Defending my Desert Oasis Castle from a Pillager Raid | Minecraft Build Timelapse | Ft. Solidarity

Hello everyone welcome to another minecraft build time lapse video today i am joined by my friend solidarity gaming and we are going to be creating a desert oasis fortress and then defending it let’s get started by planning out the fortress because i want this map to be both functional and look pretty it’s

Important to get my plan correct so that i can sort of think about the making it pretty side of things and less about the functional side of things really early on so i plan out where all my main structures towers gates and walls are

Going to go and then i can begin on the details speaking of which we’re going to be starting with our front gate which has two unsymmetrical towers one that’s more like a watch tower and the other just has normal crenellations then we’re doing the gateway which has lots of

Slots in it so that we can shoot arrows down at people trying to cross our gate then going around to all of the different rectangular structures that i’ve already marked in it’s really simple to just add details to these i’ll change out the color from the wool a

Little bit later on but i’m just adding birch and sandstone accents to all of these areas and my details i’m trying to think of in a little bit more of a functional way which is something i’m not used to because i tend to build things that are pretty but not really

Functional so i’m trying to build lots of different slots for arrows murder holes different things like that that would be around a gateway and wall type area don’t think i got it perfectly but it’s definitely an improvement speaking of adding functions to builds this build in particular is going to be

Surrounded by a moat and i’m hoping this will help us out quite a lot with the defensive process but we’ll have to wait and see now myself and my friend jimmy are going to be adding details to the back structures jimmy is working along the edges adding details and flooring and

Ceilings to each of those large structures and i’m doing a big watchtower right in the back then we need to focus on the broader details because this does need to register as a village i decide to put some village structures on the inside of this fortress lots of different houses

Maybe functional buildings like an armory stuff like that all the way around just to give some life then it’s time for me to focus on the moat i adjust the terrain a little bit more add a bridge so that we can cross the moat

And a little bit of a path and then to turn this into a bit more of an oasis i decide to put some colorful palm trees all around here to play on that oasis theme even more i decided to add some fancier structures into our fortress almost like this was

More of a pretty area but it had to turn defensive because of the raids it didn’t start out defensive i think this adds a little bit better lore and some more interest and color to the area and with those final details in place the build is now complete it’s time to

See how it holds up against a pillager raid alright everyone now that we’ve built our fortress i am joined by my friend solidarity and we are going to be defending against a pretty high level raid are you ready jimmy i’m ready all right so we have left the fortress gate open

I’ve watched the gate to the fences i’m going to get the guys in the boat gosh there’s a witch as well i’m going to try to get her because she’s going to buff him right i’ve jumped up wait oh my gosh they’re all drowning in the moat all right i’m i’m sat front

Okay are you getting the ravager oh i’ve just seen one villager die oh no he died right in front of me his last words were you smell that was it oh no there’s a villager running out yeah he’s running out dude you’re supposed to run always

Don’t jump in the moat i’ll help you with this guy oh no i have a terrible aim okay it’s just the witch left she’s down in the moat all right i’m coming back up jumping back up here we go have you got her no i can’t kill her wait what i just shot

I’ve got it i’ve got her but i can’t get out the moat gem gem i can’t get that’s what the mud’s for oh my gosh it hurts right i’m coming up starting again running running right going up on the wall right let’s try find which way they’re coming from

I’m up in the tower i don’t see anybody from up here okay um i’ll check the left side yeah i bet they’re over on the left side honestly yeah this moe is literally like here they are they’re over here wait which side are you same side as before there’s three witches which means

We are gonna have to kill these guys ourselves the moat’s not gonna kill him why does the moat not kill the witches i’m not sure it must be with the potions that they can drink some sort of spell they’ve got on oh look at them they look like they’re at the beach no

What and shoot them down yeah i get a good really good view from over here so walk up the stairs yeah yeah i’m with ya and then we can try shooting down evoker with them as well all right okay i’m gonna get my bow at least they’re not harming anyone

You want it stop it’s like an arcade game they pop their heads up like whack the mole go on nearly nearly yeah i think i killed one there it’s weird that the raid bar hasn’t gone down that far i’m sure there’s no one else wrecking our villagers

Oh there is oh my goodness wait what there was another one down there okay now the only ones are on the roof i don’t know if we have any we still have a couple surviving villagers oh my goodness stop running in and out of the houses just stay in there please

Right it’s only these two up here yeah it’s only these two oh i have the worst name ever oh my goodness so close we always know where he is though he’s carrying the banner he’s carrying the banner yeah he’s giving himself away so please next raid running now

Running now you need to back up i need backup we’ve got a fire on there yeah that’s me missing that yeah is actually i’ve got fire on mine so that is every single shot that you’ve missed oh so close oh yes good job good job whoa we did it

Oh my goodness hero off the village look at the villagers oh you go there we go oh there’s little fireworks they’re throwing fireworks for us oh my gosh that’s so cute only the three of them yeah we didn’t save very many of them did we no there was so many of them wait

I can count one two three four five six i can count too bad i think some of them actually did hide away oh seven seven oh so kind yeah that was good that was fun that moat was incredible yeah it worked so well we barely even had to fight those raids
