docm77 – Mindcrack Minecraft Server – Arena Flooding System

Foreign with another Minecraft video and today we do something special and whenever I’ve got special tasks I call in the troops hey guys hello hi dog gel and pricey with a sore throat so you’re better don’t talk in this video right yeah so as you all know lately you know

We were meeting up at the Minecraft server and we were fixing beat up this roof and that turned into a naval battle and ever since that you know everybody was talking about we should have an automated Arena flooding system and yeah I thought about it all the time

Yeah we really need that and yeah so we made it today this afternoon didn’t take us long and yeah that’s how it works right here you can see the dispensers are normally hidden and when you activate the system and the floor lowers by one block and water gets dispensed

And if you press again we have a wooden button you can also shoot it with an arrow you know the floor pops back up before that the water gets sucked back up into the dispensers and we have a perfectly fine Arena and the big advantage of course of this design

Yeah prices you have to wait until it despawns man is that I know you cannot see the dispensers you know it’s flush completely hidden and yeah JL the Piston Master struck again he helped me out here you know no time together with pricey and yeah making this system here

And yeah maybe gel you can explain a bit what’s going on down there yeah it’s actually pretty simple so if we take a look at over here there’s an uh basic design example so this is a common well-known design actually to power a complete floor of pistons and as

You can see the repeaters just powered these torches here and yeah this just makes sure that every piston gets power and they are being activated in a row so it’s like a wave going through the floor as you can see the first row activates onto the second one and I think it’s

Yeah if you just take a look at the side you can see how it’s set up it’s very easy to build once you get a hang of it and it’s fairly resource efficient as well you know try to save up on some repeaters if possible and so on so it’s

Doable of course you know this arena there is a bit smaller than the arena we got in the Minecraft server it’s just a proof of concept but it definitely would be doable with the resources we share and have on the server so that is fairly simple the more complicated or tricky

Part was the control setup control mechanism here we decided to go go for a button because you know that gives the option of shooting it with an arrow kind of I don’t know it’s kind of a cool feature I thought so it starts with the T flip-flop and then yeah

Yeah this button here is as talk I already explained it’s controls the C flip prop here which goes into an ABBA switch so first always the floor is being triggered and after that the dispensers so for example right now actually well that’s the kind of the point of the Abba switch it’s it’s

Depending on the state of the T flip flop so when we turn it off first The Defenders suck the water out of the arena and fill the buckets back in and then the floor raises and when we turn it on uh first the floor drops down and

Then the the spindles are getting filled yeah so maybe you can activate the setup while I’m back here and capturing it so you guys see triggers and you can see the two outgoing signals here the green line is the one we use to power the dispensers there’s also this dual Edge trigger

Required because I mean the floor has thrust to be lower and raised but the Defenders actually have to be triggered each time which means that you have to turn them on every time so this this setup here just uh um if the signal goes out or goes on and

Both times you will get a short pause at the end here that’s a dual Edge trigger here so it triggers The Defenders each time and therefore yeah just makes the system work yeah and of course you need to make sure to extend the signal around here with repeaters so it actually reaches

And that’s about it you can we also thought about you know you could easily add some more dispensers dispensing boats into the system right away because the funniest thing is maybe pricey you could play this a boat down somewhere at the edge yeah if you had boats being dispensed out in the outer

Rim and somebody would activate the system um yeah you would see you know the boats then are actually picked up and kind of drawn to the middle and everybody could basically pick boats and go out so go out for the naval battles and basically the winner in the end then

Could take the shot of Pride and hit the the button and reset the arena and you know stand there as the Glorious winner of the Minecraft naval battle made possible by JL and the crew thanks a lot guys a really smart design Sleek you know um

I’m gonna take a careful look at this here if you want to try to rebuild it so you see the repeater settings how it all goes together I’m going to capture it from here a bit sadly we cannot put down a world download as this is will be secret hideout server
