And i’m excited today because these are videos that have been recommended to me for i want to say probably two months at this point it’s a saddest and their animations related to dream the dream smp all the exploits and goings on there now i admittedly i’m hoping it is

Saddest and not sadist i realized it could be pronounced either way but i’ve been going with status all this time so hopefully that is right now today because i’ve completed two sagas right i’ve completed the war uh the revolution that was manberg in the dream smp and i’ve also seen the

Dream versus technoblade hundred thousand dollar duel both of these had been highly recommended by you as saddest animations that i needed to check out so i figure why not let’s do a combo platter today let’s check out both of them all right so i figured for these i’m gonna go in

Chronological order the first one we’ll check out is the dream smp war animatic i’m excited for this one because i had a hard time condensing everything that happened in the war into like three hours worth of videos so how this is gonna be trimmed down into two

Minutes of an actual animatic is beyond me but i am so pumped all right the following video may contain spoilers from the events of the dream smp okay that’s all right out of the gate this is kind of interesting to me because it says you know the dream smp war

As if that was going to be the only one i don’t know a whole lot because i haven’t had a chance to uh make a three-parter for you guys about the smp but i know that there is more conflict it kind of reminds me of how you know world war one was considered

Like the great war i think it was the war to end all wars that might have been world war ii but um you know they considered it all of these things not realizing that something else was going to be coming and now i see the dream smp war and it’s like

Yeah but there might be a little bit more on the horizon all right independence or death if we get no revolution then okay so i love fundy uh we’ve got well obviously wilbur there i’m guessing tommy and i assume that’s eric although that could also be tubbo

So we got we got the whole lumber crew and they have uh donned the skin and we want nothing we would rather die than give in to you and join your snp all right especially there we need to talk about how dream uh looks like and is portrayed in animations

Like no face from uh ghibli movies because it’s i don’t know what it is it’s about that face and the fact that we can’t actually see dream that gets me we got george with the glasses and i assume that that is sapnap on the left well pvp expert of

Course he’s got to have uh his sword there this is exciting everything the light touches is our kingdom i don’t know that i’ve seen this now i gotta i gotta turn my stuff up because dream’s a little bit quiet time as a ruler rises and falls like the sun

One day george the sun will set on my time here and will rise with you as the new king sapnap looked a little bit like scar there he had the he had the anime like annoyed thing on i think it was because dream or yeah dream was anointing george i

Missed that one i didn’t see that video i didn’t know that gree or george is the uh heir apparent to everything going on in the smp right now tommy i want to do whatever i want you to do whatever your heart says though that was so cool they’ll like zoom in

And then they rotate especially for like an animation that you know someone is just making for themselves that’s really good one two three oh man this is so epic three months five six seven eight nine ten pesos fire oh my god i’m like i’m laughing because it’s so oh it’s so well done

Listen to me and i mean this in the nicest way possible you [ __ ] up wow we are at war the ambush yes and we have no mercy no mercy for you it was never meant to be any last words we’ve lost so much oh it’s so intense like

It’s hard to add things just because you see the discs the final control room everything that happened and it makes you realize that it’s like the best i don’t know it’s it could very well be a tv show and it would be just as convincing the white flag white flags outside your face

By tomorrow at dawn or you are dead your dream got angry there i forgot how angry dream got when he was dropping the vid the um the ultimatum there all right so got a little intermission here between the two of them first of all

I have to say that the dream s p war animatic was phenomenal uh it was unbelievable like i have a lot of thoughts but it’s only two minutes long and so it’s kind of hard to cram them all into one spot there but really what i love about that is

It shows sort of what i’ve been saying all along about the smp being a form of machinima and arguably being some of the most compelling machinima out there because it’s steeped in this sort of reality you know what i mean like so i know people say that tommy’s really shy

And he plays a character when he gets on the mic and all that kind of stuff but it definitely feels like you’re invested in these characters you’re invested in what’s gonna happen to wilber tommy had this huge like turn at the end of the first arc where he was just like precocious

You know sort of uh almost trollish type character and then he comes through big at the end not by killing dream but by making the sacrifice that ultimately gets lamenberg their independence i’m trying not to spoil completely everything although i know i just did for at least that part of it

Um but there was a lot there that i sort of didn’t realize i know i watched when dream crossed the line but you see dream and george and sapnap doing a lot more instigating i guess than i had recognized i thought that it was a lot coming from uh

I thought it was a lot coming from the residents of la manberg but now i see that they may have been a little bit justified right when it came to their uh declaration of independence it makes me honestly want to watch the dream smp it

Makes me want to get back into it the thing is those videos are pretty uh tough to make they do require some doing and take a little bit of time so uh maybe i’ll get one of those out this week let me know in the comments below if that’s something you want to

Okay so this was a bigger file i know that but it also looks like it’s about the same link so it’s a couple minutes long so expect me to pause in some spots where i can and then at the end uh i will give my thoughts on it because

I am very much looking forward to this all right music by lena rayne and flex the kid hopefully they don’t seem to mind see that looks to me like saddest not sadist i don’t know and i feel so bad about pronouncing it wrong dream versus jack no blade select your fight

I like this vibe we got going i like the ponytail wait no it’s a more of a pigtail because it’s a little curly cue that’s kind of that’s smart attention to detail they’re stepping on out you got to have your fishing rod every great battle in history has been fought with fishing

Rods we know this oh it’s so hard to not want to drum on the table but i know if i’m sitting here doing the one it’s gonna shake my camera into it’s going to annoy the heck out of you guys nice it’s so it’s already it’s already so incredible because it captures

That moment so perfectly you know what i mean it captures that moment of uh when the when the doors open up and they walk out right the way that mr beast had sold this and the way that uh casual observers would be looking at this is that this was to determine

Like the greatest minecraft player and you imagine the pressure on each of the combatants stepping into the arena knowing that they’ve got to go through with this hundred thousand dollar duel in every technique is in motion at this point it’s also sort of capturing the momentum of the fight pretty well

Because see they keep picking up and putting down the shields in reference to the fact that they were alternating between 1.16 and 1.8 at least that’s that’s the impression i get from it and watching it like something’s gonna happen here dream will probably knock the shield out of i’m guessing uh

Technoblade’s hand and then they’ll go back to sword-related combat and swing back to the axis again in a couple minutes what do we got here we got mr beast we got uh oh that’s probably carl one of those dudes is the guy who was the

The ring guy and then the third one is um oh why do i want to say carson and i feel like that’s horrible no calvin thank you at least i think i got those right nah i love the t-shirts too i technoblade on the mend after dropping some 1.16 action

And of course dream taping up the fist well actually he’s avoiding the taped fist which in a contest where you don’t need melee the taped see the tape around the wrist is smart not only to fix a potential injury but that’s going to give you more

Grip on your weapons which is a good idea it’s funny that they bring modern methods i think the hoof heels solid ah crossbow crossbow bolt oh like what do you say what are other words for good great grand ecstatic incredible tremendous amazing phenomenal stupendous awesome well put together hard work effort unbelievable

Beyond beyond awesome beyond spectacular beyond anything i can think of words for it’s just so cool to watch and the music fits it so well why is dream always portrayed as blonde and why is he typically portrayed as having freckles that’s something i’ve been wondering wait a minute was that an accidental

Dream face reveal there i think we got a dream face reveal although i went back 10 seconds up well i mean it’s there ah see he’s always got freckles and green eyes like the green eyes makes sense the green eyes goes with the jacket but

Is that what dream looks like if you are dream’s face comment down below is that what your face looks like i dropped the crown that’s fine technoblade has way more of those crowns at home he’s got like an unlimited supply because he just keeps winning back to the crossbow

The look of concern on everyone’s face was pretty tremendous mainly because i don’t think that’s what they expected i don’t know i i feel like i feel like that wasn’t the result that they wanted heading into it but it’s kind of like now that i’ve seen the duel play out in three different

Ways and by far this this may be my favorite um you kind of had to you kind of had to see this this comment i think but we’re gonna find out i bet that they’re they’re good friends in the end there you go i mean if you can escape if you can

Escape 10 rounds of mortal kombat with only a calf wound and a wrist wound you’re doing pretty good also is dream a lefty that’s what it’s looking like from this is we got dream the lefty here some fireworks ggs all around you always gotta have the gigi’s all around that’s just good sportsmanship

You got anything else or just this awesome purple i’m digging the purple not gonna lie all right so i think that’s it that was oh man for i think it’s the mark of a good animator that you can generate emotion without dialogue and you feel so many things watching that and

I’m sure that there are so many references and allusions to different moments in the fight that i missed um just from watching the animatic but that was incredible and again i don’t know the difference between animation animatic so i might be getting that phrasing wrong but what do you i mean

What do you say right what do you do how do you react to that other than just every nice word in the books well see i gotta say i love those and i dig the fact that i got to watch them today because it motivates me

To watch more of the dream smp so that i get the chance to watch another saddest animatic at the end of it it’s kind of like the uh it’s kind of like dessert but the dessert is this like super small powerful like ball that is just the greatest thing you’ve ever had
