Good morning everyone this is diesel d199 speaking and welcome to the settle craft server this is a java edition public mostly vanilla minecraft server that i am hosting it is launching right now right now and you guys are here for the launch of it uh i hope you’re excited And um you may be asking okay diesel what’s the link how do i join well you’re going to have to wait a little bit for that i do want to explain a few bits and pieces to you before everyone runs onto the server and starts making a mark so firstly When you arrive on the server you’re going to be here on the spawn island you need to come over to here and there’s a little thing here that if you step on this pressure plate ah look you get a boat and it says this way to medieval settlement And then you’re going to get in the boat and you’re going to start rowing in this general direction in east um so the way this a server will work is that we are going to create now that is very strange we’ve got some foxes just randomly i can rescue only one If they will get in perhaps not all right so the way that this server works is that we create uh various themed settlements on the settlecraft server we are the settlers um we’ll be founding different settlements at different times throughout the year the very first settlement that we’re going to be Working on is called is a medieval themed uh settlement and that’s what we’re heading to right now where it’s going to be we’ve i’ve got a nice spot picked out for it um when you are heading over here please uh go into the chat and go slash info And then you can read all of the information about the server go info two to go to the next page and then go to rules okay and read the rules of the server there’s only a few of them there um it’s important that we we’re all on the same page here But one of the main advantages of this server as i said it’s mostly survival but we do have the grief prevention add-on and the grief prevention add-on lets you prevent other players from destroying your stuff that was a really big problem uh when i lasted a minecraft server Is yeah people burnt down the village we made in like within the first 24 hours uh make sure you pick up your boat when you get here please um because boats are entities and they cause lag and we don’t need a whole bunch of boats just lying around so This is where we’re going to be uh building our very first town don’t fall in the ravine there um don’t kill all of the animals when you get here okay we we need two of each so that we can start breeding them that’s another problem that i’ve experienced um If you find a a mob spawner don’t break it come on guys this is this is basic minecraft etiquette but uh i have found that people don’t tend to follow it so you guys are probably all wanting to join the server and you’re going to be able to write Now because i’m just going to turn the white list off and then you’re going to be wondering well i can’t join without the ip well the first thing i want you guys to do is at the top of the video description you’re going to see a link to my gaming Channel where i’m going to be posting content from this server so if you haven’t subscribed to that uh you guys have some time to get over here before it gets dark and let’s get to work shall we don’t forget to read the rules read the server info and i am going to get started on building the settlement And so we begin as we do every minecraft game by uh chopping down a tree with our fist punching trees which is always good fun and i am gonna show you guys oh look we got quite a few people on the server this is going to be fun i hope The server can handle it uh if we all stay reasonably close together we don’t load a whole bunch of stuff yeah we’ll be okay so gonna get my planks gonna get a crafting table and actually let’s find a nice spot for me to set up shop One of the first things you guys will want to do uh is you’re going to want to make a chest because when you put down a chest as i will show you right now you will get an automatic land claim that’s about nine bucks wide so i’m just Going to put down this here and i’m going to get myself some wood i’m going to get my first chest and bam now you see these are the markers this is the this is the land claim that i now have no one can build no one can steal from this chest My stuff is protected and that’s what you guys are all going to do just to get you started and you won’t have to worry about anyone destroying any of your stuff so with that all said and done i need to get some more wood so ah okay look the coordinates of where I am at is 450 70 14. there you go am i getting this wood oh okay here we go all right um so yeah first things first let’s let’s get some more planks let’s get some sticks and we need oh we need more planks more planks let’s get some tools going i Think i’ve gotta exit and then come back okay i’m gonna need this and now i’m gonna try and get myself some some stone tools i just need to need to find a nice area to get some stone from i think uh we are gonna have to uh You know what let’s let’s let’s let’s start over here oh wait here we go here we go i am going to want to set up a community mine shaft so that we can go to and do our branch mining we don’t need a whole bunch of different branch mines uh this Is this is undecided this is useless for what i want here we go let’s get these basic uh stone tools all set up and then we can get to work sounds like there is a good number of uh of mobs around of passive mobs i can hear pigs and sheep and chickens don’t Kill them guys don’t kill them we can breed them all up there can be plenty of food for everyone looks like we’ve got a significant number of people on the game so someone asked me in the chat why do we have to place torches on the left Side here’s the reason here’s the reason right i’m caught in this current if you always place the torches on the left side it’s not a hard rule but if you do do that then you can always find your way back out right because then all you have to do is orientate yourself so All the torches are on your right hand side and you can get back out of the mine that’s why it’s a pretty pretty easy little way in order to uh in order to to know which direction you’re going if you’re going deeper into the mine or if you’re going towards the surface that’s Why um and it’s on the left hand side because you’re gonna hold the torches in your off hand which is your left hand okay let us get going so i’m i’m gonna want a stone sword i’m gonna need to make more s planks more sticks and i’m going to need a stone shovel Uh there we go so this is the uh medieval settlement as i have said and we’re going to be building medieval themed builds here uh so you can expect some huge castles to go up in the coming month or so um but to begin with i think for this stream We’re all gonna be building some pretty pretty simple little houses made out of um wood and uh and and stone um we are having some people get lost so if someone else uh can please post the uh coordinates um in the chat actually i need to do uh daniel There we go i got i got my first uh moderator there there is no teleporting in this game this is vanilla all right i have my basic stone tools here oh look there’s a dog already so we’re probably going to want to start chopping down a lot of these trees we’re Going to want to get some some food going um and so i think well the first thing i’m going to do actually is i’m going to start to get uh here we go i’m going to start i’m going to grab some seeds and we’re going to just straight up We want to get some crops growing yep and actually i think i’m also going to start to lure some chickens over here i’ve got i’ve got a decent number of seeds at this point all right let’s see we’ve got one chicken uh oh look there’s two chickens right Here so if you guys come back with me If you can’t find your chest my dude you just type list claims and then look it tells me exactly where mine is where do those chickens go chickens come on let’s go gather them up um if they will follow me just need to get a couple in a hole and Then we can start breeding them come on follow the seeds these are some pretty stubborn chickens actually now where is my where is my base uh yeah it’s over here this is where it is um up you come chicken ah these chickens are so annoying oh thank you for the fences I was actually just gonna stick them in a hole all right the chickens do not want to come i think what i need right now is iron um so let us start the construction of a community mine shaft i mean it’s just going to have to be in a random location Because we don’t have anything really planned just yet and i think i’m going to start it actually what’s what’s the situation here is any iron no all right let’s start it uh right here and we’re gonna want this to be double wide but i’m gonna start just by going down like this And we’re gonna see if we can find some iron unless anyone has found a cave so far but yeah if anyone has uh some iron can make a bucket that would be really useful i’ll start to plant some of these seeds um but in the meantime i am going to start If you lost miku ask someone to post the uh coordinates in the chat ah here we go i got the iron and with that i’ll be able to get a bucket now uh for all the guys who are on the chat on youtube i apologize that i am Not reading the chat right now i do have the chat open and i will be uh responding to some of your messages we’ll be doing some q a but right now we just got to get this stream started oh and it’s already starting to get dark Here so that is no good uh does anyone we only need one bed one bed on this server in order to get going in fact maybe i should just make get some shears and shear those sheep that is probably the best option let us start by making uh this And you know what can i can i smelt these birch fences i can too oh sorry to the guy who gave me those fences but uh yeah we need some iron we need some shears uh we need a bucket i’m gonna hopefully no one dies the game difficulty is hard though You don’t want to have to go back to spawn that’s for sure uh all right she is she is sure she is cheers okay um give me the planks there we go all right where are the sheep where are the sheep sheep here’s sheepy sheepy sheep I just need a little bit of wool just a little bit of wool we’ve got plenty of dogs here they should keep the skeletons away just a little bit of wool come on oh we got some cows pigs where are these sheep where are they we’ve got we’ve got literally every Passive mob here except except for uh there’s one near brennan well i mean where are you brennan you have to post your coordinates riley if you don’t know base where is it where is it um it’s in this direction i’m pretty sure that’s the beach there So what i will imagine we’ll be doing this today is we’ll be getting our getting all the basics done we’ll be setting up uh what is it again uh oh what stay get lost we’ll be setting up the basics getting a community mine started building our basic house stuff Uh where is it it is 450 zed four okay all just going to get the simplest thing going that i can here put this down get those growing oh i don’t need the bucket anymore my dude i already got one i literally just placed the water all right And we’ll get those growing And okay we’ve got just enough to make us um oh whoops i don’t want to be clicked on that i want to be clicked here let’s make some sticks all right i need to get started with some proper tools here let’s get that upgrade here we go oops here you go Okay um did anyone get any string anyone get any string make some fishing rods in the meantime i am going to keep digging down here so the the trick with this right is you want to dig down one two three four five so that way you can put stairs on it and No one will hit their head and it’s gonna start to get very dark here i should actually go and get uh some torches anyone got some coal perhaps we definitely need you don’t have any string oh that’s disappointing cole yep i have to say the chance of getting Seeds on java is way higher way higher on java than it is on uh on bedrock at least it feels that way yeah here we go uh if the game is crashing while you’re trying to watch the stream as well change it from full screen mode to uh windowed mode Full screen mode tends to cause some problems if i want to like leave the game now to go like check on the chat um oh i i so i will uh read the chat a little bit more soon um but someone did ask what version we’re playing and we’re Playing on the latest version this is uh 1.14.4 1.14.4 here we go we’re getting plenty of seeds going here by the way if you want to check where your claim is you just get a stick and right now i can see that mine is just outside of uh the area Or is it no it’s just inside it’s just inside okay um if you want to resize your claim or make a new claim then you need a golden shovel um so you’ll have to get that one one gold ore in order to do that i am just going to clear out these trees Which are in the way of where i would like all right and i’m still i am getting pretty low so if this food can uh start growing quickly that’d be great uh does anyone have some string anyone have some string uh so can everyone come to me i am here i am at Bring string to 450 726 right bring all the string here i’m here waiting we need uh some easy food while we get these crops growing um so bring the string here if you manage to get any from killing spiders during the night and i will make a fishing rod And i will fish for everyone fish for everyone and clear away some of this junk oh dang it did not want to do that all right bring it to me mangle if you’ve got string i need that string yep you got string destiny if not there’s no point being here just Flipping your head all about all right oh you have an egg that’s two eggs um actually that that is something that we should do someone want to bring me some iron ingots we’ll make an egg farm fine ingots will make an egg farm we just need one hopper Let’s jump down some more of these trees oh that was nasty sounding all right mercier do you want to come to me and bring some bone meal and then i’ll throw up some of these crops i guess but all right i think the only thing oh someone threw me coal that’s helpful actually i am to make one campfire and i’m going to convert the rest into torches i think Yep i i really don’t need i really don’t need oak saplings let’s light abandoned mine shaft Tell me the coordinates and we can get the string out of that where is the abandoned mine shaft guys i shouldn’t stray too far from here mob gripping is partly on creepers will no cost other than the initial cost of creating the campfire come on give me that food all right i’m gonna straight away put this down and we’re gonna we’re gonna get cooking and i am gonna catch some food for everyone once i get my food back up i’m gonna set Up a proper area but i i’m gonna need to get some fish for myself to begin with oh that’s no good that is no good we don’t need puffer fish pocket edition and bedrock edition players could play this um i would have liked to actually have made this on bedrock edition but unfortunately um there’s no grief prevention two three four i actually need it i’ve done this well enough i don’t know There’s there is no grief prevention that i could find that that wasn’t intuitive i think the only kind of any kind of grief prevention would have involved me manually making claims and uh i don’t want to do that uh with command blocks essentially and i certainly don’t want to do that yep Apparently i need to eat some food i certainly don’t want to do that so yeah we’re going to have to use um java edition i don’t know why mojang just hasn’t implemented a kind of automatic like an inbuilt grief prevention uh into the game i don’t know why this Needs to be supported by third parties someone expanding this on the other side perhaps okay let me put that there i’m gonna get some coal out of here immediately broke it um but yeah obviously you can’t play without grief prevention that’s just there’s going to be an absolute pain um Hey how’s it going jason nice to see you here hope everything’s going well you bought that new car yet those of you don’t know poor jason’s wife was involved in a nasty car accident he’s fine i believe but uh car was totally totaled totally turtled completely destroyed i need to get a new One it whole bunch of someone else just use this up we’re on level 14. uh oh mine is nearly out i’m gonna have to use this wooden one come on here we are level 11. this is where we need to be mining at ooh scary noises Yeah i mean with this many people on here we’d definitely be playing at a very very low speed on the old server so the community mine is well uh at the base of it is at 540. but um yeah here we go so let’s uh let’s start with one of these And so of course the way to do this is to leave three between each mine shaft we’ve got some redstone over here let’s convert as many of these into stairs as possible i guess oh wait what have you guys done yeah it should be one stair at a time Uh there’s a few there’s a few a few missters here that’s no good what are you doing what are you doing there we go okay let’s try this again what what nothing quite like placing stairs in a mine shaft oh you guys doing here okay oops okay i definitely did not do this Ah you guys you guys oh man this is making me motion sick uh whoever is here yeah you you cannot you cannot uh get out of the way and here we go and um yes this is tacky as but i am going to just build up a a pillar to the Community mine just for now what goodness sake oh it’s easier to find andesite and uh you know what i’ll i’ll just i’ll put the the gravel down and um what the i did not want to do that okay and safely back down oh yeah that was a mistake whoops Okay there goes all the torches i can’t believe i did that yeah that was that was not the cleverest move um let’s uh i just i’ll just ignore that i wonder how long it’s going to take for it to get down there okay let’s get the furnace out let us Let’s get this iron smelted oh people are just throwing diamonds on me guys i don’t need your diamonds i’ll get my own i get my own oh i can make a whole diamond block now all right um well i’m definitely gonna need there you go you want those they’re worthless but um I can’t do anything if your stuff despawn my dude that is on you that is on you well thank you guys for the generous diamond domain donations i’ll say that’s taxes um what else can i make i should be able to get a shovel why can’t i why doesn’t it show the shovel It’s weird actually what do i need for the axe oh i’m out of i’m out of sticks this is why there we go let’s grab an axe and we should be able to get a shovel as well look at that all right thanks guys really appreciate It uh that should make carrying on with the rest of this stream significantly more easy what is it that you want uh bannon yeah don’t leave floating trees that’s a big no-no do not leave floating trees i’ve got my one cooked cod here you need food yeah all right let’s let’s See what we can do in the food production area keep that on me keep these The activity of the server is structured around the sequential creation of themed settlements. You may build in any established settlement that you choose, but please stick to that settlement’s theme. The theme of the settlement currently being built is “medieval”. It is located at X 440, Z 0.
There is a world border 1536 blocks wide centred at X 256, Z -256. It will be expanded in the future.
The Nether and the End are currently disabled. They will be enabled for separate live stream events shortly.

Building [5] Build in the established settlements according to their theme.
Mining [6] Try to stick to the community mine in each settlement. [7] Place torches on the left-hand side of the mineshaft. [8] Only use the designated areas (TBD) for mining large amounts of sand, gravel, and terracotta.
Chat [9] No spam or advertising. [10] Use /msg for private conversations. [11] Don’t ask for OP, ranks, or items.
Livestreaing/Recording [12] Be respectful of players recording or streaming. [13] If you are participating in a live stream event, you must listen to the stream for instructions.
