Smithing templates can be used to add armor trim to your armor but how do you do it and where do you find them let’s find out everything there are two types of templates that we’ll be concerned about here first is of course the netherite upgrade which

I’m holding now and the armor trim so first we’re going to take a look at the upgrade and you need to use a smithing table so we’re going to upgrade some Diamond gear so you need to put your gear here need to put the template here and you need to put in

Your netherrite right here so we’ve got another right helmet now same thing for all of these as you can see we’re just upgrading these quickly also for tools and weapons you also need to do this these do not get armor trim though just another right upgrade so

There we go that is how to upgrade with netherite very simple now to add armor trim we’re going to be using this the Sentry armor trim as an example first so just place that there let’s place the nether right here and you choose a color we’re going to go with some nice purple

And there’s our helmet there’s our chest plate leggings and Boots of course this doesn’t work if you want to suit up of course you can just place these up here and we’ll see what we look like and here we are looking pretty nice armor trip can be placed on any type of

Armor that includes leather dyed leather chain mail iron gold diamond and netherite of course and there are 10 colors of armor trim we’ve got red which uses redstone dust orange or brown which uses copper gold or yellow which uses gold green which uses Emerald cyan which is Diamond

Blue is lapis purple is amethyst white is nether quartz gray is iron I’ve used actually a netherite armor set here and black is netherite here we have all of the varieties of templates that you can find in Minecraft above is the material you can use to

Duplicate them so you don’t have to keep searching for them but let’s take a look at how to duplicate them as we will be going through these as we discuss the locations you need to use a crafting table to duplicate so you need to place the

Template at the top so in this case we’re looking at the netherride upgrade and the duplication material is Netherrack and you need seven diamonds so this can get expensive so there we go we’ve got a duplication now if we look at Sentry armor trim for example the material we need is Cobblestone and

Again we need all these diamonds and there we go it’s been duplicated there are a lot of places that you could find the templates so first of all these two the netherrite upgrade and snout template you can find in Bastion remnants netherright upgrade requires Netherrack to duplicate in snow to

Requires Black Stone so let’s take a look at where you can find these you’re guaranteed to find netherite upgrades templates in the treasure room in the Bastion as you can see we’ve got two right here but in other chests it can be a bit a bit more difficult it includes the snout

Template as you can see nothing here next up is the coast armor trim this can be found at shipwrecks and it uses Cobblestone so let’s take a look at where you can find it there is a chance to find the template in all of the chests in a shipwreck like this one

And here we have Dune which can be found in desert temples of course you use Sandstone to duplicate them let’s go to a desert temple you will need to descend down into this pit if you’re going to get the next one so let’s see if we’ve got one and there it

Is already there’s two in this one actually we have a total of six in this pyramid next up is I this one’s a little bit different because this is found in the stronghold but the material used to duplicate is from the end you need n Stone

Let’s take a look at where you can find this here you’ll need to look for library and alter chests in this Library we’ve got one there and one here nice going back to the nether we have rib which can be found in Nether fortresses to duplicate it you need Netherrack so

Let’s find out where we can find this it may take you some time to find one but uh in any chest you have a possibility of getting the rib armor trim and here is Sentry the one we’ve been using you can find this in Pillager outposts and you use Cobblestone to

Duplicate it so let’s show where you can find it you need to go to the only chest and you will have a possibility of finding two the next two are silence and Ward these are both found in the ancient city they both use cobbled deep slate to melt duplicated

And I have to say silence is my favorite any chest in the ancient city is a candidate for finding what you’re looking for beware the shriekers ah there’s one up next is Spire now this one you need to go to the end and find an End City

That’s where you can get this and to duplicate it you need a purple block so let’s show where we can find this check all of the chests you can in an end City you may be lucky there’s one next is Vex now this one can be found in Woodland mansions

And you need Cobblestone to duplicate it let’s take a look you’ll need to search the chess in a mansion because you’re not guaranteed to find one here either and then we have wild which can be found in jungle temples this one uses mossy cobblestone to duplicate it let’s take a

Look at where you can find this in the jungle temple you will actually find two that is if it does have any all the previous ones could be found in chests now these next four wayfinder shaper host and Razer they’re all found in trail ruins but you’re gonna need a

Brush and you’re gonna have to be brushing some suspicious gravel for it terracotta is what you use to duplicate them so let’s see if we can find some of these the trail ruins may be one of the most time consuming places to find farmer trims but keep trying all you need to do

The trim that is unaffected which is good now secondly can we change the trim let’s take a look so I’ve already got this with Sentry armor trim I’d like to see if I can change it to silence and let’s change it to this color and what do you know you can

As you can see it is now silence and diamond now let’s see if we can upgrade Diamond to netherite if we already have a trim on it so we’ll put that in here we’ve got our smithing template here and of course we need the netherride ingot
