The Gold Rush in Locus Aurea
Gold Mining Commences
In a surprising turn of events, gold mining in the Locus Aurea kicked off just a day after the Union’s establishment. Ten miners from each of the nine cities were dispatched to accelerate the excavation of the gold cave. Under the guidance of Ruber, the miners were directed to the exact location of the cave, a secret known only to a few.
Conflict Erupts
As the mining operations unfolded, tensions rose when Viridis, alongside the leaders of Forte Eterna and Oriente, decided to launch an attack on the Union army guarding the gold mine. Viridis, seizing the opportunity, led his army into the mine, urging the miners to intensify their efforts. Simultaneously, Forte Eterna’s builders initiated the construction of a barrier to block access to the gold cave.
Claiming Ownership
Upon learning of the escalating conflict, leaders from other cities swiftly arrived at Locus Aurea. Viridis, asserting his authority, declared, “This is My Land and My Gold.” It became evident that Viridis had no intentions of sharing the gold with the other cities, raising suspicions about his true motives for joining the Union.
Impending Conflict
Ruber, after a brief exchange with Viridis, foresaw the brewing conflict intensifying. The discord over the ownership of the gold cave threatened to unravel the fragile unity established by the Union.
