Ghasts creatures home to the nether they’ve been around in Minecraft as early as alpha they used to be the largest mob in the game until the ender dragon was added in beta 1.9 they normally float around the nether with their eyes and mouth shut making high-pitched sounds these sounds May appear if a gas is close by but that’s not always the case naturally gusts only spawn in the nether in any light level they may be monstrous in size and dish out scary amounts of damage from afar but gusts are actually quite fragile they only have 5 hearts of health However the problem lies with their flying fireballs but the damage varies on the proximity of the fireball and the player on easy difficulty a single fireball can deal up to a maximum of four and a half hearts of damage if it hits you directly on normal they can Deal up to eight and a half hearts of damage and on hard they can deal up to twelve and a half hearts of damage which is enough to kill a player in one shot you can deflect their fireballs by swiping at them with a sword when they’re close enough that’s if your Timer correctly you can also deflect their fireballs with arrows shot from a bow if you deflect a fireball right back at them it will kill them instantly giving you the achievement return to sender if you get close to them usually within about 16 blocks they will attempt To gain altitude to create more distance between you and the ghast when a ghast is killed they have a chance to drop up to two gunpowder and sometimes a gas tear gas tears can be used to create potions of regeneration and mundane potions a ghasts fireball theoretically Has infinite range and will stop when it comes into contact with a block when a fireball clashes with netherrack it will make a small crater with a chance of the netherrack catching fire from the explosion if you wish to build a base in the nether using cobblestone iron doors And iron bars will mean the base can’t be destroyed by a gust fireball buttons pressure plates and levers are all vulnerable however so you may want to cover them up gas can detect a player from up to a hundred blocks away so it’s recommended if you wish to build a base You do so in an area surrounded by netherrack as ghast won’t attempt to flow into small gaps in the landscape they’re also less likely to launch a fireball at a player if they’re not in direct line of sight so netherrack makes a good natural shield well that’s it for another episode if You have any suggestions for another episode leave them in the comments my name is mr. Cooby and as always thanks for watching but once again it’s trivia time in survival mode is it possible for a gas to enter the overworld Video Information
