Made a video on it it’s about seven minutes long it’s the last episode that I uploaded explaining the reasons why but we are moving on to ultimate alchemy this pack was designed by our wtmr who is the mod author of extra utilities so you may be familiar with that

And he basically designed this mod pack himself to kind of fit his play style of Minecraft and it’s it’s been very popular lots of people have been doing series on it and it caught my attention as something that was very interesting and unique which is what I like to see

In a minecraft mod pack so we’re gonna be playing it so let’s have a look so the first thing we need to do is create a world so we are going to call this ultimate alchemy and we are going to create it from a template because that’s

How you play this pack this is a completely blind playthrough so I’ve not seen any like tips or tricks or anything like that so I have no idea what’s going on all I know is that we have to go towards the forestry machines or tinkers construct and that’s all I know so let’s

Get into it and I also lower the music volume as well because obviously it’s a new pack so all my setting this don’t apply so that’s gonna be very interesting okay so the start of this is going to be very interesting and you’ll see why in just a minute

I-i’ve booted up the pack once just to see like you know what the starting situation is like and all that but let’s get into it okay so my fov is very low so let’s fix that we will lower the music volume just a tad and put it down

True clay the goal good luck from temer so we are going to need quite a lot of things we are going to need to eventually craft the true play which doesn’t look too difficult I mean we’ve got cobblestones some grass lattice with the skeleton skull a diamond some log

And emerald quartz and some puzzle I mean yeah okay the nether star might be a bit difficult but there’s a catch for example let us say for want to make lapis lazuli you think oh that’s easy we just mine it well not in this patch yeah it goes a bit further than that

There is a lot of large-scale crafting that we’re gonna be doing so you’re gonna be expecting that but what we’re gonna do first off is we’re going to take a look at what we’ve got so we’ve got the one Prairie we’ve got the Foresters manual and I think as many

Also those those are going to be our to go to to begin with we do have a mechanical crafter and we have a flux capacitor so that’s good to know this is reinforced we have a struction want a builder’s wand item and liquid trans Decatur’s and an acceleration wand now we’re gonna switch

This to fastest mode because why won’t we now as you’ll remember from the book we do in fact have creative flight from the get-go so that’s a new thing that I’ve not seen in a pack so that’s gonna be interesting so what I think we should

Do first off is maybe get ourselves a base of operations now I’m gonna take some wood but what I’m actually gonna do is I’m going to use some cobblestone to get started here just because I don’t want to be I don’t want to be working from from a wood platform just because

Has a tendency to burn and it’s not very good so what we’re gonna do is we’re gonna grab ourselves our builders wand I think and let’s just let’s make an outcropping so let’s say what three three here and we’re just gonna go all the way out here just because I don’t

Want to be anywhere near that centerpiece now we do have to keep in mind this is also going to cause some mob spawns so but that’s fine that’s not a problem for me I’m gonna go one two three four five six one two three four one two and that should be alright I

That okay that’s better I like that better okay so first things first some planks a crafting table and a crafting station that’s gonna be our go-to I think so there we are we have a crafting station we have made progress I know it was exciting wasn’t it we were all

Worried for a second that I wouldn’t get anywhere okay so we’re gonna go ahead and make ourselves a chest I’m going to plop that bad boy there and and you know what we’ll make a second one I’ll make a second one there we are pop that down and now we’ve got access

To our chests in our crafting station isn’t it magnificent okay so let’s stock up on some stuff okay we’re gonna pop that over there we can probably put the instructions in the books away we don’t need those for now we’ll keep all of this stuff on us now I won’t have a look

At the mechanical proctor because I I don’t know I’ve actually used this before but I guess this is a way to like automate stuff very quickly so that’s that’s gonna be useful okay so let’s get ourselves some sticks and we’re gonna grab ourselves some planks and we’re

Gonna go like so get ourselves some patterns because those are always gonna be useful so we’ve got part builder we’ve got a stencil table we’ve got a tool station and then we’ve got we need a chest as well whoops for that so we’ve got our pattern

I want to look at is the probably the forestry machines although actually I’m thinking how does the smeltery work because if it uses clay which requires grill which is gravel and sand oh so it doesn’t require clay to make the grout in this which is interesting so my third

My first thought process is going to how are we gonna get the gravel it looks like there is a recipe for that which requires iron pickaxes cobble and bowls but we’d need so if you do pulverizes or something like that or the crusher the crusher might be a good call sack

Requires iron a machine blocks and pistons how are we gonna get the iron that’s a good question so you can smelt compressed cobblestone into iron that is good to know that is very good tonight so let’s get ourselves a furnace going and we’ll pop that bad boy here there we are

So we’ve got wood and we’ve got you know cobble so we’re all good there alright so let’s let’s grab some compressed cobblestone I’ll grab one more actually OOP oh yeah and then Chuck that in there actually we’re gonna burn some some first that’s what we’re gonna do first

If there’s Any recipes that I’m missing here because there must be a way to get them you see that’s what I’m thinking so I guess a crusher is still my go-to option here machine block is marble okay marble how do we get that that’s from diary which we get from nether quartz or bone meal

Okay so bone meal we’re gonna have to get from bones obviously but we can get them from peat and compost which is interesting that is interesting so we can get compost peat is obviously going to be doing a peat bog type farm that’s something we can do or we can do like

The standard mob farm so I’m just trying to get my bearings for what we can get and how also by crushing wool which is interesting string which we can get from hemp so maybe that’s a good route to go we’ll see we’ll see okay so that’s almost done now the charcoal let’s see

If we can at least get some iron done so we should be able to just do this and get ourselves some iron in which case we can start working towards yeah there we go oh we get a lot of iron from it as well you know that is actually reasonable

Okay that’s good to know so let’s have a look at what our furnace options are furnished make sure utilities tea requires bricks which require smelting gravel okay interesting Paul Fraser or the crusher which once again requires the whole you know marble stuff and redstone which we have to get

From pulverizing so I I don’t know how we’re gonna easily get to this point because I don’t think the tin is gonna be easy to get looks like that’s using the cans though we don’t want to do that rip regardless we’ve got the iron which is a start

We do have iron which is a start so we’ve got that at least so we have our mechanical drafting now that does that require a grid power I feel like that will let me just double check yes so that’s probably gonna oh no no it’s doing automatically okay this is

Good I’ve never played with this before so that’s that this is new to me okay so let’s quickly get ourselves some torches I didn’t line those off exactly right but that’s fine I’m just gonna quickly light up the area a little bit just kind of give myself some protection in the

Evening okay so that is outputting compressed cobblestone so in which case I’m gonna be making use I am going to make a furnace I am going to grab some of our item transfer gaiters I’m going to hop over here what I’m gonna do is I’m gonna keep some stuff stocked in

There I’m gonna grab our Dewar and I’m gonna pop this here I think I’m actually gonna need to move this one closer I just realized so at a minute so I need to put that like there break this down this is very slow without an axe mistakes were in

Fact made here there we go okay it’s like that and then I can go so I can put the charcoal in there like this boop boop oh that’s out putting the charcoal that’s not right so that’s cooking stoned okay that’s fine so I wonder do I need

The furnace to be now I wonder if it needs to be like this so if I can put I don’t want it there I want it I’m just trying to work out how this is supposed to work because I thought that furnaces could output could output on the side

And that would output the product like does the output maybe come from the bottom that’s an interesting question oh I’ve lost that now that’s gone okay let’s let’s have a look so is that gonna output the charcoal no okay okay interesting interesting so let’s try this I’m gonna break that we’re

Gonna grab our mechanical crafter this is going to be a very interesting setup I realize okay so brief that so if I want this in here like so so it’s going to pour it into the input and then what I want to do is plug that

Hole up before I forget and then what I want to do is I want to have it craft Those and I want to take that out that’s fine so it should be outputting compress cobblestone that’s putting the compressed cobblestone in there and then it should output the contents into this basic draw if I am correct which I am so we now have automated iron production

Which is awesome and I really do need to turn those sounds down quite a lot I think I’m going to 54% there you go so if I speed this up we now have a stack of iron pre-made very nice very nice and this is just gonna keep doing that

So one thing I do want to keep an eye on is mechanical crafters how easy are they to craft crafting tables don’t brilliant that is a good start so so now we actually have automated iron production straight away like we’re done that’s it first episode automated iron brilliant that’s a good start

And that is going to be the way we’re gonna have to go for a lot of this so do you expect that to keep happening so maybe the other thing we should automate is stone and things like that like just standard stone so in which case we should probably cook up some extra

Charcoal just so we can restock that when necessary but that’s yeah that’s looking good that’s a good start how easy is it going to be to make the translocator so that’s gonna be an issue piston a ball and an iron pickaxe interesting interesting the redstone is

Still going to be the leather so a ball and an iron pickaxe are gonna be our main things so let’s let’s get those started now so so that we’ve at least got them ready so we’ve got some balls grab one two three now I’m wondering if

This is gonna use up use up the materials that’s what I’m worried about so that because that’s going to affect how we do this so we’ve got an iron pickaxe we’ve got a bowl and then what did it require us to use that for it was

A lever a lever so let’s make one of those real quick like so okay just like give it a ha so it uses the the pickaxe and the ball but we do have redstone now okay that’s good so what we need to do then is make some more mechanical

Crafters and then we can get on to that automation as well get some redstone automation going that’ll be really good I’m hoping that by doing this playthrough we can try and automate every step of the way before we progress so it might take a little while longer

To do certain things if we can work with that process the actual process of automating the clay production as the final end goal of this shouldn’t actually be too difficult so yeah look at that we’re already at well over a hundred iron from that which is really really cool so will automate

Charcoal will automate you know all that stuff that’ll be good so the only other thing that I really want to work out is how we’re gonna transfer the items from those barrels into other other locations easily so whether that’s a piping mechanic or something like that do we

Have access to conduits in this pack we do how difficult is it to get iron con order item conduits so we’re going to need pulsating iron ore resonant ender which requires ender pearls but we can get them from ender shards so we can get item conduits fairly quickly in this by

The looks of things soggy ender pearls which is rather than tender again which get from the end of shards which you get from pistons okay okay I was slowly starting to see the the patterns that we need to work on together to get to get

To where we want to be which is good so we’ve at least got that going but I think that is gonna be coming to the end of the first episode so yeah I hope you guys have enjoyed that or it’s weird seeing my my normal skin again after all
