Made using Minecraft Forge for 1.20.1. The core mod is TerraFirmaCraft, however the full modlist can be found here.
Exploring for Copper
Our protagonist sets out to find copper, a crucial resource in the game. They discover native copper rocks on the surface, indicating a large underground deposit. After marking the location, they collect the native copper pieces and return home.
Smelting Process
Back at the hut, our protagonist shapes clay into saw blade and pickaxe molds. They then place the native copper into a clay vessel for smelting and use a pit kiln to heat the vessel. Unfortunately, the copper solidifies before they can retrieve it, so they must re-melt it in a new fire pit.
Tool Crafting
After successfully melting the copper, our protagonist pours it into the molds and cools the tool heads in water. They then craft the tool heads with sticks to create finished tools, such as a saw for splitting logs into lumber and a pickaxe for mining.
Exploring the Caves
Equipped with their new tools, our protagonist ventures into a cave to mine exposed copper deposits. They use support beams to prevent cave-ins and gather as much ore as possible. After a successful mining trip, they collect native copper from the surface above the cave.
Conclusion
After smelting and mining, our protagonist has gathered over ten copper ingots, a valuable resource for crafting tools and armor in the game.
By now, the charcoal pit has finished burning, and the protagonist gathers the charcoal to use as fuel for future smelting and crafting endeavors.
Overall, the process of smelting copper in Primitive Technology Minecraft (TerraFirmaCraft) is a challenging yet rewarding experience, requiring careful planning and resource management.
