Create: Arcane Engineering EP01

All righty welcome to the channel I’m for Baden we’re going to be playing create Arcane engineering Super Fun Pack let me adjust some of the audio here that seems super loud if anybody has an issue with it let me know in the comments suggest it here

All right so it’s a pack that functions around create ours Nouveau and a few other magic mods there’s quite a few mods in here let me go ahead and create a new world call it survival normal data packs more World options choose a world seed and we’ll go with all right that’ll do

Create the new world and see what happens with it I have fiddled with this pack a little bit and I’m actually running the dev Branch version so it has sophisticated storage and a few other fixes to the quests it also added in an audio Muffler not sure I haven’t messed with that one

Yet I’m happy they included the sophisticated storage because the early game storage was kind of I hate being forced to manage inventory as part of the game Loop and the either a regular chest or functional storage which is great for item filtering and for using in the Contraptions but is terrible for

Restoring all of the insane number of things that we have to get it was not fun so being able to get sophisticated storage and set up an early game storage system before we get into the applied energistics portion is going to be super helpful after the world Gins I’m gonna say the

Goal is find a village or find some sheep after you punch the tree and then we’ll get into looking at the quests and the chapters and seeing what we have access to and what we can go ahead and take care of create is definitely one of my favorite mods Dave

Had for Minecraft I’m only recently into Minecraft we have a that got into it and by I mean child before somebody gets offended so we’ve been kind of forced to get into Minecraft I don’t know what other six-year-old has modded Minecraft on a server at home in

Multiple instances of it but I’m sure there’s a few and he’ll definitely hop on to curse for germodern then go through and say oh I want that one and that one and that one he has a lot of guns not necessarily for all the guns in the Minecraft but he enjoys it so

A lovely cube.js errors that won’t be a problem until later I can fix it by then all right let’s see where we are Redwood not what I really want to punch down right now uh tiny little Oaks over here we’ve got more shrub land all right so I guess we head north and

See what’s up there well I guess we need to wait for the other book to show up there’s a fourth book for Applied energistics that shows up after server creation it just takes it a second to show up go ahead and turn off my FPS display because it’s just going to

Annoy me that my potato of a computer can’t keep up where is it this is a tiny little Redwood there it is it’s coming on the left hand side I hate having to cut down trees early that I can’t actually like cut all the way down I don’t like leaving him hanging up

There so that’s why I said I didn’t want to cut down a redwood generally the three by three pattern of these is miserable to deal with as far as cutting them down this should give me enough logs to go and make the crafting table while I’m up here here in just a second

And while most will not make a wooden ax at the beginning I don’t mind doing it to get rid of a tree because it annoys me that much hey all right so now we can go down to the ground which is probably going to spend the rest this ax all the leaves falling

There is a combination of a fast Decay mod they have and then immersive weathering leaves all the junk on the ground slightly annoying sometimes but it also has all the sticks and things so we’ll end up breaking it all go ahead and drop and get our pickaxe

Since there is nice exposed Stone right here normals that’s insanely loud I don’t know what that was hostile creatures will take that down to 60 voice speech all of this is down super low so I don’t know why oh well I guess I’ll just have to deal with occasionally super loud items

So normally I get 10 or 15 to get started and then we need to go get exploring to find sheep and or a bed or a village I can steal one from I’m not really a fan that we don’t have some sort of clock because I’m lazy and

Don’t like looking at what time it is in the game and I’m generally just kind of bad at guessing what time it is all right so as far as the quests we have this good luck Quest here click it and we’ll grab all the things which gets us a backpack

Uh the backpack is from sophisticated backpacks it’s kind of limited this one is nine the next one you get when you get a brass sheet from create and then a radiant something or other that I have no idea about I thought I disabled that I will disable

The FTB backups as far as the mod pack and that’s the only real change that I’ll make because I don’t care for it I don’t need it and it just adds additional stuff for the game to process don’t need these until I get a furnace

And then we have the super op early game food sweet all right time to go north see what we can find in addition to trying to find a Bed we’re going to be on the lookout for a mineral tree because we will need that for making andesite alloy

If you played the create mod this is a little bit different um the normal in-game recipe for getting andesite from Iron nuggets and andesite mixed together is no longer there you get it from a mineral tree which you get the resin from or shards directly sometimes and then make mineral shards

And mix that with andesite and that gives you the andesite alloy that’s just more Redwood so we’re gonna make a boat I usually end up making a boat early game to go explore and it’s just that much faster than trying to navigate all the terrain

And in this pack in particular a lot of the early game travel stuff is limited like the way stones mod is included you cannot break the way stones you cannot rename the way Stone well you can break them but you don’t get to keep the waist down it has a filtering cube.js to

Prevent it from hitting your inventory so you either find a way stone or get used to walking then goal of the pack is centered around the train which makes sense where they’ve limited the early game travel or even mid game travel there’s a few options the artifacts are reliquary one of the two

Adds the rending Gale if you are able to get chickens to keep the feathers up and going there is a slime sling that you can knock yourself all around with forces of course boats I think I think we go West up here with the addition of ours Nouveau I also

Need to find some gold early get some gold nuggets and go out and hunt down starbuncles because the starbuncle wheels early are great for setting up your first few machines that having to run a ton of shafts and cogs and starbuncle wheel and a gold block make

2048 Su and I haven’t checked the speed but it’s pretty quick good enough to run your first Cobblestone farm and get all that going yeah there should be some sheep up there oh there’s metal tree we’ll stop and get that and then we’ll move on you need to get a couple mineral trees

Early you can get by with one but if you get unlucky with the drop I don’t know that it’s guaranteed to drop a shrub or a sapling if you get the shrub it has to be washed first and then mixed with mineral berries which you get as part of the drops okay

Before you can use it and plant it this would be the mineral tree there’s one that looks similar but it’s much bigger and that’s part of the R’s Nouveau pack it’s uh one of the magic trees I cannot remember archwood trees I believe that’s what they’re called I cannot remember the

Life of me on top of my head oh great it’s one of the tall ones which should hopefully mean that we get a sapling instead of a shrub which should let me replant it much quicker when we find somewhere to settle down it’s a lot of exploration early with

This pack is usually your best bet there’s some structures that are included there’s an old factory a warehouse a workhouse a warped Cottage I think the missing one as far as has good stuff early game like you can get big chests of create items or as Nouveau items runic tablets

And the runic tablets are later insane you can take a runic tablet and if you’re familiar with create you mix a runic tablet and a blaze burner an empty one and you get a full Blaze burner without having to go to the nether at all a little ridiculous and we got two

Saplings two shrubs so we’re gonna have to get a washing setup up that was still pretty lucky normally I see one or the other per tree there’s some viridium that’ll be useful later now if I do not find enough sheep or a village to get a bed

We may be kind of hosed tonight and have to just stay in the boat because I’m not that good at Minecraft I am not good enough to wander around for an entire night with all the mobs this one I have learned that the hard way

This is one of the oh the biomes biomes it’s kind of a pain to see anything right I’m only grabbing these because we can use four leather to upgrade and get four slots on our backpack I’ve got enough food to last right now so I don’t

Necessarily need it but I do want the leather because bag space early sucks uh two leather I need two more not getting lucky huh I thought I had read something somewhere at one point that the ax doesn’t give you the early game draft so we’ve got at

Least two Leathers so far so it does drop it I don’t know if using a sword instead of an ax actually affects anything if there’s four do you have any sheep on the radar pigs no no sheep all right back to the boat this may not end up being this super

Entertaining first episode but we’ll go with it I’m kind of particular normally about where I like to start settling down because once I start building the create machines I don’t like moving them laziness whatever until I have somewhere an easy way to move things around I don’t like building all of these pieces

And then having to tear them all down rebuild them later hmm we go left or right there’s a couple star bunkers so hopefully we can find something around that bend up there well we’ve hit night time obviously so things are going to start popping up

Getting on the land is going to be a little on the dangerous side and the salt creepers are out tiny little island cows oh there’s some sheep can I get to the sheep and whack them go ahead and pre-craft so when I get the wool I can just drop it

Because I don’t think that watching me row around all night is going to be oh there’s skeletons nope nope nope nope nope normally when I play I leave the uh keep inventory rule turned off so I get to keep it on keep inventory true so I get to keep uh

Inventory when I die because again just not that good at the game yeah working on it we’ll get there but since it’s a stream and it could be rather entertaining if I lose everything I have to go try to find it again I left it off this time

That and it’s forcing me to play a little more conservatively I guess there’s another mineral tree I’ll go ahead and Mark that so when I find a bed I can get it oh there’s Sheep by the shore might be able to snag those get the wool

And sleep so we can just do some actual exploring that’s three all close together we’ll try it one two there we go have to let me know in the comments if that is horrendously loud on your end when the alert goes off or it’s just in my ears if that’s a problem

All right since the man she sleeps tonight we can go over here and get that mineral tree I can remove that Waypoint and then go ahead and use the leather on the backpack so you place the backpack sneak click sneak click with the four leather

And then we have our slots in there so it was full originally now I’ve got four additional works out a little bit in there it’s another tall one oh maybe getting the short ones where I don’t have to pillar up at all I went up a little too tall that’s okay

And back down we go seems kind of wasteful on the ax but again I hate leaving behind heard a zombie cool all right so we’ve come in a little bit I don’t see any of like the early game structures that we’re looking for I have seen viridium and Crimson so far

Later on when we get to picking like a more permanent base area it’s going to be important to find the four big uh geodes and get close to them because they do offer us an infinite supply of zinc copper iron and gold if we can get to the geodes

We’ll take one more spin around and see if we can’t get somewhere that’s a little bit easier to build with and it would be nice if I found like an andesite cave I don’t have the compass as of yet because I don’t have any Redstone because I’ve yet to find a chest or

Start mining beat but there is a specific biome called The andesite Cave it’s literally just wall-to-wall huge Blobs of andesite and while you don’t need andesite in a cave to mine too terribly much because they added a recipe here where you turn gravel blast it and it or furnace it

Whatever it turns into anesite straight I do need some to get started it looks like this might be decent if I can find andesite which means I would need iron pretty quick to make a scan tool speaking of we can take a second and look at the chapter one this is the

General progression menu so you have first chapter regular first chapter magic and it progresses all the way through oh they added this is new originally these were just lumped together they weren’t lumped into Tech magic and fun all right so like we get the oh that’s fancy that’s new

So if I make the first saw and 64 coins then I get an eternal spell it essentially saw so I don’t have to constantly replace it on the automation machine this is what it is the alloy scanner so that is one iron ingot in four six

And then I can look around and find where there is a diorite or andesite pocket underneath me scan’s the entire chunk I do not recommend running around and spamming it as it’s not good for the uh frame rates but generally I’m assuming a lot of people are gonna have a more beefy computer

Than I’m currently running is this that’s reinforest I really want to settle somewhere over here because it’s got the animals I want and it’s got starbuncles but again the early game on this you’re better off just doing some exploring and finding either one of the structures or

An andesite cave somewhere where you can get somewhat of an early game leg up and then once we get some mining there’s plenty of caves underneath they’re going to have campsites campsites and those can contain mimics from I think it’s artifacts or reliquary one of the two

Which can give you some pretty cool little power-ups this also comes with a version of complementary shaders which I love my frame rates don’t love it but I think it looks very nice and this is currently the potato setting on that just again this is a laptop

I’m not going to over tax it just for a few extra pretty frames I normally don’t have this much trouble finding one of the early game structures I mean on the other save I probably got 20 or 30 different starts just to kind of see how the seeds worked out and they

Were always present somewhere I’ve got cheats turned off so I can’t just use the locate command before I get to use that I’ll have to get the item that lets me do it because the structure compass and the Nature’s Compass are both included in this mod packs and you can use them

Just have to get iron and redstone you’ll see these little Circles of flowers apparently underneath those somewhere is diamonds at not the normal level I just don’t want to do that much early excavation for a couple diamonds at some point we get what they call the Eternal Stella which makes any item you

Click with it unbreakable anyway so rather than farming a ton of diamonds I would rather here we go we got a this is one of those big pretty Villages I don’t know which what adds these or if they’re actually part of the vanilla game I haven’t

Played enough to see them but I’ve only seen them in this mod pack so I assume one of the mods does it but they’re huge and I always have something wrong with them like the terrain always breaks something I’m gonna wait for looter to catch up this happens every now and again we’ll

Click on it and it takes forever to generate the inventory I don’t know what it’s doing and while that’s going on I can’t access any of the other things can’t sort my inventory yep you notice the Avatar is kind of ugly looking I had a themed skin on him originally but

I didn’t think that was appropriate to be on a stream or a video of some sort so I just stripped it down to the most basic I could somebody has any ideas or how to create these character skins that look reasonable I am all for hearing it

I do not have that kind of artistic bone go ahead and take the amethyst cluster and it’s just not going to return that item until Luke gets done I’ve only ever had this problem with that looter mod and I don’t know what is taking it so long

It usually eventually Catches Up by now there we go oh bundle that’s super awesome a compass don’t care about Alpha Island let’s take the emeralds I’ll also take your books thank you very much there’s a couple things we can get with books and that saves me a ton of paper

Later to get an enchanting station there’s the amethyst that I wanted I cannot off the top my head Recall why I want the amethyst but I want it and I don’t I’m sure there’s a very good reason sweet two bundles two compasses so I can have structure

And I don’t care about a beach don’t care about empty Maps I think there was a reason I wanted this yeah this plus this makes the pockets which on our backpack we can put two of them to get six slots a piece so another 12 slots on our bag as soon

As we find a couple iron is awesome and yes I will shamelessly loot anything I can out of a village I don’t play with the Villagers generally so I don’t care if they are missing a job or whatever I already have a bed don’t need to steal that

Might get those blast furnaces doubtful there we go copper gold nuggets I’ll take you Unbreaking efficiency don’t care about the stone we’ll keep the nuggets on our bar so we can Chuck them at a star bundle if we happen to see one but in all of that I didn’t get iron

Right now there’s one iron ore oh well you’re not hard to make I don’t want to waste the bag space I have a problem with playing this in early game I end up hoarding everything so I don’t end up getting like that do I need the potatoes I can’t remember

Apparently I need it for Farmer’s Delight I have not had a chance to really play with Farmer’s Delight if somebody has I would be great to know in the comments if it’s something I should go for like super early or if I can just let it be for a

Bit until I really get established because generally my first goal here is going to be to get my Cobblestone gender up and running and generating iron so I don’t have to keep constantly hunting for it and I can get away from stone tools is it dark enough for me to steal a bed

Yes so in these oh another loot chest I guess we’ll take the potatoes take the book I’m not going to mess with the feather all right hopefully this Castle is the variant with an extra chest in the front hidden oh ladder anything get up here hey Jess

A lot of times in The Villages these chests that are upstairs in this particular Village variant don’t have anything good in them sometimes they do some of them are just straight up empty I haven’t altered any of the settings for looter or any of that so I haven’t

I don’t even know if you can I’m not sure if there’s anything good to be had diamond pickaxe diamond all right so we’re going to throw this in here grab the iron nuggets I need an extra slot after that that’ll be they’re the books in there for now throughout my crafting table

And you plus u no I have to use the table that’s over here there we go so we made pockets drop that add the leather pocket six more slots put things that I don’t need to look at right now in here and go get my stuff I do want the books

I’m not gonna pick that up for now I’m not going to the nether anytime soon so I guess I can take their andesite flooring if I don’t find any quickly have I looked in here nope have not been in here yet give me your books we can’t handle that many more before

We’re gonna have to 61 I can get three more books sharpness and knock back don’t care oh we’re gonna keep one stack of books that should be enough to get the early books that we actually care about and then have enough to make is it enough three books 15 45 yeah that

Should be enough let’s get an enchanting table up and running where in the flip is this castle entrance there we go there might be a chest right here under this tree yep I want the rabbit hide want the foot want the string don’t care about the rest

I’m guessing these oil things are for uh pneumaticraft later but I don’t have a use for them as of yet just check with these guys anything good not worth spending that many gems on if I was gonna stick around I might have taken it because then I could

Theoretically level up that villager but I don’t like I said engage in the village thing too often it’s just it takes too much time and I’m not creative enough to make a village that actually looks good so I said sometimes there’s nothing good in here and I have yet to explore these castles

And find another room other than that one and the bottom one that have anything worth stealing so off we go is there a way Stone in this Village a lot of times you’re going to find a way Stone in the village but I don’t see the square on the map that would indicate

That there is one this is the Lush desert portion very pretty but not fun to build around all right so we’ll just check a couple more of these houses and then we will move on leather Emerald potato there’s a couple of recipes in this mod pack that specifically require rabbit hide

And I don’t know how many of you have tried to hunt down rabbits they are not the easiest things to catch I may attempt at some point on this playthrough to farm them but I haven’t ever actually done that so I have to look up what they eat and all

That I’m assuming carrots I mean let’s be stereotypical here I’m assuming that the rabbits like carrots hmm but I’ve also seen the jump so I’m guessing I need to build an enclosure it’s either two or three high or has a roof on it and then as part of one of these mod

Packs there’s a wild and Hunter that’ll actually kill the uh livestock animals not sure if I don’t believe that particular variant can go over a fence there’s also a wild and stalker that turns into a bat type thing and flies but it doesn’t it’s not hostile towards

The farm animals as far as I know oh see here’s a star bundle these little buggers are gold and they take gold just throw a nugget at them wait for the fairies world come steal it and then poop off and you go to Starbucks I think I got two there yes

Once you get up to eight and mix it with the water where you get a starbuckle wheel which is the awesomeness I guess we’re hopping back in the boat I really want to find one of the early game structures at this point The Only Thing Worth

Stopping for is to get a star bunker or two until we find one of those and can rate it then we need to stop and get some wood and get some early game storage set up or we can go exploring again I’ve got two compasses so I don’t need

To go and do extreme mining early it’s just going to be getting to one of the structures seeing what create goodies I end up with for free and then getting the Cobble gin up which should take care of most things early the regular recipes are generally included except for the andesite and um

I think there’s a couple of things missing I have to double check I haven’t played this pack super deep to get far into it it’s just setting up kind of the early game another star bungle I will go and raid this little fella give me shards yes yes

Just the one all right I’ll take it uh bricks and Way Stone maybe Way Stone and that’s one of the dungeons they got added in so go ahead and pick our boat back up because I don’t know if we’re gonna come back this direction this might be a place worth stopping

Because this mahogany I think is stupid pretty as far as the woods that got added in this pack and these dungeons can be rewarding but super dangerous like I’m not going in there until I at least have some armor because it’s essentially just floors of mob spawners

See like right there that’s one of the floors that’s just exposed that’s just an open mob spawner I could probably go get that one because it’s daylight and there’d be a treasure chest along with it but I really don’t wanna I’ll just mark it I don’t want to have to climb back up

Out of there it’s already getting late what are you glowing Grotto that’s not the one we need uh one of the mods adds the at Starbucks run one of them uh Quark Quark has is included in this which has Stone Wings which gives you the heart of diamond

Which lets you make the pick a ring have yet to get to really play with it but I hear it’s super awesome but to get that you have to whack a stoneling and normally the advice is to hold a diamond and the stone link won’t run away from you

But in this particular pack they have it configured so the glimmering wheel is uh in use which means I have to go to the glimmering wheel to get some mushroom that grows there and that’s what that’ll let me get a hold of the stone things or

A bow I usually don’t carry a bow so I have trouble catching the little buggers actually I have yet to get one to put a point effect uh they might take a second so let’s go ahead and sleep so we don’t spawn a bunch of monsters and have to deal with that nonsense

Getting one of these early is kind of lucky these starbuncles won’t respawn but in addition to getting the starbuncle shards there’s like 56 wool right there as soon as I get some shears come here a little starbuncle little fairy swirl sweet we’re up to eight shards

I don’t really want to take this apart at this point until I have shears because it takes so long so we’ll just mark it and hopefully find somewhere soon that’s worth stopping at if not if I don’t find either an andesite cave or one of the structures early then

This is going to take forever I’m just going to mine down to get the pieces I need for uh one of the compasses actually do I have enough to make that let’s check oh Compass isn’t in my bag I don’t have enough Redwood saplings okay okay I got to get saplings

It’s the compass four saplings and four logs makes the Nature’s Compass which is not quite as useful as the structure Compass at this point but it is useful it would let me find an andesite cave which would let me get started on at least building something and not just

Wondering about the entire time water but I personally don’t mind wondering about I enjoy looking at the world Jen and what it’s done is that another dungeon super close or is that some sort of vanilla thing looks dangerous let’s have a look-see and most times I would be super excited

About seeing bamboos that I could get a scaffolding but with create they’ve got the andesite and copper and brass scaffolding it’s literally just throwing one of those Metals into a stone cutter and you have scaffolds no string which I definitely appreciate super awesome yes we got the bunny slippers that’s exciting um

We can put the rabbit’s foot up there we can put the books up there because I’m not gonna get any more likelihood of getting amethyst is pretty low go and put the this one here the Wix you take that I will after we get done here go into

The settings and disable the sound for this it makes horrible noises when you take damage um I probably want to take all of this redstone thank you sorry all right yes structure sweet structure reasonably flat land it looks like we might be able to settle down here soon

Hopefully we don’t run into a key UB before I can sleep somewhere a couple of the mods have really nasty mobs to run into in the early game like I don’t have any armor on really so if something comes into text it’s not a basic zombie I’m gonna be kind of hosed

But I no longer take fall damage so that is glorious that and I can jump two blocks and this is one of the better structures to get in the early game it’s kind of stupid dangerous but we’ll see if I can do it without dying or losing everything this time

All right so go ahead and drop the bed storage I need to get planks foreign let’s see let’s see if there is a variant of the sophisticated storage chest for Redwood I honestly don’t remember it would be super handy that says Barrel no there’s not so we’ll just make a standard Barrel

Drop it and then make the upgrade which is basic tier upgrade all right put in anything that I actually care about I don’t have iron so I can’t make any of the good stuff I enjoy the sophisticated storage because I enjoy barrels more so than uh chess I will need the pickaxe

I need some crap blocks so some dirt and then I’ll want a shovel to get rid of the dirt and pick up some extra dirt over here there are these Ender eye traps in these things and they always end up getting me I can just claim the chunk and then they can’t blow

Up but I don’t want to deal with the booze from that and I have yet to figure out how to get this thing running right so I always end up just breaking in this way which wall is that on see right there below on the left hand

Side that would be the under eye so I need to cover that up without looking at it and if it decides to go off there’s not a whole lot at this particular juncture that I could do about it I’ll take that and a site though so we’re gonna put a block here

And a block there and that successfully covers it up functions much like an angry Enderman you look at it it gets mad it blows up an insane amount of TNT in the wall behind it okay look at all that goodies I am standing on the deadly block

All you have to do is not look at it there we go so we came out with 2017 TNT and Ender eye that’s worthwhile now we look straight at the ground don’t look at anything else so there’s an Ender eye over there on the floor I want to not look at it

There should be one behind me yeah there he is so there is a Gantry in the way so we will mine the Gantry without looking at the eye take these out dirt block dirt block that one’s covered I’ll come take away their TNT at some point

But for now I want to not die there is one right there under that skeleton and it looks like I should be able to put this on the wall what do I need to get rid of this skeleton that’s pickaxe and then put dirt there is one more

That I think is safer to go through the wall and take its T and T out before I don’t know if this one has TNT you have to take out the TNT before the eye because it primes the T and T as soon as it starts fizzing at you

Which is not good obviously all right that should be all of them if you hear something Fizz I’m just hosed I’m going to die and be sent back upstairs without all of my stuff all right let’s see if we get lucky we got a mixer a fan good

Weighted ejectors are good early here because you don’t really get uh mechanical belts if you played create normally you get a mechanical belt just by uh burning up some kelp but in this one the mechanical belts require rubber which I don’t normally get for a bit

Until I get a few of these arboreal extractors up and running and I like to do that on fir trees because they give the most foreign this is the first time I’ve ever actually cleared one of these without blowing something up I mean I’m not done yet but it’s looking pretty good

I guess that’s how you do it good to know all right now we can focus on getting Loot and getting out of here all right anything good I’m checking quickly just to kind of see what kind of goodies we ended up with and then I’ll start porting it all out

Just a double trinket got a drill another couple mixers that’s good we need those one breast funnel worth having a blaze burner excellent a rope pulley I could use that if I get a few more drills I’ll take you put on some fancy legs with my bunny slippers

Brunick tablet excellent so we have a runic tablet and we have a blaze burner so we have access to Copper or uh brass we’ve got the water wheel we need to make a Starbucks wheel no other super fancy artifacts but yeah I’ll deal with that I’m gonna go ahead and Port everything

Out and loot it and then I’ll start this back up once we get to somewhere we can settle down thanks for watching like subscribe if you want to see more of it otherwise see you next time
