Welcome to a brand new beta and preview for Minecraft Bedrock Edition this is the version 1.20.40.20 that means the version 1.20.30 is complete which also means we are likely to see that version released next week that will contain all of the 1.20.20 features and all of the 1.20.30 features but today in this video it gets even better before we get questions about shaders in the comments section at the bottom of the change log this is what it said graphical Soul torches are now treated as Point lights in the Deferred technical preview allow data driving of Point lights and their Colors for any blocks via resource packs in the Deferred technical preview but we have a stability and performance change they in improved chunk rendering performance in the Deferred technical preview hopefully that change right there means that people who are testing shaders on lower end devices will have Better fps I will be doing an updated video when I get my hands on an updated shaders pack and here is a picture that I was given by Pokey showing you the data driving of Point lights and their colors if a block has a specific color You will now see that on the floor via shaders can you news we have some very big and long time suggested Minecraft Java parody features let’s get into this today in this video we are starting off with experimental features villager trade rebalancing part two let’s start off by reading the change log it says this pre-release updates the Villager trade rebalance experiment this Experiment has no effect on normal worlds if you want to try these changes you must turn on the feature toggle in the experiments menu when creating a new world now all of this information just explains that they are still looking for feedback on this everything that we are Checking out today is not currently 5 final and they want your suggestions via this link right here if you want the change log it is down below just like Minecraft Java Edition Bedrock now has some changes to the Cartographer villager if you missed yesterday’s video Not a problem let me explain it to you before now cartographers only sold maps to the ocean monument and Woodland mansions in this experiment cartographers can sell seven new maps as well these new maps each point to a different village or structure and can be used to find seven different biomes This will help players who want to quickly find a specific location without waiting until they come across it by chance so seven new maps have been introduced I had to go and do a bunch of exploring for these by the way we now have the desert village map which will Take you to a desert village Edge next we have a jungle Explorer map there’s no such thing as a jungle Village so it takes you to a jungle temple next we have a Plains Village map which is just one of those Plains houses next on our List is a savannah Village map then we have a snowy Village map and we have a swamp Explorer map which of course there is no such thing as a swamp Village so it takes you to a witch hut and last but certainly not least we have the tiger Village map for Minecraft developers Gave us this chart explaining what kind of map you can get from a cartographer in a specific biome so if you’re inside of a desert the Cartographer there can offer you a savannah Village map a Plains Village map a jungle Explorer map if you go to a jungle and you heal a Villager or take a cartographer over there they will trade you a savannah Village map desert village map swamp Explorer map if you go to a Plains there’s only two on offer here you can go to a savannah Village map or a tiger Village map once you’ve traded with a Cartographer in a Plains Savannah takes you to deserts Plains or jungle snowy takes you to planes tiger and swamp the swamp will take you to a snowy tiger or jungle and the tiger will take you to Plains snowy or swamp one of the Minecraft developers also released this Image so let’s say you started off in a jungle biome you located a jungle temple they are saying with a jungle temple you could then locate a tiger Village after that if you’ve traded with a cartographer you could then locate a Plains Village after you’ve traded with A cartographer there you could go to a snowy you could go to a tiger you could go to which you get the point they’re just making it a little bit easier rather than RNG I kind of like the icons I think the developers have done a Pretty good job with this okay so right now we are inside of a Plains Village let’s trade with a cartographer if I trade with this villager he is going to offer me a different map let’s just unlock this one this one is to a Tiger Biome so what I’d say now is if I go to this Tiger Biome which we’re gonna do and I then trade with the Cartographer there they can take me to a new location a few moments later it took a little bit time but without the time so now if they go to this Village Jeff I could now go to a snowy Village or I could go back to a Plains let’s go back to our planes one hour later I’ve now found the planes one if I really wanted to I could trade with this villager I think the other location would be a Savannah I could then locate a savannah you get the point it’s just less RNG and now more predictable cartographers are not the only Villages that changed also armra villager changes these are Nerfs more than anything else it says the biggest change is that buying diamond armor now requires paying A small amount of diamonds as well as emeralds this is meant to make the armrest diamond armor trades less useful at the start of the game when players don’t have any diamonds while still giving a powerful advantage to Advanced players who have spent some time collecting diamonds other changes Include most Master Level armors by iron blocks chainmail armor is exclusively sold by the secret jungle and swamp armrest the Savannah omra sells cursed diamond armor at reduced prices the tiger armrest can swap one piece of diamond armor or another let’s read the change log a word of advice guys take a Screenshot of this picture as well you are going to need it in the next Minecraft update okay so in the first villager changes they changed the way we trade with Librarians and how you get enchanted books from them they made enchanted books biome specific as you Guys know if you want to get mending in the next updates you have to trade with a librarian villager that’s inside of a swamp it’s the same for the armor trades because if we go to a swamp not only is this one of the only two places where You can get chainmail or meh but it’s the only place that you can get mending while trading with the omra itself now swamps don’t have Villages right that means you have to cure them save them build a village if you wanted to and then you have access to all of these now They are saying at Master trade all of these being desert jungle plane Savannah snow and swamp will let you trade one block of iron before emeralds but if you go to a Tiger Biome this one right here you can trade 1 diamond block for 42 emeralds I don’t know anyone who’s gonna Do that sounds good on the surface but not something I’m going to be doing if you wanted the curses they are much cheaper there’s going to let’s say I don’t know trying to get yourself the snow Frost Walker version for your boots and stuff like that so yeah again these Changes are huge and they’re pretty much nerfing the armorer so this guy right here I fully maxed them out takes a little bit of time to trade with them so if I now wanted to get myself diamond leggings I need three diamonds and 16 emeralds to get them let’s see if There’s any guy here that I haven’t traded with ah there you go right there diamond leggings now one thing you’ll notice is we’re playing so all of the trades are protection doesn’t matter which one I go to they’re always going to be protection if I go to you they are Always going to be protection now this guy right here I can sell an iron block for four emeralds it’s much cheaper than selling five ingots for one so they’re saying that’s better now again they said most of them will sell me um emeralds for one iron block yeah bro I did a lot of trading and only one of them actually offered it to me well I haven’t traded with this guy but yeah so it’s not as common as you think hopefully it will be in the next update but yes if you wanted to get specific diamonds or Enchanted armor that’s also Biome specific as well like I said the tiger one is a little bit weird when you come here and trade with an arm in order to get the boots I would have to trade a helmet and for emeralds to get them which is really weird and then after I’ve done that I could then try and get the leggings as well now it’s gonna do a bunch of Trades here until we get to the master ones I’ve now fully traded with this guy I can now buy the enchanted version which will cost 18 emeralds and Four diamonds but I can trade a diamond block for emerald in fact I could do a bunch of that if you come to a swamp fully max out a villager here you can see here we can get the chainmail and we can get chainmail with is mending on some other important changes include Structure loot certain enchanted books now have a high chance of generating in some structures ancient cities provide more mending books mine shafts produce efficiency anywhere from efficiency one to five Pillager outposts you can get Quick Charge one to three desert temples produce Unbreaking one to three jungle temples Unbreaking one to three let’s Test that theory uh myself a Pillager Outpost this has Quick Charge too let’s see if this Temple has Unbreaking like it said nothing inside of there nothing inside of there nothing inside of there and unfortunately nothing inside of there so it’s not a 100 chance so mine shafts are supposed to offer you Efficiency let’s see if this one has any it has efficiency five we got pretty lucky there moving on to features and Bug fixes starting with accessibility fixed and issue where text to speech did not say how to open chat or emotes text to speech message for pop-up title slash Description is now played properly audio changes guardian and Elder Guardians make flopping sound again when on land all right let’s test this one so we’ve got both of these let’s place this down they now have a flopping sound that was broke previously another change includes wither skeletons now have their own Unique sounds listen to this one It also says updated the sound that is played when with a skeleton skulls are placed on top of note blocks okay skull on there listen to this stray cat now play a sound when begging for food did you get jealous there little guy alright stray cats listen Even more audio changes changes to bottles bottles now emit sounds when filling from water blocks listen to this pouring water or potions from a glass bottle into a cauldron emits the appropriate sounds listen to this filling a glass bottle with water or potion from a cauldron now emits appropriate sound listen to this And lastly drinking from a glass bottle now emits the appropriate sound it’s the same for potion as well as water listen to this moving on to gameplay changes skork block no longer drops XP when mined with silk touch so if we get a forward slash game mode s previously you could do this You’d get XP and you’d still end up with the block yeah they fixed that zombie villager curing time is now randomized between three and five minutes to match Java Edition what was it previously on Bedrock if somebody could let me know alright let’s actually test this and sail along it actually takes Thank you foreign Thank you Foreign Thank you foreign Foreign Oh my God Thank you I’m not gonna lie I have no idea how long that took but I will have like a counter on screen that seemed to take a lot longer than I expected though they fixed an issue we’re moving slowly on Soul Sand would sometimes cause the player to not receive the soul speed Movement speed we have a bug report this seemed to be a parity issue because on Minecraft Java edition if you had a trapdoor and soul speed on and you went across a soul block you can see you’re moving a little bit faster but if we go Back and we check out the Bedrock one prior to this update if you tried to do this you still went slow and yeah you just didn’t move the way Soul speed was meant to be moving so if we grab the boots we put this on do this instead Person you go down you’ll see here the screen moves slightly now I tried this on both of the blocks and it does look like they have actually fixed it for both of them you can see the particles and you can see me moving a little bit faster players can no longer sometimes Clip through blocks when flying in creative mode and spamming the sneak button players can no longer sometimes clip through blocks when gliding with elytra into blocks buckets can no longer pick up liquids for a few ticks after they’ve been placed we have a book report that means you can now MLG water Bucket clutch a lot better on Minecraft Bedrock Edition it’s been an issue in all of these versions and was reported back on the 20th of September 2020. so I’m just going to show you here if we go up here I go to forward slash Game mode s we want to do an MLG 360 water blocker challenge you can’t instantly pick it up now three is a slight tick when you are dropping down I love it they said this should help make placing and retrieving liquid in a quick succession far more consistent as well As help players that are using a water bucket to quickly avoid fall damage check this out falling from a great height while in a boat no longer deals for damage anymore we have a bug report another feature that has been requested for a very long time pretty much a Java Parity we do have a video here a Minecraft Bedrock edition if you’re in a boat and you go off the edge you would take damage and in fact sometimes die that’s not going to be the case players now want to be able to stand on top of Boats and I’m going to show you we are gonna go 150 blocks in the sky and I’m going to show you how this has been fixed so a lot of really good changes in this version place this down get inside the boat forward slash game mode s we are Then gonna face this way and go down go down go down and I don’t die I love this one you are no longer gonna die but also remember 4 damage is the now absorbed by The Entity that lands on the ground when mounted and passed onto the passengers If the mount dies so if I was on this horse all the way up there the horse is gonna die after the horse dies it will also do damage to me as well so yeah the legs to your boats are fine things like horses mules donkeys anything else that You can ride it would not be fine moving on to General changes and fixes diagonal Banner patterns no longer gets inverted when applied to a shield we have a bug report so ever since 1.20 released whenever you placed a banner which was facing black on the right and white on The left it just inverted it it was the complete opposite way they fixed that today and to prove that to you I have a loom here that goes in there we place that there you can see black on the top left right on the bottom right Side of here if we put the shield in there with this you can see it doesn’t matter where it goes you can see here it’s now going to be the exact same we also have some chest changes let’s read the change log it just says chest blocks use States and tons of directional Changes same for trap chests ender chests and even the stonecutter moving on to graphical changes this one’s weird it says equipped Enchanted armor now has an overall weaker glint however its intensity more noticeably increases and decreases over time so if I have forward slash enchants at p and we did this as Mending for example let me put this on the enchant is decreased but over time it will increase to me that’s a really weird change don’t fix it if it’s not broken changes with Mobs mobs no longer receive 4 damage when falling into a one block deep water pool rub bits can once Again eat partially and fully grown carrots moving on to Vanilla Java parrot tea sheep that have been sheared previously and have since grown back wool will now drop wall upon death okay so this one’s really really strange so if we just place down a bunch of sheep Real quick we go ahead and shave these we’re just gonna wait for one of these to eat some grass there you go right there we kill them now it still drops wool let’s go back to the previous version but this is the latest release on Minecraft Bedrock edition if we go Ahead and shave these as you guys can see they’re all shaved when one of these now eats wool and we go ahead and then kill it it won’t drop any wall at all it’s a really really weird one that one right there let’s kill him as you can See it only drops food I don’t know how you guys discover this stuff boxes can now pick up items that can be equipped we have a bug report so another parity issue foxes couldn’t pick up armor or mopeds or things like carved pumpkins so let’s test this right now We’ve got one two three four foxes place that down place that down there you go there oh didn’t pick up the Army yet though doesn’t seem to want to pick up the army they did pick up the other stuff though they did pick it up right there so yeah As you guys have seen closing the inventory of a boat raft or Minecart with chest now emits vibrations so if we were to place that down hold on and then open that as you guys can see and hold on that’s just a regular raft isn’t it Uh let’s get like a raft with a boat we place this down real quick it does emit it we open a chest come on one more time there you go it emitted it it also says cartographers no longer offer exploration Maps as a trade item we’re not in the Overworld zombified villagers Now have the correct biome overlays changed the default value of the respawn radius in the advanced settings to 10 user interface clicking off the game window will not unselect a friend this will also not add a new invite for the currently selected Friends when the game window is selected once more smithing Table no longer shows double overlapping tool tips for some slots item names no longer overlaps with the absorption health bar item names no longer overlaps with the health bar item names no longer overlaps with the oxygen bar updated brewing stand interface to always stay within its background when scaled fixed A bug with a tool tip for the v-sync setting was showing without being hovered let’s read the book reports these have been an issue for quite a few Pocket Edition players where the tool tips just overlap everything and it just looks a little bit of a mess the next One here again it seems to be the same issue for many different things and you can see it again there there was one with the heart situation the next one we have is for which one’s this one when being on a horse or something you can see the horse’s heart there again you Get the point but they finally fix those today last but not least technical updates let’s read the changelog there is a lot of technical update changes to add-on and scripts commands components Mo Lang trade table and much more if you’re
