Hello Gamers and welcome back to igniter SMP season 3 episode 4 So today we’re finally going to build our starter base Yes you heard me we’re going to build the starter base we were previously missing the components that was key to these the tree farms specifically the mango tree farm to make

The build possible but we did that last episode however all the outputs from that so far have been put into the shop to make sure we have an income to buy the other materials and to regear after dying a few times recently the Shop’s been doing pretty well we’ve been

Getting a lot of business and uh investing in making sure we have it fully stocked was definitely the right move I think so we need to get ourselves in a position where we have all the materials we need and to do that we need to invest in the tree Empire a little

More we need a few important additions that are going to enable us to flourish and maintain our position as Mr tree on the server Step One Tree Farm Fuel bone meals specifically and we need an awful lot of it so we’re going to build a farm

Design I’ve used in the past a wonderful modular system by mango that should give us all the bone meal we desire for now at least and we’re going to put that right under our base right next to the tree farms so without further Ado let’s jump straight into building it All right bone Mill ready let’s take a look at this guy it is a beast I have built these before in other worlds and uh let fly to free cam actually they’re very very efficient at what they do just got to Stone gem at the side here and underneath we have

These little bone meal stations with moss and that spreads the moss turns the stone above into moss and then the stone gen pushes the stone into the Moss which breaks it and then water flushes everything into the middle where it gets composted turned into bone Mill and then

It’s pumped back into the system it goes all the way through this little Waterway here and it restocks the uh bone meal needed to power the system in the first place there goes all the way around on a loop once all of these are full then any

Overflow will spin out the end here and I’ve just put in a bit of a temporary storage system at the end to capture and collect all that bone meal everything else is just timers and clocks and everything to make everything work in the right order and in the right set of

Sequences it’s very good this design is by all mango and it is modular so I’ve done a double module here like four four stone beds um I’ve built one of these before that was 16 so so you can just keep on going really as as long as the

Uh as long as it stays loaded at all times you can make these as big as you want and they are fantastic they are complicated but very much worth it I’ve already put some seed bone meal in and I think I think we’re about ready to uh

Give it a first test so yeah the on switch is up here so we’re going to flick this guy on and it’s going to make an awful lot of noise boom there we go look at that straight away got loads look how much Moss just flies into the center

Immediately it is a rather insane amount you see the compost is going like crazy we’ll start seeing bone meal being shot out here it’s going to be restocking these uh dispensers that are powering the Moss here and making everything work and in no time at all we’ll start to see

Some excess popping out the end here okay this is the last dispenser in the run the last one to get fooled and it is at capacity which means all we’re getting now is profit so there are eight dispensers and uh each of those has a hopper going into them so that’s 12

Saacks time 8 that are now completely full and everything else should now be coming in here oh look at that that stocks up pretty quick so yeah that’s going to start filling up and in no time at all we’re going to fill this chest array with bone meal and never have to

Worry about it again fantastic success and soon as that’s done we’re going to get back to a bit of AFK time at the tree farm cuz we need to restock okay first little AFK session there not too shabby put in about a just under a double chest worth of bone Mill

And yeah got an awful lot of stuff back out again so we’re going to go restock the shop and we made a deal with neat freeze uh we were really after some Redstone to help build a lot of this stuff cuz it needed a lot and I didn’t

Have enough and she needed Spruce so we made a deal for a Shuler of spruce for 10 stacks of redstone this was a lot of redstone oo it’s raining Redstone nice yay fantastic I’ve got three stacks oh four Stacks here wow how many stacks was that I’ve got four here four

And six 7 8 9 wo 10 whoa bonus thank you with this I can make progress on the uh on the bur Farm a lot faster and I can get you your voice real quick yay okay thank you thank you pleas you’re doing business with you great deal yeah I

Needed that cuz I hate Mining and I’ve used all the Redstone I have so far so that’s going to make things a lot easier thank you nice nice and you’re planning to make your startup base here right yeah it’s going to be here I’ve got to clear the area first

And get rid of these horrible animals I I was like are you going to do zeros video like how many CS can I breathe before the server kicks me yeah this is that’s the maximum that will fit in a um 2x two and then they just uh

Yeah it’s not pleasant it’s not pleasant they’re going underground and there will be a lot less of them I just needed uh a good food supply to start off with and there’s chickens as well them in a whole thousands of them ah they’re all going to go and this

Is going to be a nice build sometime soon but uh okay priorities yes priorities I know I know okay well pleasure doing business with you I’m heading off because I’m going to bed okay s well thanks thanks for the deal okay catch you later see you

Bye okay our debts to neat freeze to owe her the spruce in exchange for the Redstone is now complete delivered that she’s a very happy customer so now we can move on to the rest of the work relating to building up our tree Empire so the wood shop is going well

Very well in fact so much so we need to put a lot more effort into restocking this thing I think in order to make sure we’re not losing any customers so there’s some changes we need to make in order to make sure that we can fully capitalize on the wood Empire that we

Are building here one of those changes we need to make is an investment in more automated tree farming techniques specifically these guys this is a dark oak sapling dark oak trees are another one of those special types you cannot do this you can bone meal to your heart’s

Content here nothing is going to happen because these guys require 2 by two they always always can only grow this way and they will grow just like that now all the tree farms we have built to date are based on a single block tree

Growth they don’t do this 2 by two so we need something special in order to make this possible and I have found a farm design that I think it’s going to work we’re going to need another Tree Farm in order to make sure we can Harvest and sell this type of wood alongside

Everything else without having to manually chop these guys down which is possible but yeah that ain’t my style the thing is with these tree farms is they’re all powered by TNT and they’re all rather tall like both of these guys which means they need a big old space

And we’re not putting big ugly Farms above ground in this world we’re keeping them all hidden especially in the the spawn chunks here in the center and I need it close to my bone meal machine behind us that we just made in order to power the thing so it’s got to go down

Here which means more digging there’s a lot of empty space up here but we’d have to remove a large portion of this material in order to fit in it’s it’s an adaptation of this one basically we need to keep this Farm as is for the SLE tree

Growth but we’ll need the 2x two one going to go in here and uh we’re going to need a beacon I think to make this a lot easier because doing this just with a plain old efficiency 5 pick is uh taking too long we need to speed this up in order to

Make sure getting these farms in is more efficient so we’re going to the nether we’re going to go to a fortress we’re going to get some wither skulls and we’re going to get ourselves a beacon that is going to make this way way faster so off into the nether we

Ventured nether fortress number one I found was fairly large and I did manage to get a few with the skeletons to spawn but after a while they just kind of stopped and uh whatever I tried I just couldn’t get any more to spawn so I moved on and looked for another after

Exploring some more I found the next Fortress and it was a bigon clearly someone had been here before and hunted for skulls so this this was looking promising it wasn’t long until I got with the skeleton spawning and started taking them out 29 skeletons later with looting three and the first skull dropped

Hrah soon I had a second and all was looking Rosy I kept battling but uh then three Blaze ganged up on me and three hits later I was dead thankfully I had the coordinates of where I died so I was confident I could get my stuff back and

Also get those two skulls I gathered so far Dano came in clutch with a save by lending me a backup set of wings I Enchanted these along with some basic gear grabbed some obsidian and headed to the Overworld equivalent of those coordinates I set up my portal and I

Ended up exactly where I died slay a few items were lost in the blaze fires but I got most of it back which was a massive win I quickly left returned those wings fully enchanted with double the Rockets back to do as a thank you and headed back to get that third

Skull I was trying to get skull number three I was putting out fires and then I accidentally hit a zomb fire piglin dooming me to a second death in The Fortress and when I got back this guy had stole my elytra so I had to box him

In and take him out and then uh not leave that little box until they all deaged finally I get the third skull after 107 wither skeletons have been taken out I head to the end portal prep the area fill it with chickens for Roses take the w down and I get my first

Nether star the beacon is made and that was quite a mission I’m glad that’s over so now we got a beacon we can get back to dig in let’s stick ourselves in the next Tree Farm So there we have it a dark oak tree farm so how does this guy work well it’s uh basically the same as the enx for everything single tree farm over there except there’s a 2X two here it’s an ad adaptation of that the bone meal is placed here instead right next to where

You plant and you are the one who plants it so when this is on the TNT is duping and falling and uh you sit in this thing here it’s actually quite difficult to do so I’ve figured out a way to get in there by by doing this with your elytra

You can I’ve put in an additional extended on switch here which flicks the switch over here to turn the whole thing on from here because it’s impossible to get in once it starts going and uh it flicks you side to side so I’ll just be moving side to side here on a piston

Pulling the composter back and forward you can put your your saplings in here to get them distributed to you and it basically moves you so your view is here and you’re going you’re planting aiming at the back one and then plant plant plant plant as it goes across the two

Going back and forward as it’s being constantly bone Meed and then blown up right in front of you uh that’s it really it works okay not fantastic okay but it does work and while I was at it I put in this guy as you saw from the time

Lapse this is something I forgot to do before this is a proper farm so it’s U you require four Moon meal on a mangrove Leaf to make a propig which is what this kind of does um firing really quick like that and then the Piston breaks the proper

Collects it in the mine cart which goes in The Hoppers underneath relatively straightforward another real mango classic and uh this gives us all the propagules that we’ll need that we can then use in our mango Farm over here didn’t have that before so that’s going

To enable us to make as much Mangrove as we want and that’s important because as I mentioned before we need an awful lot of Mangrove for our build of our starter base and that’s next that’s the plan anyway but before we do we got to go prep the area upstairs because uh yeah

As you saw from what’s above ground it’s a bit of a mess we got a lot of things to clean up specifically we got to get rid of this horrible old chest monster so we’ll put a storage system underground uh which will be in the basement of our build once it’s complete

Where we’re going to have our main storage system so all of this has got to be removed then these horrific Animal Farms they got to go so I do need a continuing source of food namely the beef and I will move some of these guys downstairs uh not all of them will make

It but they’re going to have a new home the chickens in here yes they they’re not going to they’re not going to be sticking around either so step one I am going to build a sub basement and in that sub basement we’re going to have a

System for the cow Brees and the beef production that’s going to help us sustain ourselves then we’ll have a nice clear area here to start the build when I say sub basement this is the basement where we have uh the beginnings of a couple of little Farms so we have our

Glow Len Farm there we have our mini smelter and fuel maker here so I think what we’re going to do is go underneath here put in an additional layer and that’s going to be far enough away cuz you can hear right now there’s animal noises are horrific we don’t really want

To be hearing them very often so I want them far enough away so that unless we’re down here we don’t hear anything cuz they’re annoying so let’s jump into another time lapse and put in a Sub sub BAS All right sub basement is done and we already have some guests living down there so this is our basement basement and from here we get down to sub basement and this is the little room we’ve carved out it’s a bit of a tribute to the uh the reasons why it exists so

Obviously we have our cows I dropped them in from above and uh this works pretty much the same as it did before just in a much more nice and convenient way we can feed these guys from above by raising them up in the water giving them

A bit of wheat like so then all the babies they’ll drop down below and when they grow up we can push this button which will dispense lava above them and um take out the adults only and that’ll turn into our food supply and then we’re going to get them fed by um some

Building Materials in there I just we’re going to get them fed from here this is going to be our wheat farm so we’re going to have a villager in here who’s going to be farming the wheat trying to pass it to a second villager we’re going to put in a mine cart

Sitting on here and uh it’s going to get caught by these oper mine carts there’s a hopper chain into a self powerered dropper here which puts it into a water stream and takes it into the chest so we get all of the wheat ready for use right

Here in the cow Farm where we need It Isn’t that cool and hey check it out a little tribute there to the farmers as well as the cows isn’t that nice and I’ve already got two Villages where did I put them I boated them over and attracted them with workstations they’re

In a dirt box right here ready to go so I’ve got to move them in here but I think before I do rather than just put two villagers in here and have to move more in the future I think the most sensible thing to do is to uh turn this

Into a village reader at the same time time so that’s what I’m going to do next I can put two villages in the center here and I can put some beds over there that the babies will try running over to and get caught in a water stream and we

Can turn that on and off as desired to make villagers on demand basically and then one of those babies will grow up and put them as the person to pass to over here H fatal floor I’ve just realized I keep forgetting when you make uh villager Farms like this the wheat you

Don’t get the wheat you get bread we don’t want the bread we want the wheat for the cows so uh in order to fix this uh I’ve got to just change my plans quickly so instead of putting a villager in here they’re going to trade with I can block this off

Actually and instead we’re just going to have a lot of Hoppers that will just go straight into the self power dropper here so that should work just fine no problem quick adaptation okay so things have been changed up a little in here we uh extended all the way out back here so we

Have what is now a village of breeder this is uh just a Farmland nothing being collected just food for these suit to keep them happy and in here they have access to the little bedroom that they can see that makees someone asleep there and um yeah the babies will they will

Fall down the hall and they will go upstairs into here which is uh definitely not cell once they’re in here we can easily pick them up and put them where we want got a nice little uh viewing platform out into our cave basement I guess all the way down here

So we get to see what’s going on and this is the first baby that’s come from them and he is our farmer producing the wheat and there’s a system any it’s just Hoppers underneath this tons and tons and tons of Hoppers so anything he breaks gets picked up and pumped back

Into here we see there’s a whole bunch of seeds coming through we have a little item filter up here now and that separates out the wheat so we can feed the cows anything that’s not wheat comes out here and is ejected right here for

This guy to come pick up so he can get his seeds back and continue planting there we go very happy with that and I really love our cow mural so this is uh this is all going very very well indeed there we go there’s our first little child

And boom there he goes I suspect he’s going to get stuck in this water stream until he grows up so he’ll be there for 10 or 15 minutes when he grows up we’ll be small enough to get caught by that and pulled along and deposited upstairs so we’ve been getting a little

Christmy here on the server and spawn island has been decorated check this out there a couple of things here to have a look at number one it’s giant stocking this is cassus cassus is a Dutch and German St Nicholas Day that was at the beginning of December and everyone got a

Little box with a little special present this was from dippy and uh here we go we got our DIY Christmas tree kit so grow our tree put our decorations on put the things in item frames and um yeah I guess in the sort of style of these guys

Here nice little uh item frame decorations on these and we’ve also got this zero made this this is our secret Santa and uh my name is already in the pot it’s uh already been done and the date has passed for final entries and now it

Is time for us to figure out who we’ve got o I think that’s the first time I’ve had a piece of paper but I’m not going to go read it right now in fact we’re going to wait until next episode to find out who it is we’ve got and whether

We’re going to give them a present or a prank we’ll just have to wait and see okay that was the last major obstacle up here to uh having the space we need to be able to put in our starter base so I’ve got my last little bit of

Material Gathering to go and do and without further Ado should crack on and put in place this St base now the design I’m going for I’m going to put it up on screen now I love to take inspiration from The Real World and put that into my worlds

And that’s exactly what we’re going to do here I’ve got a bit of an obsession with mid-century modern stuff at the moment and having recently moved to part of Canada where there are tons and tons of mid-century modern homes like 1960s Bungalow sides splits rear splits all these different kinds of houses I’m

Living in one right now actually and uh yeah I love them they’re really cool and that’s exactly what I’m going to do so the screen on image now is the inspiration I’m going to be taking and I did this design I Ed this uh to make the

Design myself I also had a little bit of help from one of my patrons one of my long-term friends who’s a really good Builder just helped me work out a few of the little details because uh I got the interior sort of sheap a little bit mixed up and yeah needed another opinion

And they very kindly contributed and helped sort out a few of the little details with it so we’re going to jump into a time lapse now and put this starter base into the world let’s do it Oh okay this sta base at least the uh the beginnings of it are in place at last I’m so happy this is done my goodness Gathering the materials for this was a real real slog uh spoilers behind me there don’t pay attention to what’s going on so uh

Yeah we’re on the roof and it is a very gently sloping sort of multipronged roof with a little glass Skylight over here antennas and chimney are all over and let’s go down to the ground level so caveat here it’s not 100% finished this is just the basic box outline of

Everything that I want in it I need to do a little bit more foliage and some landscaping around here and let’s have a little fly around quickly um yeah I want to do something around this area I want to put a little veggie patch out the

Back here and do a little bit more sort of terraforming and stuff to make it feel like it fits in but um yeah the basic fundamental Al structure in the material types I wanted to use are all in place our little allies got a new home attached to the the front door post

It seems to be quite keen on getting up on the roof everything is spawn prooved everywhere uh including the roof which is why we got a few bits of glow liing up there oh my goodness look I missed a block we’ll sort that out but uh it will

Be spawn proof entirely so we’ll get that sorted and yeah let’s just have a little walk around so the front door is right here got a little balcony and a Terrace at the side here around this side here we got the the chimney breast tried to go with a bit of

A bit introduce a little bit of wonk into the whole thing um I always like putting lots of sort of balconies and big windows in builds cuz I hate going inside and feeling sort of constrained so I put tons of Windows in this thing this is where the sort of rear split

Goes on so it looks like a bungalow from the front but it’s a rear split with two stories popping out the back there back door that’s going to come out to what will be a garden right here uh the little balcony Veranda thing going on bit more foliage and overhang yeah so

Let’s hop on back through to the front door okay so upon entering we go into the lobby this is going to be a kitchen in here still needs a little few little details over here’s my enchanting setup yep and here’s a little little stove little fireplace in the corner here’s that uh

Vera I think I might change the orientation of these this is meant to be like a little land in pad so when I want to take off and go somewhere I’ve got like somewhere to come in I might keep that as is it’s nice and easy to uh to

Do that and come straight into the house without using a door it’s always very handy uh this is the sort of this is the bedroom area I’m thinking of introducing a bit of a division here not of solid wall but something different this is the

Sort of um living area I guess or the the rest of the bedroom up here and we’ve got our nice little balconies to look out over the land and our Veranda out the front here with table and chairs and we can look across spawn and everything that’s going on and all the

Pranks that are happening for for the Christmas presents so then we can head on downstairs and this is where things start to get connected with what we were doing before so this uh this actually ground level is similar to where the ground level was before and over down

Here we have our little stove in the corner furnace this is going to be a living area I need to make it a little more cozy we got our cats and a rug down here and our storage so this is going to be our storage for St base I have

Organized it sort of it needs a little bit more tidying up and labeling but we’ll get that in place remove these shulkers eventually uh but this is where we’re going to be storing all of our bits and pieces and yeah there’s a back door right here this leads out to where

The garden is going to be and yeah the Vera up top there now this is where we connected up to everything we did before so down here I need to do a bit of blending between the the different builds but this is our basement that we built right underneath

The underground floor there need to do some more tidying up as you can see but our smelter is down here our glow liken Farm is here and look our villagers hey guys Village of breed is working pretty well we’ got a whole bunch of villages

In there I have turned it off for now I don’t want this overflowing with with guys so that’s all there and of course this connects to our sub basement and our little village is set up and of course out looking out across our farms in the caves underneath so

That’s the whole base coming together really nice so I’m just going to hop into free cam here get an angle and uh put it up beside the original inspiration image here and we can uh see if we can see how it correlates between the two there zero flying out of my base

Having a look around thanks zero so as you can see yeah we’ve got the the chimney around the side that’s from the original image and it sort of pokes up above the roof line we’ve got that sloping roof line with the multiple Peaks out the front I adjusted this one

Quite a bit as I was building it and made it quite a bit longer but we’ve got the sort of Veranda Style with the side door at the front there the front door around the the side of the big window with a little frame around it a couple

Of Windows around the other side there flowers all the way across the front I’ve got to add a few more but the boxes in the window everything else and um yeah doesn’t it look fantastic really really pleased with how this turned out and of course around the back we don’t

Have a picture reference for the back and the original picture would have just been a bungalow but I kind of like the idea of nestling this into a hill so it lands a little higher at the front and a little lower at the back and that

Enables us to sort of drop down and do this sort of rear make it a much bigger build basically and put in this uh this rear rear split effect on the house and I’m very very pleased with it so in between episodes we’ll do a little bit

More detailing and then we’ll go and give you a bit of an updated tour to show you how it fits in but for now we have a base finally we’re no longer just uh sitting on a big plotter land with a chess monster and horrible Animal Farms

Out in the open we’ve joined everyone else most of whom did their builds in the first episode that are priorities so as I mentioned before I came up with this build myself based on the picture but I did get a bit of help from people in my community and from one
