ECKOSOLDIER – How to use locate biome command in Minecraft Bedrock Edition (Secret Feature)

In the latest minecraft beta and preview the developers have finally added the forward slash locate biome command so minecraft players for bedrock edition are now able to locate any biome they want Welcome back my name is echo hope you’re having an absolutely fantastic day this is a very good day for the minecraft bedrock community because this is a requested feature for such a long time now you have to understand that this is in beta preview this is still a work in

Progress something else i’d like to mention is that the locate biome command does not require experimental features however if you are using the forward slash locate command chances are you might try and find biomes that are underground please remember that if you want to use spectator mode it is hidden

Behind the experimental toggle i’ve had so many people say hey echo i don’t have spectator mode you do you just haven’t enabled it what i want to do in this video is just go over the locate biome command compare it to java and also share with you a secret feature that we

Have all been missing on minecraft bedrock edition the locate biom command is simple in chat just type in forward slash locate space and you type in biome now the bedrock version is slightly outdated and i didn’t know this until you guys told me because you’ll see biomes such as birch underscore forest

Underscore hills underscore mutated those mutated biomes they’re no longer a thing but they’re still in the coding for minecraft bedrock edition which i imagine with enough feedback will be removed so if i was to try and find myself a birch forest and we do mutated

In this chat it’s gonna pop up and say we couldn’t find this biome within a reasonable distance that is because it does not exist ever since we had caves and cliffs part two those biomes were fully removed if we run the same command and we do birch and we do

Hills we’re gonna get the same issue again which is obviously gonna be could not find this biome type within a reasonable distance so bedrock is a strange one because some of the biome names have been removed while they’ve left others inside of there lazy developers have left the coding in there

Now i’m just joking but on a serious note remember that’s something been removed we do forward slash locate biome and then we do jungle so jungle edge i’m pretty sure that was also removed if we run just a couple of these commands here we do biome jungle i’m

Pretty sure the hills was also removed as well no we actually managed to find a jungle edge so jungle edge was not removed but i’m pretty sure the hill variation was there you go right there decided to do a little bit of research as to what biomes

Have been removed and it clearly says here developers ended up removing some sub biomes in the 1.18 update players won’t find the following biomes naturally generating in caves and cliffs part two so you’ve got things like badlands you’ve got the bamboo jungle hills birch forest hills dark you get

The whole idea behind this there’s tons of different ones that have been removed and i already talked about the whole badlands situation on bedrock because on bedrock badlands don’t exist if you type in forward slash locate biome and you try and type in badlands nothing pops up

That is because in the bedrock version the badlands are still recognized as the mesa biome and something else that’s also not possible is the mutated version also does not exist however i am curious here if we do locate biome we do mazer just a regular mazer curiously we can

Find one within a reasonable distance but you can see here the birch forest mutated can’t be found hills can’t be found jungle hills can’t be found bamboo jungle hills can’t be found the mazer mutated can’t be found because those bombs don’t exist but we did manage to find

A regular mazer so i’ve run two commands here just wanted to locate a mushroom island there’s gonna be one more that will not pop up and i think it’s the mushroom underscore island underscore shore i’m not entirely sure if this was a removed biome let’s have a quick look

Mushroom field sure so i think it’s possibly gonna be this one alongside the new biome command they also added forward slash locate structure so you can find a specific structure however there’s no way near enough structures being listed so i’ve already talked about this if you’re on java you can actually locate

A specific village in a specific biome for example a plane’s village in a plane’s biome so if we were to type in planes you’ll see it’s not there there’s no swamp hut there’s no witch hut those things are missing i know you guys are telling me that the witcher is classed

As a temple in some cases i’ll go and find a desert temple or jungle temple or it will find you a witch-hunt which again it doesn’t make sense in my opinion so this is also slightly outdated and for those who have never played java edition we will do a

Comparison but one thing that we are really really needing here is in the biomes let’s say we locate ourselves let’s just do a planes biome because it’s really really simple this is going to find a planes technically in one on java you’re able to tap on this which would basically give you the

Ability to do forward slash tp rs and then it would give you the specific coordinates and you can instantly travel to them the problem we have here is as soon as we start typing forward slash tp at s the coordinates they disappear right like they’re gone these are gone

So two things can happen here number one they put this up here it stays up here number two we can tap on it and it pops up in here because as soon as we type in force tprs the coordinates are gone and this is what it looks like on java edition if we

Type in forward slash locate biome as you can see here like it has absolutely every single detail you need to know if we type in planes obviously we can type in the planes it is going to locate a planes and you can see here the nearest planes is at this

And we can tap on this and this will instantly pop up in here and then i can just hit enter and through the magic that is minecraft java edition we managed to find ourselves a plane’s biome actually this is a perfect location found the planes found a jungle

Found a village right on the shore absolutely perfect but you get the idea but this is where it gets better with java edition if we do forward slash locator and we type it in structure and we type in witch hut there’s no such thing as a witch hut you have to type in

Swamp plots so you can see here how the swamp is completely different if we type in temple for example is it temple um temple no temple what would it be desert something desert pyramid what about jungle and jungle pyramid ah okay it’s not even named as a temple on this

Version it’s named as those so if we were to find like a swamp port you can see i’m able to find a swamp and that’s the comparison and that’s the big differences but my absolute favorite feature with the locate command on java edition is forward slash locate

Structure type in village you can locate any village that you desire so this is why we always compare bedrock to java but again it’s the first time we’ve seen the locate biome command or structure command on the bedrock version so there’s still a lot of room for improvement the developers are taking

Active feedback regarding this feature and i’m quite sure the features that i’ve actually mentioned here will be covered in the future and literally looking right here registered user the desert temple situation jungle swamp etc so yeah again it’s good to see that the community is now doing a comparison i

Literally talked about the ability to click on things here like click on the command thing here so helpful so yeah good to see that the community is already giving active feedback the last thing i want to talk about in today’s video is a secret feature that bedrock players have that nobody is talking

About huge thank you to xinjiang who brought this to my attention he was like i don’t know if i’m late or not but i found a very interesting feature in minecraft bedrock edition in the previous beta apparently this is a feature that has been around for a

Little bit of time let me show you keep an eye on where it says chat and commands so what you want to do is heading to your settings then you want to scroll down until you see the creator setting at the top creator setting is enable copy coordinate ui turn that on

This thing is a game changer again i had no idea existed maybe some of you did maybe some of you didn’t but in chat at the top it will now display your position so it’s telling me that i’m currently standing on these coordinates as you guys know they’re the

Exact same matter here you can see the coordinates are the exact same however when you open text chat you know that these things disappear so them being there are absolutely huge you’ve got my position and block position which again your position is going to be a little

Bit more accurate compared to the block position over here you have the ability to copy the coordinates and this one instantly puts them in chat instantly puts them there so now the only reason why i’m showing you this is because i think the developers might use this system to auto grab the command

So apparently it’s been in since a couple of 1.18 versions never knew it existed and the reason why this is useful i’m going to show you right now here so what i’m going to do is i’m going to stand right here i’m going to open this

Up i’ve got my position right here i’m going to copy my position i’ve got i’ve got a copy now right instantly i’m gonna go over to here we’re gonna put this right here i’m gonna type in forward slash fill we’re gonna do the squiggles the squiggles recognizes the exact position

You’re in and then i’m gonna do this and then i’m just gonna type in grass and for those who have never messed around with commands before this is a game changer i don’t have to open up a notepad document to remember where my coordinates are or anything like that i

Can simply just use my positions it’s so helpful so let’s say i wanted to get rid of these grass things here right because obviously as you guys know my flat i flatten my area so what i’ll do is i will stand right here open up this

You can see my coordinates right there i can put them right in chat if i wanted to and then hit enter so i can remember them but while i want to do that i’ll copy them so now that they’re copied i’ll go over to here and we’re going to do forward slash fill

This again which is my current position same coordinates which we just copied i’m just gonna set it as air and just like that it gets rid of it what an absolute game-changing feature and like i said i think it’s gonna make uh use of this feature when the locate
