Descend into Madness with Star_M in Minecraft! Part 2: Going Down.

Welcome back everybody it is star M here and I am so excited to be back here on the ultra Hardcore world for this let’s play the Sun is setting I believe it’s called setting I might be a dummy but I believe the Sun is setting so we’ll go

Ahead and take ourselves a nap for the evening before we get to today’s plans and we’ve got a villager that decided it wanted our bed but too bad this is our bed villager get your own get your own friend all right everybody so this is where we are at we’ve got this Village

Quite Little Village around us and I don’t really want to live here this is definitely not where I want to live permanently but here’s what I’m thinking before we can actually find somewhere that we want to live I want to get into a position where we actually can live

You know it’s kind of pointless to go ahead and like start building really big houses and stuff and then die right away really easily so my goal for this episode I think should be to get an enchanting table I think if we can go ahead and get ourselves an enchanting

Table we can get some enchantments on our armor that’ll help us live a little bit longer and then we’ll be able to go into The Nether eventually and get ourselves potions and once we’ve done that then we’ll be fairly set and able to actually go ahead and and start

Building and and living somewhere so that’s what I’m going to go ahead and do I’m going to find a cave see if we can find some diamonds I love caving in this game so I’m going to get all ready for that first off we’re going to want our

Golden apples and I’m going to go ahead and use this 16 gold that we have to actually make more golden apples I know I was talking about going to the Nether and getting potions and stuff really fast but honestly dude you you can’t just like walk in here and leave the

Door open friend what the heck man come on bro let let things into my house um honestly we probably want to get all Enchanted and everything and I don’t want to go trying to get enchanted without this so in addition we’re also going to take with us a diamond because

If we can get ourselves enough diamonds to make a pck a pick and then enough diamonds to make a enchanting table we can actually do that in the cave before coming up here so and I’ll take this other apple with me as well I may have slightly overlooked our need for food I

Think we’re just going to end up taking bread with us since we’re not actually regenerating Health we actually don’t need to eat food nearly as of often so 20 pieces of bread will probably tide us over another thing I always want to take with me is a bucket of water so we’ll go

Ahead and get that ready and potentially I don’t think we have any strings so there’s no bows for us unfortunately but we do have emeralds so maybe we can go ahead and trade with a villager here I don’t know if we made a Fletcher villager or not so let’s see if

We can make a Fletcher villager that’s going to be I believe uh Flint so we’ve got flint and wood we’ve got wood in our inventory but we’ll take this wood and if we make just a couple more pieces of wood yeah Fletching table and I don’t

Want to use those ones I want to use these ones so let’s make ourselves a a villager with a Fletching table and see if we can get some arrows and a bow to take with us on our journey down into the cave and I got to be careful with

Jumping it’s it’s really difficult swapping between uh the different game modes that I’m playing where I’ve got like my normal hardcore where yeah it’s fine I take a little bit of damage and I can heal back up from it and then I’ve got my normal you know SMP let’s play that I

Do so yeah um also I want a book so we’ve got to slay this cow that I see right here so that we can actually make a book so that when we’re down in the cave and we get enough stuff for an enchanting table we can actually do

That now um honestly I’m thinking that I started playing this world oh there’s a cat I started playing this world in 1.20.1 which means if we go caving where we are right now there’s not going to be as many diamonds as if we go caving in a

Different spot so I say we should find a different spot to go caving I don’t think this guy has a profession yeah no no profession for him so okay Fletcher we get some arrows see if we can get enough arrows to like level him up here that’s a lot of emeralds getting spent

But I’m hoping he ends up selling us a bow come on I honestly don’t know how this works I don’t know if it’s a second trade okay yeah bow fantastic there we go we’ve got a bow and two and a half stacks of arrows so I think we’re I

Think we’re set for a little bit here um yeah I think I am probably going to go caving here because I don’t want to travel super far away but we should keep in mind that we won’t find as many diamonds because this was started at 1.20.1 even though I’m now playing 1

I normally like to take with me when I go caving I like all my tools I like having a water bucket food and torches and then obviously we’re going to need our golden apples because we’re caving on no Health regeneration here and lots of torches always bring wood arrows and

I’ll generally bring like an ender chest or a Shuler box but we don’t have either of those yet so we’ll just have to do what we can and I believe we have like some caves and stuff underneath our base because we heard all of those monsters

In it the other day so we know that we can go ahead and check this out and hopefully this will lead us down to a nice cave but it might just be an underpass right under our house that’s interesting uh could be a well I guess

I’m not living here I was going to say it could be like a basement expansion but no just a just just a little underpass that goes underneath our current house but since we’re not going to be living here it’s not our house won’t be a basement expansion so

Yeah let’s uh anything here nope okay well on to find another cave so when I was starting up this episode I was remembering a the old Let’s Plays I used to watch and I think I mentioned King Daddy dmac last episode is that a cave

That looks like a big cave oh I can hear the Minecraft music I’m going to go ahead and turn that up so last episode I forgot I don’t play with music on normally and I’ll get to that story after the king daddy dmac story so I think I mentioned King Daddy

Dmac last time oh we’ve got a cave here and I was remembering he would always start his intro with what’s up guys or what’s up what’s up everybody I don’t remember exactly how it went but it was like a slow what’s up everybody um and I just was

Remembering that you know know I when I first started my channel I enjoyed saying welcome everybody it’s STM here and that’s kind of going to be like the intro for these videos is they’re more relaxed and stuff I can’t do that in my fast-paced videos cuz it just loses

Their attention and doesn’t do well but since these are going to be a little bit slower a little bit more relaxed and just that old classic style of kind of feeling familiar you know that’s the idea is I want to be able to tell stories and bond with you guys and hear

From you in the comments in fact I’m actually going to do like a comment of the video type thing so we’ll definitely be looking at some comments from people later in the video I’ll probably insert that because I haven’t pulled one yet but I’ll go ahead and pull a comment

From the video and give give a shout out to whoever left it okay this cave is looking a little scary ooh ooh ooh ooh ooh maybe we go get our water breathing potion we have a water breathing potion that we found last time and water caves are fantastic I’m thinking of doing

Something risky and jumping down in this water okay all right I don’t see any dangers here I think we are safe for a second now I’m normally pretty reckless when I cave which is going to be a danger with the no Health regeneration so let’s see if we could

Survive here the good thing about water caves like this is they do offer a lot more uh resources than nonwater caves like ores and stuff just because of how ore spawning works so we do have that going for us which is lucky okay round in this corner just keeping our eye out

I’m going to like light all of this up up here cuz I don’t want anything falling on us you know what that’s something I forgot I forgot to bring blocks always want blocks on your body are when you’re coming in here and do doing the caving thing so I don’t know

Why I forgot to do that um also I don’t think you know old school style videos they did not always like do all of your caving footage you know you wouldn’t see all of that um I think King Daddy dmac he did cut out a lot of his caving stuff but

Since this is the first caving session and since we are playing on this Ultra Hardcore Mode I definitely want to share it with you guys at least to begin with here um unfortunately you’re not going to be able to see underwater with me here we’re gonna want to get our water

Breathing potion for sure if we’re going to be diving if we’re going to be diving in here water breathing potion would be very helpful see I’m about to take damage cuz I okay yeah this is I don’t think this is a good I don’t know if this is a good

Idea in Ultra Hardcore Mode normally I’m not afraid of stuff like this but I want to lose the world I want to be safe is there another option maybe over there let’s go check out what we’ve got over there and and see maybe maybe it’s an actual normal cave we can explore rather

Than the water one and then we’ll come back with our water breathing potion so I was saying I know King Daddy dmac he didn’t show a lot of his caving stuff if I recall properly I could be wrong but I know like I I remember good boulderfist

Who I also that I watched and I remember him playing like back in the alpha or beta days I don’t exactly know and the caves were so incredibly dark and that was like it was I couldn’t even hardly see anything in the video so I don’t

Want to have you know that type of experience for you but I I do want to I do want to take you on the journey here of the first caving session which is not going so well for us at this at this time having a little bit of trouble

Navigating I think once we like if we can get out of here and go collect our water breathing potion I think we’ll have a good time and probably grab some blocks as well come on there we go there we go I think that water breathing potion

Is only a minute long but we could no we can’t I was going to say we could throw it in our brewing stand but we can’t actually do that because we don’t have any blaze powder to power brewing stand unfortunately okay okay this is going to be dangerous we’re going to be running

Through the night out there but I say we run and try to get that water breathing potion oh okay okay almost almost fell there almost fell all right come on be fast be fast be fast be fast be fast and furious be fast and furious I watched those movies

For the first time recently okay oh man that was really hard to get out of that water there okay we should have got to be careful um right here oh goodness gracious I scratched my eye and nearly nearly fell guys I don’t know if this is a good

Series for me we’ll see how long it actually lasts um I’m not going to sleep water breathing potion here it is put it there we’ll get rid of the shovel and we’ll grab some more blocks for safety for safety shake so that we can actually be able to block mobs off

Is basically what that’s for we want to okay there’s a skeleton over there we want to be able to block mobs off and we want to be able to like pillar up if we need to I want to get back where we were quickly cuz there was

No mobs down here and there are plenty of mobs out here so let’s get down in here get the water breathing potion going going and see what we can find is this a cave over here did I like Miss that this is a cave how did I miss that this is an

Actual cave over here how like how did I miss this I don’t understand okay so we could go down this way and try to see what kind of things we can explore I keep trying to Middle click on the smooth Stone in order to get it into into my inventory so I want

All of this coal and stuff but I’ll probably come back later maybe off camera and mine all that coal cuz even though this is like an old style let’s play I’m not here to bore you guys so we’re just going to go on the more fun adventures together and since

I’m lighting all this up I should be able to come back and get the coal and stuff fairly easily on my own later all right we are making our way downtown I didn’t talk about the music so I had the music turned off I have not played

Minecraft with music in such a long time because um as a Minecraft creator I tend to put music into my videos and if I’ve got Minecraft music playing then I can’t really put music into my videos so I have it turned off so that you know I can put in music that

Fits the mood basically if that makes sense you know if I’m about to die I want to be able to put in intense music in this we’re not going to have that because we’re just you know we’re going classic we’re going old style there was

No music in the old days to say I’m about to die it was just it’s just oh oh I died um so yeah I I normally do put that type of stuff in my videos and you know you could look at this as like a step down from those

Videos but it’s just really a different style that we’ve got going on so no mobs in this cave yet which is wild um I just wanted to check back there to see if there’s anything actually over there interesting that we like went the bats are scaring me we went back to get

The water breathing potion oh it’s their new models that’s what’s going on I don’t think I’ve actually played with their new models recently they look funky they look funky when they’re flying okay I I know I thought the new models were cute but now I’m looking at

Them and they look kind of kind of silly like what’s going on with this guy do you guys see do you guys see anything weird and funky about these guys like I don’t know are they flying upside down it looks like they’re flying upside down I think that’s what’s

Happening these bats are upside down okay uh this cave is a dead end fantastic I don’t think there’s anything I didn’t explore here so yeah dead end cave that’s good to know oh here we go here’s something here is something indeed I’m normally so bravado I’m I’m so brave and

And risque when I’m caving not today I’m also not going to get the copper because we’re not building yet I don’t really see any reason to get the copper if we are not building all right I guess we are going to go dive in that

Water we’re going to go back up dive in it and enjoy some Darkness unfortunately so I I I I’m thinking now like good good I talked about how good’s videos were so dark when he would go caving and now I’m sitting here like why were they so dark like was he just not

Placing torches I just think the Torches didn’t actually spread as far probably but he may have also like not placed torches a lot um just because like maybe he was trying to conserve on coal or maybe coal was hard to find or something I don’t know okay so we’ve got lapis

Which is good we need that for um for enchanting so I’m going to go ahead and mine this and it is so slow um honestly we might want to craft a door just in case like we get to a point where we need breath you know cuz we’ve got like

3 minutes of water breathing here right so if we just go ahead and make ourselves a door I think that would be a really good idea so I’m going to do that I’m also going to go up so that like our bubbles restore but the doors will give us like

A little bit of a buffer in case we need air and I want my crafting bench back okay now we go up refill our bubbles and then we’ll head back down and hopefully you guys can see in here all right and I’m going to try to find like a cave or

Something as fast as I can here so we’ve got some glow Li in we’re keeping an eye out for any iron or anything like that come on come on something we’ve got copper we’ve got the dripstone stuff okay H not looking so great in this cave unfortunately this might be a very

Uneventful episode that’s more copper so we do got to make sure that like our bubbl don’t start running out on us without me noticing or me I have a tendency to say things like us when I’m recording and I don’t know if like that would bug people you know should I be

Saying us cuz you know I’m I’m recording it with you guys is kind of what it feels like to me so you know that’s why I say us and I say we and I say you know stuff stuff like that is because I’m I’m I’m recording with you it is so dark

That I’ve got to turn turn this on for you guys I know it’s a little bit cheaty and if I was playing on my own I wouldn’t do it but because because we’re playing because we’re playing together we’re going to turn that on all right well this cave was a

Bust this water cave was a bust the entire cave was a bust to let me know what you think of me turning this on I don’t I don’t like do a normal caving with it but if it’s like really dark like that and I can’t light

It up then I feel like maybe something I should do just to make viewing easier for you guys see I don’t think I would have seen that iron without that on so I’m going to leave it eventually I’d come back and get that coal like I said

But I hadn’t noticed that iron for some reason so we’re just kind of out of luck with that all right I’ll be back when I found a cave cuz my voice needs a little bit of a break from talking all the time here we go here’s something we’ve got

This and we’ve got this so let’s go go ahead and head on down here we should put some blocks on the bar that looks like a dead end did that dead end on us already oh man why is it so hard to find caves in this world are you kidding me I

Remember last episode trying to find the the oh no that was that was my actual hardcore world sorry I’m getting confused in my actual hardcore world I was trying to find caves in the Mesa biome and I was struggling I was trying to get enough gold to actually

Make some powered rails I think is what I was trying to do and I just could not find caves in the Mesa for the life of me uh but it does seem like we found something here so let’s go ahead and work our way down here so generally when

I work my way down I’ll do like a mix of some Mining and also just some normal block placing on my way down as well as some torches can’t forget the Torches did I turn off the gamma I did okay fantastic want to make sure I’m not accidentally forgetting that’s on I

Think I did I was playing a ctm map but I think I forgot that I had the gamma turned on or something cuz I was editing it and I was like this is super bright why can’t I see everything and then I went to take a screenshot and I couldn’t

See anything and we’ve got another dead end we are having the worst luck I’m going to mine this coal and get out of this cave and see you in a second it’s raining outside but it is time to go in into to the cave we go now we’ve got a

Little hole right here and then we’ve got this over here which is another dead end goodness gracious these caves are not going anywhere I might have to like dig down to actually get you know actually make something o we’ve got some Minecraft music starting in the

Background I’m so happy that I can play with music again it’s really nice um one thing that I need to do is I I need to go ahead and watch myself some of these old style of videos and see what people really were doing because as much as I

Did watch a lot of them when I was growing up it has been a while since I really did just sit down and and watch an old school let’s play I’ve watched a lot of the new stuff I do watch a lot of new stuff here um but I I think I should

Go and and check some of that old stuff out and see exactly what they do cuz I honestly don’t know how much of this caving I should be keeping in and how much I should be cutting out for you guys so that’s one thing I want to see I

Want to see you know did did they show all the cave in did they not I don’t really remember watching much caving um I know I did watch a lot of caving because I watched UHC if you’re watching this you’re probably a big fan of like old school content been watching

Minecraft for a while I watched the Mindcrack UHC every single season every time a new season would come out I’d be so excited to see it and that was like completely uncut right so I watched a lot of caving in that series but other than that I

Honestly don’t know if there was a lot of caving left into videos so you know I’ve I’ve got to go ahead and check that out for myself we have got mobs out here it is nighttime it is raining and we have yet to actually find a good cave there’s a skeleton there oh

Man this is not a good time we’ve got a spider after us we might have to head back to the Village here and take a sleep through the night if we don’t find another cave to hop in too soon here I don’t want to you know if I’m being

Chased by spiders I don’t want to run into a creeper this is a dangerous time and I don’t know about the music I don’t know if it’s really sure how dangerous this is right now okay so we’re in the savannah so there’s no rain but there is mobs there’s a

Skeleton I thought he saw me for a second I freaked out oh man all right this is where we chop down all those trees thunder strike there’s some some sort of some kind of Cave thing over there maybe maybe we can find something let’s make our way down here into the water

Hopefully there’s no drowns I don’t really know where drowns spawn to be honest with you doesn’t look like this is a place okay there’s a drown right there but no Trident guys for us to be wary of let’s see hopefully this is a cave it probably is not I’m probably just really really

Unlucky oh here’s something is is there an actual cave in here let’s go find out we got this drowned coming after us oh fishes is what is this over here granite and a cave it is a cave okay we need to get our door okay zombie oh no oh no

Okay okay that was bad that was bad okay oh he scared me so bad I shook we lost another heart and a half okay skeleton’s Dead zombie got him the zombie is drowning in in there all right okay let’s get in here there may be other dangerous mobs doesn’t seem like it

Okay dude okay okay this is time for us to eat another golden apple or our first golden apple get this Arrow I don’t know why I needed it but I needed it we’ll let that zombie become a drown down there we’re going to hop down in

Here see if we can find anything so get our doors on our bar and let’s go down in here and see if there is anything okay there’s some iron here there’s a lot of coal right here let’s get in this door and we’ll turn this on for you guys again

Okay so we’re seeing iron but so far I don’t think this is going down any farther for us unfortunately which is what we need we need something that will take us down farther let’s see if we can get back to this other door before we pop and drown no that was

A mistake okay okay okay we are almost to the point of needing two apples this is not going well oh man what’s this way I should have just set down down a door I don’t know why I was trying to save the door that was stupid okay all

Right okay let’s get out of here I’m going to dig down and find another cave I’m going to mine this iron though we’re leaving we’re done we’re going not strip mining but we’re going to we’re going to dig a dig a cave down we’re going to dig a tunnel

Down to find a deeper cave I’m going to eat a golden apple right now since we’re going through dangerous territory in the night here honestly would be wise to wait it out but I’m not that kind of player so oh and I got to turn the game

Off there we go Darkness Darkness for real okay let’s make it back to our house oh that’s a lot of damage we just took today okay oh man get to our house we’ll dig a tunnel from there all right okay everybody I’m going to say we’re safe right now so we can go

Ahead I’m going to dump my inventory and dig a tunnel somewhere right here to get down and find a cave we’ve got a zombie attacking a villager here okay I made a mistake I made a mistake kiss this akn I tried to protect the Villager and it was a mistake for

Reals let’s close this door before any more guys come in I may have also killed that villager so the Iron Golem may be mad at me okay that’s two golden apples down in one episode here things are not going well for us everybody oh man things are going

Downhill oh trying to go to the nether today would have been a bad idea that’s for sure I’ve decided that it is we are too high to not mine like this so I’m digging straight downish this is a cool trick that you can use that most of

You probably know but if you stand on the middle of two blocks then you won’t fall when you actually find a cave like we did fantastic I hope this is like actually a cave finally that would be really nice it would also be really nice to get

Some enchantments on our armor oh man okay let’s see what we can if we can get in here get into the cave okay we found it again I’m not sure if there’s anything out here skeletons or the such the such I mean the like I’m not hearing anything I’m going

To turn on my subtitles because I play with only one head phone so I can’t actually like tell what things are what direction and whatnot it does seem like there’s nothing dangerous in this cave could be something around this corner though we’ll just block it off okay I’ve got an itchy ear

Again okay we ended up with a lot of blocks there’s a direction this way as well that we’ll go ahead and block off okay now we only have to worry about One Direction for now and I’m not talking about the band this is a lot of iron

Right here which is very nice to have like we we don’t need iron we’re looking for diamonds specifically so maybe I’ll just like stop leaving this and I’ll come back off camera at some point and get all of the iron and coal and whatnot that we want and maybe we

Just like keep going through here and look for diamonds okay there’s a creeper okay take aim I missed another shot maybe might kill him yeah there we go okay making good use of the bow there’s more iron like I said we’re looking for diamonds so I think for the

Most part I’m going to leave the ores you know sometimes I’m just going to go ahead and mine them because I can’t control myself we want to make sure to keep like looking up make sure no creepers drop on top of us so hmm Okay I’m so nervous I’m so nervous playing playing Ultra Hardcore here I always wanted to play Ultra Hardcore like I said I’ve I’ve watched a lot of those series and I always wanted to play and be part of it and obviously I never got the chance because I never got to

Join Minecraft now I like had played like once or twice on like a Hypixel or something but but I never actually like got to compete in one for real and I did like make my own couple of Worlds that I tried and never really got too far into them but until making

YouTube I never really took anything too seriously now I’m taking it serious I want to I want to survive for a long time all right let’s go ahead and check out what is behind door number two what do we got over here so I assume that is going to connect to the other

Part we blocked off we’ve got some more iron in here um I’m out of torches so we’ll back up for a second make some torches bing bada bing that should be enough and then torches sticks torches there we go okay we’ve got like some dangerous area up there we want to keep

An eye on make sure nothing drops on top of us from ooh okay okay okay got a creeper will take out while we’re here while we can see him there’s a skeleton over there I’d love to take out but he’s out of view now so we got to be really wary of the

Fact that there’s a skeleton over there okay um again I don’t know what’s up here we don’t want any creepers dropping on us so got to go up here really carefully see what we got block that off and also the reason I’m not eating the golden apple right now is because of

The absorption I want to I don’t want to waste that okay yep there’s creepers oo there’s creepers where you going where are you going buddy you’re waiting up there for me huh okay I think there’s two of them if if I recall so there was definitely two up

There I’m almost certain there was two but now I’m like scared to go up cuz if there was two how am I supposed to get over there without him getting me okay almost certain there was two I’m going to like run up really really fast maybe there wasn’t

Two maybe I imagined it so we’re also looking for gold gold is another thing we’re definitely looking for gold and diamonds heading on up here I am collecting the iron in this spot cuz it’s like an awkward space that I don’t think I’m going to come back and

See oh man the copper the green of the copper is like scaring me making me think that it’s a creeper that one is definitely a creeper though and I don’t even want to like get close to these guys oh man that one I guess I didn’t have fully charged bow strikes

There and a zombie come on but what that Arrow went straight through him did you guys see that that was that was not cool okay at least we get to get the arrow back we’ve got water here which I don’t like that’s like dangerous that it’s pushing us

Down so we go ahead and take out the source here Fallen gravel okay we need to get down to deep slate level I don’t really know what level gold is at um I know in the Mesa it’s like everywhere but we’re not in a Mesa so I don’t know where it’s at

Keeping an eye out for those creepers skeletons are like 360 no scope guys so we’re just kind of screwed if there’s one around a corner somewhere oh man this might have been a bad decision to go caving I thought I heard a spider I’m not sure all right

I’m like kind of lost everybody I’m kind of lost here oh going around in circles all right backa go another thing I didn’t think think of is that I can mine all of this coal for experience so as I’m going along I’m probably just going

To pick up the coal and the iron and not say anything during it so that we can just keep on moving through this cave oh I just jumped so bad when my pickaxe broke I thought I died [Laughter] everybody oh man I thought was cuz I

Knew this dark area was right next to me and I just oh man I flipped out all right all right here is our nice way in hopefully it actually is a nice way in hopefully it’s a nice cave honestly it would probably be worth it to like

Try to find a Mesa biome and go caving in a Mesa biome it might be worth it to like find a lava pool up at the top and just go to the Nether and start mining gold in the nether that that would be rough I don’t know if that drops multiple gold

Nuggets when you mine it with a normal pick I think it’s just one gold nugget with a gold with a with a normal pick which would be rough that would take a lot of time there’s a creeper where’d he go creeper skeleton got to keep an eye out for that

Creeper creeping up on us where’d he go [Laughter] creeper oh man he doesn’t want to come out and play where is he there he is come on buddy oh man he’s really trying to make it hard on me isn’t he there you go there you go all right H creeper dealt with skeleton

Dealt with um I believe I have my hostile sounds on I think I’m hearing them just fine hostile creatures are off oh man that is a very bad thing so that happens when I go to the Enderman Farm on igniter SMP I turn my my mob sounds off so I’m glad that I

Us so I’m going to try to go up instead of down just for a little bit here because I want to make sure nothing comes down and drops on our head got to keep an eye on that little spot right there as well and is this an area that I’ve been exploring
