Welcome back to Skyblock today is a good day I have an ambitious project in front of us and one that could potentially get us killed hopefully not but first we gotta go clean out our passive mob farm here the goal of this series for me is to automate everything because I like Automation and I want to do it in a way that is easy for anyone to do themselves so if you guys are playing along if you downloaded the map which there is a link in the description by the way you should be able to recreate some of the Farms That we’re doing pretty easily I’m not going to get too crazy with it because it is just us here and as you can see we’re doing just fine already I’m thinking I’m going to get started on this project straight away today however we need some resources I don’t want it To look ugly remember I don’t want to build everything on a cobble so I’m cooking some Stone and that’ll that’ll be that’ll be good old school Minecraft you know with the the bricks and stuff and also I want to get some more wood because I want to use wood in the build Too I think it’ll look really good and be super productive so even though I promise no Cobble you might be wondering well why do I keep building out of it and just the base of the world here the very bottom of the world it is going to be a little Cobblestone platform that We’re eventually going to build on top of with the much more good looking blocks so yeah it’s gonna get covered guys don’t worry about it we’ll just pinch a little bit of dirt from our mob farm just for now and I have a way of making more dirt later it’s going to Require a trip to the nether I believe but uh yeah we will eventually be able to get more dirt so that we can expand things out make bigger Farms of course all right we got all the samplings planted and we should be growing trees momentarily and while we’re waiting for Our saplings to grow up it’s back to the Cobblestone grind all right time to start planning out how we’re going to make this mob farm and I think one thing I want to do is have the mobs come to me so if the entire time we’re able to be Generating hostile mobs and have them kind of flow over to us so they don’t despawn since they would be you know mostly out of range and then I think that would be good we can always just have them right here to harvest whenever we need to yeah that’s that’s the new Word I’m using this is Harvest it sounds Humane and stuff right I think I’ll just go out in this direction I want to make sure that there’s nothing above our head when we build the platform because that will bring down the spawn rate and we’ll Just bridge out here and see what we got all right so in about 24 blocks out and I want to take a look at the chunk borders because whenever I build things in Skyblock I kind of like them to be in a chunk that way I know not to build Anything above that chunk so if we do an F3 G that will show our chunk borders so we actually are like hitting right here a chunk border so if we moved our kind of AFK spot three spots in then we can just leverage this area here to build Our mob farm yeah I think I’ll just use this chunk right here to make the spawning platform alright so this is all we really need for a spawning platform not a lot of space needed when you’re this low in the world and I did go up a Few blocks just so that we can have the mobs kind of drop down into a little water canal to send them over to us now what we need to do is actually build the rest of the shell of this Farm out of non-solid blocks so we’re going to use Things like stairs and slabs because we’re going to use a technique with mob pathfinding where they are like attracted to full blocks and we’re going to build a big cube of full blocks over here and then we’re gonna trick them into dropping down into our little water Canal need to get a bunch more stairs and we got to put a roof on this thing so that it’s always dark even in the daytime thank you All right the spotting box is now done we’ve got the roof on and I did a couple things because there actually are a couple Hostile Mobs I do not want coming out of this Farm one Enderman because I do want to have a little water canal and Enderman in water don’t exactly get Along too well and two I don’t want any spiders because they’re too wide and I want to keep it a one wide water canal so I’m going to just focus on creepers skellies and zombies for now that’s why I put down these trapdoors here every two blocks you can see and that will Make sure the spiders can’t spawn in here and since it’s only a Too High room we won’t get any Enderman so that’ll take care of that now what we have to do is lure the mobs through their pathfinding if we put a trapdoor on that side see they think they can just walk Across but because it’s open they’re gonna fall down in to here and this is where we can create our Waterway to carry them over to our spot all right the shell of the farm is pretty much built the last thing I need to do is get the waterways in so basically what’s Going to happen is the mobs are going to try to go over to this area like I said before fall down here so now we need a water canal to carry them over and I’m actually going to step it up here at the end as well so that as I stand here They’re kind of falling down in front of me so we need to get more water for that right now we’ve only got one water source to our name and so what we need to do is find another water source in the world and make an infinite water Source for us so we’ll have all the water we could possibly need now if I bridge over to that Mangrove I believe there’s another water source there which means that mega long climb up this ladder and placed in a lot of blocks over the void hoping we don’t fall to Our death all right moment of truth yes there’s water here now I’ll take that thank you I think I’ll come back to harvest this tree later we’re on a mission today do we dare I know it’s hardcore and all but it’s always fun okay that was a little scary all right I Think we’ll set up our little watering hole right here next to the ladder and I like using stairs let me show you a little trick that I like doing if we go like that we go like that and we go like that now we can put water in this side One and we’ll take our water source from the cobblestone generator and we will put it in this corner right here and now right here in the middle that is our infinite water source you can see it’s gonna reform there and from here you don’t even see it let’s start making our Water canal I had an idea what if we use campfires along the way to soften the mobs up as they travel through our water canal that could be a thing because then we won’t have to hit them as much since we can’t really lift them up and drop Them to bring their health down because you know we don’t have a bubble elevator in and a lot of mobs don’t swim anymore uh then we’ll just have to kind of staircase them up and in the meantime maybe we can yeah leverage some campfires let’s see what do we need to Make those looks like charcoal sticks and logs okay I don’t think I need 10. I’m gonna make I’ll say six for now all right if we put a source right here in the corner that should make sure that everything flows into this one wide right here there’s no dead spots yeah That’ll work out really good and we can continue the water on if we put these signs here and then another source there and yeah as mobs come through they should just flow right into this one I mean baby ones I guess could get stuck there baby zombies but they’ll just get Pushed by the next guy that comes through it’ll be fine all right this should be the final step we gotta sign there to stop the water and clean that block out once more take away these ladders that I used to get up and yeah that should work all right it’s Time to test it one last thing to do I gotta remove that one torch that’s in the spawning room that’s the only reason nothing is spawning just yet and it should be somewhere about here in the middle let’s find out here we go all right once I take this out That room should now be dark and if we go over here far enough away at least 24 blocks then we should start to get some mob spawnage uh I hear some mobs getting hurt I’m gonna back up just a little bit just in case I’m hearing mom’s taking Dammit oh there’s our first one it’s a zombie hey a fake cave we got an advancement oh oh creeper toes right in my face and three swings it’s not bad we might need to add a few more campfires in there though oh my gosh we’ve got a working mob farm we’re getting loots We’re getting loot peeps okay my inventory is already getting full and look at this we’ve got some armor nice I’m looking fancy oh look you can actually see the mobs traveling across the campfires that’s pretty cool in fact it would be nice once I get my hands on Some glass to make this so that we can actually see them traveling towards us that would be kind of cool oh you can’t walk away for five seconds it’s full I’ve I’ve already got two iron what okay this mob Farm’s insane let’s go ahead and organize our mob drops real quick We’ll just do this and then that way as we set things in there they should just stack right up and if we take all these bows that are pretty much broken and combine them you can get a decent bow out of the deal I want to shoot Something so bad sorry sheep oh first try well I gotta say that mob farm is actually really easy to build took me like less than an hour to do and it is so productive it’s ridiculous so what was our motivation to build this mob Farm so early on in the game here no it wasn’t for the bones although they are useful in rotten flesh not so much gunpowder could be useful later and yeah we’ll need arrows but that’s not the reason why I built this mob farm the real reason is because there’s a few Mobs that could potentially be in there that we need to pick out of there and use those mobs are a zombie villager and a witch we need two zombie villagers actually because that’s what we’re gonna do to get villager trading going which is as you guys know currently op in Version 1.20.1 we need to heal up some zombies and it’s not gonna be easy I will admit so here’s the idea we’ve got a couple boats here with the chest in it so there’s only one seat which means we can pluck out one one mob at a time Decide if we want to keep it or get rid of it and every time a mob Falls in here it should kind of get nudged into a boat either on the left or the right here so I think that will do and then once we Have a mob that we want we’ll remove the boat and then that should pump them out and we’ll have to recapture them somewhere over here so I might clear out a little bit of space so that we have a Zone to capture the mobs in we’ll see What we get we’ll turn this thing back on in a minute oh oh there we go there we go that’s exactly what we want we’ve got a zombie villager right there so let’s put down a boat let’s say right here and let’s see if we can get him to Chase us over here and into this boat let’s put on our hit boxes so we don’t miss the boat and here goes nothing okay come on guy come on come on come on come to my boat come get in this boat please thank you ah yes trapped in the boat safe and Sound one down one to go there we go we got another one excellent oh look at all the XP stored inside oh and there’s iron on the ground I gotta get that all right here goes nothing come on come on come on let’s get in the boat get in the boat Get in the boat let’s go there we go perfect now we just need a witch oh I finally hear a witch in the system let’s see if we can get her there she is okay get in the vote there she goes okay whoa her legs are sticking out below the Boat that can’t be good before I let her out of the boat I gotta set something up to make sure we trap her all right I think I’m ready I have Escape Routes if I need to I just duck under here and get away from her and I have a little track Here that I’ve made hopefully she’ll follow me along here we lead her up through here and then we jump across this and she should fall into there this is where we want to Stage her so that we can get her throwing potions at us which should Splash and hit these guys to get Them weakness because that’s what we need we need them out of weakness and then we’re gonna have to hit him with golden apples which I’ll figure that part out in a minute here goes nothing come on out oh she’s stuck in the block oh okay here she comes here she comes It’s a little messy okay she’s chasing she’s chasing oh okay what is that am I gonna be able to make this jump now huh come on come on come on come on just follow me follow me follow me come on in uh-oh poison that’s bad that’s bad okay Oh really bad really really really bad really bad really really really bad where’s she going I need to eat oh good she fell in on her own perfect any chance I have a cow over there oh I don’t I could go for some milk right now oh Okay poison has worn off we’re good we didn’t die excellent actually that’s not a bad call we might want to get rid of these guys and see if we can actually get a cow to spawn first before we go too far I don’t want her to despawn so Let’s actually get her in a boat I’m gonna open this up because the chest is in the back I wonder if it’ll be okay to just pop it down here oh she’s suffocating she’s suffocating there we go okay that’ll do she’s fine she can heal herself Now the question is is she still able to throw potions at me if I open this up yep I’m gonna take that as a yup oh perfect look at this we got a cow just in time thank you we are gonna go through so much food doing this so I’m just gonna Keep cooking everything we got and it might be smart to take the cow over there oh yeah Good Times let’s see I want to be able to reach the cow from where we’re at but I don’t want it to get hit by the poison I wonder if that’s good enough okay we Can just barely reach the cow I hope that’s good all right next thing we need to solve gold we need gold and lots of it uh we gotta make golden apples once they get hit with the weakness potions we gotta feed each one of them a golden Apple which means 16 gold ingots and I do have apples right yeah I do so I think I know a place to go I’m gonna go to the nether you might be thinking you’re wearing gold why don’t you just smelt it down well it’s definitely not Going to give us enough so we’re gonna need to get a portal and get it lit and I think what we can do is because we have our lava still in here we can just use a little bit of the lava and fire spread to activate the portal all right I need to make the portal close to the cobblestone generator I borrowed the lava real quick so that I can put in the corners because yeah we can’t go all the way around with obsidian we’re gonna have to we we have to cheap the corners All right so I’m gonna put it right here and we don’t want to miss click any of this obsidian because we don’t have diamonds to pick it back up and we’d be in big trouble so let’s make sure we build this portal correctly one two Three we did it all right now we just need to sprinkle a little wood around this portal and just hope the lava will spread some fire to it all right lava in and we wait whoa a chicken just came flying out of the mob farm that was insane Oh where you going bud looks like I have a buddy that’s gonna wait with me for this to happen this does not want to spread let’s go ahead and move it a little closer see if that helps oh my gosh we got a Wandering Trader over here Let’s see what he’s got oh some dyes for sale I mean I have zero way to get emerald right now so it’s not very helpful but you know what I could go for though these leads could come in handy oh held it of course the second we stop Watching it well it’s been fun hanging out bud all right into the nether we go okay what do we have going on here a little bit another rack oh my gosh no way is this uh like a ruined portal there’s gold literally right here except Oh I don’t think I think I need iron and iron pickaxe for that oh my goodness look around it’s kind of like just like the Overworld where there’s floating islands off in the distance and what do we got okay that looks like Soul Sand looks like a fortress what else we got Warped oh there’s a chest over there I wonder what that’s got in it all right I’m gonna go back get an iron pickaxe and we’re gonna get that gold and those are our apples right there iron pickaxe wait I didn’t get the thing I didn’t get Isn’t it an iron pick I didn’t get the advancement oh oh well no time to dwell on that we gotta get that gold thank you oh where’d it go did I lose it did that goal just did I just loot there it is okay that’s enough another adventure for today and With that we get 18 which means we can make two golden apples perfect and now the difficult part we’ve Gotta Get This Witch to hit us with weakness potion as soon as she hits us with weakness potion we hit these guys with the golden apple however she’s probably Gonna Wanna Poison us as well so oh we could we could die we we could definitely die all right I got my milk bucket in hand we’re gonna open it up and straight away she has a poison she hit herself with poison too oh that was a miss Okay poison again okay I think we have to be poisoned when she hits us with the weakness nope oh gosh oh gosh okay we almost died just there holy cow this is actually terrifying come on oh gosh one heart no half a heart oh my gosh that was almost it Oh quit laughing that was not funny I think I might have been better off facing Blaze all right let’s try this again we are so close to these guys and she is literally right here hopefully this works okay come on next next please there we go there we go there we go yes We did it don’t die don’t die don’t die oh my gosh and they are both shaking they’re both healing oh my gosh we did it no way oh there we go one of them is cured very nice we’re gonna be able to get diamonds suited up oh man I’m Excited anyway
