Water over there water over there and water here but I’ve really not explored that that area over there yet uh past the past the forest and so it’ll be interesting to see what actually lies beyond that I only really go over in that direction when I’m

Looking for mobs because as I’ve said a few times now they don’t spawn in this area at all and actually I found out why that is apparently they only spawn once like your cows and your sheep I will only spawn one time per chunk and they’ll never spawn again which is

Incredibly annoying because I think I would have made an animal farm a little bit quicker if I knew that was the case but obviously creepers and skeletons will spawn uh always which is a really really silly uh but then cows and pigs will not they’ll spawn one time per

Chunker and that’s when you very first load that Chunk in but then I suppose they don’t despawn uh after so I I guess it’s kind of uh it’s kind of there’s some good and some bad to that but what I need to do now is go and

Explore the island and uh hopefully if I find some cows or some sheep I could dig them into holes I’ve got I’ve got a I’ve got pigs dug into holes over there ready for when I make an animal farm and speaking of an animal farm I flattened a

Little bit more of this and that’ll be coming in one of the upcoming episodes is there some some pig farms or some cow farms uh will be coming to these areas over here but I’ve got a lot that I want to do in that time of course I want to

Do this episode exploring and then I think I’m gonna get to work on like a storage room a big chess room uh because I’m at the point now as I’ll show you as I go into my house uh where I’m kind of very disorganized and it’s getting hard to find stuff uh

With all the chests that I’ve got I’ve got about five chests in here which is uh not a lot about Minecraft standards but uh hello Alfie okay and uh but it’s all disorganized so I think I wanna I wanna get a storage room done in one of

The upcoming episodes and Alf can you get off my pillow like he’s getting his dog poopy butt all over my pillow I’m gonna end up waking up in the morning with acne all over my face from all the dog poo that’s gone into my skin so I’ll

Leave him here on the chest uh but unfortunately alfieu are not gonna be able to come in this uh with us in this episode uh which I’m sure will uh will be a nice relief for some of the viewers that are not our fans uh but a bit sad

For some that are uh because we’re going to be going out into the ocean I’m a bit worried that it’ll drown I did take him over the seas before and he seemed to be fine but I’m still not going to risk it uh because it’s just gonna be silly

Having a dog bobbing around teleporting to me constantly and of course with the air with the horrible drowned zombies and their skeletons and whatnot I am a little bit worried that he would he would get into some uh to Harm’s Way But what I want to do is I get to work on

This on this little dock and when I say your dock I’m going to be building a very very basic dog uh what I’m gonna do is I’m just going to take a little bit of this spruce and uh then oak planks and I’m going to build one of those very generic dots

That you see where it’s just uh a little wooden uh basically a little wooden dock lined with some uh with some Spruce logs and uh that’s because uh this is not my sort of permanent home so I don’t think I’m gonna be launching very many boats from here maybe one day

When I’ve got a mega base I’ll have like an actual port or something like that but that’s all very ambitious right now but what I would like to do is just have it over here and just build a very simple uh very generic looking little dock and one

Thing that you can do in Minecraft now which I would like to explore is uh build different boats out of different woods I’ve seen I’ve seen one of the boats I don’t know which wood it’s supposed to be it’s like a yellowish boat and it’s completely different it’s

More like a more like a raft so I’d really like to to make one of those I’m not sure if it’s birch wood uh and then and then we can have them all sort of sat here on the dock and that’s one of the main reasons that I

Want to build that is uh so that I can have the sort of dock the boats sitting around here on the dock and making them look a little bit pretty and then what I’ll do here is uh just build up some logs and I I do

Appreciate that this is uh this is very ugly as most of my builds are but I think it’ll add some balance especially when we go out on our boat and we get a look at the place a lot of bit of balance to the island to make it look a little bit

More a little bit more pretty and then what I’ll do is I’ll uh I’ll do my fast swimming and I’ll try and come down here if I go to this little gravel block and then start piling my way up like this I’m so grateful for this uh for

This Sprint swimming that you can do I suppose it’s like real swimming where you can actually like sort of dive around that has been incredibly useful definitely my favorite feature of all of the new things in Minecraft that I’ve discovered uh maybe not my favorite but

I can’t think of anything else right now but I think that’s one of the things that I like the most right now about what I’ve seen and I’ll put some torches up here so that we don’t get any creepers living on the dock and then I’ll bring this out by a couple more

Just so they there so that it looks nice and then we can make ourselves a boat and I’ve made myself a boat before so I should be able to do it but I think I got lucky before and I don’t actually know the recipe but I’m sure I’ll figure

It out nice and quickly and then other than that we should be good to go and uh if I just coming to here and then we can then we can make ourselves that boat likes so I was going to put one at the top but I ended up making it uh unintentionally

And that is all that I’m going to need I’ve got my food I’ve got some I’ve got some materials maybe I’ll make myself an ax because I’ve not got one and I know I’m gonna end up running into something that’s gonna need an ax I suppose I should take some Cobblestone with me

Anyway in case I need to make some some upgraded tools but I think I’ll take an ax just so that I’ve got a full set of tools I don’t want to use too much inventory space because I’m hoping that we find something interesting in this

Video uh I’m not sure if we will but I think if you’re seeing this video I’m uh hopefully some something interesting will have happened if you’re seeing this video I can assure you that something interesting would have happened because I don’t think I would have had the uh

Would have had the nerve to uh to post a video where we get absolutely nothing done I still have a little bit of a little bit of quality control even though my Minecraft videos are quite crap as far as Minecraft videos go and this is actually perfect timing I’m

Going to put my boat down here and what I’m going to do while the Sun is setting is just get the hangover using these boats when I played Minecraft on the Xbox you used to just point in the direction that you went but now in my experience you’ve got to use the keys

And if you guys know one thing about me it is that I am not good with using the manga the uh the uh w a s and D keys because I’ve never really done it for any game before and I think I mentioned that in just about

Every episode uh but uh it’s not it’s not too hard but I think I will I think I’ll struggle uh just with a sort of precision when we’re sailing around and uh we can just get a little a little sail around here on the on potato Island

And then come back here into the dock I don’t want to go too fast because I don’t know if the boats still break that was one thing from when I played Xbox that was always a a pain in the ass was the amount of times that the boats break

Uh but if I come back in here we’ll go to sleep and then we will be on our way because I don’t want to waste too much time I’d like to get all the way around the island if I could even do that if it isn’t an

Island uh then then I won’t be able to make it all the way back around here and I’ll have to end it while we’re still away from home uh but if it is then hopefully we can get back here park up back here in our little dock and uh end

Back here at the air at the cove and uh but we’ll see we’ll see if that’s even possible right now so let’s get in here and then let’s uh let’s turn this around good God it is hard to uh it is hard to control but I suppose that’s all the all

The fun of learning and new and new Minecraft skill uh okay so if we come around here I’ll just show you this area because I didn’t show you uh I haven’t really shown you because I keep talking about the island and going back to the uh back to the

Part where we start we finished the very so the trees coming out what is that what is that oh oh I know what this is this is a ship it’s a shipwreck I’ve seen these I have seen these I’ve seen these before uh not this one it’s been

Right under my nose I literally live there and there’s a there’s a shipwreck but I do believe you can get loot from these as well as them being built out of the about out of the cool Woods if I just come in here and I’ll do the fast

Swimming again so that I don’t drown yeah loot suspicious stew uh Moss block I can’t take all of this because the uh oh God never mind I can’t take any of it if I’m if I’m dead I’ll come up here and then uh good God uh Moss block this is interesting actually

Suspicious stew I think that’s probably a poisonous stew maybe someone can correct me if I’m wrong it’s giving me poisonous potato Vibes so I’m not gonna drink it because uh I would be a little bit worried that it’d end up killing me and then Moss block which I’m not sure

What that does at all uh I didn’t even know that that was in the game to be honest with you so that’ll be interesting to see what that does I’m wondering if I could maybe grow it is it like grass but it’s like those grass blocks where it’s grass all over maybe

It’s like that um but other than that I don’t think there was anything down there I’m not sure how many oh I should really eat because I’m already quite low on hearts I don’t know if there’s you try swimming down here I need to get the hang of these uh these swimming

Controls oh is there something in here seems to be nothing in here I’m not sure if that’s it if there’s just the one chest or if there’s any more but I don’t want to spend too long lingering around here I don’t think there was anything else in

There other than some paper and some coal but I’ll come back to this I’ll come back to this uh at a later date definitely I’m trying to think maybe there’s something I could do with this because we’re so close to our little area maybe we could build like a glass

Dome around it and have like a like a sort of museum display or like a ship in a bottle or something like that um or maybe we could like take it down take it apart and then and then rebuild it maybe uh I’m just uh I’m just coming out without

Random ideas here but it’s it’s really cool actually I’ve never actually seen one of these I did know that shipwrecks were in the game unfortunately it’s hard to avoid avoid spoilers on what’s in the game especially it’s things like that are probably quite old I’m assuming this

Was added when they updated all of the oceans so that’s actually quite a nice little thing to find I do like the uh exploring the new things but it is one of those things where I did kind of know that it was in the game already I just

Didn’t know how to find it and I’m actually quite surprised that it’s this this sort of shallow of the water I thought maybe they’d be kind of deep out let’s see um but it’s good to know that they have like a little a little bit

Poking at the top to help you find them that’ll that’ll be useful for when I’m if I ever find one again and uh what I was gonna do what I was gonna do initially before I got distracted by the Shipwreck was just come over here

Just to show you that this is where I’m referencing when I say where we finished the last episode uh the first episode even uh this is that sort of area and then we can come across here and we’ve got all these little Sandy little barrier islands and I’m thinking maybe

We could build like a lighthouse or some kind of like wayfinding uh thing to have here uh so that we can sort of be directed between the uh between the two areas because obviously in that direction is then is then where the world spawn point is so that’ll be

That’ll be something in the sort of long term it’s not going to be something that I’m going to be doing in the next episode like I say I’ve got fans and a storage room and things like that to build as we as we go ahead and then this

Is the uh this is the little Cove and it’s looking nice I’m liking it I’m liking seeing it from this sort of angle as well with the greenhouse and the house and now we’ve got that little dock there as well it kind of bounces it out

Nicely but I’m not going to waste any more time I’m gonna carry on in this way as I’m sure I’ve got plenty of other things to uh to explore and you can see here that there’s just a little bit of that like uh big Spruce biome

Just here on the edge and uh is that what type of tree is this oh is this one of the swamp trees because they added trees to the swamp didn’t they maybe I’ll use my ax and get the wood from this one but I suppose I should is it

I am gonna cut it down but I’m only gonna cut one but I want to know if that’s oak or not yeah awkward okay that’s interesting so can somebody tell me if anybody uh could comment and tell me what this flowery oak tree is because the leaves

Are different to like regular oak or at least with this texture pack that I’ve got so that’ll be interesting to know what the difference is between the flowery Oak and the regular Oak I’m not sure if the leaves are clusters different leaves I don’t know that’s interesting and that’s that’s right here

On my Island again something that was under my nose this whole time this is why it’s good to get on a boat and get a look from there from this far out but if we carry on around here I’ll show you two residents that uh that are

Living here on the island and uh good God is this another ship another ship under here I swear like I swear that I have not uh planned this in any way shape or form I just didn’t know that all this stuff was here in fact this one’s even more funny because

I think I’ve got a boat line around here somewhere as I’ve come between uh between because this is where I tamed out this is this is the little bit of forest where I tamed Alf over here so I had to bring him over here and I made a

Boat and all of that stuff and uh this there was a ship right here under my nose as well that’s actually uh oh can I get down maybe there’s a maybe there’s another chest in here this one’s on its side though so I suppose that a that

Disproves my thing about me ah this is nice this is good okay I’m gonna I’m gonna take that quickly though before I die I don’t really need lapis because I’ve got quite a lot of it but I’ll take it anyway and if I do that so fast swimming so that I don’t drown

I can hear all kinds of cave noises from down there or maybe they’re like ocean noises and that’s so that’s kind of freaky I’m worried that I’m going to come across one of those horrible zombies or maybe even something worse while I’m down there but once again there’s a ship and

I’ve looted the chest again there might be another chest down there but this is actually quite nice to uh to see uh iron because I’ve I’m still quite low on iron as it goes maybe I’ll finally be able to make myself a pickaxe and speaking of pickaxes my mind is just around this

Corner and I’ll show you that as we go along as well it is a little bit of a uh starting off with a bit of a tour of the things that I already know except the shipwrecks and stuff but these are two residents which I mentioned in the in

The last episode These two people that live here on the island these are the turtles and I tried to point them out in the last episode when we were up there on the greenhouse I said I was trying to see if I could see them but here they

Are they don’t move at all I think maybe because like obviously Turtles were like like the sort of beach themself on the land and I don’t know if they’re laying eggs or something like that but Turtles are something I didn’t know about in Minecraft I didn’t know anything about

What they could what they what they do or anything so it’ll be interesting to find out what the what they do I don’t want to kill one of them I don’t know if they drop anything unique or whatnot but I don’t want to kill one because they

Kind of just sat here and they’re kind of looking cute maybe I’ll build them a house or something like that I’ll do something with them at a later date but for now they’re just sort of vibing here on the beach and I’m gonna I’m gonna leave them be uh they’re more than

Welcome uh on my Island if they’re not causing me any harm like the creepers and the skeletons then they are more than welcome living here and I’ll carry on through here and I’ll show you my mine and then we’re on to the Uncharted territories of the uh of the little

Costa Karen area a little coaster here in island that we live on and this is my mine or I suppose it started as a little Quarry for uh for gravel because I was going to use gravel as my like uh path cover around the island and so I started digging around

At this huge like area of gravel but this very quickly ended up being my uh my mind and uh just in case as I say that I as when I say I go mining just in case you thought that that was a lie of any kind uh there’s my mind there as the

Uh so the proof uh and then you can just see in these uh in these chests it’s just your generic mind I take most of the stuff out I’ve got some iron that needs to be uh needs to be smelted but obviously I used my coal

Uh in in one of the previous episodes uh but you can see I got a lot of cobblestone and uh and this as well which is the uh Cobble deep slate which I’ve only got one piece of right now but that’s another Stone because you’ve got

The uh andesite and the granite and then there’s the uh there’s one of the other ones as well uh but you’ve also got this the uh the cobbled Deep slate as well which is another Stone to add and another stone that I can learn to build

With as we as we go forward and I think the idea uh with it being called Deep slate I think is that you can only find it really really deep down so that’ll be interesting actually to uh to see if there’s any differences with that but it

Seemed to break just like normal Stone so uh I suppose that’s another fun thing that I’ve discovered while I’ve heard while I’ve been in this world and the night time is coming so I want to get uh get around here and hopefully stay away from the edges now but like I say this

Is the Uncharted Territory now these are the things that I have been in this this area here but as we come around here on the island these are the things that I’ve not seen this is the uh part of the island that I’ve not seen

And it might not very well be an island judged by this Earth bit here but as you can see it doesn’t seem to connect and this is actually quite a nice little area because it’s kind of like the uh the sort of opening of the river like a

River uh maybe I could build like a base on one of these sides and then have like a bridge going across as I go between like these two lands maybe that’ll be interesting I’m her at that point where I’m like oh I want to do this I want to

Do that and I have all these big Ambitions and I’ll probably never see through because my ideas and the things that I want to do will change before I get a chance to do them but I would like to get a like a real base like a or something cool something really epic

Like that something really classic like that like a castle so maybe here and then like I said like a little port or something like that would be a really good idea uh but you know we won’t uh we won’t uh we won’t be too ambitious and we

Won’t I won’t make you any promises uh as I said my uh my ideas will probably change as we go forward but coming around here I don’t think I’ve been this far this is the like uh this is the uh sort of Savannah where I usually go

To get food well I suppose not now that I’ve got bread but I usually come to get like uh food for uh to and I should be coming on land but I will just give you a I might be able to see my area if I’ve come

If I’ve not come as far as I thought I’d had uh yeah it doesn’t seem like well I should avoid the avoid the skeletons and the creepers but this is where I usually come to her to get my mobs because uh it’s quite far away and what is that over there

It’s like something flashing red I don’t know if you’ll be able to uh to see that a lot but there’s something flashing red over there so maybe I suppose it’s in Bland isn’t it maybe I’ll come down here and get my boat and then try and get as

Close to that as I can I don’t want to go up there with it being with it being a night time and that is like really inland and there’s a lot of skeletons and creepers you can just you could just see them while we were over there I think I

Just saw a little zombie poking his head over the over the hill there uh but what I’ll do yeah you can just see that it’s like something’s flashing red over there this is actually more more entertaining than I thought it’d be I didn’t think that I’d find this much this close to

Home if I park over here and then we can come up hopefully ah I know what I’ll do hello I’ll put my shield on and uh if I had a crafty table I suppose I could make myself some armor with this iron that I’ve got but I should be okay and uh

Hopefully nothing is going to give me any hassle uh there’s a spider there but I’ll try and avoid him and uh what is this I can hear him crawling behind me what is the this is so weird what the where is he there he is hello spider you

Get out of the way you are the last thing that I want to be looking at while I’m here in this fantastic new new discovery are we not even that far I think that’s where I live over there and uh I’ve just realized this is like I’ve

Been using this pillar of uh it’s obsidian uh I’ve been using this as a pillar thinking that it was just some like bit of dirt bit of gender weirdly generated dirt I’ve been using that as like a wave finder while I’ve been over here and I’ve been looking at it and thinking

Okay well I know when I see that that I’m uh that I’m uh in heading in the wrong direction and uh all this time it’s been a uh been some sort of like it’s like a nether well I don’t know what this is is this obsidian too maybe I can try breaking that

Yeah I think that’s obsidian as as well but it’s like got something in it it’s like an obsidian or something like that but it’s like another another portal like an unbuilt nether portal something like that maybe somebody could tell me and oh this is good gold is a that’s useful actually

Uh I suppose I can use I suppose I find some use for those and then some iron as well a bit of obsidian which I’ll leave and then the glycerin glycerin glistening melon slices uh which I don’t know what you do with those I think they’re like a like a brewing thing

Aren’t they this is interesting either never see I don’t even know what you’d call this like just an unfinished nether portal it’s like a starter nether portal it’s like there to help you uh get into The Nether I’m assuming that’s what it’s for as well with all of the all the

Nether rack that’s around maybe it’s like a nether explosion like or something like that but I’ll leave that behind and then oh this is the like it’s called magma is this magma I don’t even know I’m proving how how pour my knowledge of Minecraft is and uh oh God

Oh yeah I don’t want to get I don’t want to fight one mob because then I know that I’m gonna have like five others and I’m gonna end up being really really hungry and this is what I’m talking about this is what I’m talking about

Let me get out of here and let me come over here and uh no no way no way have I found a village as well I started this video thinking maybe I’d find oh right you get away I can hear a spider behind me as

Well okay I gotta get out of here I gotta get out of here I’ve got to get out of here and uh this Village uh could not come at a better time because I’m gonna have to get in there and uh get a bed or at least if they haven’t got a bed

Hide away but I do think they have they have beds now don’t they in the Villages uh from what I seed so hopefully I can find one of those while I uh while I heal up and uh there’s not one in here but what I’ll do

Is I’ll eat up heal up and this is not a good time to be in a village because I know the zombies uh attack the villagers and obviously when you find a village you’re supposed to you know sort of equip it up for for trading and things

Like that which is something that I am completely amateur at again uh but I would like to get an episode dedicated to that that’s always been on my uh on my agenda is to find a village and start uh working the sort of villager trading

System kind of stuff up is there a bed in here yeah there is but there’s a village just sleeping in it and I like his hat can I get one of those if I kill him while I get his hat uh can I kick him out of the bed

Ah yeah I’m sorry what is he a farmer and uh this is good because we have so many potatoes as well this would be uh this will be good to uh to trade with so this is something that I definitely want to dedicate an entire episode to but

This video could not have gone any better it could not have had any better return now we found two shipwrecks a nether portal and even got a little dock built and ended it in a village uh but if I come around here oh I know what I should do I should look

For the cool house because there’s always that one house with like the iron and stuff in it isn’t there uh oh God I think there’s been another one of those lava pools where it’s a where it’s caused a little bit of Mayhem but if you come around here

I think it’s this one here there’s always one with the furnaces outside and that has like iron stuff in uh yeah this is the one this is the one I remember and uh yes oh this is so good am I being attacked by something right now oh no

Just a villager what are you what’s your job nothing is that is that I guess that means he hasn’t got a uh you’ve got a job I know what you’re supposed to do with them look at that I haven’t even got an iron pickaxe this is my first iron pickaxe in the world

I feel like I had made one but I didn’t realize they hadn’t and now I’ve got three uh three good pickaxes a golden pickaxe which I know kind of breaks the blocks really quickly uh but it’s got like the oh no look at that if you’ve seen the first episode of this series

You know I have a a bit of a history with the bees but I think that one should be more or less friendly because I’m not going and breaking its home I can kind of understand now looking back why the why the bees were so pissed off

With me uh but other than that I don’t know if any of the other houses have chests in I think it’s only that one I’ll of course get a little better look around as we as we go forward but I know that you have to give them sort of

Specific tables which I can’t see any of uh I know a little bit I’ll take that torch I’m gonna I’m happy to take that torch I better make sure I don’t fall in the lava there’s even a little bell here uh uh yeah I don’t think

I don’t know how they how they entirely work uh but I know you give the villagers sort of specific tables and that sort of determines what the trades that they will give you is uh maybe this is one of them I smoker I’m not sure what that does I think it’s like just

Another just maybe like a slightly better furnace so I should take that actually because I’m gonna need to uh smelt a lot of things going forward so I apologize do whichever Village I’ve probably put out of a career by doing that but what I’m gonna do is uh

Looking out at this side I do think maybe we really are on an island I know my boat’s all the way over there but uh this would be the end of the island so it does seem that maybe we actually are on island after all uh but because I

Found so much stuff I don’t want to waste too much time going all the way back uh to the uh to the coast of Kieran Cove I really need to give this world a real name I need to give my house a real name because saying coaster here and

Shack Cove thingy it’s a it’s starting to get a little bit silly uh I will give this world a real name maybe I’ll call it the Costa caring Kingdom when I finally get myself that castle built uh but for now I’m not gonna oh oh another chest now this is just bread

However this is quite useful because I can stock up my bread Supply and I’ll leave the potatoes because I’ve got plenty of those over at home uh but I’m gonna end this video off here uh probably in the next episode I won’t be here at the Village uh but I will come

Up here in a in a future episode and uh hopefully sort of start working towards getting like the villagers trading uh that’s going to be a whole learning experience though so it really does need a sort of dedicated episode with me and oh look we’ve got one of the Iron Golems

As well that’s actually that’s really cool um nothing I’ve ever even seen one of these in the survival world I don’t want my talking about I probably have but that is going to be it for this episode I’m gonna end it here I didn’t expect to find half the things

That I found I promise you that this is in no way a planned video like it well of course the video was uh was planned but uh I never realized that I find a village and then the portal and uh and uh two shipwrecks uh that was entirely by

Chance so I think it’s probably as far as as far as exploration episodes goes uh this is probably the best exploration episode you can get uh but I’m gonna end the video off here so hopefully you did enjoy and maybe I will see you later bye-bye
