Progress out here because let’s be honest we’ve been slightly distracted by other things over the last couple of weeks I don’t know TCG boat races you know pretty cool things but you know what’s also cool iron farms and we’re gonna make some serious progress on this industrial project today come hell or

High freaking water let me tell you my dudes first things first though we need to make some adjustments to our project walls here guys because believe it or not we’ve actually been achieving stuff despite the distractions a couple of weeks ago we finished the gigalogs office for Corrales which means that

Project is now done and dusted and is now replaced by the boat race project with Etho and speaking of the boat race we’ve been making some great progress on laying down track for the course over the last few weeks I’ve been doing most of that work on stream though so make

Sure to come and check us out on Twitch so you don’t miss out on that action but yeah this weekend we had a hermitcraft live stream weekend and we managed to get quite a lot of work done out there man I can’t wait to show you guys the

Bit of track that we’ve laid down but we’re gonna go to the boat race a bit later today guys let’s keep focused distractions are everywhere Iron Golem Farm that’s what we’re doing today now despite the fact that we haven’t spent that much time together on gigacorp island these last couple of weeks guys

I’ve actually been slowly plugging away at small things here and there on the Iron Golem farm and last week I did manage to spend an evening building the very first part of the farm which is going to be the item collection area for all of the iron ingots and the poppies

That the Golems are going to be dropping out of the farm it’s a pretty simple design and there’s a couple of impulse filters in there that will sort out the iron ingots from the poppies and there’s also a clever little mechanism to turn the poppies into bone meal within the

Structure of this thing it’s a great and compact design that has come out of the gigalabs Redstone laboratory so big shout out to Ned stalker for this fantastic bit of redstone in here it is amazing now once we get some Golems flushing through this system guys I’ll

Show you how all of that awesome Redstone Works down there we really do need the farm up and running before I can show you how it’s all functioning it’s kind of a chicken and egg situation so next up let’s work on the mechanism that is actually going to destroy the

Golems so that we can get the ingots out of them and that’s going to be a rather large lava blade sitting over a flowing water source it’s pretty much your bug standard Golem lava blade killing machine guys but before we can actually get it built we gotta get some lava and

Well there’s only one place to get lava around these here parts and that’s from the nether shouldn’t be too difficult though the nether around here is reasonably friendly we’ll just swoop down to a little Lava Lake over here and suck up a couple of buckets I mean you

Don’t need that many right we’ll just take a couple extra if required I guess we just gotta find our way back to the portal okay uh didn’t think this through should have left some markers I have no idea where the portal is okay there’s the portal this is going horribly wrong

You hate to see render get a dog starting the day off with the Derp but here we are I’ve got one more chance to redeem myself here you just gotta fly into the single height hole and we nailed it because the professional bam Sweet Foreign dogs and I’m pretty pleased with the progress that we’ve been making on the iron farm this week you know it’s one of those projects that you think is going to be pretty straightforward to do but when you actually get stuck into it there is quite a lot of intricate work

That needs to be done however the good news is we have done a lot of the more complicated Redstone so far we’ve done the Sorting mechanism underneath here and I have just finished installing one of the first modules into the iron farm and I thought we’d take a few minutes

Now to discuss exactly how this thing works for those of you guys who are interested now the cool thing about this design is that it is modular and we can make it as tall as we want to to increase the number of Golems coming down but there will come a point where

We’re generating so many Golems we’re just making excess ingots and I’m looking forward to experimenting with that trying to figure out exactly how many modules we need for maximum efficiency but let’s quickly talk about the rates because it’s very very interesting so basically this Iron Golem

Farm is made up of these platforms that are set up in a sort of cross like this and at the end of each platform is a little pod now this pod is going to be the home uh for eternity of three villagers they’re going to be stuck in that pod and there

Is going to be a piston over here that every now and then is going to be popping the zombie up into the vision of the villagers that’s going to scare the villagers and uh I think because there’s some beds and a point of interest and because of villager mechanics they will

Spawn a Golem on these platforms over here where the ice is now there’s going to be water flowing here that will flush the Golems into the central column and the Golems will land in the lava there where they will die and we’ll collect the ingots but um this bit of redstone

Is what I want to try and get running today everything should be wired up and ready to go and if I have done the Redstone correctly when we hit this lever over here we will turn on all of the Pistons they’re basically sitting on these Loops right on these Redstone

Loops that basically trigger that piston every five seconds or so as you can see and if we head over to this pod that I was just working on now we can be the Zombie right so we’ll be the zombie in here chilling and yeah if we get the

Gigabug out here you can see that I pop up and when I come up I scare the villagers and the villagers spawn a Golem because they get so frightened uh I don’t know if that’s the exact reason why they spawn the villagers but that’s the reason I’m going with because you

Know I don’t know anything about Redstone uh but yeah that looks like it’s working quite nicely guys excellent and uh yeah we can turn the farm on and off this way right if we uh you know if it’s causing lag or we don’t need it to

Be running anymore we can just turn the the zombie platforms off and then the villagers we’ll just chill inside of their pads now the next big challenge for us of course is to try get the villagers from up here down into their pods in the modules and I haven’t quite

Figured out exactly how we’re going to do that just yet probably need to breed a few more villagers up here also right I think this is where we will keep the villages flowing so that we can fill these pods if it’s going to be three villagers per module that’s going to be

12 villagers per level and probably have three or four levels so that’s quite a lot of villages required of course we still need to figure out how to get a zombie into the zombie Zone over there but that’s a problem for tomorrow’s rain dog problem for today’s rain dog let’s

Get villagers into modules without killing them so some of you guys might not know this but uh there is an Unwritten rule in the world of Minecraft content production that Unwritten rule says do not work with villagers on camera because they will make you look

Like an idiot and uh well I thought we would do a little bit of work with them on camera because I don’t want to be the only one suffering today you guys are gonna suffer with me and I’m gonna try and herd the villagers with boats

I think this is going to be the best way to do this I hate villagers so much guys Beth such idiots um but yeah there we go okay we’ve isolated one of these foolios I’m thinking maybe the safest way to get him into his pod is with a boat and a

Platform and maybe we just make him walk the plank so to speak or both the plank I guess I mean I haven’t really thought of any other ways to do this other than this he will definitely survive the fall in the boat so at least its health and safety compliant

The yeti trouble is lining up the fall with the actual module um that is the tricky bit is is this it is that going to go straight into the module it looks like it I mean I suppose we want to fall maybe off the edge here maybe give it another block like this

And that potentially looks like it’s smack bang in the middle of the module the only way to tell of course is to to try to try it out I guess so I guess here goes nothing over the edge and we just have to hope that we’re going to

Hit the module it’s looking good it’s looking good uh it looks like the momentum pushed us a little bit forward of the module however with some very gentle turning of the boat and some okay we’re stuck on something we we can’t actually move forward I think it might be this that’s

In the way maybe this also uh no that’s that’s not it we’re stuck on something and I don’t know what it is and this is making me panic okay there we go we’re good we’re good we’ve dislodged ourselves and into the module we go we did it nice the village is in here

Although now I’m suspecting he might be unsafe now that these things have been removed so let me just add these back uh where’s the other one oh geez okay hold on here we go we gotta connect that one and fix what we break and that should be it there’s just one more

Thing to do to break the boat and make sure that we don’t hit the Villager when we do so so with F3 and B we show the hitbox and he’s in his module hey that actually wasn’t as difficult as I thought it was gonna be now we just

Got to do this for two more villagers and uh if you would just get in the boat please sir uh no not all in the boat just I just need one in the boat uh hello sir yes hi you want to get in the boat too there’s no

More space the boat is full Golem there’s no more space in the boat all the tickets are sold this cruise is over it’s sold out everybody geez I got two more boats in the inventory to do this and we you ain’t Tim very good look at his friends man he’s like haha I

Got the cruise smell you later filios little does he know that he’s about to be trapped in a chamber for eternity and be scared out of his mind every two seconds you know I mean a villagers gonna derp like nobody’s business oh my goodness there we go boom that’s

Actually kind of fun I must say can we reverse this sucker into the module beep beep beep beep uh villager coming through villager coming through excuse me Mr villager down there you’re gonna get squished okay here we go are we I think we’re on the other villager okay

There we go excellent oh man right that’s another villager in this is getting a little bit more tricky each time though because now there’s another villager that I might hit and I don’t really want to hit them so uh that’s the boat there okay excellent nice two villagers in one to go

All right which one of you foodios wants to go next you look like you you trapped for eternity because you just eyeballed me something fierce sir get in the boat I thank you and let us go over to the fear chamber of Doom forever where you shall now

Spend the rest of your miserable villager life you know it’s don’t look at me villager this is your nature my friend I’m just helping you live your best village of life oh here comes another one he’s okay all right he’s staying up there oh mistakes have been made well at least

We’ve got one ready to walk the plank already here guys just gotta get him into potent I think we want to go off the edge of this Cliff really really gently right I think with too much momentum uh we missed the module completely so there we go and hopefully

That’s gonna hit the spot laughs it hit the bed we hit the bed that one was perfect oh that was perfect it was so worth getting up early for this today guys that was awesome I’m not sure why but I’m feeling an immense sense of satisfaction right now guys

That was amazing man I love redstone in Minecraft especially the Derpy kind of redstone it’s always such a good time and um very very glad that I managed to do this this morning fantastic and next up in this project I need to get villagers into each of the remaining

Modules well I still need to build this one also and I need to set up the Golem streams and most importantly we need to figure out how we’re going to get a zombie in here uh in fact a zombie in all four of these pods and that’s going

To be interesting we’re gonna have to build some sort of zombie spawning mechanism out here somewhere uh but yeah that’s a problem for another day and I tell you what for the rest of this episode we’re going to take a break from all of this villager derpage because I I

Must be honest I don’t want to look at another villager for a while if that’s okay let’s head out over to the boat race because there’s some work we need to do out there and some awesome stuff I need to show you in next episode we will

Crack on with the next part of this Iron Golem Farm which is um getting it zombificated Oh and before I forget guys I did want to show you some of the progress that I’ve have been making out here on Giga Corp island with regards to terraformification

Some of the more astutive you might have noticed that our Mushroom Island is slowly turning into a mu Mud Island and this is something that we spoke about a couple of episodes ago right harvesting a bunch of mud from The Mangrove swamp nearby and turning our Mushroom Island

Into a new biome an industrial biome I suppose and I think it’s starting to look really really great out here you know the sort of oil slick texture of the mud block is just perfect for what we’re doing out here and I think it matches our industrial modules and

Factories really nicely that looks so cool and yeah over the course of the next few months or so I’m just going to be adding a few hundred blocks here every now and then and hopefully within a couple months all of this area will be completely industrialized and the look

Of our Island will have transformed completely so um yeah just a bit of progress I wanted to keep you guys in the loop for looking pretty freaking sweet if I do say so myself welcome back everybody to the boat race and I’ve got to be honest with you right now I’m

Having a bit of trouble recording this segment because I’ve just realized this is the first time that you guys on YouTube have seen this progress out here most of this work if not all of it has been done during live streams over the last three weeks or so and in fact last

Weekend we had a massive hermitcraft live stream weekend where a lot of this got completed and there is a lot to see and a lot that has been done and I’m struggling to figure out where to start um I suppose we can just start by racing

Straight into a wall which is always a great way to start a boat race um but yeah maybe I can just show you some of the stuff that has happened out here and maybe next episode or in a couple of episodes time we can dedicate some time to this project you know it’s

Going to be a massive one which means that I do need to spend quite a lot of time on this off camera if we’re going to actually finish the thing okay you know what I think the best way for me to show you guys the progress I’ve made out

Here is to try and actually race around the first segment that we’ve created here there is a ton of work for us to do by the way we’re going to have to dig through this entire Side of the Mountain to continue the track over there to the

Starting line we also need to start connecting up the bit that ethos worked on you can see that ethos track goes all the way around here and into the distance there that’s awesome but we need to start working on this section here so there is a ton of work for us to

Do and I’ll try to do a bit more of that on camera with you guys here on YouTube uh in the next couple of episodes or so because it is a very interesting project but let’s see if we can take some of these lines and the first one is going

To be the shortcut it’s called The Bump cut we can bump into this thing and that should take us through this Gap perfect and then we can take the safe Lane back into the course which is great or we could have tried to take the um the

Second shortcut there but that is a little bit on the tricky side um I tell you what why don’t we try to take the second shortcut here using the safe Lane line which is going all the way around the back of that bend and remember a ton of races are going to be

Passing through here right because there the start line is there there’s not going to be a lot of accidents and there’s going to be a lot of collisions happening in this area so we don’t want to make it too difficult but this is the safe Lane with the stabilizer pad here

And a booster track to get you back up to speed and that takes you straight into that safe Lane really nicely so if you’re not in the mood for risk and you want to try and take that corner nice and gently there is a safe Lane for you

There too of course there is a safe Lane into a shortcut line that I think will probably be the most popular because that’s going to be a combination of safety and gaining speed and I think uh this is the line that most races would take and I think that for this track my

My plan is to not create like insane shortcuts right so this will be the safe Lane into shortcut line but I want to create shortcuts throughout the track that give races incremental advantages so I don’t want the races to get a massive Advantage from a shortcut

Um because in that for many reasons that will suck number one we’re making YouTube videos so in the videos we I want the Hermits to see each other on the track right I don’t want them to be split apart from one another too much also that’s not really exciting and

Number two I don’t want whoever’s in front to be so difficult to to catch that it’s almost impossible to catch up right we want there to be ways for whoever’s in front to be punished at times so that there’s catch-up Mechanics for those in the back

Um so yeah anyway that’s just some of the ramblings that I have gone through my brain while working on this project out here we’ve been doing this a lot on live stream so you know if you are interested in following this project come check me out on twitch.tv forward

Slash rain.tv and over the next couple of weeks or so I’ll probably start working on this section quite heavily alright friends that’s enough jibber jabber let’s get down to actual progress out here for the rest of the day I think starting with cleaning up the very first

Major drift Bend of the track this uh band of course comes from the starting location and zooms all the way in front of the Pavilion so the Pavilion is going to have a fantastic view of this section of the course which is why I want there to be very a few collisions and

Accidents you know if there’s a term it’s racing out here I want them to all hit this Bend with joy and Gusto and drift around here thinking they’re playing Need for Speed and well when they get to the first chicane that’s when accidents and so on will happen so

Yeah um I’m just gonna clean this entire drift section up and then we can test it out a bit and for fortunately we got to get rid of Etho and I’s campsite over here but you gotta smash up some eggs to make some omelets or something right I

Think that’s a saying of some kind um so yeah let me get all of this fixed up and then we can do some drifting Foreign Oh we be cooking with gas out here today my friends were making some progress here on the first major drift corner of the track just waiting for the water to freeze over though on the sections that I’ve fixed over here of course working out here in these Frozen biomes makes

This sort of work kind of easy to do I mean you can literally just break the ice to make water sources and if you need to cover something with ice like this you just need to make sure that it all turns into still water and well we

Can just do that by forcing some blocks here and there and oh there we go it just did it automatically right you just need enough water flowing into itself and those uh single water sources will get made automatically by the power of Minecraft but yeah I’ve still got a bit

Of freezing work to do out here guys and once it’s done I’ll bring you all back for a juicy test run well friends I’ve got some good news and some bad news the good news is our first major drift corner is pretty much done now looking absolutely amazing just waiting for this

Little patch to freeze over the bad news is I think the scope of this project just got much bigger um I was just finishing off this little section of the track and it looks like we are going to be going straight into the side of this mountain we’re probably

Gonna have to excavate this entire section here and have some sort of concrete overhang or something uh or maybe just have like a tunnel here or something but uh yeah all of this is gonna have to get terraformed into a track and the reason for that is because

I want this section of the track to be really wide for both the incoming and outgoing traffic right if you have a look over here uh this is where we’re going to be starting the race in this position here and this is way too small

Of a track for the start of a race you know if you think about a Grand Prix or something uh the start the the starting sections of the race are always like ready wide and ready thick so that the um the races don’t bump into each other

So yeah there’s gonna have to be a bunch of terraforming down here and probably just gonna have to remove this entire section here and turn it into track but uh you know what I’m down for it man that’s gonna be super fun thing to do

But I tell you what we’re running out of time for today’s episode still waiting for this to freeze over but it should be good enough for us to give a couple of test runs here now on the track and uh I think I’ve got some boats over here

Pretty much moved all of the junk out of the track and into another junk area there so that’s cool that’s a problem for another day but for now I kind of want to zoom around this thing and see what it feels like uh we’re just gonna

Have to dodge a couple of water patches here I think but we should be hitting this area at full speed uh if all goes to plan right so once we’re hitting the corner we should be at Absolute maximum speed which means we can do a nice little drift around here feels like we

Probably want to add some blue ice into that section to make it even faster but if we want to go around the safe area nice and simple and with some decent control we can get into the shortcut round the bend and hopefully would have taken a couple of places with that very

Very spicy driving over there I want to try one more time because even though the track is and finished it is still super fun to drift around in a boat in Minecraft this time around I want to try go into the bump shortcut and then from the bum shortcut into the other shortcut

So we’re going to be going shortcut into shortcut which is should theoretically be the most difficult part of this section so we’re going to go into the bump shortcut take the bump hit the stabilizer and miss the second shortcut right let’s try that one more time shortcut into shortcut and hopefully we

Can nail it this time pretty hard to do this while recording to be honest my brain can generally do one thing badly at a time so doing two things one at a time is pretty much impossible for me but here we go okay there we go oh that

Was so close that was so close Okay I gotta try it again hold on we gotta get this right today before we say goodbye this is an imperative for this episode alright my fellow Speedy Racers this is the one I can feel it let’s hit the

Corner at full speed and we’re going to be aiming straight for the bump right into the middle of this bad boy bump into the shortcut try and slow down and boom into the second shortcut like an absolute champion and that my friends is how your boat race oh you love to see it

Straight into some drift snow so uh yeah professional we nailed it though that was really satisfying too and you know when there’s a bunch of races doing this it’s going to be very very satisfying for you guys to watch us trying to get into these little shortcuts and whatnot

Right there’s some serious Mario Kart action Vibes going on here and well I have a lot of work to do on this particular corner I still need to fix all of the barriers and build the barriers all the way out into the next segment so we’re going to be very busy

On stream this week I think guys uh but for today I’m very happy that we’ve cleaned up the major drift area here and I’m very pleased with this hopefully next episode we can start doing some more work here on the boat race and specifically start working on the

Pavilion on the Loft bill that we spoke about last episode too uh very excited to get that build up and running here but guys that’s gonna do it for today I still have a lot of editing to do I’m a little bit behind on videos at the
